Great forum, this is my first post! :nana:

I started this project for someone else, but they bailed on it so I bought it from them to build myself...

NB body, HEAVILY modified. I hate molded in details, there will be very few when I am finished. I opened up the grill and air vent over the hood, removed the doors, made a hard top. The motor will be under the hood with a disruptor xfer case. Every light will work. Headlights are finished, building LED boxes for the side markers and rear lights.

Chassis is as of yet undecided, likely will be a modded SCX chassis.

My goal with this is a FULL interior and no RC parts visible in pics.

Paint will likely be good old Solar Yellow (to match my 2000 I had before) w/ black trim.

I am having trouble finding a wheel I like, any suggestions for a decent looking factory-ish wheel?

Headlights...

I picked up these lights at Home Depot, $5 for 2, supposed to wear them on your head. They are nasty bright!

Here one is, modded and fitted with the lense from the body.

Shaved off the winsdshield strap deal and installed a more realistic one.

Thanks guys, got some more work done, just need to shoot a few more pics and do an upload.

Lights are almost all done, started on the steel frame tonight. Think it'll be leafs in the rear, linked in the front.

Okay, might be taking it a little far but there is no going back now...

I found the wheel I will use, and narrowed them up real nice, glued on a set of ProLines and they look great.

I installed a Losi mini rig light kit. $25 and just what I needed for the amount of lights I am doing. My headlights are seperate units. All the wiring is being done now, during construction, so I can hide them all as much as possible.

I also made a real hood strap deal, no more molded in details. Fuel filler will get the same treatment. As of this morning, the firewall is now thin sheetmetal and brazed to the chassis, and the Xfer case is mounted as well.
