What about some form of Devil's Elysium's idea of increasing the duration of the initial casting? |

Not applicable, since they run different scripts, and as far as i'm aware, the problem only exists with the Warlock buddy variant. In other news, the direct spell cast variant anyway is also strangely coded and differ from the GUI version. The in-game description is wrong (at least in the base game version - haven't cross checked with ours, it state a +4 Dodge to AC which is definitely wrong). The Buddy version also has a bug in that if you have it active and another party member is in another area with any haste effect on, it will strip that haste effect. EDIT: Still not sure why the extra attack goes missing though, its a regular Haste effect. |

Will this be changing the refresh rate of ALL Warlock Buddy effects, or just the Flee The Scene? |

Ah, think i may know. Every round it checked to see if the character was in combat. It then, regardless of whether the spell had expired, removed the effect and replaced it. As haste effects add the extra attack at the end of the round, i think what might be happening is the extra attack doesn't get in before the effect is removed. So, what i'm doing is increasing the refresh to 30.1 seconds (as effect is 30 seconds) and then applying again. At worst it will then mean for 0.1 seconds you will periodically lose your haste and it may cause the extra attack to be lost once per 5 rounds, although i hope not if my logic is correct. @Orlitoq - just Flee The Scene - but if there are problems with other buddy feats at least now i have an idea why some things might act screwy. |

Since blasts don't get the extra attack, don't see it as a big loss... and you should definetly update/remove the part about it granting 4 AC, because thats BS. |

It matters for any melee party members though, or if the Lock is using a melee weapon to attack. As for the +4 - in-game description needs checking. Can't do that at the moment. |

Yeah, but flee the scene is not very reliable in the heat of battle because renewing it means you stop blasting. Usually had a more dedicated spellcaster do the haste in the group. |

If you really want to delve into 'PnP', aren't Warlock invocations Free round actions with no somatic components or gestures which also allow them to be immune to silence? I can't remember where this was referenced from, but I recall, once again, the Sundren staff discussing it and making changes to the class. My bad that I quote their changes so much, it's just that they really added 'flavor' to some of the base classes. (As well as breaking others to ridiculous heights.) Back on topic though, Warlock Buddy makes for excellent 'Party Haste' when you don't have a persistant mage around. |

Another possibility, Plaxy100, would maybe be to add an Invocation that is the regular PnP version of Flee the Scene (Dimension Door), and call it something else, like... I dunno... Shadow Slip or something. I'm not the greatest at thinking of names for things on the fly. |

We won't go changing an existing spell that is used by 99% of Warlocks to something different. Adding a dimension door type spell as a separate invocation could be possible, but to be honest, i wish we had never included Dim Door in the first place... such an annoying ability. Still if a builder was willing to add it, i can't argue strongly against it. |
