real sweet looking jeep. i like that everyone has taken a slightly different approach to making a chassis for this body. allows lots of builders to show thier style. great work.

as for pimping your stuff, we dont really have a vendor spot yet, but you could be the first. :nice:

Thank you sir :nice: Sometimes I can't seem to find the right "Legos".....so I just make my own. haha.... :nice: I must totally agree with you about everyone taking a different approach. It's great to see all the different styles people have. I'm TOTALLY hooked on Jeeps now!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!! :yiaks:

On with the updates.....

I had a chance to braize the body mounts and suspension tabs onto the frame. I'm not going to win any awards for the haggered old braize job I did but hopefully a nice thick coat of undercoating will hide the damage. I also trimmed about a half an inch off the front of the frame rails to get the front bends centered with the wheel well.

Do you guys have any suggestions for a tranny in this thing? I have limited space. I'm thinking about using a H/L 3 speed laid down up front then going into a W/K transfer case in the middle. :nice:

I think that would be cool! I also just purchased a 3 speed for my jeep as well! I havent figured out what I am going to do yet? But I intend on being pretty touh on this rig so I am opting not to run a transfer case..

I will get those pics posted soon. I ended up going with a R2 disco tranny. (Thank you WarriorSimi) I really hammered the frame trying to cram it in there though. I'll post some pics here soon. :nice:

Okay. Here are some progress pics.

The dig servo isn't mounted to anything yet so it's just kinda hanging there by some fuel tubing. I modified the dig unit a bit by removing the steel key plate that locks the drive shaft. I figured I didn't want to lock the front axel anyways unless I planned to do burn outs. It gives the dig action a bit more room to disconnect. I don't reccomend anyone to do this to their nice R2 Disco trannys though. I had to trim down the small diameter of the 3 standoffs and use shorter screws to put it back together. Okay....one more thing....I read in a thread somewhere that their R2 was binding or locking up. Mine did the same thing but it was no fault of RC4WD's. The tranny is PERFECT but I used screws that were a tad bit too long on the side holes and they bound up the tranny really bad. I used shorter screws and a washer or 2 and now it's smooth as butter. enough jibber jabber and on with some pics. :nice:

(I still have a bunch of finish work to do on the frame still)

I know...I know...the servo should be mounted to the frame but I want the steering to be without "issues" on this build. haha... I may still move it to the frame after I get it all together.

I've been working on this new 1.9 for a while now so I mounted a prototype up on the JK and fell in love with the way it looks on there.

I plan to run it like this for now.....
