RELOADED MATCH #1: Dahlia Black (with The South Pacific Power Trip) defeated Jinny Couture via pinfall with the Dark Side of the Moonsault. TK Cooper sat on commentary during the bout. He talked up his girlfriend's in-ring abilities and also mentioned that she is ready to become more of an active in-ring competitor if the commissioner will give her the chance. RELOADED MATCH #2: Nikki Cross & Bea Priestley defeated Pollyanna Peppers & Laura Di Matteo via pinfall with a Flapjack DDT which the commentary team called the Silent Nightmare. After the bout had ended, RJ Singh interviewed the winners who revealed that the two of them will be a united force going forward and want to be known as The Demonic Sisterhood. RELOADED MATCH #3: Session Moth Martina defeated Nixon Newell via pinfall with the Satellite DDT in another shock victory for The Queen of Sesh Style. The former champion took her defeat badly and decided to go on the attack after the bell. Newell dropped Martina with the Welsh Destroyer before laying her out with her finishing move; the Shining Wizard. EPW Live #66 After Reloaded finishes, a video recap of last week's episode airs where Jack Gallagher unified the EPW British National Championship and the EPW All England Championship by beating Marty Scurll to become the first-ever EPW British Undisputed Champion. We also saw Jimmy Havoc defend his EPW British Hardcore Championship in a gruesome Flaming Tables Match, Kay Lee Ray pull off the heist of the century as she stole the EPW British Women's Championship from Viper with assistance from Noam Dar, Moustache Mountain finally capture the EPW British Tag Team Championships from The Kings of the North, Mark Haskins defeat Chris Renfrew to send the former leader of The Tartan Rebellion on his way and Big Damo become the #1 contender with a hard-fought win over Joe Coffey. Tonight's show comes to you live in front of a sold-out crowd in Rotherham. Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness welcome us to the show. Scheduled for tonight; The C.C.K vs. Muscle, Steel and Sex Appeal in a qualifying match for the 4 Corners Tag Team Match for the #1 contendership, new EPW British Tag Team Champions Moustache Mountain battle The Grizzled Young Veterans in a non-title bout and El Ligero takes on Noam Dar in singles action. Doug Williams will also be in attendance to accept an award for 25 years of outstanding contribution to British wrestling. The Anarchist will be out here to address the fans of English Pro Wrestling later tonight. 'Toreador' is heard over the arena speakers to a huge pop from the crowd. Out walks Jack Gallagher and the EPW British Undisputed Champion makes his way down to the ring. The Extraordinary Gentleman thanks his fans for an amazing night last week which will go down as one of the finest in his career. He promises to continue to represent English Pro Wrestling as it's champion with pride. As the champ raises his new belt up high, he is interrupted by the music of the new #1 contender. He turns to see his upcoming challenger walk out on to the stage alongside Dave Finlay and The Kings of the North. Big Damo allows Finlay to do the talking for him. The Irish veteran makes it known that his ally intends on ending the 'cute' championship reign of Jack Gallagher in painful fashion. He also promises that Damo will snap Gallagher's puny little neck as soon as he locks on the most devastating hold in all of wrestling; the Cu Chullain's Wrath. The champion fires back by claiming that these threats do not phase him in the slightest. What he intends on doing is what he does best; beating the odds and continuing to be a fighting champion. To prove his statement isn't just all talk, he challenges Big Damo to bring The Kings of the North to the ring later and they can mix it up in a six-man tag team match. The group accept. It looks like we have our main event. Non-Title Match Moustache Mountain vs. The Grizzled Young Veterans The new champions are given a warm welcome on their arrival to the ring. Their heroic performance last week has earned them back the respect of the English Pro Wrestling fans as they ended the reign of The Kings of the North. Moustache Mountain have finally climbed their way to the top of the tag team division. Two men who take exception to that are their opponents tonight. Zack Gibson and James Drake beat three of EPW's top teams during the initial Tag Team Gauntlet and believe that they should have been the #1 contenders all along. The Grizzled Young Veteran's frustrations show in