RELOADED MATCH #1: Session Moth Martina & Dave Mastiff defeated Kay Lee Ray & Noam Dar via pinfall in an Intergender Tag Team Match when The Bastard from the Black Country with a Turnbuckle Powerbomb followed up by a Cannonball on The Scottish Supernova. The Queen of Sesh Style fended off the EPW British Women's Champion with a Tope Suicida whilst the pinfall was made.

RELOADED MATCH #2: Strangler Davis defeated Joe Coffey via referee stoppage to retain the EPW British Hardcore Championship when he ducked the Discus Lariat, wrapped a steel chair around the head of the challenger and then choked him out with the Stranglehold. After the bell, the retaining champion grabbed the chair once again and continued to batter his downed opponent in the ring.

RELOADED MATCH #3: Marty Scurll defeated Wolfgang via submission after forcing The Regulator to tap to his finishing hold; the Crossface Chickenwing. The Villain took to the microphone after the match had ended and promised not just to win the upcoming Battle For The Briefcase Ladder Match but to also cash it in on the same night to reclaim the gold.

EPW Live #73

After Reloaded comes to a close, the Live broadcast begins with a recap video of last week's episode where Jack Gallagher defeated Martin Stone to become the #1 contender after the two threw the reigning champion Big Damo off the stage and through a table earlier on in the show. We also saw Chris Brookes of The C.C.K and The South Pacific Power Trip's Travis Banks qualify for the Battle For The Briefcase Ladder Match, Session Moth Martina score a DQ victory over Kay Lee Ray after Noam Dar laid out The Queen of Sesh Style and Will Ospreay unsuccessfully tried to work out his issues with Mark Haskins which resulted in his former friend giving him a disrespectful slap across the face. Tonight's show comes to you live from Leicester. Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness welcome the viewing audience at home to the show and run down the scheduled bouts for the evening which include two Battle For The Briefcase qualifying matches, six-man tag team action and ½ of the EPW British Tag Team Champions Tyler Bate vs. ½ of the #1 contenders Chief Deputy Dunne in our main event. Martin Stone also has an announcement to make in front of the live crowd later on in the broadcast. Jim Smallman takes to the ring to introduce the competitors down to the ring for the opening contest.

El Ligero vs. Joseph Conners
Two weeks ago, The Righteous Killer was put on his arse after attempting to bully the Mexican high-flyer at ringside following a match. Tensions rose even more last week when El Ligero managed to pin Joseph Conners in a tag team match on Reloaded. This week they go one-on-one in singles action with a spot in the Battle For The Briefcase Ladder Match at stake. Conners takes a methodical approach in the early stages. He works on the leg of Ligero and Nigel McGuinness believes his intention is to keep the high-flyer grounded. The tactic seems to pay off when The Masked Sensation's leg buckles when attempting a Handspring Elbow. The Nottingham based grappler locks on a Figure-Four Leg Lock which appears to put his foreign counterpart in a considerable amount of pain. The former EPW British Tag Team Champion debates whether to tap or not. He eventually finds the strength to get to the ropes. Conners then drags him up to attempt the Hammerlock Cradle DDT however Ligero escapes his clutches and pulls off a Sunset Flip Powerbomb for a near fall. He slowly climbs the ropes with a Diving Splash off the top. It takes him time to get there though due to the prior injury to his leg. Once he jumps, The Righteous Killer rolls to safety. El Ligero hits the mat hard. His opponent takes advantage and drops him with the Hammerlock Cradle DDT. He then hooks the leg. The official counts three. Joseph Conners picks up the victory and books himself a place in the Battle For The Briefcase. After having his arm raised, he isn't interested in celebrating in front of the crowd. He leaves straight for the back with a grin on his face.

RJ Singh is standing by in the backstage area for an interview. He is joined by the trio of Mark Haskins and The Grizzled Young Veterans who will take on Will Ospreay and The C.C.K in six-man tag team action later on. Zack Gibson begins the segment by ripping the microphone from RJ's clutches and reminding us that he is Liverpool's Number One and is soon to be recognised as EPW's number one when he wins the Battle For The Briefcase Ladder Match and becomes the new EPW British Undisputed Champion. After throwing the microphone back at the interviewer, Singh asks Mark Haskins how he feels about stepping in to the ring with the man who he disrespectfully slapped across the face last week; Will Ospreay. The Hellbent Anti-Hero declares that it will be him teaching The Aerial Assassin a lesson in respect and will show him that he made a huge mistake in speaking down to him last week. Haskins, Gibson and Drake shove their way past Singh to put an end to this interview.

