RELOADED MATCH #1: Pollyanna Peppers defeated Jinny Couture via pinfall with the Vertebreaker. Nixon Newell took to the commentary desk mid-way through the bout to verbally run down everybody in the women's division. RELOADED MATCH #2: Session Moth Martina defeated Bea Priestley via DQ when Nikki Cross jumped The Queen of Sesh Style after she drilled Priestley with the Satellite DDT. The Demonic Sisterhood then laid out Martina with the Silent Nightmare. RELOADED MATCH #3: Viper & El Ligero defeated Kay Lee Ray & Noam Dar via pinfall after Viper pins the reigning EPW British Women's Championship with the Chokeslam whilst her partner fended off The Scottish Supernova with the El Booto. EPW Live #67 After Reloaded comes to an end, the broadcast for EPW Live opens with a recap of last week's episode where we saw Big Damo and Dave Finlay severe ties with The Kings of the North after a humiliating loss to the unlikely trio of Jack Gallagher and The American Wolves. We also saw Strangler Davis attack Jimmy Havoc in the backstage area, Doug Williams presented with an award for 25 years in the business interrupted by the debuting Joseph Conners who was then run off by Will Ospreay, The Grizzled Young Veterans stole a non-title win against the new EPW British Tag Team Champions Moustache Mountain, Mark Haskins and BT Gunn re-ignited their rivalry with a war of words in the locker room and Muscle, Steel & Sex Appeal earned themselves the first spot in the #1 Contender's Elimination Tag Team Match which will take place at EPW Live #70: Merseyside Mayhem. Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness sport the headsets for tonight's show which takes place in front of a sold-out crowd in Skegness. Already scheduled for the show; Mark Haskins vs. BT Gunn, Joseph Conners makes his in-ring debut, The South Pacific Power Trip take on Wolfgang & Joe Coffey in a tag team match to determine who will join Muscle, Steel & Sex Appeal in the #1 Contender's Elimination Match at EPW Live #70: Merseyside Mayhem and Jack Gallagher will be in action in our main event. The lights then slowly fade to a spotlight in the ring where Strangler Davis is sitting with his legs crossed. The London based brawler has a microphone in hand and demands silence from the crowd. They respond in exactly the opposite manner by booing and hurling abuse at him. He reminds us all that when Jimmy Havoc accepted his challenge for an EPW British Hardcore Championship Match, he also gave the challenger the right to name the stipulation. Strangler chuckles to himself whilst unravelling the bull rope that he sports around his neck. As the deranged wrestler stares at his trademark weapon, he confirms that he and Havoc will meet in a Bull Rope Match. He also intends on strangling the last breath from The King of the Deathmatch to prove that he is at the top of the food chain here in English Pro Wrestling. Davis goes to leave. AFI - I Hope You Suffer plays over the arena speakers. Out walks Jimmy Havoc from the back who looks like he means business. The reigning champ declares that the man in the ring is slowly digging himself an early grave. According to the commissioner, they will have to wait until EPW Live #70: Merseyside Mayhem to finally fight. Jimmy Havoc claims to have a surprise for Strangler Davis in the mean time though and simply tells him to be in the ring next week. Davis looks anxious by what may be in store for him. The King of the Deathmatch doesn't divulge any more information though and decides to leave after delivering one last message; 'YOU ARE F*CKING DEAD!' His music plays as he leaves. What lies ahead for Strangler Davis next week? Joseph Conners vs. Doug Williams The newest member of the English Pro Wrestling roster slowly makes his way down to the ring to a frosty reception. He gets a surprise when the music of one of the company's most prolific veterans enters as his mystery opponent. Joseph Conners interrupted Doug Williams' 25 year anniversary appreciation ceremony last week to make a statement that the future has arrived in EPW. The rookie was eventually ran off by Will Ospreay. It would appear that Williams is not ready to just let this situation lie. The 25+ year ambassador of British wrestling has a great start to the match. He takes Joseph Conners to school in a chain-wrestling master class before dropping his opponent with the Anarchy Knee. The Anarchist sets up for a Superplex. Conners manages to fend off the move with several strikes and then leaps off the second rope to land a DDT. As Williams gets up, The Righteous Killer stomps down on his back with a tonne of aggression. He then lays in to the veteran with some knife-edge chops in the corner. The tables are turned once again when