I had decided to start building a Jurassic Park YJ clone when I saw that the Tamiya YJ body was still available on RPP hobby. I then set out to find information on it and found Karthac's thread. I figured the more Jurassic Park YJ's the better :).

Anyway I ordered some RC Channel Narrow HiLift axles which are very narrow. Probably close to the size of what a dana 35 would be in scale. I am still needed to get some Vinyls made up for the body and the drive train. So far i am finding the tundra leaf springs far too stiff. I used the anthrax frame on this build btw.

I had started the frame using the soft red HiLift springs, but they are far too long.

It is the best khaki match that rustoleum had in a flat finish.

So if you read this far down... I need a light bar for this thing that will hold 4 of the hilux fog lights. The square ones that are mounted on the front bumper. I don't know the tube size they attach to. Does anyone happen to know?

I like this build already...

Watch out for the T-rexs. They have big feet and don't watch where they're going.

Any updates on this?
Did you stick with the tundra springs in the end.

visually it still looks the same. I so far am still using the tundra springs. They are softening up a little bit and becoming more useful. I got it running an took it for a night drive in my driveway. The snow was far too soft to really test it out. It would always just sink into the snow and get stuck. I still have to paint the front bumper black and attach the fake winch. I will being doing that sometime in the near future. i printed out the decals for it and put them on but they are amateur at best. Maybe later I will redo them with white background vinyl paper since the clear isn't opaque when color is applied.
