So Since Berk's thread seems dead for a while and I've already started wanting to play her and stuff wold like to see if some of you others can help. so what i need are these:

Race: Human
Classes: Blackguard 10/Death Knight 10 (want to try out EDM)
Weapon: Scimitar (Kopesh model) w/ Tower Shield

Everything else can be done with anything,
Would like a leveling/Feat guide so i know what to take when

Take EDM. Take Divine Shield. Max CHA.

Then you can pick anything at all and you'll still be good.

If you want the most optimal choices.... Fighter is good. Bard is good. You can put Gatecrasher in there and not feel bad. Divine Champion. Probably others.

Blackguard needs BAB of +6 and +5 Hide so not really room to take another PrC, Since the BG and DK levels combined take up 23 points of ECL. But I'm bad at setting the point Spread, and picking feats/Classes at the right points or even knowing what feats to take hence this request. Thank you

I'd suggest some Craft Alchemy skill aiming for 25 skill (with items/spells), if you wish to indulge in some poison gameplay.

I've been fooling around with poisons to see how they fare, mechanically. 10 rounds is quite a bit of time (for lots of attacks). Unlike vanilla, ScoD poisons do stack with any weapon, regardless of enchantments. I never tested a pure bludgeon wpn, though.

I mention this here, because ScoD duration = 10 + 3x BG/Ass level (according to wiki). At level 10 BG, that's 40 rounds, which is long.

Most of the smaller ones only produce results on a save of 1, but the 25 alc skill poison does have 10d10 no-save fire...which has some end-game applicability. Craft 10 for 5k or buy for 10k.

Consider that most of the epic/crafted weapon "on-hit" effects also need failures of 1s to have an effect, end-game.

It can be fun to throw something extra on there. Obviously some mobs are immune, but not all of them.

7 Fighter Max Hide. is plenty to qualify for both DeathKnight and Blackguard full levels. theres also splitting levels say 3 rogue 4 fighter, with Adept Learner to have a better skill base, 6 ranger also fits the bill. Its a tight fit but can be done. now something to realize the only benifet to going deep in blackguard is for extra Sneak dice which your char will rarely see unless in a party, and longer Poison Duration, by the time the Create Undead amounts to anything it won't be strong enough to deal with where you'll want to hunt. it will be fine of course in lesser areas like Limbo and Baator if your just farming around for paticular items... its dead meat in Celestia do to turning and smites and not strong enough to really be a factor in Grand Abyss and Carceri.

You'd be better off fitting it with say 4 Blackguard for the EDM and Divine shield making room for 5 levels of FB to put even more umph behind a two-handed weapon . Or with 6 ranger and get a good bow for some powerful EDM bow shots.

A possible build

Start with 17 STR, 18 CHA. Put all your level up points into CHA.

Take bard at level 1, along with Luck of Heroes and Power Attack.

Then take Fighter for your 5 next level, with Cleave in there somewhere and Able Learner at level 3.

Take 3 levels of Blackguard, making sure to pick up Divine Might at level 9.

Take levels 10 and 11 as Death Knight, then level 12 as Blackguard to get Divine Shield.

Take the rest of your Death Knight levels, making sure to get EDM at level 23 when you qualify for it.

Takes your last 6 levels of Blackguard and finish off with 1 level of fighter at the end.
Scripter.

Well as to poisons I know they don't work on all weapons because it wont work on my Assassin Dragons Creature weapons v.v Wanted to RP it as having a False Tooth with Venom in it lol nor do i understand the whole crafting thing personally >_<

As for the Undead summons beaing any good, I made her already just making it up as i go, just to build XP pool to try that (never actually remade a character before) and as a Fighter/BG so far the Skeleton alongside the Fiend she can summon actually fair quite well in Celestia, as for Carceri i will never go there again as I hate the frustration of the map itself even more than the spawns so a non-issue.

Also using a Scimitar and Tower Shield not a Two Handed Weapon or Bow (beside finding one for backup if range is absolutely needed)

I'm curious about the 1bard/6Fighter vs the 3Rogue/4Fighter ideas so far.
I like getting evasion and a few more sneak attacks but is it worth sacrificing
the +1ab/dmg from Inspire courage and an extra feat?

Also as far as being in a group My wife will be playing one... or is Playing one right now with me, So two slightly different builds could actually work well if they complement each other. (but yes still with the same restrictions i made before)

Oh and for the above build. Wouldn't putting everything into CHA cause me to lose out on a bunch of AB or should I still be able to get plenty with that build?

Well Shadow, to answer your question about the build Mick posted "if" you went with a all 27 lvls using a class of a high BAB you'll get a BAB of 27 with the added STR its a total of +33 in Melee.
Now your Tower shield will probably reduce your AB if I remember correctly so keep that in mind.
Also keep in mind there are some changes to Cleric being made, and I'm unsure of those changes and what they are so I would hold off on EDM for now unless some one can tell us what those changes that are being made are.

As for poisons it can only be applied to piercing or slashing weapons, so your Scimitar can have poison applied to it.

and for the 1bard/6Fighter vs the 3Rogue/4Fighter ideas, the Sneak Attacks (as far as I'm aware of) late game wont do all that well in some areas. IMO +6d6 Sneak attack inst worth it, but that's just me. So I would say the 1bard/6Fighter is more viable

I think I touched all your questions with my options.. if not let me know =p

EDIT: Just did the math, depending on your play style 1bard/6Fighter will have the same bounus to hit roughly outcome as 7Fighter (if using inspire courage all the time), and taking 1Cleric/6Fighter will gave you some extra feats of course from domains but will drop your BAB down by one. depending on what your needed or wanting I personally would be the outcome of said class dip. Also another idea depending on your current Ability stats 1Barbarian/6Fighter could help DPS wise with its Rage ability that its duration operates on you constitution modifier. So IMO once again, its all dependent of your play style.
