RELOADED MATCH #1: Dahlia Black defeated Jinny Couture via pinfall in their Best Of Five Series to tie the score at 1-1 when she nailed her opponent with the Dark Side of the Moonsault. The third match of the series will take place on next week's episode of Reloaded. RELOADED MATCH #2: Dave Mastiff defeated Noam Dar via pinfall after The Bastard from the Black Country launched the Scottish Supernova in to the turnbuckles with a Running Powerbomb and then followed it up with the Running Cannonball in to the corner for the three. RELOADED MATCH #3: Muscle, Steel & Sex Appeal defeated TK Cooper & Kid Lykos via pinfall when Nathan Cruz and Josh Bodom nailed The Dirty Wolf with the Terminal Velocity. Cooper and Lykos joined forces tonight due to their usual partners competing on the main show later. EPW Live #74 After Reloaded comes to a close, a video recap of last week's episode of Live airs. Pete Dunne managed to gain access to the building during the main event to help his brother Chief Deputy Dunne score a singles victory over Moustache Mountain's Tyler Bate. We also saw Jimmy Havoc and Joseph Conners qualify for the Battle For The Briefcase, Mark Haskins and The Grizzled Young Veterans defeat Will Ospreay and The C.C.K in a six-man tag team match and Jack Gallagher stopped Martin Stone from announcing his retirement with one final opportunity at his own guaranteed title shot. This week's show takes place in Derby. Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness are on hand to welcome the viewing audience at home from behind the announce desk and run down the scheduled card; six-man tag team action featuring the six competitors in next week's Battle For The Briefcase, Strangler Davis defends his EPW British Hardcore Championship, Session Moth Martina takes on Nixon Newell and Jack Gallagher vs. Martin Stone with the #1 contendership at stake. The Guvnor has also promised that if he can't pull out the victory in the main event, he will retire. Moustache Mountain will also address the English Pro Wrestling fans ahead of their title defence in a ladder match next week against The Dunne Brothers. Jim Smallman enters the ring to introduce the competitors to the ring for the opening contest. Six-Man Tag Team Match Marty Scurll, Joseph Conners & Zack Gibson vs. Jimmy Havoc, Travis Banks & Chris Brookes All six of these men will compete in the Battle For The Briefcase next week at EPW Live #75: Ascension with the winner receiving a title shot whenever they choose to take it. Each wrestler gets an individual entrance to the ring. Marty Scurll gets a mixed response on his way down the aisle. Joseph Conners is targeted with boos. The heat gets nuclear when Zack Gibson enters with a microphone in hand. He reminds the crowd that he is not just Liverpool's Number One but is soon to be recognised as English Pro Wrestling's number one when he climbs that ladder, grabs the briefcase and then cashes in his shot to become the champion. After finally stepping in to the ring, the people cheer The C.C.K's Chris Brookes down to the ring. Travis Banks gets a similar reaction when he stomps down the ramp. Jimmy Havoc then gets the biggest pop of all when he walks down to the sound of AFI's 'I Hope You Suffer'. The heels isolate Chris Brookes in the early stages when Joseph Conners targets the foot. The Righteous Killer applies a Stretch Muffler whilst Zack Gibson tags himself in and then stomps on the exposed leg. The former EPW British Tag Team Champion teases his other two opponent by repeatedly stopping Brookes from making the tag. The technician from Liverpool's arrogance eventually catches up with him when he is clocked with a Step-Up Enzuiguri. Jimmy Havoc is tagged in and immediately goes on the offensive. Gibson is blasted with a Discus Elbow Smash. He staggers back in the corner to allow The King of the Goths to pull of a High Knee to his cornered opponent followed by a wrist-lock transitioned in to a Short Arm Lariat for a near fall. Havoc then takes to the ropes to attempt a Diving Double Foot Stomp. As he dives, his opponent rolls away and tags in Marty Scurll. The Villain takes advantage by deliver a Brainbuster on to his knee for a two count for his team. The inaugural champion of the modern era lifts his opponent for the Bird of Prey however Havoc wriggles free and clocks Marty in the back of the head with another Discus Elbow Smash. As Scurll falls to the canvas, Travis Banks is tagged in and The Kiwi Buzzsaw makes an immediate impact by executing a Springboard Front Dropkick. The expert striker from New Zealand blasts his