RELOADED MATCH #3: Jimmy Havoc & El Ligero defeated Joseph Conners & BT Gunn via pinfall when The Masked Sensation nails The Righteous Killer with the C4L for the three count. Next week, we will see Havoc vs. Gunn and Ligero vs. Conners with two spots in the Battle For The Briefcase up for grabs.

EPW Live #72

After Reloaded comes to a close, a video recap of last week's episode of Live airs. Marty Scurll beat Joe Coffey in the main event to earn his spot in the Battle For The Briefcase. We also saw Mark Haskins make a victorious return to the ring, Session Moth Martina pin Kay Lee Ray in a six-woman tag team match, Zack Gibson qualify for the Battle For The Briefcase and the upcoming Moustache Mountain vs. The Dunne Brothers was made in to a Tag Team Ladder Match at EPW Live #75: Ascension. Tonight's show opens up live from Norwich. Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness are on hand to welcome the viewing audience at home and run down the scheduled matches which include two Battle For The Briefcase qualifying matches, Kay Lee Ray vs. Session Moth Martina in a non-title match and Jack Gallagher takes on the returning Martin Stone with an EPW British Undisputed Championship opportunity hanging in the balance. Jim Smallman is in the ring ready to introduce the first competitors to the ring for the opening contest.

Chris Brookes vs. Kid Lykos
The two members of The C.C.K both enter to The Cramp's 'Human Fly' and are both happy to shake hands before the bell. A spot in the upcoming Battle For The Briefcase is the prize for the winner however Brookes and Lykos don't appear willing to let it get in between their long-term friendship. The match begins with some fast paced chain wrestling which favours the technician originally from Dudley. He eventually pulls Lykos up to his feet before taking him back down with a Front Facelock Drop. Brookes attempts to execute a Fisherman's Suplex however the high-flyer escapes. As Lykos lands on his feet, he runs the ropes and delivers a Handspring Back Elbow. His opponent staggers back in to the corner. The masked then follows up with a Running Forearm and a Diving European Uppercut for a one count. The two chain wrestle once again. This time the fast pace favours Lykos who pulls off a Tornado DDT. He then takes to the top rope for a high-risk move. As he dives for a Diving Crossbody, Brookes catches him to floor him with a Snap Powerslam. The taller of the two locks on an Octopus Stretch submission. The hold proves effective however Lykos manages to wriggle out before feeling the need to tap. He is worn out though and clocked with a Lariat for a two count. Brookes then sits his friend on the top rope with a Frankensteiner in mind. Just before he can execute the move, Lykos fights back with some lightning quick forearms. He then reaches his foot up to the head of Brookes to nail him with a Roundhouse Kick. Brookes falls down to the canvas as Lykos flies through the air to land on him with a 450 Splash for a near fall. The Dirty Wolf looks gutted that the move didn't end the contest. He continues on by placing his buddy in position for the 619. As he attempts to make the run, Brookes recovers and catches Lykos in mid-air. The position looks dangerous. He then hurls his opponent in to the ropes with a Turnbuckle Powerbomb. The high-flyer is then nailed with the Yakuza Kick. The leg is hooked and the referee counts to three. Chris Brookes is the winner. He has booked his place in the Battle For The Briefcase in three week's time. The referee raises his arm however he is more concerned about the condition of his tag team partner. He lifts Kid Lykos to his feet and the two immediately engage in a hug. They both put it all on the line. Tonight, Brookes reaps the rewards but it hasn't put any kind of rift between The C.C.K.

Will Ospreay has requested a moment in the ring and is welcomed to cheers from the Norwich fans. The Aerial Assassin asks for his long-time friend turned newfound enemy Mark Haskins down to the ring. At first, he doesn't get an answer. He then tells The Hellbent Anti Hero he can bring his wife down with him too because he knows that she is the one who wears the trousers. This is enough to get his attention and the couple slowly saunter down to the squared circle to the sound of Joker feat. Ginz - Purple City. There's definitely a change in pace from his usual stomp down to the ring. Mark takes his own microphone from ringside before entering the ring. His wife opts to wait out at ringside whilst the two men square off. Ospreay has watched his former friend unravel after the past couple of weeks and he himself can relate to this pattern of behaviour. As Haskins listens, The Aerial Assassin explains how a bad run of form turned him bitter and angry at everyone however it ultimately had a negative effect on his career. He doesn't want to see the same happen to someone he considered a brother. By this point, Haskins is shaking his head. He claims that this is a completely different situation. Unlike Ospreay, he isn't bitter because of any 'bad run of form or bad luck'. He has been winning matches left, right and centre and still nobody seems to be giving him the opportunities he deserves. Since the relaunch of English Pro Wrestling he has tried to climb the ladder of success by being a hero to the fans but has been forced to sit back and watch others take shortcuts to the top. From here on in, The Hellbent Anti Hero is here to do what is necessary to 'take' what should be his. He then slaps Ospreay around the face before quickly bailing from the ring in a massive show of disrespect. As Haskins and his wife back away, Ospreay yells a challenge down the microphone. He wants his former friend in the ring. His rival responds by turning his back and walking back through the curtain without answering. Tempers are at an all-time high between these two for sure.

