Might there be a way, maybe in the ooc room, to have the ability to remove XP pools? I have a 1st level character and I want him to stay that way. At one time he was higher level so I rebuilt him and chose "never gonna play this character again" in the hopes it would destroy the pool. Didn't work. Every time I log in, I get XP from the pool and eventually level. Then I have to go and delevel, again, to get back to first. I know of at least one other char who wants to remain first level with the same issue. Would this be any easy fix? I don't want to keep asking you to edit the .bic file every time he gets errant XP from an event or RP. |

I could delete your exp pool, but you can also choose to not level up also. If you want me to delete the exp pool, then feel free to say so here, but be aware that I won't reimburse the loss afterwards, I'll just remove it. Or if you really want to be level 1, I can just give you +29 level adjustment. Means you're level 30 as a level 1

I understand you can do that, and I wouldn't be looking for a return of it, but can we consider putting in a more permanent means of doing this in game? Perhaps on the same NPC who delevels/deletes you? I certain I'm not the first player who has wanted this, and probably wouldn't be the last. |

If you want to give me the 29 level adjustment, go for it. I've no intention of leveling this character up at all. Garen Seph Account Darkrob_13 Thanks

Changed to LA+29 then, that should do it. |

That should prevent you from gaining xp in all cases except DM pool rewards though, so you might still need to remove xp if you get rewards like that (hopefully DM/EM's will realize that you don't want xp and not torment you with that reward though) |

I dunno, I think if I was an EM, I'd probably give him some xp out of sheer perversity... |

Yeah. I put a line into my Goblin Beggar's description asking politely to not be rewarded with XPs. Of course it did not work. ![]() |

Well, if a DM is not using Skywing, they cannot see your "examine". |

Yeah, I know. I also must admit that I do not inspect before hitting guys with the wand as well -I see some good RP and then hit first and ask later. |

I guess this has to be the first time i've ever seen a thread dedicated to desire to not get XP. ![]() I've seen it enough times where players/characters don't grind and try to get to level 30 without killing (although its hard unless there is a heavy DM/EM presence noting your RP), but to reject XP altogether is a little more out there. I wonder what people would think of the following system: You can start a character at level 30, but every time you kill a monster you lose XP equivalent to what you would have gained. Also, DMs can use a special "Bad RP Penalty wand" which will reduce your XP if you do bad RP. Chatting will not increase your XP (but also will not lower it). The aim of the game is to keep your character at level 30.

Another option would be to simply not take the level. After 2999 XP, you will actually stop accumulating XP. |
