I just bought one on ebay. He has it "buy it now or best offer". I tried my best offer and he accepted it. I can not wait for it to arrive so I can start another build. I also won the auction for your(Wyoming) old Diaz chassis and got it for $49.

Thanks guys, You probably bought the Diaz chassis from the guy I sold it too, he sure sold it fast and cheap.

Anyway here is a few shots, I have been busy with some other stuff but an hour here and there on this, I like to use existing parts before making things and this time I ended up using an old battery box from a High-lift for nice quick easy changes, also ground down the tundra axle covers and painted them red to look a little like ARB covers. I am really having fun with this one but I'm not sure what i want it to look like yet.

I like your "use what's already here" philosphy.

The Wrangler's coming along very well.

Yeah, the buy now price for that chassis is $235 CDN and shipping is shipped via UPS at $100. Then there probably would be duties to be paid due to using UPS instead of USPS so add another $40-50+ on top of that. Rpp Hobby would probably be the better option if I ever wanted that chassis..lol.

It is a nice chassis and the build is looking good so far. I like how the R2 sits nice in between the rails. BTW - I would mention the "mod" to the chassis so the fellow might update the current parts in stock to correct them. Looking back on his photos he has on fleabay, moving the wheels further to the rear makes it look correct.

Thanks guys,

I got it up and running for testing, The High-lift shocks were hitting the axles so I bought some shorter 80mm scale shocks and mounted on top axle hole. I also got the RPP outback skid plate and some Axial Scorpion driveshafts and cut them down to fit, The outback plate had to be cut a little to clear shafts with my setup. I also redid the steering and raised the bar a little and lower upper bar so they are close to parallel. Seems to run and climb great around my basement, a little stiff but thats ok since I don't plan to do much serious crawling since this is a scale trail rig for hiking while driving.

Now I need to choose a color, I always kid CXC about pink Jeeps and I'm thinking that might just work on this one
