Revolution Wrestling Presents Chapter Two: The First Rule Undisclosed Location in Chicago, IL. 06.16.17 Backstage: Davey Vega is backstage preparing for his match, trying up his wrist tape (he's clearly struggling). He stops a ringboy and asks him to help. The boy happily agrees to. Davey asks the boy what he's here for, and the boy says to see the fights. Vega looks confused asking the boy to repeat himself, which he does. Vega tells the boy that he bets he'd like to meet one of the fighters. The boy smiles excitedly, and almost begins to beg Vega to adding "I've never met a wrestler before!". This clearly upsets Davey Vega, who leads the boy down an empty hallway, and to a door that has "The Machine: Brian Cage's Room". Vega knocks on the door, and a stressed out Brian Cage answers the door with a loud "WHAT?!" Not sounding welcoming at all and even causes Vega to back off a step or two. "Listen, this kiddo here wants to meet some fighters. He told all his buddies about tonight's show!" Davey tells Cage while he has an arm wrapped around the young boy. "Is that right?" Cage says looking down at the young boy that answers with a nervous nod. Brian Cage offers a handshake and the boy obviously accepts it. But Cage yanks him into the room and Davey Vega slams the door behind them. Davey holds his back against the door as the young boy pounds on the other end of the door, as his screams of help quickly turn into cries. Vega looks directly into the camera with a grin. "The First Rule is that you don't talk about Revolution Wrestling. Just don't tell anyone that I told you." Davey says. The door opens back open and Cage grabs Vega by the shoulder and yanks him into the room and slams the door on the camera. Cage peaks through the door and welcomes the viewer to Chapter Two: The First Rule. We are now back in the same run down basement in some warehouse as last months historic debut show. Ring Announcer, the lovely, Melissa Santos welcomes the rabid 200 plus fans packed into the place like sardines to Revolution Wrestling's second chapter called "The First Rule". Santos hypes that tonight we will crown the company's first champion, but it comes with unfortunate news. Trevor Lee and Andrew Everett both missed their flights. Because of this, young up and comers Jason Kincaid and Mat Fitchett will be their replacements in tonight's Double Elimination Match. Suddenly, Matt Riddle pushes his way through the crowd that literally surround the ringside area. The entire building is chanting "BRO! BRO! BRO!", and Riddle can't help but smile in appreciation. Riddle politely asks for the microphone from Santos and she hands it over to him. Firstly, Riddle thanks the crowd, but wishes he could be happy to be here. He says that his opponent, Mat Fitchett has been promoted to the main event tonight. "Now where does that leave this, Bro? You ask?" Riddle asks the crowd as he points to himself with his free thumb. "That leaves your boy without a match tonight in what was supposed to be his big debut". Suddenly, "Mr. Athletic" Jeff Cobb comes out to a huge reaction from the crowd as Riddle apparently has his answer. Match One: Matt Riddle vs. Jeff Cobb [20 Minute Time Limit] Both men have an intense stare down as the crowd is molten for this opening contest. Corey Graves calls this an incredible surprise as we are about to see two of the best in the indies right now square off in each their debuts here in Revolution Wrestling. Excalibur says that if the stench of the building hasn't turned them away then you know these two are masters of their craft, having travelled around the world to hone their skills and now they find themselves right here and now in Chicago staring each other in the eyes from across the ring as the opening bell starts us off. Riddle blasts out of his corner with a running kick to Cobb's chest, sending the bigger man stumbling into a corner. Riddle pounces with forearms in the corner, and looks for an exploder out of the corner but Cobb turns it over and sends Riddle flying with an exploder of his own. Cobb shakes off the opening assault, as Riddle is slow to his knees. Cobb grabs around Riddle's waist and deadlifts him up into a release german suplex dropping The King of Bros on the back of his head. Cobb makes the cover but Riddle kicks at two. Cobb chops Riddle into a corner, and runs into a boot to the face. Cobb dashes at Riddle