I think keeping track of X # of uses is more tedious than it should be, and too easy for people to cheat the system (not saying you would).

If we clearly list however "on tour with XYZ until June 30th or something that would clear it up for everyone.

Keep in mind this was an experimental deal type, and I like the idea a lot still but think it needs this minor tweak. Anybody else have thoughts on this?

I'm curious as to how we could cheat the system with only five appearances that the touring contract allows.

I don't know if a time table like that works for me cause I'm so tedious in my show writing. I may tweak it.

Time wise it could backfire (not to beat a dead horse but WPW's only had one full show so far) if timing gets in the way and one can't post as often as they like as what CJ mentioned.

I get the concern about cheating the system but with how I've been so far I've been able to keep track of myself and I've been pretty open on how I've been doing things so far.

Maybe a date limit if someone is unproven or has been sneaky, but for those who have been honest so far I see no need to change thing.

I get what your saying, I have a storyline idea which involves some Australian (who are currently under a 5 deal tour with me). Now if we had the new tweak I'm suggesting in place I would have lose those guys as it's been over a month (or whatever time frame we agree upon).

Open to everyone else's ideas though.

This won't be much of an issue now, but if in the future somebody decides they want Japan Wrestler X, and he's touring with promotion XYZ the current system would allow for that XYZ promotion to stall and keep that person from the other promotion.

It COULD[i/] be disasterous later on in that type of scenario if it were to arise.

Dude it's not a mistrust thing, I was just updating the talent availability page on the site and noticed I don't know how many times anyone as truly used a touring date (so I took them off and just left it as "touring with AWF" with no detail

I was just thinking for an office worker point of view as I'm want to due that it would be cleaner.

but I TOTALLY get that my idea would put a ticking clock on people, and a few storyline ideas I had planned would be scrapped and wasted

Plus we didn't enforce it but I'm almost certain the initial rule we agreed on was along the lines of.

X # of dates (up to 5 maximum), that expire if not used by X date.

We all kinda left off the last part when bidding.

Well, I think a compromise could me made if someone wanted to sign a guy, but he's on a touring contract. Perhaps, allow them to finish the dates committed as well as be utilized on the show that signed them?

Also, I would love to see more WPW shows. If writing out the show like a screenplay, much like I do, is too much maybe do the IWE style. He churns five shows in a week it seems like (nothing wrong with that as I do enjoy IWE). I think activity all around, especially for myself since I'm only on my six show and we've been at this since February.

That is a good argument. Joe and I had a discussion about a guy I signed today that I had on a touring contract. If he wanted to sign him while I still had one more use on him I'd talk with him and be like 'Yeah I'm cool if you have him but alright if I still use his final date?' I'm sure we'd work it out peacefully. With the crew we have now I do not see there being a problem.

Now if there was intentional stalling to be a dick maybe put it to a group vote on how to handle it and handle it case by case?

For example say Mike Lev came back (which if that did happen I don't know if I'd stick around, but I'd see how things would go before I ask, it's a new era) and he wanted say a mexcian worker I had under a touring deal. I'd still try to use the guy but finish up in a reasonable time frame. I'd also be cool with him taking the guy now but I still can finish the guy's dates (or use at a reduced number if he was just signed recently).

I think all of us that are here at the time of this posting we can work it out on our own without being anal towards each other, but should someone show up down the road and it does become an issue for whatever reason I think more of a 'talk it over' approach would be better than making an iron clad rule right now.

I do remember we used an appearance date, but never put a time table on it. Just 5 days and done. And by my count I've only used Sexy Star once. Angelico once. Kay Lee Ray twice.

Wow I thought this was going to be a very easy and unquestioned change. Didn't mean to spark a fire in everyone.

lol we can leave things be for now

I wouldn't say a fire has been sparked, it was a valid question to ask and a decent topic to debate.

On that note totally waiting for Sexy stars touring to be over haha CJ. Anyway I like democracy and I like the idea of if there seems to be abuse/Dickerson, to put it up to an FBL tribunal. We're all adults and I'm astonished to say we've all been here for nearly a decade it seems haha and I can put faith in ourselves to sort things out when (if) they get messy. That's just me being myself and super laid back.

What was wrong with Mike Lev by the way, I always liked that guy.

I don't want to talk negative about a guy that is not here but to keep it short while he had good writing skills some of his content I found him to be kind of a jerk about it, then I became a jerk in retaliation. I think it ended with us agreeing to disagree and I eventually left on my own anyway over unrelated matters.

As I mentioned in the previous post if say he suddenly showed up tomorrow sure I'd give it a shot but I would be cautious of history repeating itself.

Lev was alright the majority of the time but a few years ago he got funny about something I said, wrote me as a character in some of his shows, and tried to make me look a bit of a fool. I don't think anyone even noticed so it backfired as the board wasnt very active at the time. I wasn't really that fussed to be honest but I found it quite odd and cringeworthy that he took the time to bury me on an internet forum. I never had any issues with the guy myself.
