Sometimes a man just needs to hide out for awhile, rethink his strategy and purpose. Clear the cobwebs out of his head, and refocus. This is a scary deal for everyone else involved. There is nothing scarier than a man who has nothing to lose. In a secluded area deep in the woods, off a beaten trail lies a dilapidated wooden structure. Inside a dim light bulb burns in a shallow looking contraption that was once a sturdy building. A pile of thin covers line a used mattress that rests on the floor. A makeshift table made out of milk crates, and a piece of splintered plywood sits to the side of the wall. A small hole is cut out of the wall to make a window. This once proud structure has been withered by nature and time. A man steps out of the shadows, with 8 days worth of growth on his face. Standing next to the makeshift window, he stares out into the woods with a silent glare. The peaceful nature all around him, in motion, as he watches in silence. Ironclad: This is what I needed, time away from everything. He steps away from the window, and spots a wobbly chair. He moves closer to the chair, pulls it away from the wall and sits at the table. On the table, laid out is a game of solitaire in progress. Ironclad resumes his game, glaring at the cards as he flips each one over. Ironclad: Cards are a game of chance, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But I like those odds. He continues to play his game. In the biker world, losing a fight meant you lost turf, and the recent losses in Redemption meant a lot of ground to make up. Sometimes in life you have to take one on the chin to realize what you need to do next. Getting away, in the eyes of some people, means either you are a coward, or you couldn’t hack it. Could he hack it? From past performances, it sure didn’t look like it, which is why time off was needed. Ironclad looks down at his game of solitaire, and stops for a second. Ironclad: The game of solitaire, is otherwise known as patience. If you don’t have patience then you won’t succeed at this game. That’s why my first shot wasn’t as good. I was impatient. The first taste of victory was too sweet, and it went to my head. Now the time alone has done wonders, the impatience has left, and the focus came back. He looks back down at the cards and continues to play his game. Drawing card by card out of the pile and manipulating them around, like he has done with many people over the years. Manipulation is a key part of this game, and as it is in life. You have to work the people around you to get the results that you want. Everyone manipulates someone at some point in their pathetic existence. John GIllman pops into his head all of a sudden. Ironclad: I don’t care who John is honestly, to me he seems like someone that will try his hardest to fit into wherever he goes. Just like the other 99 percent of the population in this world, he wants to blend in. Unfortunately for John, I’ll blend his face into the mat. There is nothing like taking someone’s head, and driving it down as hard as you can. Sometimes,if you listen closely, you can hear the pop of their nose and watch the blood come flying out when they get back up. Other times, they just don’t get back up. Which one is it going to be for you John? Choice A or Choice B. It doesn’t matter to me son, but if you pick Choice A and get back up, then I will turn it into Choice B and make sure you stay down for good. My actions speak louder than my words. I am a silent predator, who stalks his prey until the time is right to strike. John, I have been keeping my eye on you. This predator was wounded, and you thought it would be smart to challenge me. You tried to strike when I was at my weakest, but I have healed. John, you are going to be looking across the ring with a man who doesn’t give a shit anymore. I have cleared the cobwebs, I am re-energized and refocused, and my mind is where it needs to be. We play by my rules now John, and you are my first victim. Nothing is going to stop me from ripping you limb from limb, piece by piece, until nothing is left. Your challenge will go unfulfilled as you lay in a hospital bed, asking that most important question…..Why? So John, the only question is….will it be Choice A or Choice B? Your call. |
