As per the title. My Clockwork Horror Golem just got reduced to dust, setting me back 4500 gold, 450 XP and a diamond, apparently because there's is no way to unsummon the thing. Either that, or I'm totally oblivious to it. Even resting (which gives the golem tool back its 1 use / day) does not help. It's just not unsummonable, which is pretty bad. Also, really ? That much of an investment for a creature that does 1D8+1 damage ? Any insight into golems would be nice at this point. |

Heya! This is the first I've heard of a construct that couldn't be despawned so thoroughly. Normally constructs are a bit weird to work with and despawn since there isn't an item or ability that you can use that has the dedicated and specific purpose of despawning them. That said, the main way to remove them is to simply use a control device (any will do) and target the construct with it. Another way is to just spawn more things. Technically just activating a different construct or any creature that will fill the Henchman slot will remove them. If you have levels of Golem Master using the Animate Gargoyle ability will despawn any currently active construct and replace it with a gargoyle (which can be despawned with any control device you have in your inventory). If you have a Racial or PrC based Henchman then summoning them will despawn your construct. If you purchase a Henchman from the Night Market or other source you can use the summoning item to despawn your construct as well. |

Thanks for the quick reply ! I didn't have anything else to summon into the henchmen slot, so alas. But I'll try how it works out with the other golems, once my Golemmaster come up with the resources to craft one. |

Right, so the Guardgoyle (which isn't even a crafted golem but the free henchman) cannot be unsummoned either. Re-using the feat does not work, it even bugs the 'goyle in the party menu list by duplicating him. And there's no unsummon option with the NPC control wand either. I guess I'll withhold from crafting more 10k+ gold cost constructs for now. |

More golem stuff: 1.) Stone Golems apparently can't be crafted. You'll only get an error ('Debug') message, saying you'd lack the necessary amount of gold, even if you don't. 2.) Not sure if the bonus HD from Golem Crafter are figured into your constructs at all. Either those are missing, or the extra HD for skill ranks are. My golem mistress never gets the total bonus HD I calculated. |