Non-Title Match
Kay Lee Ray vs. Session Moth Martina

The Queen of Sesh Style shocked the world last week when she scored a three count win over the current champion of the women's division in six-man tag team action. This comes after a string of wins on Reloaded that has put her in the mix for a future title match. The commentary team informed us that William Regal has taken notice and another win tonight over the champ will be rewarded with a future shot at the EPW British Women's Championship. The match begins with Kay Lee Ray taking it to her opponent. She runs rings around the competition proving exactly why she is top of the tree in English Pro Wrestling's women's division. KLR continues her dominant display with a Sitout Jawbreaker followed up by a Fallaway Powerbomb for a two count. The arrogant champion then takes pleasure in choking her colourful opponent with her foot in the corner. The referee soon breaks it up and Martina responds with a Running Spear to turn the tables. A trio of clotheslines follow with a Springboard Double Knee Facebreaker straight after for a two count of her own. The Queen of Sesh Style attempts a Bronco Buster to carry on her wave of momentum but Kay Lee Ray moves at the last second leaving Martina to crash in to the turnbuckles hard. The champ delivers a Reverse Code Red for another pinfall. Jessika Carr counts two. Martina proves resilient with another kick out. Kay Lee Ray makes moves to the top rope with her finisher in mind; the Swanton Bomb. As she dives, the knees go up. The champ hits Martina's knees, springs up and is then drilled with a Dragon Suplex. The fans go nuts as Martina runs the ropes. She then pulls off the Satellite DDT. As she hooks the leg, another victory over the reigning champion must be in sight. Jessika Carr counts two. Martina is then pulled out of the ring by Noam Dar. The official is forced to end this one giving Session Moth Martina a DQ victory. She does not look like a winner here as The Scottish Supernova launches her in to the barricade before rolling her back in to the ring. He applies the Champagne Super Kneebar which causes the new #1 contender to yell out in pain. Once Kay Lee Ray has recovered, she begins to lay the boots in to Martina to add salt to the wounds. The champ then retrieves her title belt from ringside and lines up for a belt shot whilst Noam Dar holds her up. KLR looks to charge forward but Pollyanna Peppers, Laura Di Matteo and Xia Brookside turn up in the nick of time to make the save. The frustrated couple quickly flee the ring. The damage is done though as the trio attend to the hurt Session Moth Martina.

RJ Singh is in the backstage area standing by for an interview. As Martin Stone is revealed as the interviewee, you can hear the crowd explode from the arena. The Guvnor declares that he is back in English Pro Wrestling once again. He takes a moment to thank William Regal for the chance to become the #1 contender however he knows that at his age, this might be his last chance at getting a shot at the EPW British Undisputed Champion. Stone explains that he has a lot of respect for Jack Gallagher. He describes The Extraordinary Gentleman's title win and title reign as inspirational and is still impressed by the ex-champion's fighting spirit. Losing tonight is not an option for him though. The Guvnor didn't come back to be a loser but if he does lose then maybe it's time he re-evaluated where he goes from here. As Singh asks what he means by that statement, Martin Stone walks off indicating the end of the interview.

TK Cooper vs. Travis Banks
Another tag team goes one-on-one with each other with a spot in the Battle For The Briefcase at stake. This time The South Pacific Power Trip squares off and the former EPW British Tag Team Champions appear to be putting their partnership to one side. Travis Banks offers a handshake. TK Cooper opts to shake his head and shoves his partner before the bell. The two lock up at the start leading in to an exchange of holds on the canvas. The commentary team explain that these two trained together in New Zealand many years ago. They came over to the United Kingdom together to seek new opportunities which led them to English Pro Wrestling's tag team division. At EPW Live #30, they won the EPW British Tag Team Championship and broke the record of the longest reigning champions in the company's history. It appears they now have singles success in mind. The match rolls on and it only gets more aggressive. Cooper lays in some stiff knife-edge chops as well as a Slingshot Suplex. As Banks rolls to the floor, TK dives to the outside for the Loverdose Corkscrew. The Kiwi Buzzsaw avoids the move and then spears his partner in to the steel steps. The Rangitikei district native blasts his opponent with several strong kicks in the corner once they get back in the ring. He pulls off a Bridging German Suplex for the first two count of the match. Travis then executes his trademark Fisherman's Buster; the Kiwi Crusher. He makes the cover. The referee count. Cooper shows one last bit of energy with another kick out at two. Banks knows he needs to step it up a gear and sets up for his finisher; the Spinning Torture Rack Slam. Just before he slams his opponent, TK finds his feet and quickly pulls off his own finishing move; the Scissors Kick. He hooks the leg. The official counts again. Travis Banks manages to kick out just before the three. This match rolls on and the crowd are loving it. The Kiwi Buzzsaw slowly makes his way back to his feet in the corner whilst TK Cooper sizes him up. The aggressor charges forward for a Running Corner Splash however Banks counters it in to an STO in mid-air. He then transitions in to a Triangle Choke. The Kiwi Buzzsaw yanks back with reckless abandon. His opponent has nowhere to go and is forced to tap. Travis Banks picks up an important singles victory to earn himself a spot in the Battle For The Briefcase. As his arm is raised, he looks down at his fallen tag team partner. The winner once again offers his tag team partner a handshake. TK Cooper has taken this loss badly though and chooses to roll out of the ring. He then storms to the back in frustration.