again, but this time right into a triangle choke inb the corner. Riddle then falls back, hanging upside down in the ropes on the outside, keeping the triangle in on Cobb in the ring. Corey Graves reminds everyone that he has until the count of five from the referee. Stating rope breaks are practically the only thing that's enforced here in Revolution Wrestling. Riddle breaks the submission at the referees count of four, making sure to wait until the very last second wanting to squeeze as much life out of Mr. Athletic as possible. Riddle looks for a springboard flying knee, but the freak of nature called Jeff Cobb catches Riddle in mid air and plants him into the canvas with the Tour of the Islands! Cobb covers for the 1...2...KICK OUT! The crowd can't believe it and neither can Cob. Cobb grips around the limp Matt Riddle's waist and plants him with a german suplex, rolling through with it and keeping his grip around Riddle's body. Cobb hits a second dead lift german suplex onto Matt Riddle. He looks for the third and final one but Riddle is able to throw some elbows. Cobb is quick to shake them off but didn't expect Riddle to grapevine Cobb's leg, forcing him down to the mat and into an Ankle Lock! Cobb screams in pain as he crawls to the ropes, and is quick to grab them. Cobb is the one to his feet first as Riddle has taken the most punishment, but Excalibur claims that the longer this match goes on it has to favor Riddle at this point since Cobb has done nothing but throw bombs at Matt since the bell. Cobb and Riddle trade forearms in the center of the ring, Cobb clearly looking gassed takes a breather and Riddle kicks him square in the chest. Cobb is stunned. Riddle connects with a flurry of stiff kicks straight to Cobb's chest, but he ducks the forth but Cobb still eats a Pele Kick. Riddle then drops Cobb with the Package Driver Suplex for the 1...2...KICK! Riddle is in disbelief as he falls back on the canvas, trying to gain his breath. The crowd is going nuts as Exclaibur screams that even if seats were available that they wouldn't be used at this very moment right now. Both men reach their feet at the same time, as they begin trading forearms again. Riddle kicks Cobb in the head and he bounces off the ropes and takes Riddle's head off with a Running European Uppercut! Cobb picks up Riddle and plants him with a spinning Sit Out Powerbomb for a very long two count. Cobb then hits a standing moonsault and follows up with a standing shooting star press but gets caught into the second Triangle Choke of the match from Riddle. Matt rains down elbows on Cobb's head, as he slowly passes out and the referee calls the match in an incredible 12 minutes! After the match, Matt Riddle helps Jeff Cobb to his feet as the crowd gives both men a standing ovation and a loud "THANK YOU!" Chant. Riddle offers his hand for a shake and Cobb accepts it before walking off, leaving Matt Riddle soak in the adoration of the Chicago crowd. Backstage: Matt Sydal is in an empty room sitting down. Matt Sydal calls the X-Division a division they named after him. He tells a story of how he got back on the indies, the a fan came up to him and said that there's a lot of cool guys on the indies that are the next Matt Sydal. He never felt so insulted in his life. Sydal says he leaves the indies for a few years and when he comes back fully motivated and better than ever, the fans have already replaced him with the next craze like Ricochet or a Will Ospreay. Sydal promises that to remind everyone that he is Reborn and soon to be the very first X-Division champion of Revolution. Match Two: Davey Vega vs. Dalton Castle (w/ The Boys) [20 Minute Time Limit] The crowd loves Dalton Castle before the bell even rings, which immediately upsets Davey Vega saying that Dalton hasn't even done anything yet. The "Dalton" chants only get louder and louder resulting in Davey having to cover his ears with both his hands. Dalton lays on the top rope in a corner posing as his boys fan him down. Davey tells him to get serious, and that gets Dalton interested as he raises an eye brow and climbs off the ropes. He slowly circles Davey who looks nervous but keeps his eyes locked on Castle's. Before a lock up, Dalton puffs his chest out like the proud Peacock that he is. The crowd goes ape shit drowning out the building with "DALTON" chants. This upsets Davey who kicks Dalton in the gut and