Williams tosses Conners in to the turnbuckles and throws some stiff knife-edge chops of his own. He then blasts him with a Pop-Up European Uppercut in the middle with a sight to climb the top rope. Williams flies high with the intention of landing the Bomb Scare Knee Drop. His opponent rolls out of the way. Joseph Conners had the move scouted and gets a near fall following a Sidewinder Suplex. The two combatants are out on their feet. They reach their feet and begin to trade blows. Williams manages to duck a right hand and then charges Conners in to the corner. The crowd are on their feet as he pulls off the Chaos Theory. They count along with the bridged pinfall attempt. The official slams twice on the mat however Joseph Conners kicks out just before a three is made. The Anarchist looks for another route for victory. He runs forward for the Revolution DDT. Conners chucks him forward though and the Righteous Killer quickly executes the Don't Look Down in the middle of the ring. He holds on for the pin. The referee counts three. Joseph Conners picks up the win on his debut. The newcomer looks extremely pleased with himself when his arm is raised in victory. As a camera zooms in on him celebrating on the turnbuckles, he yells down that he is coming for Will Ospreay next. It looks like The Aerial Assassin might have his hands full after the impressive performance from Joseph Conners tonight. Jack Gallagher is warming up in the locker room. He will be in action in tonight's main event however his opponent's identity is yet to be revealed. The champion takes a moment to look over at his title belt before he is interrupted by the sound of someone talking through a police mega-phone. In walks Chief Deputy Dunne. The self-proclaimed Anti-Fun Police has observed over the past several weeks that the English Pro Wrestling fans have enjoyed seeing The Extraordinary Gentleman's title reign which has caused a litany of fun throughout arenas up and down the country. Dunne declares that he can not allow this. Gallagher finds this whole situation amusing. The Chief Deputy translates laughter as fun so demands him to stop immediately otherwise he will have to take action. The champ then challenges him to take action later on in the ring. William Regal has given Gallagher the opportunity to pick his own opponent tonight and after much thought he has now decided to take on Chief Deputy Dunne in the main event. Dunne sees this as the perfect chance to end the barrage of enjoyment around wrestling venues up and down the country. The segment ends with Dunne pointing his mega-phone in the face of the champ reminding him that he will see him in the ring. As he backs away out of the locker room, Gallagher shakes his head and continues on with his warm-up with a smile on his face. The South Pacific Power Trip (with Dahlia Black) vs. Joe Coffey & Wolfgang At EPW Live #70: Merseyside Mayhem, a Four Team Elimination Match will take place to crown new #1 contenders to the EPW British Tag Team Champions. Muscle, Steel and Sex Appeal scored a huge win last week over The C.C.K to secure themselves the first spot in that match. This week sees the longest reigning champions in the company's history battle a team with history. Joe Coffey and Wolfgang are no strangers where both were members of the recently imploded faction; The Tartan Rebellion. The South Pacific Power Trip have been on the cusp of getting back in to the title picture since dropping the gold back at EPW Live #55 to The Kings of the North. As the match gets started, The Iron Man and The Regulator use their strength and size advantage to dominate the competition. They seem on the same page early on. TK Cooper falls victim to an Assisted Pop-Up Powerslam which keeps him down for a two count. The Scottish powerhouses continue their onslaught. Joe Coffey spins TK round several times with the Big Swing before getting another two count with a Bridging German Suplex. Wolfgang gets a tag in. He immediately goes for a Moonsault from the second rope. This proves to be a mistake when Cooper rolls out and tags in The Kiwi Buzzsaw. Travis Banks storms in with a load of fire. He manages to fend off his larger opponent with heavy-duty strikes and pulls off a Missile Dropkick on the money for a two count for his team. With the big man off his feet, Banks uses the opportunity to lock Wolfgang in a Boston Crab. The Regulator slowly crawls to the bottom rope. TK Cooper tags himself in before he makes the rope break and blasts The Regulator with a Seated Dropkick. The move appears to have rocked Wolfgang's jaw. He then follows up with his finishing move; the Scissors Kick. TK desperately hooks the leg with a view for a three count. Joe Coffey breaks it at