That wasn’t how my Redemption wrestling debut was supposed to go. First, they hurt my sister’s feelings by not giving us the welcome we deserve. Second, they allowed a national tragedy to happen when I was eliminated from Redemption title contention.

I had everything under control. Everyone was on social media talking about me! That’s nothing new, but I was setting the wrestling world on fire!

It should’ve been a given that I’d beat Ironclad.

Then out of nowhere the match was over and I’d lost. I’m sure everyone watching was surprised. Why wouldn’t they be? I assure you no one was more surprised than I was.

I should be moving on, one step closer to being Redemption champion.

Instead I’ve been relegated to a chance to earn a shot at the Classic championship. Second best. All because I was cheated. I watched the footage and I was attacked with a pair of brass knuckles.

I was robbed. Why do lesser men always want to take from us more fortunate?

I should’ve expected nothing less from a common thug.

Ironclad knew from the start he couldn’t beat me. That’s why he had to have a secret weapon.

You may have pulled one over on me Ironclad, but it won’t happen again.

I’m much more than anyone realizes.

I can’t wait to show you all what being a Dalmon really means.

Landon and his sister Lizzy have made their way to Chicago. After losing last week Landon didn’t want to head back to his Beverly Hills, California home. He didn’t need to hear about his failure from his so called friends. All he needed was his sister, and she was right here with him.

Obviously the twins have booked a luxurious suite befitting of their name. It’s been a long week but Landon has tried to put the embarrassing lose behind him. It’s when he’s alone that he begins to think lesser of himself than he should.

He sits at the dining room table with a mug in front of him. Landon stares at the wall in thinking until he is distracted by his sister entering the room.

I know you’re all wondering...yes she looks amazing.

Lizzy: What are you drinking?

Landon: Coffee…

She looks at her brother confused.

Lizzy: I thought you didn't like coffee.

Landon: I don't. I just thought maybe it could give me a competitive edge.

This makes his sister a bit angry. She isn't used to seeing her brother doubt himself like this.

Lizzy: I don't want to hear you talk like that! Your competitive advantage is in your name, your blood.

He knows she is right. His sister always knows exactly what to do to put a smile on his face.

Landon: You're right as always. What would I ever do without you?

Lizzy: I'm sure you'd find something…

After a brief moment of silence Lizzy approaches her brother.

Lizzy: Since you don't need this anymore mind if I have it?

She doesn't even wait for a reply before grabbing the mug of coffee. As she takes a sip she spits it out almost immediately.

Lizzy: That's disgusting! Didn't you put anything in it?

Landon: Like what? I had to make someone from housekeeping to make it for me.

Lizzy: I like mine with sugar and double cream.

Landon: Why doesn't that surprise me?

For that remark he is greeted with a playful punch to his arm.

Landon: Ouch! You're a lot stronger than you look.

Lizzy: Aww poor baby! Do you want me to kiss it and make it better?

Landon: Yes please…

She thinks it over for a moment.

Lizzy: Maybe later. You need to prepare for your match with two men.

Landon: I was thinking you could give me some pointers since that's your specialty.

Lizzy: Don't make me hit you again!

The two siblings share a smile and a laugh.

Landon: So where are you off to?

Lizzy: Shopping! Where else?

This week I have a little more margin for error. I don't even have to win. All I have to do is not lose.

I'm sure to some that's perfectly acceptable. I'm sure that some would be happy with being second best.

That's not the case when you're a Dalmon.

I may be fine with having things handed to me on a silver platter. It's all I've ever known. Not being the best at something is new to me.

Last week I gave a performance unworthy of the Dalmon name. I promise things will be different.

I may not have to win to advance to the Classic championship match but I'm going to.

I know that I find myself in the same boat as my two opponents, but we are not the same. I was cheated out of what I deserve. When he comes to JC Keeton and Alistir Valca they just weren’t good enough.

Valca it must grind at you a bit. You had to go to a wrestling academy, work your way up. I’m sure you’re thinking it has to do with money. You probably think I bought my way in. That I’m here because of money. Sure money talks but did you watch my match last week? I think I more than proved I belong.

I didn’t take the same road you did because I didn’t have to. From the moment I decided to step into the ring I was already better than you. That’s not debatable.

So when you step out in front of your hometown crowd and fail, please don’t take it to badly. Dalmons have been keeping people down for years.

Those may be your people in the crowd, but I’m a national treasure.

That brings us to JC Keeton. The kid who has to follow in his daddy’s footsteps.

On the surface it might seem we are a lot alike. We both have a father who is prominent in their chosen fields. We both lost in the Redemption tournament. Winning the Redemption title would have made either of our careers.

There’s a big difference. Despite what you say or think, you were always going to be a wrestler. It’s in your blood. You're’ right where you’re supposed to be. A shot to make it into the match for the Classic title. It must feel like Christmas.

You’ve got talent, I’ll give you that. It’s possible you might be at my level. I have to believe that you’ll rise to the occasion. If not...well I guess you’ll just have to watch me win the Classic title from the back.

The way I see it, my ticket into the match has already been punched. It doesn’t matter which one of you I actually beat. If either of you were smart you’d side with me and ensure that you get one step closer.

I may have missed out on the Redemption title...for now.

But I can live with being Classic.

That’s because I’m…

The Beautiful!

The Rich!

The Athletic!

The Talented!

THE Landon Dalmon!