pummels him down into the canvas with clobbering blows to the back of the neck. Davey locks in a headlock, laughing at Dalton who gets to his feet by the will of the crowd, and connects with an atomic drop and then a german suplex with the bridge for a long two count. Davey backs away into a corner begging off Castle, who doesn't let up and gets a thumb to the eye for his impatience. Vega hits a mafia kick/neckbreaker combination for a quick two count on The Party Peacock. Davey Vega connects with a hip toss onto his knee, and follows up with a running senton splash for another two count. Vega climbs to the top rope, shouting unfavorable words towards Dalton Castle's Boy's. Castle then runs up the ropes and takes down Vega with a super belly to belly suplex ala Kurt Angle. Castle then hits a Running Knee in the corner and follows up with the Bang A Rang to score the decisive victory in under seven minutes. Match Three: Peyton Royce & Billie Kay vs. Heidi Lovelace & Becky Lynch [20 Minute Time Limit] Peyton and Billie both do not look interested in fighting either Heidi or Becky and decide to exit the ring. Becky and Heidi hit stereo suicide dives onto them on the outside. Becky sends Billie into the ring and forearms her into the corner and gets the crowd riled up. She goes for a running forearm smash but Kay avoids it causing Becky to slam herself into the corner. Billie then connect with a straight jacket neckbreaker across her knee and covers for a two count. Kay tags in Peyton, and the two of them connect with a side russian leg sweep/dropkick combo for a two count. Peyton throws a fit in the ring, as Corey Graves says that Peyton wants revenge for Becky submitting her on Chapter One. Excalibur doesn't see how throwing a temper tantrum will get her that revenge. Peyton locks Becky in a full nelson as the crowd begins to rally behind Lynch who struggles to her feet. Becky is able to break the hold with a jaw breaker. Becky makes the hot tag to Heidi Lovelace! Heidi enters on fire taking Royce down with a flying clothesline, and Kay enters only to eat a dropkick. Heidi hits a running forearm in the corner and then bulldogs Royce out and takes down Kay with a clothesline at the same time. Heidi covers Peyton but only gets a two count. Billie distracts the referee and Heidi, allowing Royce to hit a round house kick to the back of Heidi's head. Royce covers but Heidi grabs the bottom rope before the referee's hand touches for the three count. Royce tags in Billie Kay who stomps away at Heidi in the corner, before choking her with her knee in the corner. Billie back off but connects with a running double knees into the chest of the seated Heidi in the corner for another two count. Royce tags in, and lifts Heidi up but she elbows free. Heidi unloads with a flurry of forearms and hits the ropes and ducks through another round house kick and takes Royce's head off with a Mafia Kick! Heidi crawls to Becky Lynch, but Billi e enters the ring and grabs Heidi by the ankle but takes an enziguri to the back of the head. Heidi inches closer to her corner, and Peyton grabs the foot and eats an enziguri of her own. Heidi finally makes the tag to Becky Lynch! Becky climbs to the top rope and leaps off drilling both Peyton and Billie with a double missile dropkick! Becky hits a flurry of forearms and then a standing dropkick on Kay. Becky is straight FIYAAAAH right now as she blocks a punch from Royce, and pulls her into the DisArmHer on the mat. Peyton teases tapping out as she tries reaching for the ropes. Thankfully, Billie Kay breaks up the submission by grabbing Becky and driving her shoulder first into the ring post. Heidi enters and ducks a running clothesline from Kay, and connects with the Eat Defeat on Billie who rolls to the floor. Royce takes a superkick from Heidi right into a BeXploder from Lynch for the 1...2...Kay puts Peyton's foot on the bottom rope. Heidi then dives through the ropes taking out Billie Kay on the floor! Becky argues with the referee thinking it was a three count, and then checks up on her parter. Royce then plants Becky with a legsweep DDT to pick up the upset victory in just over eight minutes. After the match, Heidi Lovelace is disappointed upon hearing the announcement of the winners from Melissa Santos. Becky lays in the center of the ring on her back, as Heidi and the referee check up on her. Becky slowly reaches