Blindsight is a spell that gives you See Invisibility, but not rerolls versus concealment. http://nwn2.wikia.com/wiki/Blindsight Blind Fight is a pretty mandatory feat tax that lets you reroll versus concealment among other things. http://nwn2.wikia.com/wiki/Blind_Fight |

Unaware of that, guess you do learn something new every day ![]() Anyway, I think the first build could just swap our Luck of Heroes for Blind Fight. Wouldn't be a huge modification and re-rolling attacks on concealment against 1 AC and Saves is fair enough. In a moment, I shall be posting up the rest of the builds in the following order... TheShadowWithen's Yuan-ti Halfblood scaled Hunter, no cleric cheese, archer based. Plaxy100's Halfling Cleric Golem Master Gatecrasher with throwing stuff. My my. rapsam2003's Drow Wizard, light on the cheese. Craft Wondrous Items, Skill Focus (Craft Armor), Epic Mage Armor. Demonologist as the main PrC. edmaster44's Drow Shadow Dragon bard, maximum charisma. Gazoo's Myconid Melee warrior with plant (duh). EDM if possible, looking at slayer... A tricky request. Puck's friend, Halfling Half Celestial archer. Builds incoming... |

Snakeface Bardic Scaled Archer Race: Yuan-ti Halfblood Alignment: Any Deity: Any Background: Whatever, recommended Devout for Will saves Starting Base Attributes: STR - 15 DEX - 18 CON - 14 INT - 16 WIS - 10 CHA - 9 End Base Attributes: STR - 17 DEX - 25 CON - 15 INT - 16 WIS - 10 CHA - 9 Levels: 1 - Bard (Able Learner) 2 - Scaled Hunter 3 - " (Point Blank Shot) 4 - " (+1 DEX) 5 - Bard 6 - Fighter (Rapid Shot, Toughness) 7 - " (Weapon Focus Longbow) 8 - " (+1 DEX) 9 - Arcane Archer (Many Shot) 10 - " 11 - " 12 - " (Improved Rapid Shot, +1 DEX) 13 - " 14 - " 15 - " (Improved Critical Longbow) 16 - " (+1 DEX) 17 - " 18 - " (Blind Fight) 19 - Fighter (Weapon Specialisation Longbow) 20 - " 21 - " (Epic Toughness +30, Epic Resilience) 22 - " 23 - " (Greater Weapon Focus Longbow, Great Dexterity +1) 24 - " (+1 DEX) 25 - " (Epic Weapon Focus Longbow, Steadfast Determination (but you can just take whatever here really, except great dexterity as you won't end on an uneven number)) 26 - " 27 - " (Greater Weapon Specialisation Longbow, Epic Weapon Specialisation Longbow) Skills: Survival 2 (Get on first level) Tumble 30 (max every level) UMD 13 (max every level) Listen 30 (max every level) Spot 30 (max every level) You should have 83 points spare to put in whatever you like. 16 INT because Yuan-ti get bonus INT and didn't really see the need to put it into anything else, would recommend 14/12 if you don't care about skill points. Should still be able to max all the good skills. You end up with 25 AB, the magic number for 6th attack a round. Bard dip for skills, Arcane Archer (which is now stacking on SCoD as far as I'm aware), so nice AB and damage from that. +5 STR item should get you a +6 mighty bow for even more damage, as well as some carry weight. Epic resilience and lots of hit points, always nice not to die on 1's. Get all the epic specialisations and focuses, so you shouldn't be missing anything on the server. Blind Fight, and improved crit for extra archery-ness. Would recommend either getting a purple with +6 mighty (the longbow of Gnomish Doom is surprisingly good on its own), or a custom made Duskwood bow. Obviously this build is more focused on just being an archer, with Scaled Hunter chucked in because It's not anything near to a traditional wilderness style ranger, although I could make it such. Frankly the class is underwhelming, though I could see it working on a melee based Barbarian build... I suppose the extra +1 stacking nat armour is nice.

