Schooled in the pool halls and card rooms of Toronto, Daniel Negreanu is a phenomenal poker player with a live tournament poker record to match. He’s experienced everything that a professional poker career can offer, seen the game explode and go global, and won more money than most people can ever dream of. His profile in the poker world is second to none, and  Poker Stars is proud to have him as a member of Team PokerStars Pro.

He has one of the best World Series records of any player, and he has won more money than anyone else on the World Poker Tour. His World Series achievements began in 1998 when he became the youngest person at the time ever to win a coveted gold bracelet at just 23, taking down the $2,000 Pot Limit Hold’em tournament for $169,460. He followed that with a second place in 2002, before his second bracelet win in 2003, when he won the SHOE event, taking $100,440 for the win. He also finished second in the $3,000 No Limit Hold’em that year. The following year was a big one for Daniel. He kicked things off with a WPT Final Table appearance before he won another WSOP bracelet, this time in Limit Hold’em for $169,100. Next came two huge wins on the World Poker Tour. First he won the Borgata Open for $1,117,400, and then the Five Diamond World Classic for another $1,770,218. Those two wins on a high profile and televised tour cemented Daniel at the very top of the game, and he hasn’t looked back since, adding further World Series bracelets, tournament wins and final table appearances along the way. In 2009 he cashed more than any other player at the World Series, finishing in the money on eight occasions. After a runner-up finish at the WSOPE* Main Event, he also became the highest earning tournament player of all time.

Daniel has strong views on poker and is often consulted on the big issues by poker’s administrators. He works tirelessly to promote the game around the world and always has time for his legions of fans. He also writes Daniel Negreanu poker strategy books, mentors other players and appears in the poker media as a commentator and summarizer. With so much on the go at any one time, he doesn’t have much time to relax away from poker, but when he does he likes to work at his golf game as well as shoot pool and play video games. He plays online poker only at PokerStars and you can find him at the tables using the screen name 'KidPoker'.

One of the best poker players of all times. I love watching him play and his calls are ridiculous sometimes.
