If any of you guys have never heard of Eric Whitacre's creation The Virtual Choir....you're welcome in advance for this post.

Simple description: Anyone...ANY ONE...from ANYWHERE in the world who wants to learn/sing a nice song and can upload a video to the interwebs does exactly that. All the videos/parts get edited together into one final music video to create a virtual choir. It's been going on for four years. 2014 with be the fifth (whenever submitting starts). Last year there were a total of 8,409 videos with 5,905 singers from 101 countries (including my mother and me). You can see the awesome video and visit the main site for more information here (I suggest your best pair of headphones and as much volume as you can handle):

Eric Whitacre: Virtual Choir 4

If you like to sing, you should definitely keep an eye on this to join in. Technical ability is not too important in this case, outside of being able to learn the music. So whether you think you're a "bad" singer or not, you're still more than welcome to hop on the VC-train.

I'll admit that every time I've seen the virtual choir videos (which you can look up on youtube for previous years), I get so emotional so quickly. Just to see and hear so many people from all over the world coming together to create something so beautiful...it gives me goosebumps and a little bit o' hope.

Let me know what you think or if any of you think you might join in on the next! I know I will (provided I don't slip up and miss it).
