Today a rumor was spread around several servers discords and possibly other venues as well, about how a server which has not been attacked by DDoS, Haven, has been behind DDoS attacks on other servers. The rumors are untrue, there has been no real evidence that Haven or its staff has ever done such a thing. SCoD hasn't been affected by DDoS for almost 3 years now (Downtimes and issues we've faced have been completely separate issues instead), though there has been very few attempts, so they are no less benefiting from this than we are. And all of my discussions with their staff members have been only positive, as they've been providing high quality technical support to numerous servers, and issues, fairly openly in the admin chat group that we have going. I could go on, since there are a lot of reasons why all of this is highly implausible, but so far I don't think it has seemed credible enough for many others either, rather it seems to be two front issue so I'll go to the next paragraph instead.

I did follow through these rumors a little further, and it'd seem that the rumors most likely originate from a person whom, I heard, was recently banned from Skullport. So I'd rather not desire any ill will toward the Skullport server as an entity either, as much as a lone individual whom didn't get their way this time.

Anyhow, that's all! It doesn't really affect SCoD eitherway, but I'd rather dissolve any unnecessary rumor mill that might hurt the NWN2 community, and show a little solidarity to fellow servers.