RJ Singh is standing by for an interview before the start of the main event. He is backstage with Big Damo who has his title gold draped over his shoulder. The Beast From Belfast doesn't think either man in the upcoming #1 contender's match is worthy of challenging him for his EPW British Undisputed Championship. He reminds us that he has already squashed Jack Gallagher like a bug to take the title from him. He also calls Martin Stone a washed up, loud mouth, cockney has-been who has no business being in a main event in 2017. In fact, he states that he will prove his point by walking down that aisle, crash this utter sham of a main event and ensure both men leave Norwich on a stretcher. He begins to walk up the corridor towards the gorilla position. As the champion reaches the curtain, he is jumped by Martin Stone who was getting ready to make his entrance. The Guvnor unleashes punch after punch after punch. Big Damo goes to fight back but is caught short when Jack Gallagher joins the fray. The Extraordinary Gentleman hands his upcoming opponent a steel chair. They both proceed to batter the man beast out on to the stage until he falls to his knees. Gallagher and Stone band together to throw Damo off the stage. The 300lbs+ monster flies through the air and through a table down below as the fans go nuts. A statement has been made by the two potential title challengers. They slowly make their way up the aisle whilst sizing one another up. It appears that these two men saw the potential risk to their big opportunity and decided to unite to eliminate it.

#1 Contender's Match
Jack Gallagher vs. Martin Stone

Big Damo is stretchered out whilst this match begins. The winner of this match will face the champion at EPW Live #75: Ascension. They may have just teamed up to fend off the interfering party however all allegiances are off the table now. Martin Stone avoids any chain wrestling and begins the match with some heavy strikes. After laying in some heavy duty forearms, Jack Gallagher responds with a European Uppercut followed by a Headbutt which sits The Guvnor down on his arse. The Extraordinary Gentleman follows up with a Seated Dropkick. With Stone on the mat, this allows Gallagher to tie him up in to an Over-Rotated Delfin Clutch. He then blasts his opponent in the backside with a Running Soccer Kick. The experienced London brawler appears to be already running low on energy. The younger, quicker technician has a lot less rough edges and finds himself locked in a Crucifix Armbar. Stone refuses to tap though. He finds the strength to charge Gallagher in to the turnbuckles to break the hold. The Guvnor then turns the tables in a big way by delivering a Lou Thesz Press. After reigning down with several mounted punches, he pulls up the ex-champion to execute a Rope-Hung DDT for a near fall. A European Uppercut, a Running Elbow Drop and a Powerbomb later and Gallagher is still not staying down. The Guvnor now takes it up a gear when he applies his finishing hold; the Arm-Trap Crossface. He pulls back the head of his opponent but The Extraordinary Gentleman finds the strength to drag himself to the bottom rope to break the hold. This leaves Stone with limited ideas. He has thrown almost everything at his opponent. He charges forward for a Running Lariat. As he reaches Gallagher, he is tossed in to the corner and blasted with the Gentleman's Dropkick. The former champion takes no time to lock on the Achilles Lock. He now has his own finishing submission hold applied. The two men are in the middle of the ring but Martin Stone still struggles around for a way out. He can't find one. The Guvnor taps. Jack Gallagher picks up the victory and earns his rematch at the EPW British Undisputed Championship. As he takes to the turnbuckles to celebrate, the loser sits in the middle of the ring with his head in his hands, He eventually does the decent thing and shakes the hand of his opponent to show a mark of respect. Gallagher goes to raise his arm but Stone angrily walks away. He leaves the ring with his head down and heads to the back. The show ends with Jack Gallagher continuing his celebrations after a great main event.

Is the 5-series going to be a Reloaded only thing? Nothing against that if it that is the case.

Good encounter between Lykos and Brookes. Hopefully all is kosher between them as it seems.

With Martina's win kind of wondering when she'll face KLR next. If what I saw in Reloaded is true we know someone else will face the champion on episode #80. In the mean time though it is good to see she has some back up on this night. Not sure if it will be enough to deal with Noam Dar from doing the same again.

Rough loss for Cooper. Hopefully his and Banks can be quick to mend things.

Didn't expect Damo to be literally tossed aside like that. Got the feeling he'll attempt to hospitalize at least one of two involved the first chance he gets. Looks like the rematch between him and Gallagher is now official. Nothing wrong with Martin Stone challenging for the shot, he fought well.