Jimmy Havoc vs. BT Gunn
Both of these men are looking to get themselves back to winning ways after a dip in form as of late. Jimmy Havoc lost his EPW British Hardcore Championship to Strangler Davis in a Bull Rope Match. BT Gunn is also yet to pick up a victory since splitting from The Tartan Rebellion and determined to change his fortunes. A spot in the Battle For The Briefcase hangs in the balance too which could be the platform that elevates either one of these men back to the top of the card. Gunn attacks Havoc before the bell to snatch some early offence. After laying The King of the Goths out with a Spear, the angry Scot nails him with a Bridging German Suplex for a two count. He then attempts a Savate Kick however it is caught and Havoc counters in to a Discus Elbow Smash. He follows up with a Double Foot Stomp before locking on a Sleeper Hold. The Oddity begins to fade. He manages to sandwich his opponent between himself and the turnbuckles to break the hold though. As Havoc staggers out from the corner, he is drilled in to the canvas with a Brainbuster which puts Gunn in pole position. The aggressor springs off the ropes with the Gunshot in mind. The Deathmatch Icon manages to reverse it in to another Elbow Smash to the back of the head. The tables have been turned. He picks BT up off the canvas, cradles him in a back-to-belly position and nails his finisher; the Go Home Driver. The King of the Goths holds on for the pinfall. The referee counts three. Jimmy Havoc secures himself the win and a spot in the Battle For The Briefcase Match. He has his arm raised whilst the fans cheer. The six men in the match in two weeks are now set; Marty Scurll, Zack Gibson, Chris Brookes, Travis Banks, Joseph Conners and now Jimmy Havoc. BT Gunn is not happy about this loss one bit. He jumps the winner of the match from behind. The Oddity's attack is short lived though when he is tossed out to ringside by the victim in quick fashion.

Chief Deputy Dunne is warming up with squats in the back for his main event match. Instead of counting each squat, he is saying 'no fun' for each one. Moustache Mountain enter the locker room chuckling to themselves. They shake their heads and Tyler Bate brands the self-proclaimed leader of The Anti-Fun Police an a-grade geek. His partner Trent Seven then pipes up with a more serious matter in mind. He is still angry that Dunne saw fit to cost him his shot at the EPW British Hardcore Championship last week on Reloaded. The response is simply a smug grin and Dunne stating that Moustache Mountain adding to their collection of gold would be 'too...much...funaaah!'. Trent sarcastically asks if that is really the best catchphrase he can come up with whilst his partner laughs. Dunne then turns and tells his opponent for later to laugh all he likes because he will be taken in to custody by The Anti-Fun Police in tonight's main event. Tyler just cringes. As the champions leave the locker room, Bate tells Seven that he won't have an issue picking up the win if Dunne's wrestling is as horrible as his catchphrases.

Six-Man Tag Team Match
Mark Haskins (with Vicky Haskins) & The Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Will Ospreay & The C.C.K

Chris Brookes booked his place in the Battle For The Briefcase with a win over his tag team partner Kid Lykos last week. There doesn't seem to be any animosity between he and his ally in the aftermath of their one-on-one bout. Will Ospreay also seems to be on the same page as the duo too. The Grizzled Young Veterans rile up the crowd on their way down to the ring when Zack Gibson yells at the crowd proving to be a human heat machine wherever he goes. Mark Haskins has his wife in his corner again. Since turning up by her husband's side, Vicky Haskins has been the catalyst to a definite change in attitude for The Hellbent Anti-Hero. He starts off in the ring trading holds with Chris Brookes. The 6ft 4in technician manages to get the better of the angry Oxford native. He then tags in Kid Lykos, holds Haskins in position and The Dirty Wolf springs off the ropes to pull off an Assisted Lionsault. The fans in Leicester are well behind The C.C.K. The masked high-flyer gets the first two count of the match with a Standing Shooting Star Press. His attempt at a Brainbuster is unsuccessful when Haskins escapes and blasts him from behind with a Running Clothesline. As Lykos tries to get up, he is met with several slaps to the back of the head and a Spinning Facebuster. Mark Haskins takes the chance to throw his opponent in to the turnbuckles. He tags in Zack Gibson who relentlessly stomps in to the smallest wrestler in the match. Liverpool's Number One follows up with a Running Face Wash. James Drake is then tagged in. Mr. Mayhem takes his time working down The Dirty Wolf even more. He goes to hook him for his finisher; the Sit-Out DDT. Kid Lykos struggles free and then gets the hot tag. Will Ospreay springs in with a Springboard Forearm Smash. Drake staggers up to attempt a Vertical Suplex however is put back down with a Stunner reversal. As Gibson sees his tag team partner in trouble, he charges back in to the rescue but is blasted with a Roundhouse Kick to the jaw. He stumbles back in to James Drake and the two take a tumble to the outside. Mark Haskins managed to sneak a tag however delays coming in to the ring. He stands back and watches as The C.C.K pull off in-synch Tope Suicidas to The Grizzled Young Veterans. Without the knowledge that a tag had been made, Will Ospreay rallies up the crowd. His attention is diverted to Vicky Haskins who is now up on the apron. The Aerial Assassin tells her to get down however is quickly rolled up by his arch-rival from behind. The Hellbent Anti-Hero has Ospreay rolled up in a School Boy. The referee counts. Just as Ospreay tries to kick out, his opponent grabs the rope. The official doesn't see and counts the three. Mark Haskins steals the win for his team. He also now has a controversial victory over his former friend turned bitter enemy. The heels take no time in the ring to celebrate. They retreat up the aisle before finally having their arms raised on the stage.