opponent with several kicks in the corner. He tries to follow up with the Kiwi Crusher. Conners and Gibson quickly rush the ring to stop him in his tracks though and then Banks' partner join the fray too. The babyfaces manage to send the illegal heels out to ringside. Brookes and Havoc then fend them off with a Suicide Dive each. Whilst this is going down, the referee has a short lapse in confrontation. Travis tries to lift Marty for his finisher; the Spinning Torture Rack Slam. The Villain manages to score a kick to the groin as the official's back is turned. Once the referee turns around, he locks on the Crossface Chickenwing. The New Zealander is dragged down to the canvas. He can't hang on for long and taps out before his partners can get back in to the ring. Marty Scurll, Joseph Conners and Zack Gibson pick up the victory. The trio decide not to celebrate together though. The spotlight is on The Villain who gets his arm raised as we head to our first break. When we return, Moustache Mountain have made their way out to the ring. The fans in Derby are happy to see the champions however they are out here to deal with some business. Trent Seven takes us to the video screen where we are shown a replay of what went down at the conclusion of last week's main event. Pete Dunne rushed through the crowd and helped his brother Chief Deputy Dunne defeat his co-champion Tyler Bate. The Dunne Brothers then attacked The Bombardier of Battery himself after the bell before being run off by a fleet of security. Trent and Tyler don't intend on waiting until next week. They challenge The Dunne Brothers to come out from wherever they're hiding and fight them in the ring right now. The fans want to see this brawl go down. Their hopes may come true when 'Bruiserweight' by CFO$ is heard across the arena. Nigel McGuinness wants to know how the hell the ex-champion managed to even get in the building. Out walks Chief Deputy Dunne on his own though sporting a devious grin. The self-proclaimed leader of The Anti-Fun Police informs us that his brother is not here tonight. He continues by informing the champions that him coming down to the ring and fighting them will see a serious increase in 'FUNAAAH' for the people here in attendance tonight which is against everything he stands for. Boos echo around the venue when Dunne turns on the deafening siren on top of his megaphone. Seven takes to the microphone yet again to tell his rival that if he won't come to the ring to fight them then they will bring the fight to him. As Moustache Mountain steps out of the ring, Chief Deputy Dunne sprints through the curtain. The champs find amusement in the cowardice of their challenger next week. They begin to walk up the aisle but look up at the video screen where a camera has caught up with the self-proclaimed leader of The Anti-Fun Police who runs out of the back door of the arena and up the road. He will have nowhere to run next week when he challenges for the EPW British Tag Team Championships next week in a ladder match alongside his brother. EPW British Hardcore Championship Strangler Davis © vs. El Ligero The champion is armed with a steel chair without the knowledge of who his opponent is this evening. Strangler Davis is surprised when El Ligero is revealed as his challenger. The London based brawler laughs as The Masked Sensation makes his way down the ring. He doesn't see him as a threat. The high-flyer hops up to the apron and springboards off the top rope. As he reaches the champ, he is waffled with the steel chair to send him down to the canvas. Davis repeatedly blasts his grounded opponent with the weapon multiple times just like he did to Joe Coffey last week on Reloaded. The challenger lays on the canvas motionless. He shows no signs of movement when the champion applies the Stranglehold. The referee stops the match after just over a minute. Strangler Davis picks up the convincing win to defend his gold. After he shoves the official away as he tries to raise his arm in victory, he demands a microphone from ringside. Strangler yells to the locker room that he wants some real competition. He doesn't think anybody has even been close to beating him since winning the EPW British Hardcore Championship. As he challenges any man from the backstage area to come on down and challenge him, we hear no answer for a good thirty seconds. Davis begins to laugh before asking us if this so called hardcore division even exists. The lights then cut out for a moment. We can still hear the champion demanding his spotlight. The lights come back on once again and he turns to see Sabu standing on top of a ladder with his finger pointing up to the sky. The Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal, Death-Defying Maniac leaps at the champion with a Diving Crossbody. As Strangler recovers, the extreme icon grabs the ladder from ringside and blasts him with it. This causes the EPW British Hardcore Champion to fall through the ropes to the outside. He wants no part of Sabu. Davis bails to the back but has left his belt in the ring. The Human Highlight Reel picks it up himself before raising it above his head. The fans in Derby are going ballistic. Sabu has arrived in the hardcore division and it appears he is gunning straight for the gold. Travis Banks enters the locker room still holding his neck following his six-man tag team defeat via submission at the hands of Marty Scurll. The Villain forced him to tap to the Crossface Chickenwing and it seems that The Kiwi Buzzsaw is still feeling the effects from the hold. He is then approached by his tag team partner TK Cooper who he beat to qualify for the Battle For The Briefcase a couple of weeks ago. After their match, Cooper refused to shake the victor's hand and the two reportedly haven't spoken since. There is a tense stand-off between the former EPW British Tag Team Champions first of all. This is until their valet Dahlia Black turns up. She has an in-ring career of her own nowadays however doesn't seem too happy about the rapidly deteriorating alliance between her two associates. Dahlia reminds them that the three of them came all the way to the United Kingdom from New Zealand to achieve a dream. She then says that the trio started this journey together and they need to continue it together as well. TK Cooper listens to his girlfriend closely. He holds his hand out before apologising for his actions two weeks ago. Travis Banks is happy to accept and they settle their issue with a handshake. As they all smile, TK tells his friend that he believes that he can win the Battle For The Briefcase next week as the segment ends. Session Moth Martina vs. Nixon Newell The Queen of Sesh Style has been on a roll as of late. After stringing together multiple victories on Reloaded, she went on to pin reigning champion Kay Lee Ray in a six-man tag team match to earn a shot at the EPW British Women's Championship next week. Last week though she was the victim of a Nova-Roller courtesy of the associate of the champ; Noam Dar. Pollyanna Peppers, Laura Di Matteo and Xia Brookside tried to make the save but they were too late. Tonight she faces another tough test in the form of Nixon Newell. The Welsh Destroyer has dropped down the card since her days as the champion and is determined to get a win over the #1 contender to prove that she should still be in contention for the gold. Her experience shines through early on as she dominates the opening minutes of the contest. Newell executes a Vertical Suplex, a Springboard Leg Drop and then locks on an Abdominal Stretch. Martina manages to counter the submission. She pulls off a Hip Toss before nailing a Clothesline and a Dropkick. Nixon escapes the ring however is wiped out with a Tope Suicida to pop the crowd. The Queen of Sesh Style has truly turned the tables. The former champion gets a shoulder up though at two when they get back in the ring. As The Welsh Destroyer cowers in the corner, Martina charges forward for a Bronco Buster. The move is unsuccessful when Nixon manages to roll to safety. She takes advantage of her vulnerable challenger and executes a Bridging Fall Away Slam for a near fall. Newell then drags Martina off the canvas with her finishing move in mind. She gets her in position for the Front Flip Piledriver. The Queen of Sesh Style counters it with a Back Body Drop. The #1 contender runs the ropes with her finisher in mind; the Satellite DDT. Suddenly, Noam Dar has climbed up on to the apron. We've got company. The referee orders The Scottish Supernova to the back. Kay Lee Ray slides in at the other side of the ring, grabs her arch-enemy and nails her with the Gory Bomb. The champion then throws Nixon Newell on top of the #1 contender before quickly stepping out to ringside. Noam Dar then drops back down to the floor and referee Steve Lynskey turns back round to count the three. Nixon Newell scores the win. As she rolls to the floor, Kay Lee Ray and Noam Dar retreat up the aisle having had the last laugh over their rival. Session Moth Martina slowly finds her feet with an angry look on her face. We head to our final break with her staring a hole through the champion from the ring. RJ Singh is standing by in the backstage area for an interview. His guest is Will Ospreay. The Aerial Assassin has his attention fully on former friend Mark Haskins. The two will go one-on-one at EPW Live #75: Ascension to finally settle their differences. He claims that he has lost his patience with The Hellbent Anti-Hero and tells him that he isn't going to sit back and be made a fool of. Apparently Haskins has had his last chance. Ospreay is pulling no punches next week when they go to war. Vicky Haskins soon appears on the scene. The wife of Ospreay's newfound enemy informs the interviewee that if he intends on beating her husband then he's going to be severely disappointed. Will asks how this rivalry even started seeing as she wears the trousers in the Haskins marriage. She begins to shake her head. This distraction is enough to give Mark Haskins an opportunity to jump his former friend from behind. After stomping down on Ospreay, The Hellbent Anti-Hero locks on the Low Sharpshooter. RJ Singh calls out for some help however the hold is released before anyone can make it to the scene. Mark and Vicky Haskins barge past the interviewer on their way out having fired the last shot ahead of the bout next week. #1 Contender's Match Jack Gallagher vs. Martin Stone (If Stone loses, he will retire) These two went one-on-one two weeks ago where The Extraordinary Gentleman picked up a submission victory leaving The Guvnor questioning his future. Last week, Jack Gallagher stopped Martin Stone from hanging up the boots and retiring from the ring. He bravely put up his guaranteed title match to give the veteran one last shot at proving to himself that he can still go. The match begins with some chain wrestling. This favours Gallagher however Stone proves he can hang by going hold for hold with his younger opponent. The legend of the EPW ring pulls off a rough European Uppercut as they both find their feet. Gallagher responds with one of his own. They begin trading strikes on their feet before both running the ropes and colliding with clotheslines. As they climb to their feet again, 'Beast' by Neil McDougall plays to signify that Big Damo is here. The EPW British Undisputed Champion stomps down the aisle with wide eyes. He has issues with both men after they threw him off the stage to land through a table a couple of weeks back. The Beast From Belfast has now returned for some revenge. The 300lbs+ monster blasts both men with a Double Clothesline once he hits the ring. After launching the #1 contender in to the turnbuckle with a Lawn Dart, he throws Stone out to the floor at ringside. The referee ends this match as a double DQ which gets boos from the audience. The jeers get louder when Damo puts The Guvnor through the announce table with a Powerbomb. He then spits down at the grounded 15+ year veteran. As he turns, Gallagher jumps from the top rope on to him with the Diving Senton. The Irish thug catches him and launches him once again but this time in to the ring post. He then throws the challenger back in to the squared circle. The Extraordinary Gentleman falls victim to a Rolling Fireman's Carry and a Running Senton. The former champ lies motionless on the canvas. Damo isn't done yet. He applies the Cu Chullain's Wrath to his lifeless enemy to suck the life out of him. As medical staff roll a stretcher down to ringside to attend to Martin Stone, referees are hesitant to step in to the ring to approach the attacker. He eventually releases the hold. The show closes with the EPW British Undisputed Champion standing tall. Jack Gallagher will still challenge for the gold next week as it stands but will he be in any kind of condition to do so? Also how does Martin Stone's career status stand after the controversial result of this match? |

Got a feeling the best of five series could go the distance with how it's been so far. Surprise pairing of Cooper and Lykos given the circumstances. CDD's bit may have out ranked the infamous RTC in annoyance. At the very least the time for talk will end next week. Not much of a 'match' with Davis retaining. Though with that being said it was a good way to debut Sabu. Davis got what he wanted. Hopefully Sabu has enough in the tank to give Davis a good run. As strange as it may sound, good to see Dahlia be the voice of reason improve the mood between the group. O'Connor made a loud and clear statement tonight that he's not one to be fucked with. Even though Stone didn't win I wouldn't say he lost either. Though with him being moved to a legends spot I got the feeling it may be some time before he steps in the ring again. |
