Ghost Hunters is a live one hour TV series based off two Ghost Hunters, Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson, who are plumbers by day and ghost hunters at night. Their organization is called The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), and the letters TAP have come readily recognized universally as their logo. I remember when the first show aired and there would be scenes of them at work fixing plumbing in various areas and they would receive a call about a possible haunted location that needed their help. It wasn't as campy as it could have been, and, if you enjoyed their pursuits, you grew to like them for their natural and sincere enthusiasm for what they did.

But they've come a long way from those first years and now have better vans, equipment, following and fame beyond what I think even they thought would follow them. Plus, when you are featured in a commercial, I say you are pretty well known and trusted to be believed when hawking a product. lol

They have had many individuals from all walks of life join them as hunters and accompany them to assist in the investigations, set up the equipment and going over the evidence to see if they have caught any paranormal activity. Here is a list of various members of the team:

Current investigators (season 7)

Jason Hawes – Lead Investigator/Producer/TAPS Founder
Grant Wilson – Lead Investigator/Producer/TAPS Co-founder
Steve Gonsalves – Investigator/Technical Manager
Dave Tango – Investigator
Amy Bruni – Investigator
Adam Berry – Investigator-in-Training (from GHA)
Maddie – Investigative Canine

Former investigators

Kris Williams – Investigator/Case Manager (moved to GHI)
Krystin Allen – Field Researcher
Andy Andrews – Investigator (TAPS/GHI)
Brian Bell – Communications manager
Joe Chin – Investigator (TAPS/GHI)
Mike Dion – Investigator
Paula Donovan – R&D Manager/Investigator
Lisa Dowaliby – Investigator
Heather Drolet – Investigator
Kristyn Gartland – Investigator/Case Manager
Brian Harnois – Tech Manager/Investigator (TAPS/GHI)
Keith E. Johnson – Demonologist/Investigator
Carl L. Johnson – Demonologist/Investigator
Donna La Croix – Case Manager/Investigator (TAPS/GHI)
Dustin Pari – Investigator (TAPS/GHI)
Jen Rossi – Investigator
Sherry Toczko – Investigator

They have also had various Celebrity investigators who join them from time to time. They have been:

Josh Gates – Investigator from Destination Truth
CM Punk – 2006 Halloween Special
Elijah Burke – 2007 Halloween Special
Colin Ferguson – 2008 "USS Hornet" investigation
Amanda Tapping – 2008 Halloween Special
Steve Valentine – 2008 Halloween Special
The Miz – 2008 Halloween Special
Meat Loaf – 2009 "A Bat Out of Hell" and 2010 "Sloss Furnaces" investigations
Eddie McClintock – 2009 "Ghost of Buffalo Bill" investigation
Ben Hansen – 2010 Halloween Special
Kofi Kingston – 2010 Halloween Special
Joe Maddalena – 2010 Halloween Special
Meaghan Rath – 2010 Halloween Special
Allison Scagliotti – 2010 Halloween Special
Nene Leakes, Shereι Whitfield and Kim Zolciak – 2010 episode: "TAPS Meets The Real Housewives of Atlanta"
Meredith Vieira – 2011 "Murdered Matron" investigation

I've often enjoyed the celebrities, especially those that get so spooked they jump, just as I often think I would do in the same instances.
