Hi, I'm making my first game which is a scrolling shooter, and it's doing good except for one part that I've done. I don't beleive in tutorials, so, I'm trying to do everything by myself, so here's the problem: When the plane shoots the bullet, how do I make the object that the bullet hit dissapear? I've already tried destroying the instance, but that didn't work. |

Okay, I figured out my problem with that, but I have on more. How do I make it so that you have to hit all the enemies and then it changes to the next room, not just one? |

well there are a few ways. Are you manualy placing all the planes or are you doing it randomly? |

I'm putting the enemy planes manually into the room, should I do something else? |

ok well probaly the best way to do this is to create a new varible or just score. make sure you add 1 to the score each time you kill a enemy. Once a certen number of enemys are killed do what ever. so for example: for adding one to your score:
and to check if enought enemys have been killed use this:

Thats an extremely difficult way. Heres the easiest way... Create an object named obj_Enemies how make all the enemies parents obj_Enemies by finding where it says parent in the objects information, just below sprite and Solid... now make, in your main guys Step Event, the Drag and Drop icon that says "When a number of instances is a value" and make the instances be obj_Enemies Now when there is nothing left with the parent obj_Enemies, the game will do whatever you put after that Drag and Drop action, for example, if next room exists, go to next room. Hope you understand... |