Gatecrashing Halfling Golem Lord with darts Race: Strongheart Halfling Alignment: Any Non-Lawful Deity: Any Background: Whatever, recommended Troublemaker for Reflex saves Starting Base Attributes: STR - 8 DEX - 17 CON - 11 INT - 16 WIS - 15 CHA - 9 End Base Attributes: STR - 8 DEX - 25 CON - 11 INT - 16 WIS - 15 CHA - 9 Levels: 1 - Cleric (Earth and Luck domain, Able Learner, Great Fortitude) 2 - " 3 - " (Weapon Focus Dart) 4 - " (+1 DEX) 5 - " 6 - Stormlord (Stormlord Spellcaster Cleric, Point Blank Shot) 7 - " 8 - " (+1 DEX) 9 - " (Rapid Shot) 10 - " 11 - " 12 - " (+1 DEX, Many Shot) 13 - " 14 - " 15 - " (Improved Rapid Shot) 16 - Gatecrasher (+1 DEX) 17 - " 18 - " (Craft Construct) 19 - " 20 - " (+1 DEX) 21 - Golem Master (Epic Toughness +30) 22 - " 23 - " (Epic Resilience) 24 - " (+1 DEX) 25 - " (Extend Spell) 26 - " 27 - " (Persistent Spell) 28 - " (+1 DEX) 29 - " (Great Dexterity +1) 30 - " Skills: Craft Alchemy (10 as soon as possible, then level up AFTER other skills) Craft Armour (5 as soon as possible, then level up AFTER other skills) Lore (10 as soon as possible, then level up AFTER other skills) Open Lock (8 as soon as possible, then level up AFTER other skills) Search (level 2 get 2 points, then level up as much as possible) UMD (13 max as much as possible) NOTE: Save skill points where possible to make sure you get enough in the right places, the high INT and able learner is simply necessary in this build so you might be able to get enough craft alchemy, arms and armour eventually to get top HD golems. This build was difficult, to say the least. The sheer amount of skill points needed necessitates the high Intelligence, but remaining an effective throwing weapon combatant requires Stormlord. Therefore, I put off taking Golem Master until epic levels, and whilst it may mean spellcaster doesn't hit 9th circle for some time, this is really the only way to do it. You could take Golem Master before Gatecrasher, and swap out Improved Rapid Shot for Craft Construct, and take Improved Rapid Shot at 18th... Which might actually work out better. In any case, it ends up with tons of DEX, skills and epic resilience (see a theme yet guys? :P), Extend and Persistent come later, but are still gained as is only right and proper of a cleric. All the ranged feats for maximum throwing stuff at people, as well as Stormlord for some extra damage. Luck of Heroes for extra goodness from domains. This build is probably reliant on rebuild exp and gear, it will be difficult, but I imagine you already knew this when you first made the class. I'd be interested to see what you did first time round and what sort of feats and stats you took for it It's certainly one of the more tricky ones.

Wondrous Fiendish Drow Craft-jurer with less cheese Race: Drow Alignment: Any Evil Deity: Any Background: Whatever, recommended Veteran for Fortitude saves Starting Base Attributes: STR - 11 DEX - 13 CON - 11 INT - 17 WIS - 15 CHA - 15 End Base Attributes: STR - 11 DEX - 13 CON - 11 INT - 21 WIS - 17 CHA - 17 Levels: 1 - Wizard (Conjuration School, Beetle, Able Learner) 2 - " 3 - " (Spell Focus Conjuration) 4 - " (+1 INT) 5 - " (Craft Wondrous) 6 - " (Augment Summoning) 7 - Demonologist (Demonologist Spellcasting Wizard) 8 - " (+1 INT) 9 - " (Skill Focus Craft Armour) 10 - " 11 - " 12 - " (+1 INT, Greater Spell Focus Conjuration) 13 - " 14 - " 15 - " (Practiced Spellcaster Wizard) 16 - " (+1 WIS) 17 - Wizard 18 - " (Extend Spell) 19 - " 20 - " (+1 WIS, Spell Penetration) 21 - " (Epic Spell Focus Conjuration) 22 - " 23 - " (Great Intelligence +1) 24 - " (+1 CHA) 25 - " (Greater Spell Penetration, Epic Spell Penetration) 26 - " 27 - " (Epic Mage Armour) 28 - " (+1 CHA) Skills: Tumble 10 (max as soon as possible) UMD 13 (max as soon as possible) Lore 8 (max as soon as possible) Tons of skillpoints left, put those where ever you fancy ![]() For this build, I took a far less cheese approach, as requested. As such, it's got a lot more RP factors to it like a lot less min-max, good mental stats across the board (as wizards should have) and spell school focus Conjuration. Obviously you can take generalist or a different focus, but it makes less sense... Even if Conjuration stops you getting any See Invisibility until True Sight comes along. Also, Transmutation has good buffs, which you won't be able to use on your summons... However! Conjuration focused all the way means your Greater Planar Binding will have 40+ DC will save vs Paralysis. And you could get this even higher if you decided to min-max INT, but it should be ludicrous enough as is. That choice is yours. Other than that, the build is a fairly regular wizard, no real PRC cheese or base class dips, though I would potentially recommend Rogue at level one so Able Learner can real get work done, if you don't and don't really see the need for Able Learner, take Daylight Adaptation for RP or just grab Luck of Heroes. Definitely reliant on summons. I would thoroughly recommend getting a crafter to make you a staff of summon creature 5, 6, and 7 for the early levels. It'll make it a breeze, as well being RP appropriate. Simply play like a cleric, buff your summons and let them go blitz stuff for you as you sip tea and bask in exp. Might suffer from lack of invisibility, but wands should fix that. |