the early stages as they are relentless in isolating Trent Seven in their corner. The 36 year old brawler becomes fatigued quickly after Gibson and Drake use repeated tags, strikes and double team moves to make sure he doesn't get a chance to breath, let alone try to tag out. Liverpool's Number One drops The Bombardier of Battery on the deck with the Helter Skelter Brainbuster for the first near fall of the contest. He then tries to lock on the Shankley Gates however Trent counters in to an Armbar. As Gibson grabs the rope for a break, Seven uses the opportunity to leap over to tag in his partner. Tyler Bate is all fired up after seeing his fellow champion beaten down. He begins throwing strikes left, right and centre before flooring Gibson with an Axe Bomber. James Drake is tagged in. The relative newcomer manages to slow things down again when he delivers a Spinning Spinebuster to the 20-year old prodigy. He then locks on an Abdominal Stretch to wear Tyler down. Bate eventually elbows his way out and turns the tables again with a Rolling Wheel Kick. He follows up with a Standing Shooting Star Press for the pinfall. Zack Gibson jumps in to break it up but as he does, Trent Seven charges in to send both himself and Liverpool's Number One over the ropes with a Cactus Clothesline. The fans go nuts as Tyler Bate climbs to his feet in the mean time. He gets the crowd up off their feet whilst James Drake finds his feet. In the mean time, Zack Gibson has floored Trent Seven with an Exploder Suplex on the outside. He then quickly jumps on to the apron to tag himself in without Tyler Bate's knowledge. The reigning champion executes the Tyler Driver '97 in the middle of the ring and hooks the leg. As a confused Tyler wonders why the official isn't counting, Zack Gibson charges in and rolls Bate up in to a School Boy. The referee counts. He reaches three. The Grizzled Young Veterans score the upset. Boos echo around the venue. As Bate and Seven talk to senior official Chris Roberts about what has just gone down, the victors flee the ring. Zack Gibson helps the fallen James Drake to the back. The northerners have earned themselves a shot at the EPW British Tag Team Championships with this win over the reigning champs. Nigel McGuinness comments that Gibson and Drake may have been the better team as they claimed all along. RJ Singh is standing by in the backstage area for an interview. He is joined by BT Gunn. The Oddity relays his statement after he attacked Mark Haskins in the ring last week. He meant every word he said and he is going to prove to the world that when all is said and done, he will be the most successful member of The Tartan Rebellion after the faction's split whether the establishment like it or not. Singh questions why he chose to attack Mark Haskins. Gunn thinks that the person that's benefited the most from the group's split is Haskins and over his dead body is he going to let that happen. He also sees Mark as one of the establishment's favoured wrestlers. When asked what he means, he claims that it doesn't matter how many matches he loses, he still has a job and he still gets booked in worthwhile matches whilst the likes of him are ignored week in week out despite proving that he is one of the most consistent performers this company has on the roster. Wolfgang lost last week. Joe Coffey lost last week. Chris Renfrew lost last week. BT Gunn guarantees he won't be making the same mistakes as his former allies. Finally, he ends the interview by challenging Mark Haskins to meet him in the ring next week. The C.C.K vs. Muscle, Steel and Sex Appeal As we heard during the show's introduction, the winning team will secure themselves a place in an upcoming 4 Corners Tag Team Elimination Match where a shot at the EPW British Tag Team Championships will be on the line. Each team in the match will have to qualify though. This is the first of those qualifying matches though. The C.C.K are consistent fan favourite and had an unsuccessful shot at the titles last months so will be looking to get back in the mix. Muscle, Steel and Sex Appeal have mostly been appearing on Reloaded since their formation a couple of months ago. With mixed success in terms of victories, it is about time they upped their game if they want to start challenging for gold any time soon. The early stages contain a back and forth methodical war between the two teams. The momentum swings in favour of the heels when Josh Bodom clocks Kid Lykos with a Pop-Up Knee Lift and then launches him in to the turnbuckles