her feet, but Heidi snaps and takes her back down with a running mafia kick to the face. Heidi shoves the referee away, and kicks Becky out of the ring as the crowd litter the ring in garbage. Heidi picks up a steel chair and bashes Lynch over the head with it! Referee Rudy Charles throws up the X as medical personale come running out to tend on Becky Lynch. Backstage: Mat Fitchett is outside of the building looking up at the stars hanging in the darkly lit sky. Fitchett says that last month nobody knew who he was, but he made damn sure they knew who he was after the night was over. Tonight he was humbly given a coveted spot in the X-Division Title Match tonight, and guarantees that after tonight everybody will remember him as the first ever X-Divison champion. A pissed off Davey Vega kicks open the doors to the building as the camera watches him walk in the opposite direction of the promo. Fitchett just shakes his head at the poor sportsmanship way to take a loss. Backstage: Adam Cole is backstage talking about his upcoming match against Kazuchika Okada. Cole calls Okada a Japanese Mega Star, but here in Chicago there is only one star that shines bright and that is Adam Cole Bay Bay! Match Four: Adam Cole vs. Kazuchika Okada (International Dream Match) [30 Minute Time Limit] A long stare down begins once the bell rings. The two competitors spend several moments circling one another, and scouting the opponent. Before the lock up, Adam Cole backs away into the ropes. Forcing senoir official Rudy Charles to back Okada away. Cole takes advantage by cheap shotting Okada with a kick to the mid section. Cole locks in a headlock as he screams "ADAM COLE, BAY BAY!". Okada responds by shoving Cole into the ropes and drilling him with a picture perfect standing dropkick! Okada poses to the crowd to a standing ovation, as Cole rolls to the floor to gain some space. Okada invades Cole's personal space with a diving suicide dive through the rope. The crowd scatters, forming a circle around the two competitors like they're witnesses to a highschool fight in the hallway. The two trade chops, which Kazuchika gets the better of. But Adam Cole kills his moment with a simple rake to the eyes, and sending Okada into the side of the bar. Cole looks for a piledriver on top of the bar, but Okada counters with a back body drop sending Cole all the way down to the hard concrete floor. The crowd winces at the thud of his body hitting the floor. Back in the ring, Okada follows up with a Frog Splash for a long near fall. Okada calls for the finish, looking for the Rain Maker, but Cole ducks under the Lariat and drills Okada in the jaw with a Super Kick! Cole follows up with a brain buster onto his knee for a long two count! Cole can't believe it, as he gets in the referee's face doing everything he can to convince him that it was a three count, but he fails as Rudy Charles demands the contest continue. Cole looks for another superkick, but Okada side steps it and grabs a go behind, looking for a german suplex but Cole grabs onto Rudy Charlies so that he's out of the way of him mule kicking Okada between the legs. Cole then drops Okada on the top of his head with a pile driver. Cole not satisfied, picks up the dead weight of Okada and plants him once again on the top of his dome with a second pile driver. Cole covers for another long two count. The crowd can't believe, but not as much as Adam Cole who is in the middle of his victory celebration. But Rudy Charles waves it off, telling Cole that Okada's shoulder got off the mat before his hand his the canvas for the three count. Adam Cole cockily lifts Okada off of the mat and sets him up for the Tombstone but Okada counters and dumps Cole on the top of his head with a Tombstone Piledriver of his own. Okada covers for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Both men struggle to their feet but are able to reach the referee's count of seven. The two begin exchanging elbows which end with Okada getting the better of the exchange. He wrings the arm of Adam Cole's and unrolls him for the Rain Maker but Cole avoids it with a simple thumb to the eye. He follows up with a superkick to the chin, and dumps Okada on his knees with an inverted suplex. Sydal hits his modified corner through the middle ropes, sliding onto the apron. ACH tumbles to the mat and Sydal looks for the Shooting Star Press but ACH instinctively