Half-Drowgon Bard with big (s)tats. ![]() Race: Drow Alignment: Any Non-Lawful Deity: Any Background: Whatever, recommended Talent for 30 Perform at 26 Starting Base Attributes: STR - 9 DEX - 17 CON - 9 INT - 13 WIS - 9 CHA - 20 End Base Attributes: STR - 17 DEX - 17 CON - 11 INT - 14 WIS - 9 CHA - 29 Levels: 1 - Bard (Able Learner) 2 - Half-Dragon 3 - " (Practiced Spellcaster Bard) 4 - " (+1 CHA) 5 - " 6 - " (Extend Spell) 7 - " 8 - " (+1 CHA) 9 - " (Combat Expertise OR Power Attack) 10 - " 11 - " 12 - Bard (+1 CHA, Improved Combat Expertise OR Improved Power Attack) 13 - " 14 - " 15 - " (Curse Song) 16 - " (+1 CHA) 17 - " 18 - " (Blind Fight) 19 - " 20 - " (+1 CHA) 21 - " (Great Charisma +1) 22 - " 23 - " (Great Charisma +2) 24 - " (+1 CHA) 25 - " (Chorus of Heroism) 26 - Fighter/Cleric Skills: Literally whatever you like, would recommend 20 Tumble as you can't quite get 30 Max Perform though, for Barding. Now, either you go Combat Expertise and go for slightly more tank... Even though your AC will never generally get that good (Free mirror image on Shadow Half Dragon though), or Power Attack so you can actually do some damage. Would personally recommend Combat Expertise and just sit around with buffs and curse song everything. However, if you can find a High BAB character to party with, power attack + song of heroism (not available till end buildl though), will make for a hard hitting Bard. Since level 26 is a useless level to you, I'd recommend taking a level of fighter or cleric, Fighter gives you a feat where you can't do much save Improved Critical or some such, though you can then use Tower Shields. Cleric gives you Domain dip which is nice. Thoroughly a support character, the bonus strength is nice and you get an Arcane Archer chain shirt for AC, but you're better off standing around a mob tanking with Mirror Image and Greater Invisibility using Bard abilities and spells. Dat Charisma, tho. |