with a German Suplex. Nathan Cruz then retrieves the first near fall of the match after executing a Double Knee Facebreaker. He then attempts to follow up with a Slingshot Back Suplex. Lykos lands on his feet and then runs the ropes to deliver a Wheelbarrow Bulldog. The masked high-flyer from Cambridge takes to the ropes for a high-risk move. He flies through the air for a Shooting Star Press. Despite missing, he lands on his feet and still manages to nail The Prima Donna with a Jumping Corkscrew Roundhouse Kick. Lykos then tags in Brookes who continues to ride the wave of momentum his partner began. After delivering some strikes, he locks on the Octopus Stretch and the former EPW British 15 Champion looks in pain. He considers quitting before Josh Bodom springs off the ropes to break the hold with a Springboard Hurricanrana. As the official orders Bodom back to his corner, Nathan Cruz quickly executes a kick to the groin and a Snap DDT on the money. He hooks the leg. The referee turns back round. He counts two but Brookes finds the energy to kick out. After fighting back, he gets the tag and The C.C.K attempt a hearty comeback. This grinds to a halt though when Josh Bodom avoids the Yakuza Kick from Brookes and drops him with the Bliss Buster. The heels have the 2-on-1 advantage now with Kid Lykos' partner well out of it. Cruz and Bodom execute their Bridging German Suplex/Blockbuster combination move which Mauro Ranallo calls the Terminal Velocity. As the official counts to three, The Prima Donna holds on for the pinfall. Muscle, Steel and Sex Appeal pick up the win. The cockiest team in the division advance to the 4 Corners Tag Team Elimination Match and the crowd hate it. Nathan Cruz and Josh Bodom hang around in the ring to rub it in the faces of the sold-out crowd before embracing in a celebratory hug. In the mean time, Brookes and Lykos receive assistance on their way to the back. As we return from a break, Jim Smallman has a plaque in hand. He then welcomes out Doug Williams to the ring who gets a warm welcome from the English Pro Wrestling fans. The Anarchist shakes hands and doesn't want to take up too much time. He thanks all the wrestling fans from around the globe for giving him an amazing 25 years in the business where he has achieved success everywhere he has been. As he takes the plaque with a smile, he is interrupted by an unfamiliar theme song. Out from the back walks Joseph Conners who some of the fans recognise as a mainstay of the UK independent scene. The commentary team quickly introduce him as one of the hottest free agents in the country but also one of the most intense men to step foot in a British wrestling ring. Conners reaches the ring. He then half heartedly apologises for the interruption. The self-proclaimed Righteous Killer appreciates everything that Doug Williams has done however what Williams has to appreciate is that EPW's past is now sharing the ring with EPW's future. This statement riles up the crowd to which Doug asks what Conners has done to come out with such a statement. He reminds the rookie that he hasn't bust his arse representing this country all over the world to be disrespected by punks like him. The situation escalates when Conners strikes The Anarchist with an open-handed slap across the face. The two begin to scuffle however The Righteous Killer gets the best of the exchange. He soon hooks the veteran up for his Package Piledriver finisher; the Don't Look Down. 'Elevated' by It Lives, It Breathes plays over the arena speakers at the right moment. Joseph Conners drops Doug Williams when Will Ospreay charges out from the backstage area. He chases the newcomer out before handing Williams back his plaque and raising his arm in a show of respect. In the mean time, Conners is furious. He kicks the steel steps on his way out but The Righteous Killer takes a moment to turn and stare down The Aerial Assassin who is still in the ring. Joseph Conners tried to make an impact on arrival. There is no doubt that he will be looking for revenge after his plan was foiled by the recently revitalised Will Ospreay. Noam Dar (with Kay Lee Ray) vs. El Ligero The Scottish Supernova played a pivotal role in the result of last week's EPW British Women's Championship bout when he decided to screw the now former champion out of her title and appeared to reap the rewards as he locked lips with the new champion after the match. He also took part in a scathing interview labelling the ex-champ as 'an ugly, disgusting, fat freak'. The crowd show their