So, another bug. This time it's a doozy. Earlier it was working as intended, but now no matter what my ghoul equips as far as gloves go, it acts like all the damage properties on it aren't there at all. The attack bonus and feats still apply. Just none of the damage or on hit properties.

Any idea what gives?

Yeah, creature weapons i guess. Creature weapons are really screwed up in their implementation.

Not sure i can do anything about that.

So the Nymph's Unearthly Grace feat actually SUBTRACTS ac in the amount of the PC's charisma, rather than adding to it. Furthermore, it does so with each rest, with the effect stacking on top of one another. Saves get their rightful bonus, but the ac is clearly borked.

Oops. Guess i used decrease rather than increase. And it needs to be an extraordinary effect instead of a supernatural one.

Character's a fist monk, so this kinda matter a lot. Just let me know if it turns out it can't be fixed so I can shelve the character. Fist monk without gloves isn't playable, not even as a joke.

The idea of giving creature weapons is that they should be better than regular fists (either more damage or a special effect). In the case of ghouls it should be (see earlier bug report about ghoul claws), so really can't remove them without changing one of the key features about ghouls.

So i'm not going to get rid of the claws, and therefore if you go monk you will not get monk fist damage progression (it should be codeable by comparing damage they should get with the damage on the creature weapon, but it would be messy and not sure a good idea).

Doubt i can do anything about the extra damage from gloves, so i guess you best shelve the character. If i make any progress on this issue though ill announce it in an update.

Interesting, just took a look at this script and its definitely listed as an AC increase. I did put it as an extraordinary effect but didn't put a check in whether effect was already in place - which shouldn't matter because it should dissapear on rest being an extraordinary effect. - stacking shouldn't happen.

So i think i know what is going on here... i think, like often happens, the character sheet is lying.

Did you try it in combat? Did you see the AC scores there?

I think maybe what is happening is Dodge bonus added is not being shown on the char sheet, but its being subtracted when it removes on rest, and then does not show again after rest.

Just a theory, ill check it out myself when i get the chance.

I can probably offset this a bit by making it a supernatural effect, so it doesn't get lost on rest, and putting in a check for effect already on the PC so it doesn't try and reapply.

I guess this is not really a bug, but can any thing be done about the games perception on how much room a character needs? I've created a young bronze dragon, and the game seems to think he's many multiple times the width he actually is. The game thinks he's so big that it will not let him pass between Grinne and the the merchant with the beetles in the bazaar. He also struggles to get up the stairs in the OOC room in order to enter the game because it thinks he's too big to get past the Mimir.

Its not too much of a problem as in the first case you can just detour around and a bit of WASD movemnet gets him close enough to get into the game, but if there is a setting that can be changed to to say they're only 1/2 the width they currently are it would be much appreciated.

Anyway, thanks for adding so many interesting races to play!

Hmm... the young dragons should be the same size as the Dragon companions you can get as a Druid. I guess i messed up the appearances then? Perhaps selecting full sizes dragons.

Ill check it out.

Don't worry if i did make this mistake, i can fix it and then just edit your BIC to set the new appearance.

It is probably the correct appearance, he's about the size of a large pony/small horse with both height and width sliders set to the lowest setting. I assume that the normal dragon model is nearly as big as a house. I can't find any pics of a dragon companion so I shall make a druid off-line when I get home.

It wouldn't surprise me if the game makes the hit boxes (for want of a better term) a square around the character, so him being long and thin means he ends up with a very wide box.

Does turning Closeness on in DMFI Tools/Misc help? It's a noclip hack that let's you pass through doors and people with bumping them away, in case you didn't notice.
"From the realms below we ride,
And in terror they run and hide,
From the shadows of old we rise,
Awakened, from the dark!

Over the ancient ruins we fly,
Where the old kings go to die,
And the new kingdoms rising high,
Awakened, from the dark, dark slumber!"

Yeah, should probably mention it more to newcomers, I personally use it all the time and it makes walking around much less of a hassle. (and you can squeeze between enemy mobs instead of walking around their giant hitbox)

Tom - it is considered an exploit using it in combat as it allows you to get past monsters without taking extra hits going round them. Please keep that in mind.
