General Manager Bret Hart has not been scene on AWF programming since the first show due to prior commitments with the Calgary Hitmen hockey team of the WHL in addition to other matters. Even though Wade Barrett has been running the ship in Hart's absence, the Hitman was responsible for signing and bringing in Phil Atlas. Bret should turn soon as most of the promotional work he did has been complete.

Speaking of Atlas, morale has gone up since word broke out of Atlas' signing since he is well liked amongst those on the roster. Even though he has a history of arriving late for live events he does work hard. One indy promoter once offered 'a cookie and some gum' to anyone that would re-adjust Atlas's clock when daylight savings time takes effect so he could be extra early. On the plus side because he has two gimmicks he has been known for pulling double duty so some say that might make up for his arrival times.

Officials are high on Taylor Mason and Ricky James' work rate, more so on Taylor because he doesn't complain as much. The road agent in charge of Ricky's match with Trish Stratus originally wanted the match to be Rick being wailed on five minutes. Taylor teaming with Zack Ryder the first time was just a random pairing and the two of them came up with the idea for their entrance moments before it happened. Officials liked the response it got so they were paired up again.

While they have experience as a team there is talk of splitting up Cody Deaner and Reck.

There is legit heat between Markus Ryan and Steven Richards over the XCW title and Ryan tossing it into the crowd at a previous AWF event. It was not as much of the act itself as much as it was the effort of getting the belt back. The belt was returned to XCW's front office and officials are trying to figure out what to do. Word is they are trying to see if that can legally force Markus Ryan to appear but Ryan's attorney as mentioned nobody wants this to end up like when Mike Awesome, who was in WCW, dropped the ECW title to a WWF contracted wrestler. Chris Jericho is contracted to AWF but still shows up in XCW from time to time and finds this whole situation somewhat entertaining. Bret Hart still has minority stake in XCW but will not comment publicly on the title situation to avoid a possible conflict of interest.

Nobody seems to know what, if any, connections there are between IWE's Bullet Club and Jeff Jarrett's version of the group. Recently Jarrett and Omega have been showing up to events wearing Bullet Club clothing. It should be noted in Japan both Omega and Jarrett are members of the group. Despite what some on the internet are claiming, Chris Jericho is not a member of 'the Bullet Club,' but scientist are looking into see if there is any truth to him inventing 'Bullet Club.' On what may or may not be a related note Chris Jericho posted on twitter showing tickets and stating that he will be attending one of the live shows for MythBusters.

Even though he's only been on the job for less than a month, ring crew member Damien Maxwell is taking a leave of absence. The request was granted by Bret Hart after the most recent taping. Those who know him well said they heard a close friend is in very rough shape and he wants to be there to help. If the facts true then it could very well be former XCW Impact Champion Blayde Blaze. After being released from the couple over a year and a half ago a downward spiral for him began, in and out of rehab, as well of a couple of reported suicide attempts (none of which have been confirmed). It was believed that Damien asking Jake Roberts for a favour on the last Action Zone was a shoot. Given all that Roberts has been through it would seem nature to ask The Snake for advice. Regular FBL viewers may remember Damien as former XCW Grand Slam winner. He hasn't had a match in XCW for quite some time and is on a pay per appearance verbal deal with them.

Chris Jericho's band Fozzy will be appearing in conjunction with AWF at upcoming events.
