Hi guys, Just thought I'd post this up, since I know not everyone is good at being a munchkin, which is fine after all since Sigil is not the hardest place to grind, but it can be nice to play someone super powerful once in a while and roll over Carceri. As such, I have come to the conclusion that I should offer my skills not only as an EM, but as a builder of classes. Maybe some people want more RP centric builds, but don't want to be flattened in Brux. Perhaps others would like a go at being a munchkin, have neither the knowledge, patience or perhaps haven't really cared to figure it all out. What I'm asking for is - Give me the race you want. Give me the base class you want. (MAIN base class, cleric dips for cheese are added if power is wanted) Give me the extras. (Feats you want to take, do you want to be a crafter? How much cheese do you want? Or do you just want an effective build with more RP skills like diplomacy and search.) Of course, I can answer general questions as well about certain feats, builds etc. Do not take my word as gospel, I might be wrong in certain respects but I feel I can squeeze most the juice out of the proverbial power orange. Happy hunting Sigilians

Vampiric 'Wall of Steel' Monk with disappearing tricks Race: Human Alignment: Any Lawful Deity: Any Background: Whatever, recommended Devout for Will saves Starting Base Attributes: STR - 9 DEX - 17 CON - 11 WIS - 15 INT - 14 CHA - 9 End Base Attributes: STR - 15 DEX - 27/29 (Dependant on Greater DEX) CON - 11 WIS - 15 INT - 14 CHA - 9 Levels: 1 - Fighter (Weapon Finesse, Able Learner, Luck of Heroes) 2 - Monk 3 - " (Dodge) 4 - Vampire (+1 DEX) 5 - " 6 - " (Mobility) 7 - Shadowdancer 8 - Vampire (+1 DEX) 9 - " (Two Weapon Fighting) 10 - " (Alertness OR Lightning Reflexes, recommend Alertness) 11 - " 12 - " (Improved Two Weapon Fighting, +1 DEX) 13 - " 14 - " 15 - Monk (Toughness) 16 - " (+1 DEX) 17 - " 18 - " (Greater Two Weapon Fighting) 19 - " 20 - " (+1 DEX) 21 - Fighter (Epic Toughness +30, Epic Resilience) 22 - Monk 23 - " (Perfect Two Weapon Fighting) 24 - " (+1 DEX) 25 - Fighter (Whatever you like, recommend more DEX or Epic Deflection or Epic Toughness or Combat Expertise) 26 - " (Whatever you like, recommend Imp crit Kama's (but you have UMD for Keen wand) or Combat Expertise or Epic Toughness) 27 - " (Whatever you like, recommend more DEX or Epic Deflection or Epic Toughness or Combat Expertise) NOTE: If you take Greater DEX on 25th, you'll want to take it on 27th so you end with uneven stats overall. Skills: Tumble 30 (max every level) UMD 13 (max every level) Hide 30 (max every level) Move Silent 30 (max every level) You should have 94 points spare if you stuck with 14 INT, otherwise you end up with a mere 14. If you didn't stick with 14 INT as well, skill point distribution starts getting awkward, but shouldn't be an issue if you know how to do it. Otherwise, I can note that down here ![]() Gave you 14 INT because I personally like loads of skill points, potential to get combat expertise and some extra languages. If you don't care about it, drop it to 9 and put the points into Wisdom for 17 total, or CON for 15 total. You end up with HiPS, PTFW with Kama's of course, Greater Flurry of Blows (Only need 11 monk for TWF builds), more hit points than a regular monk, Epic Resilience for not rolling 1's, possibly Improved Combat Expertise for more AC, 5th attack due to having fighter levels boosting your AB up. Build is reliant on getting a good pair of purple Kama's I reckon. Friction is good for the early levels, Flash for the later levels. Holy Sword wand recommended for extra cheese breaking the meaty DR of evil creatures in the Abyss. If you would like to get SR on your monk, take 2 more monk instead of fighter in the last 3 levels of the build, however I don't think there's much need for it. I hope this helps! If anything doesn't work for some reason, tell us and I'll try fix it If you need any more info or just thinking "why on earth would you do that?" then please post away!

Some things need addressing on last build. It is good. My suggestion grabbing blind fight which this build seems to lack. And early as its use from brux on proves almost undispencable. While a good builder myself I like to see other aspects so throw in my main. Halfling cleric golem master gate crasher. Thrown weapons primary. |

If going demonoligist golem master. Then youll only want 3 demonologist for the +2hd to summons. Both golem and bound fiend use the same henchman slot so can only use one or the other. |

It generally would denote repeat. So, for example, 3 - " (Dodge) means "At level 3, take Monk level 2 and grab Dodge". Make sense? |

Here's one I haven't got around to finalizing. I want to rebuild this to current race/prc standards, while maintaining the same character playstyle, which is very selective. Myconid. Melee. With full plant PRC. NO monk, no Fighter, no warlock/wiz/sorc/ss/fs and not a full-fledged psionic, if at all. Possibly, but not necessarily some cleric (see below). And not a shifter. Fit in EDM, if appropriate -it needs to make sense with the rest of the build (in terms of character development). Currently thinking 6 plant/10 slayer of domiel/11 rogue/2 cleric but not committed to that specific combo or build. I'm open to ideas and always willing to try unorthodox combos, if someone can see something different and reasonably effective that fits within these build restrictions. |

<insert appropriate cry to a deity here> You lot can sure build up a thread in a few hours. I'll try get through all of this tomorrow, probably going to take me a good few hours though As for the last build...
You're not wrong, Blindfight is very useful in the early levels, but I tend to think more toward end game. And Blindsight can be achieved via a scroll bought from Minerva, or ignored at later levels as access to seeing the invisible is quite common. If you mean for the actual feat Blindfight, it's certainly something to think about. Could probably swap out Luck of Heroes for it, but that +1 AC and saves is just so good. |

Unless you have a very particular Blind Fight hat, if you intend to hit things, I would always recommend taking Blind Fight. Alternatively, you can use Invisibility Purge for the Painbringer's Greater Invisibility concealment, but that's a silly thing to rely on when there's many other sources of concealment on Sigil. As an example, if you're using ranged attacks, you will have to deal with entirely undispellable (Unless you're a Cleric! They got a nice buff in this regard recently) concealment from shields. : x |