disapproval to his behaviour as he struts down the aisle holding hands with his new partner in crime. His opponent also doesn't appear too keen on the cocky Scot either. El Ligero kicks off this match before the bell with a Running Dropkick whilst Noam Dar is partaking in a pre-match kiss with Kay Lee Ray. The masked sensation then unleashes a barrage of strikes on his opponent before transitioning in to a Monkey Flip. As Dar escapes for a breather, Ligero quickly tries to follow up with a Tope Suicida. KLR pulls her new boyfriend to safety and his opponent hits the barricade. The Scottish Supernova tries to capitalise with a pinfall but it's a kick-out at two. He continues to batter the Mexican high-flyer for a minute or so whilst targeting the knee. It's clear he wants to set up for that Champagne Super Kneebar. Noam executes an Airplane Spin however when he goes to transition in to a Northern Lights Suplex, El Ligero counters in to a Tornado DDT. The crowd are hyped for a comeback. The masked high-flyer delivers a Leaping Clothesline, a Dropkick and a Handspring Enzuiguri. He then takes to the turnbuckles with a view for a Shooting Star Press. As he dives, Kay Lee Ray pulls her man out to safety once again. This time the referee sees it and warns her that she will be ejected if she gets involved any more. The fans suddenly goes nuts when Viper turns up at ringside. The new champion clocks her from the ring and a chase ensues back in to the ring. Viper gets hold of Kay Lee Ray however Noam Dar eventually gets in the way. He warns Viper to back off. As he threatens to punch her, El Ligero appears out of nowhere in the air and pulls off the C4L. He hooks the leg. Viper drops Kay Lee Ray with the Chokeslam whilst the referee counts to three. El Ligero wins. The referee hoists his arm up in victory however he has something else in mind. He looks towards Viper with his thumbs up. The former champion places Kay Lee Ray on top of Noam Dar to follow up with a Running Seated Senton on to both. The crowd cheer as this unlikely duo celebrate in the ring together. As we return from the final break, cameras are following Jimmy Havoc backstage. The King of the Deathmatch has his EPW British Hardcore Championship over his shoulder. He appears to be searching for someone and it isn't hard to guess who he's looking for. The champ is asking everybody if they have seen Strangler Davis. No one has seen him in the building all day though. Eventually, William Regal cautiously approaches and asks Havoc to just calm down. The commissioner agrees that what Strangler did last week was out of line. He books a match between the two which Havoc seems happy with. The hardcore specialist even proposes that he puts his title on the line and is willing to face his newfound enemy in any match he wants. Regal says that's fine but Havoc must calm down for him to officially book the match. Havoc agrees and the two part ways. As Jimmy heads in to the locker room to gather his things, waiting in there is Strangler Davis who pounces immediately. The attacker quickly takes down his victim before repeatedly whipping him across the back with a bull rope. As Havoc tries to fight back, the bull rope is wrapped around his neck and he is strangled with it until he passes out. Wrestlers soon run to the scene to which Strangler Davis chooses as the right time to flee the scene. As he backs away, he yells at his colleagues that they will all fear him. We soon head back to the ring for our six-man main event. Six-Man Tag Team Match Jack Gallagher, ??? & ??? vs. Big Damo & The Kings of the North (with Dave Finlay) The Irish faction make their way down the aisle first to a hostile response. Big Damo leads the way with Bonesaw and Damien Corvin either side of him. Dave Finlay follows behind him with a grin on his face. He knows his collection of brawlers are feared amongst the locker room. One man who isn't afraid of them though is the reigning champion. Jack Gallagher makes his way out on to the stage with a microphone in hand. We don't know who his partners are quite yet. The champ explains that he knows he go toe-to-toe with the #1 contender however he needed to find two men who could keep his lackies 'entertained' Luckily those men were already touring the United Kingdom and they were just hungry to climb in to an English Pro Wrestling ring. He then welcomes out The American Wolves. Dave Finlay and The Kings of the North flip their lid as 'Force of Nature' blasts over the arena speakers. