Technical Question Regarding Image Files

So I've been sort of ripping the images (such as race icons) from the game's .tga files and converting them to .png files. I've been doing this because I'm working on spreadsheets to help create characters and I put some images in there.

My question is where can I find the .tga files for images such as the following?

Are these special race icons hidden somewhere in the default installation of NWN2 or are they downloaded with the Sigil mod? If Sigil, where are they?

Thanks for any info regarding this.

The first two might or might not be either edited images of material item icons.

The third one, is the Blade Golem from NwN2's OC. It should be in the original game's files, not Sigil's.
Izmiara the Insatiable - Charming, Polite, Sensual, Vicious, Courtesan
Meskhenet - Atoning, Purposeful, Exalted, Mummified, Priestess
Valana - Unholy, Bloodthirsty, Arcane, Flirty, Jasidin
Iseriah - Versatile, Sneaky, Infernal, Mercenary, Huntress

Hm. I assumed if they were in the original game files they'd be located in:
Code:

C:\Program Files\Neverwinter Nights 2 Complete\UI\default\images\icons\

As that is where most of the smaller UI icons are located. Couldn't find them though. Search continues I guess.

Actually everything we use can be found by digging through our HAKs. However, it can be a rather tedious process, and you'll need several applications to do it.

1. Download Tanita's NWN2Packer, and use it to unpack the file scod3_2das.hak. These 2das are what control everything, and hold information including what icons are available.

2. Download TlkEdit and open up racialsubtypes.2da. The fields female_race_icon and male_race_icon contain the information as to what file is used to generate the icon. In the case of the blade golem example, the file is ira_bg_raceicon. It's assumed to be a tga file.

3. Using the NWNPacker again, open up scod3.images.hak. Almost all of our icons are in this folder. You can then unpack the individual ira_bg_raceicon.tga file you want from here.

4. If you don't have a program that can work with tga files, download IrfanView to view it, and also to be able to convert it to jpg. If you plan on editing it, you'll need a more serious program like Photoshop or Gimp.

We ran to the sounds of the thunder.
We danced among the lightning bolts,
and tore the world asunder.

Thanks Ceremorph.

I'll check that out once I get the chance.