the last moment though. A brawl between all four men breaks out in the ring with Banks, Coffey and Wolfgang toppling out to ringside. TK Cooper takes a big risk climbing the ropes to pull off a Loverdose Corkscrew to the outside on to his opponents. The South Pacific Power Trip use this advantage to bring Wolfgang back in to the ring. With the numbers stacked in their favour, they drill The Regulator with the Combination DDT. TK Cooper hooks the leg. The official counts. Travis Banks quickly pulls off a Tope Suicida to fend off further interference from Joe Coffey as we reach three. The South Pacific Power Trip pick up the win. They secure themselves a place in the #1 Contender's Elimination Match in three weeks. After having there arms raised in victory, they leave up the aisle. Joe Coffey and Wolfgang are shoving each other at ringside in the mean time though. Their idea of a reunion did not go as planned. It isn't long until officials appear at the scene to separate the two before this situation escalates in to anything too physical. These two heavyweights definitely have some issues that need sorting though. RJ Singh is standing by for an interview backstage. He is joined by Big Damo and Dave Finlay. The Beast From Belfast dismantled his former allies The Kings of the North after they lost a six-man tag team main event last week. Dave Finlay appeared reluctant at first however soon showed his satisfaction at his monster's dissension from the former EPW British Tag Team Champions. The Irish ring veteran confirms that they have disassociated themselves from Bonesaw and Damien Corvin from here on in. From now on, it is all about Big Damo and his quest to become the EPW British Undisputed Champion. Damo then pipes up. The man beast claims that Jack Gallagher got extremely lucky last week that he left the ring without the assistance of a stretcher. He then promises that over the course of the next few weeks the #1 contender will grind the champion down to a broken heap of bones. Dave Finlay closes the interview by predicting that EPW Live #70: Merseyside Mayhem will end with the most dominating force in EPW claiming what is rightfully his. Mark Haskins vs. BT Gunn The fans are well behind Mark Haskins and the support for arguably the best all-rounder in the company grows at a massive rate every week. He intends on finally putting to bed the last remains of The Tartan Rebellion with a victory. BT Gunn seems hell-bent on proving that the faction would still be alive if he was the driving force. The Oddity kicks off the contest before the bell even sounds with a Running Dropkick which sends Haskins flying in to the corner. After several stomps, he drags his opponent up to deliver a Brainbuster followed up by a Springboard Leg Drop for a two count. The boos echo around the arena. The Skegness crowd show their disdain for BT Gunn as he yells right back at them. He lines up for his trademark Spear while Haskins slowly climbs to his feet. As Gunn charges forward, Haskins leaps over him. The 29-year old from Faringdon blasts his opponent with a Leg Lariat. This is followed by a Monkey Flip, a Dropkick and a Headscissors Takedown. BT Gunn quickly escapes the squared circle after falling to a barrage of move. The Scot tries to take a breather however Haskins runs forward for a Tope Suicida. As he gets to the ropes, Gunn sees it coming and quickly reacts with a Super Kick. The match continues back in the ring right away. The Oddity pulls off the Gunshot. He hooks the leg. The boos are even louder now but Haskins gets his shoulder up at the final moment to give the fans one final hope. Gunn then tries to humiliate his rival by locking on Haskins' own finishing move; the Low Sharpshooter. As BT grins and demands the referee pressure his enemy, Haskins slowly pushes out of the move. The fan favourite then gives BT Gunn a taste of his own medicine when he pulls off his own finisher; the Gunshot. Mark Haskins quickly transitions in to his own submission finisher; the Low Sharpshooter. It is slap bang in the middle. BT Gunn has nowhere to go. He taps out and the match is awarded to Mark Haskins. The winner's arm is raised in victory by the official however the loser is left to deal with the defeat in the most humiliating fashion. He decides to slowly leave up the aisle with his head down. The fans still don't let go there dislike for him and throw salt in the wounds by hurling abuse at Gunn. In the mean time, Mark Haskins takes to each turnbuckle to salute the Skegness crowd. As Jim Smallman enters the ring to introduce the first wrestler to the ring for our main event, he is interrupted by the sound of Zack Gibson's annoying Scouse accent. He and James Drake suddenly emerge at ringside. It