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards make their debut in EPW to a warm welcome from the fans in Rotherham. They look happy to be here but look even more focused on the task at hand. All six men brawl immediately as they hit the ring. The first minute or so is absolute chaos. Eventually, Steve Lynskey manages to settle things down. Bonesaw dishes out some knife-edge chops to Davey Richards who fires back with some even stiffer ones of his own. He then tags in Eddie Edwards and the duo execute the Fall of the Overlords for a near fall. Edwards dominates for a while before tagging in Jack Gallagher who is chomping at the bit to get some of his opponents. Damien Corvin falls victim to the Full Windsor Knot. As he tries to struggle out of it, the champ plants him with a Soccer Kick in the buttocks which gets a cheer from the crowd. It doesn't get one from Dave Finlay though who tries to wrestle past the referee to get in the ring. The two teams then continue with the heels getting the upper hand thanks to the sheer power of Damo knocking every one down. The match rolls on with the momentum going back and forth. Davey Richards attempts his finishing move; the DR Driver. Damien Corvin manages to fight out of it and then pulls off the Royal Mutilation for a near fall for his team. He slowly crawls over for a tag to Damo. Just before he can reach him, Jack Gallagher takes to the ropes from the apron and knocks the big man down to the floor with a Front Missile Dropkick. He then follows up with a Diving Senton off the apron to keep the #1 contender out of play. This gives The American Wolves the perfect opportunity to finish off the match. Bonesaw is dropped with an Elevated Cutter before they execute the Force of Nature on to Damien Corvin for the three count. Jack Gallagher and The American Wolves pick up the win. The champion soon joins his partners in the ring to have their arms raised. They take to the turnbuckles to salute the cheering crowd and then head backstage. The cameras are still rolling. Big Damo is furious at the defeat and is yelling at Dave Finlay in anger. The veteran is trying to calm down The Beast From Belfast however he just seems to be getting angrier by the second. He then starts throwing the steel steps and nearly hits Mauro Ranallo behind the announce desk. In the mean time, The Kings of the North are finding their feet in the ring. Damo soon rolls in and takes both men out with a Double Clothesline. The #1 contender has snapped. He lifts BOTH men up and drops them with a Double Electric Chair Driver in a tremendous display of strength. Bonesaw rolls out to ringside. As Damo approaches Damien Corvin to lock on the Cu Chullain's Wrath, Dave Finlay pleads with him not to. The big man then asks Finlay whether he's with them or him. He doesn't even have to think twice before ordering him to rip the former champions to shreds. Damo applies the submission with reckless abandon until Bonesaw crawls back in to help his partner. He has walked in to the line of fire. As Bonesaw looks up at Finlay for help, the Irish wrestling legend shakes his head. The Beast From Belfast then peels him up off the mat and plants him on top of his partner with a Rolling Foreman's Carry Slam in brutal fashion. Dave Finlay crouches over the down bodies of his former running mates. He repeatedly yells 'you're weak'. The show closes with Big Damo placing one foot over The Kings of the North whilst Dave Finlay raises his arm. He may have been on the losing team but the monster certainly doesn't look like a loser. |

I wouldn't say the Grizzled ones stole this one, but the unexpected tag can be seen a little bit sneaky. It was effective though. Good win for Bodom and Cruz. Still getting use to the pairing but glad to see Bodom get the W here. Even though it is jerkish of Conners to interupt Williams' moment, Connners does have a valid point of the past is sharing the stage with the future. Got a feeeling with the run-in save Ospreay and Conners will go at it soon, but hopefully Conners will get a chance to face Williams so he can back up his words. Liked the involvement of Viper in the Dar/Ligero bout. Interesting choice of partners for Gallagher. Looks like the right choice was made. With that being said, a bit curious to seeing where things with Big Damo and Finlay will go from here. Will Finlay be able to patch things up with Bonesaw and Corvin by claiming he was trying to save his own ass from the big man? Will Finlay end up being next to feel Damo's wrath anyway? Will be watching to see how this plays out. |
