I'm guessing it's a problem with your Nvida graphics card driver, it's not uncommon with Nvida drivers. I don't rate Nvidia at all but the gamers love them
I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again :)

David, do I need this N-Vidia or whatever it's called. It's been doing the same again - a few times now. :(

Yes Moll, the graphics card driver is needed. I've just done a quick Google (I'll clean it up latter ) and it seems it's a very common error :( (I've said it before and I'll say it again, Nvidia are rubbish at making drivers!).
The first thing to do is to find out what graphics card you have, Control Panel in classic mode then Display should tell us that.
Then I think I'd uninstall the graphics card from Device Manager, restart and let Windows try and sort it out.
If that doesn't work I'd go to Nvidia's driver download page, download the right driver and install it.
If that didn't work I'd go to a computer shop, buy an ATI graphics card, pu it in instead of the Nvidia one and finally take a hammer to the Nvidia one

Did you do a Disc Check?

EDIT:
Link to Nvidia's driver page,

Thank you David. I didn't do a disc check, and I haven't been very well today. I promise I will do one though. Cheers.

If you click yes then restart your PC the scan will being when the PC is booting up. Be prepared for a long wait while it's doing it, I'd guess at somewhere between 1 and 2 hours for your PC :)

What's happened? I've replied to this once.

What I said was that I didn't know it would take as long as that, so I'll do it on Saturday whilst I'm doing my housework. :)

I've run the disc scan now, David. What's the next step? It only took about 20 minutes. :D
