hide your trinkets is charming but I'm a believer in display name = name characters know something by in game. If you use an alias, use it as your display name @.@ easier for everyone.

Benefits to changing it: When some one refers to Bob as Bob new players know what they are talking about. People who have dictated Bob's name to be Bob get the warm fuzzies. Gives him a tag that is role-playable instead of hide your trinkets.

Cons: Gimmicky to some older players.

To me i don't see any other issues with the change.

People call him Bob because it is a slang term for stealing. His 'nickname' is literally being called a thief.

If Bob is Bob because of bobbing, shouldn't he be the "Bobber"? Because we could totally change his name to "The Bobber"

I somehow suspect it has more to do with people liking to assign the name "Bob" to unnamed npcs. :D

FeelsBadMan that players these days don't refer to Bob as Bob.
He's always been Bob since I first joined the server :(
Karn Scale-Rage = Let's feed the crows!
Van Darkholme = Feel the lash of the spanking! *whip noises*
Noramos Churston = Oh! That wasn't supposed to happen...
Shrub Conifer = Nature... Will rise against you!

Me alts got wiped so I'm making a new string of nut jobs. Enjoy!

If ever somebody needs help levelling, I always have a character in range... or delevellable.

Interesting concept. I always thought he was Bob because it rhymes with Blob. Funny thing being, when he was introduced it just sort of happened: it seems one day people were talking about "Trinkets" or the "Area Cleaner", and the next everyone called him Bob.

That slime blob from the animated 'Monsters vs. Aliens' movie is also called Bob.
Still think a name like would feel out of place in a fantasy setting.

His actual name is Triskediturian, Eater of Worlds.

Which translates into English as "Bob".

Hide-Your-Trinkets-It-Is-Coming, also known as 'series of guttural slurping noises', will not and should not have to conform to some humanoid standard of what a 'real name' is.