Myconid Sneakadin of Domiel. Race: Myconid Alignment: Lawful Good Deity: Any Background: Sacred Vow Starting Base Attributes: STR - 16 DEX - 9 CON - 14 INT - 14 WIS - 11 CHA - 17 End Base Attributes: STR - 23 DEX - 9 CON - 17 INT - 14 WIS - 11 CHA - 21 Levels: 1 - Rogue (Able Learner) 2 - " 3 - Paladin (Power Attack OR Combat Expertise) 4 - Plant (+1 CHA) 5 - " 6 - " (Toughness) 7 - " 8 - " (+1 CHA) 9 - " (Blind Fight) 10 - Slayer of Domiel 11 - " 12 - " (+1 CHA, Improved Power Attack OR Improved Combat Expertise) 13 - " 14 - " 15 - " (Practiced Spellcaster Paladin) 16 - " (+1 CHA) 17 - " 18 - " (Improved Critical Unarmed? I think it works with creature weapons) 19 - " 20 - Paladin (+1 STR) 21 - " (Epic Toughness +30) 22 - Rogue 23 - Paladin (Divine Might) 24 - Rogue (+1 STR) 25 - " (Epic Divine Might) 26 - " 27 - " (Should be able to take Divine Shield, can't be sure with Obsidifail's weird Paladin qualification system) 28 - " (+1 STR) 29 - " (Epic Resilience) Skills: Hide 32 (max when possible) Move Silent 32 (max when possible) Spellcraft 4 (max as soon as possible) UMD 13 (max when possible) Tumble 30 (max when possible) Should have plenty of skill points left over to put in whatever you like. So! This was a hard one to weigh up what classes to qualify with, considering your specifications. Myconid's no manual dexterity makes it awkward as well, but hey ho. I settled on Rogue/Paladin, and weaved the levels appropriately so you won't get an exp penalty until level... 25ish. EDM comes rather late I know, but it's the best way to keep the exp penalty off your back and still get all the other goodies. Ends up with EDM, HiPS (I know the DEX is min and you'll want Fullplate with this build, but with enough Hide and MS... Anyone can disappear right? :P) Recommend getting some skill boosts from a crafter for this. Would recommend Combat Expertise over Power Attack, as fists generally suck with power attack, but if you prefer hitting hard then you could get it. Epic Resilience is great, tons of skills, decent enough Paladin spellbook, but emphasis on rogue since rogue is just better since sneak dice and general abilities. I know Divine Grace doesn't stack, but since you don't take 2nd Paladin until 20, you basically end up with an Assassin with Divine Grace, which is all well and good. I reckon, as you first suggested, Cleric would be better. But since you didn't sound too keen on it, I've gone with Paladin to see how you like it Cleric would be as simple as dipping the 1 level at 2nd level. No need for anything past that, just take more rogue!

Half(ling)-Celestial Archer of Shoot stuff with arrers. Race: Strongheart Halfling Alignment: Any Good Deity: Any Background: Sacred Vow Starting Base Attributes: STR - 15 DEX - 17 CON - 11 INT - 14 WIS - 9 CHA - 9 End Base Attributes: STR - 17 DEX - 27 CON - 15 INT - 16 WIS - 13 CHA - 9 Levels: 1 - Rogue (Able Learner, Luck of Heroes) 2 - Half-Outsider 3 - " (Point Blank Shot) 4 - " (+1 DEX) 5 - " 6 - " (Rapid Shot) 7 - " 8 - Rogue 9 - Fighter (Many Shot, Improved Rapid Shot) 10 - " (Weapon Focus Shortbow) 11 - " 12 - " (+1 DEX, Weapon Specialisation Shortbow, Blind Fight) 13 - " 14 - " (Improved Critical Shortbow) 15 - " (Combat Expertise) 16 - " (+1 DEX, Greater Weapon Focus Shortbow) 17 - " 18 - " (Improved Combat Expertise, Toughness) 19 - " 20 - " (+1 DEX, Greater Weapon Specialisation Shortbow) 21 - Divine Champion (Epic Toughness +30) 22 - " (Epic Weapon Focus Shortbow) 23 - " (Epic Resilience) 24 - " (Epic Weapon Specialisation Shortbow) 25 - " (Great Dexterity +1) 26 - " (Epic Prowess, I suppose) 27 - " (Great Dexterity +1) Skills: UMD 13 (max as much as possible) Tumble 30 (max as much as possible) Lots of skill points left over, do what you like with them ![]() Right then! Problem with Halfling, they can't really qualify for EDM, not even with Half Outsider buffs Maybe with fiend... Maybe, but not Celestial. So I went with 12 Fighter Divine Champion, which is well known for general high AB archers. Nice stats from Half Outsider, not that all of them are so useful for an archer, but you'll end up with +6 mighty bow and CON falling out of your ears. Obligatory rogue dip on Halfling because too good. Evasion is lovely jubbly and skills are nice to have. Epic resilience again, nice to have around in case you roll a 1. Took Epic Prowess because more feats than what are useful, so may as well have some more attack bonus. Basically, press tab + manyshot. Enjoy killing the Abyss. You even get a free tank with your spell-like ability Summon Creature VIII. Could have went with Ranger but Fighter archers are just better. Higher AB and Damage than their ranger counterpart, the only minus is they don't get HiPS outside, tracking and favoured enemy Outsider, but you should be knocking your opponents down quick enough that it won't be necessary. Recommend getting Craft Weapon, actually, as you can make your own Master Fletched Arrows in game, which are broken strong. |