Once the ring is cleared, Black Label Society's 'Counterfeit God' blares across the speakers to signify it is time for Martin Stone's big announcement. The Guvnor stomps down the aisle however doesn't quite seem himself. After being passed a microphone, he informs us that last week was a big week for him. Stone vowed to return to the ring by becoming the #1 contender and stated that losing was not an option. He tells us that he realised that Jack Gallagher was the better man. If he can no longer be the better man, he doesn't think he has what it takes to be here in English Pro Wrestling. The crowd do not believe this to be true though. The multi-time champion then reveals that it might be time he hangs up the boots and retire. Before he can officially announce it, 'Toreador' plays and out comes Jack Gallagher. He takes to the ring with pace already with a microphone in hand. The Extraordinary Gentleman agrees with the people. He believes that The Guvnor has years left in the tank and believes that he can come back from this. It was only one match. Gallagher urges his colleague not to throw away his 15 year career because of one loss. As the people chant 'please don't go', the veteran looks around. Stone appreciates the kind words and chants however explains that he doesn't want his career to just fade away. Gallagher then challenges him to prove it. He bravely puts his #1 contendership on the line again next week. Stone accepts but vows to retire if he can't walk out victorious. The two shake hands in the ring to end the segment.

Tyler Bate vs. Chief Deputy Dunne
The main event consists of half of the EPW British Tag Team Championship ladder match between Moustache Mountain and The Dunne Brothers in two weeks at EPW Live #75: Ascension. The majority of the match is dominated by Tyler Bate. The Iron Master bests Chief Deputy Dunne in some grappling down on the mat. The self-proclaimed leader of The Anti-Fun Police also falls victim to a Feint Hand Raise in to a Sucker Punch, an Airplane Spin, an Exploder Suplex and a Standing Shooting Star Press resulting in a near fall early on. Dunne does manage to swing the momentum in his favour when he rakes the eyes of his opponent. After a warning from the referee, he goes on the offensive. The aggressor blasts the champion with a Superkick before following up with a Teardrop Suplex for a two count of his own. He takes great delight in stomping on the 20-year old rookie and then approaches for a Leaping Reverse STO. Tyler Bate holds on to the rope to counter the move. Chief Deputy Dunne drops hard to the canvas. He is then forced to endure a Rebound Lariat before Bate takes to the top rope for the Spiral Tap. The fans are ready for a high-risk move. Out of nowhere, a fan jumps the barricade and holds on to the foot of Tyler so he can't jump. This gives Dunne the time to find his feet, run up the ropes and pull his opponent down with a Belly-To-Belly Suplex. Security wrestle with the hooded fan at ringside. His identity is soon revealed to be Pete Dunne. Nobody is surprised. Trent Seven charges down to then confront The Bruiserweight. It isn't long before the two ex-allies are fighting whilst security tries to break it up. Meanwhile in the ring, the self-proclaimed leader of The Anti-Fun Police has nailed Tyler Bate with the Springboard DDT. He makes the cover. The referee counts three. Chief Deputy Dunne pulls off a shock win. He soon rolls out of the ring to join in the brawl before the official can raise his arm in victory. The Dunne Brothers launch The Bombardier of Battery over the announce table. They both then flee through the crowd when William Regal runs down with more security. Pete Dunne had no right to invade but he did anyway. The show closes with an angry commissioner yelling at the security team for not having more control of the situation.

Sounded like a painful ending for Coffey. Maybe Davis should switch to decaf...no?...moving on.

Havoc needed this one. Rough luck for Gunn. Hopefully things can change for him before it's too late.

Nice backstage segment with the Deputy and Moustache Mountain. If it was a catch phrase contest MM would have been given the DQ win. At least nothing physical broke out during the segment.

Unsure of what what to think about Gallagher risking his title match to convince Stone not to retire. I understand the motive, but got a feeling no matter the out come the EPW faithful will be disappointed one way or another.

The Deputy stole one tonight (can't go wrong with the 'hooded fan' gimmick though). Had a feeling Pete would show up at some point before the tag match and become a factor.
