Just copy/pasting Loki's list of improvements in the latest update, enjoy!

It's been a while since we last had an update but this one brings quite a few changes. A number of these features are experimental and have not recieved extensive testing. If you note a bug, please report it.

Fixes

  • Mechanus canon is no longer extendable
  • Dimension door no longer has a somatic component
  • Unusable traps removed from toolset
  • Traps that were not setting in Gith Fortress (Invalid Trap Type) should now be set correctly.
  • Change made to Stag form from Brux Totems
  • ThornShield and Aurumnovorax(?) Armour fixed
  • Remove Curse should now actually remove all penalties associated with Bestow Curse
  • DM Faction Tool had a problem with Anarchist players if they switched the order of their badge and cover faction badge in inventories. It failed to detect their cover faction. This should now be resolved.
  • When giving items as part of a quest, the quest giver should now only remove a single stacked item if you have more than one. Eg: Muriel should only take a single bat's tooth from you instead of all of them in your inventory.
  • Gith chests should now work with the "knock" spell
Changes

  • You can now suicide if you are stuck for any reason (usual death penalties apply though), use: "/t <your char name> suicide" in the chat box
  • Change to hired Thugs and Rogues in that if you give them armour their appearance will change. Additionally their AC has been slightly lowered.
  • A number of new "purples" are being added.
Two big new features!!!!

SIGIS goes live within Sigil!!!!
Yes indeedy! You can now read SIGIS within the game. The also use a special Sigil based calendar for dates.

To write an article, buy a parchment from any of 3 NPCs (sales boy in the Bazaar, journalist in the B&J, editor in Under Sigil village). Use the parchment to write your article.

To read the paper, but a copy from any of the 3 NPCs. The paper will display the last weeks articles. Articles are persistent and you can keep old copies in your inventory.

To submit a story, you need to submit a written article (use the parchment on the NPC) to either the journalist or the editor. The news seller in the Bazaar will not submit stories (this was deliberate to stop spam and instant replies without leaving the Bazaar - this is a newspaper not IRC!).

New Barbarian Feat Paths

To take advantage of the new feats, you must choose one of two history feats when creating a Barbarian (ie: At level 1), you only get the choice of taking history feats when you create a character, so you must be Barb at level 1. Hope that's clear.

The two feat paths are Tribal Barbarian and Totem Barbarian. Note, all new feats only work while Rage is active!!!

The Tribal Barbarian can take the following feats (details are given in the feat descriptions):

  • Blazing Rage (immunity to fire, weakness to cold)
  • Frozen Rage (immunity to cold, weakness to fire)
  • Frantic Rage (DEX gains bigger rage boost, STR does not)
  • Chaotic Rage (additional damage vs Lawful opponenents)
  • Fearless Rage (immunity to fear while raging)
  • Vigorous Rage (instantly heal HP when entering Rage)
  • Rage Senses (your senses are enchanced)
  • Superstitious Rage (improved saves)
  • Terrifying Rage (epic only! Requires Rage 5 or something like that and 21 levels), DC based off intimidate score.
The Totem Barbarian gains creature weapons, the appropriate proficiencies, and access to the following feats:

  • Elephant Totem (Rage STR bonus increased)
  • Monkey Totem (Rage DEX bonus increased)
  • Bear Totem (Rage CON bonus increased)
  • Snake Totem (Dodge AC bonus)
  • Tortoise Totem (Shield AC bonus)
  • Rhino Totem (Natural AC bonus)
  • Ancestor Spirit Totem (Conceal bonus and improved AC and saves vs spirits)
  • Crocodile Totem (increased damage)
  • Honey Badger Totem (increased AB)
  • Lizard Totem (gives regen)
  • Ancestral Weapon Totem (when in rage an ancestral weapon appears in your hand, weapon improves with your level - be warned, whatever you are wielding will go into your inventory, you cannot remove the weapon either and it will vanish when rage ends).
In addition, Thundering Rage also recieved some improvement, gaining higher damage on criticals and the possibility to Daze enemies on hit with DC based off Intimidate score.
