Who should I contact for Faction-specific stuff when I know my Faction DM got super busy? For instance, I know Slimy Doom just graduated from university a while back. (Congrats, man!) And I'm sure he's super busy as a result. What do?...

I'm inclined to say make contact anyway, and try to come to an arrangement that would suit whatever constraints may be in place. Speaking on a personal note here; none know a DMs schedule better than themselves, and it saves a lot of messy assumptions in regards to availability. A direct approach is the most streamline course of action, as going through another member of staff only creates a middle man and lengthens the process - especially if another member of staff was to pick up a faction's plot, the original faction DM usually has to sign off/be made aware of the activities regardless.

Just be prepared to be a little patient if you don't get a response right away. DMs, like people(!), also tend to have busy lives outside of server volunteer. If time passes and you've not gotten (at least) an 'I'll get back to you' after three-strikes, then your best bet would be contacting DM Daggerknight (the king of nagging ♥ the campaign coordinator) or one of the admin who can provide either a nudge to that DM or an alternative.

Well, ok. Let me ask this. If one wanted to do a little forum RP (and maybe extend it in-game later, if needed) regarding their faction, is the respective faction chant thread a good place for that?

It depends on what you want to RP? Faction chant threads are a good place to, well, put chant.

If you want to start a little story, then I think it might be clearer to start a new thread.
Do not hesitate to send me a PM if you:
- Have questions about building, or joining the Dev Team
- Want to join or start an event for the Mercykillers, Fated, or Signers
- You have been waiting more than 2 days for me to post in an IC forum thread
