So I moved out to go on this cool traveling program, so bam, I quit playing on Sigil. But now I'm considering going back because I've been talking with Electrohydra about the server again! However, I found one big problem - The site that I originally bought the game from has gone out of business, and I'm across the country from my computer that still has the copy downloaded. Now, money isn't a problem and I can easily buy a new copy - the problem is that this would mean my CD Key is different than it used to be. This would mean that I'd have no access to my previous characters right? I spent something like 80+ hours on the server on one character, let alone the many others. So I have a few questions: The easiest one - would I possibly be able to easily find my old CD-Key in the files? I left my computer at home with my... rather tech illiterate older brother, but I could guide him through it and have him email me the numbers if it's easy to find. The harder one - if I can't get my old CD-Key, is there any way I can access my characters with a new one? Or will I need to make a new account and new characters with none of their old stuff? |

I've seen admins copy paste characters from one account to another. I'm pretty sure they could do that for you too. Or at least something in the same vein. |

In the Neverwinter Nights 2 install directory, open the file called nwncdkey.ini. It contains the three keys (for the OC, MotB, and SoZ) you'll need. |
