I've never big huge on overly "weathering" a project. I say, make it start out looking new and "weather" it with use.

Having said that, some projects would just look right with a little weathering. Depending on what you do with the body, your project would look good with an "aged" looking chassis. Obviously, if you have a sparkly looking body, a rusted chassis wouldn't look so hot, but the converse is true also. :nice:

I can paint it flat black,,then add some rust when it gets scratched up.

if you paint it flat black, then lightly ovrerspray with some flat dark orange (i actually used polycarb paint), it will look like old metal.

this is what i did to the wheels and chassis here

Since you've made "Jeep X" you're going to have to look for a Fox Mulder or Dana Sculley driver. :laugh:
