WC machine Wrangler build

I had just purchased the Diaz chassis and had just started to build it when i saw this WC machine chassis come up on ebay and since most of the chassis work is done already I snapped this to use instead because I hate to fab metal stuff this saves me a lot of time and heartache. I see they also have it at RPP hobby now too, this is the nicest quality chassis I've ever seen the machineing is perfect and it is so perfectly built. Comes with body mounts for the Wrangler body and places to mount 3r winches, uses High-lift axles or many RC4wd axles but since this is a Tamiya site I'll use axles stolen from my tundra and Hilux leaf springs. It was also designed to use the R2 tranny but I had this transfer case already so I'll do that sort of setup using a small tranny of some sort up front later. This was just the rough mock up to see whats there.

Pricey chassis but you get what you pay for, this is quality built!

YOu are not mistaken C it is a little short but once I mount the shocks and it gets pulled down a bit and then it matches up nice, Its all in the setup of the thing, might vary a bit with the RC4wd axles or TLTs which i still might use not sure yet, no funds to work on this one for a little while but I'll start on the body soon.

i figured some tweaking would fix things. it really does look so scale and awesome.

Like noted above when i actually got this chassis built the wheelbase is off by a full 1/4" which may be due to the axles or to an error in manufacture, i'm guessing an error in manufacture, but it was a simple fix, I just moved the rear shackle back to first hole and drilled one new hole on each side and now it lines up nicely with body and my High-lift axles. I did a little work on the body but I'm lazy so I likely won't do much more. I think this Jeep will be pink when i'm done.

Looks ok but I still like the stance of the XC version much better.

Darn cheapo 3r winch, the hook broke on very first test lol! I think I'll go back to fake winches.

wheelbase is now more accurate

Don't need the body post mounts on this one

Decided to just use the r2 and save on moving parts and cost. Also went with shocks I already had.

Fixed the wheelbase by moving rear shackle back 1/4" and drilling new hole