isn't long before The Grizzled Young Veterans are in the ring boasting of their non-title victory against Moustache Mountain last week. This of course entitles them to an EPW British Tag Team Championship match in three weeks at EPW Live #70: Merseyside Mayhem. Liverpool's Number One takes a moment to mock Skegness and he manages to rile up the sold-out crowd in to a frenzy. James Drake also steps out to ringside to get in the faces of the fans. The mood is toxic but soon changes when Moustache Mountain strut out on to the stage. The reigning EPW British Tag Team Champions eventually reach the ring amongst chants including 'OOOOOH TRENT SEVEN ARRRRRMY' and 'TYLER BATE, BATE, BATE'. The reception is welcomed by the champs. Trent Seven takes the microphone and asks the #1 contenders whether they are going to leave the ring or whether he and his moustached associate are going to have to drag them out. Zack Gibson reacts angrily. Liverpool's Number One accepts that Moustache Mountain may have the approval of the people in run-down, disgusting, sh*thole towns like Skegness but when the titles are on the line and we rock up at his home city (and the greatest place in the universe), it is going to be a whole different story. As James Drake nods in approval, Gibson warns the champs that he is going to take great pleasure in taking their gold in front of an arena full of people singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' at the top of their lungs. He then drops the microphone as the two teams square off in the ring. The challengers pull up three fingers marking that as the time Moustache Mountain have left with the gold around their waist. We cut to one last break before the main event. Non-Title Match Jack Gallagher vs. Chief Deputy Dunne The reigning EPW British Undisputed Champion is given a warm welcome on arrival. His opponent, whose win-loss record doesn't warrant a match against the champ, was handed this match on a plate after a backstage confrontation earlier tonight. Chief Deputy Dunne has been getting on the wrong side of everyone since arriving in English Pro Wrestling. Mauro Ranallo question whether it is his time to be humbled or will he finally be taught a lesson in wrestling at it's finest by the wizard of the mat. The opening minutes consist of Jack Gallagher absolutely schooling his opponent with chain wrestling. He soon wraps him up in a Full Windsor Knot before delivering the trademark soccer kick to the buttocks. Chief Deputy Dunne springs up in pain. He is then sent back down to the mat with a European Uppercut. Things only get worse for the self-proclaimed leader of the Anti-Fun Police. Gallagher blasts him with a Headbutt, executes a Double Underhook Suplex and then takes to the ropes to pull off a Front Missile Dropkick. It becomes clear that the champ wants to humiliate arguably the most irritating wrestler on the roster on behalf of the fans. He spins him round with an Airplane Spin before nailing him with the Gentleman's Dropkick in all four corners of the ring. Dunne has to be finished now. He shows no signs of moving. Gallagher rallies up the fans ahead of the Achilles Lock. Before he can approach, Chief Deputy Dunne is dragged out to ringside and drilled with a Clothesline. The attacker is none other than the #1 contender; Big Damo. The Beast From Belfast then launches Dunne in to the steel steps. The referee is forced to end the contest via DQ at the annoyance of the champion in favour of Chief Deputy Dunne. The crowd aren't happy with the decision. They are even less happy when Dave Finlay gets hold of Jack Gallagher from behind so that Big Damo can go on the attack. The man beast takes the wind out of the champ with a Running Low Crossbody and follows up with a Running Senton. Damo then peels The Extraordinary Gentleman off the canvas, only to drop him once again with the One-Handed Electric Chair Driver. Dave Finlay laughs to himself in the corner. He watches on as his monster locks on his submission finisher; the Cu Chullain's Wrath. Finlay yells at the champ to tap. He doesn't however slowly fades away. The show comes to a close with Big Damo once again standing tall over a broken body in the ring. This destroyer could be our champion in just three weeks. |

With the tag win on Reloaded bet Viper will face KLR soon, which most likely would have happened anyway, but at least now she can use the ‘I beat the champion’ card if she chooses. Interesting choice of making the upcoming hardcore title bout a bull rope match. Big win for Joseph Conners. A win like that over the vet Williams is a statement maker for sure. Impressive comeback win for Haskins. Rough way for the night to end for the champ. Wondering how he’ll retaliate. |