gets his knees up. He has no time to capitilize on it, as he clutches onto his injured right knee. Sydal grabs the leg, and drives the knee into the canvas several times telling ACH to give up but he refuses. Sydal still holding onto the injured leg begins kicking ACH in the face before locking him in an Indian Death Lock. ACH reaches for the ropes but he's dead center, and Sydal begins slapping him in the face. ACH fires up and tells Matt Sydal to "Fuck Off!" The crowd chants for an ACH Speech, which he reluctantly takes the microphone. He says that studying DBZ and anime his whole life has finally paid off because he was finally able to go Super Saiyan 2 to become the first ever Revolution X-Division Champion. He promises to hold the championship with pride and defend it with honor like a god boss! Suddenly, Trevor Lee comes rushing into the ring from the audience! Sapolsky yells at him saying that he's not supposed to be here. Trevor Lee rushes past Gable Sapolsky and boots the kneeling ACH in the face! He pummels him with rights and lefts, as Sapolsky tries pulling him off. Andrew Everett then runs out through the crowd, the other man that was suppose to be in this contest but Called In Flight Problems which was clearly bullshit. Everett gets in Lee's face, helping Sapolsky pry Trevor Lee off of ACH. Everett then blasts Sapolsky with a Super Kick! Trevor Lee drops ACH with with a Fisherman Buster, and Everett follows through with a Corkscrew Shooting Star Press! They pose with the X-Division title until they're chased off by half the locker room. After several moments, ACH and Gabe Sapolsky come to and are helped to their feet. ACH asks for his title but is given the news that it was stolen, that they took it with them. Sapolsky throws a fit promising for that there will be hell to pay for them. |

Solid opener. Not too often you see a curtain jerker with a finish like that, but no complaints. Good performance by Castle. Got my eyes on him. With the post-match actions from Heidi I wouldn't be surprised if she and Becky go within a show or two. Not sure if I'd call it a dream match personally, but Cole/Okada looked like a hard hitting encounter. Cole made his intentions well know on what he wants by calling out Hero. Curious to see what the Eddie Guerrero Invitational is all about. The name alone should automaticly put it to a high standard of expectations. Wasn't sure what to expect from Fox so it didn't surprise me to see Callihan come out on top. Fox faired alright though. Seems a lot guys are going to Japan for a tour of duty. Elgin is a strong asset to you in my opinion, and one of few guys guys on your roster I can get behind easily. Hopefully his partner can do alright in Elgin's absence. Interesting choice for having Super ACH be the first X-Division Champion. With the names involved and promo spot by Sydal earlier on I could have seen Sydal being a pick to put the strap on, but no complaints with who got the nod here. Won't be surprised to see Super ACH and Matt Sydal go at it, maybe have a rivalry like Jerry Lynn and AJ Styles did back in their NWATNA day, though I'm not trying to think too far ahead. Hoping to see more sooner rather than later, to help keep momentum going. Still it's good to see you continuing. |

- Loved the intro as it felt very different to the norm. You'd clearly put thought in to it and it really set the stage for the rest of the show. - Riddle vs. Cobb tore the house down in the opening contest. The better man won and I wouldn't be opposed to a rematch down the line. - Solid victory for Dalton Castle. The finish was a sprint and the crowd seem to be behind the victor and the boys. - Women's bout was a good outing. Hard luck for Becky Lynch not just to get defeated but to get injured in the process too. Lovelace may not let it slide either. - Surprised American Alpha got as much offence as they did. Elgin and Cage have the potential to be killers in the tag ranks. They are favourite to win the belts imo. - The X Division main event was great fun and a great way to close the show. Intrigued to see what ACH can do with the gold. I'm not too familiar. It looks like Trevor Lee and Andrew Everett have declared war on the division which throws everything up in the air. - All in all, great to see you back. Your show definitely adds variety to the FBL and I am glad to see you contribute when you can. |
