RELOADED MATCH #1: Marty Scurll defeated James Drake (with Zack Gibson) via submission with the Crossface Chickenwing. After the bell rang, Gibson jumped Scurll from behind. The Villain managed to turn the tables though and choke out Liverpool's Number One with his finishing hold. RELOADED MATCH #2: Nathan Cruz (with Josh Bodom) defeated Kid Lykos (with Chris Brookes) via pinfall with the One Night Stand for the three count. This gives Muscle, Steel & Sex Appeal their second singles victory over The C.C.K. The two teams face off on next week's episode of Reloaded. RELOADED MATCH #3: Dahlia Black defeated Jinny Couture via pinfall after executing an Avalanche Frankensteiner and the Dark Side of the Moonsault to win their Best Of Five Series and earn herself a shot at the EPW British Women's Championship at EPW Live #80: The Only Way Is Essex. EPW Live #77 After Reloaded ends, the Live broadcast begins with a video recap of last week's episode which saw Jimmy Havoc defeat Sabu in a brutal hardcore main event after Mark Haskins refused to compete following his controversial loss to Will Ospreay the week before. We also saw Martin Stone & Will Ospreay beat Strangler Davis & Joseph Conners in tag team action ahead of their 4 Corners Match this week, The Glaswegian Assembly convincingly joined the tag ranks with a victory over The Grizzled Young Veterans, EPW British Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray was pinned by 'the mysterious masked woman' El Motho in an intergender tag team match and Pete Dunne forfeited his newly won EPW British Tag Team Championship after receiving the only reason he wanted possession of the gold in the first place; another English Pro Wrestling contract. Tonight's show takes places in Northampton's Sixfields Stadium in front of a sold-out crowd of 10,000. Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness and Joe Hendry usher in the new year with a warm welcome and run down the scheduled card for the evening; Kay Lee Ray defends the EPW British Women's Championship against the 'mysterious masked woman' who pinned her last week El Motho, TK Cooper goes one-on-one with BT Gunn, Moustache Mountain attempt to bounce back from their loss two weeks ago as they take on The Glaswegian Assembly and Will Ospreay vs. Martin Stone vs. Strangler Davis vs. Joseph Conners in the main event with a shot at Big Damo's title at stake. Jim Smallman enters the ring. He announces that before the in-ring action kicks off, a member of the roster has requested some time in the ring. The fans rise as 'I Hope You Suffer' by AFI blares across the Sixfields Stadium to signify the arrival of Jimmy Havoc. The King of the Goths picked up a win over his idol Sabu in last week's main event and even received respect from the hardcore legend after the bell in a true passing of the torch moment. Once he reaches the ring, he is passed a microphone by the ring announcer and begins to talk. The inaugural EPW British Hardcore Champion declares that he lived out a dream last week when he not just faced by beat a man who he has looked up to for over two decades. It is now time for him to move on to the next chapter of his career. Before he can announce what his focus is moving on to, the sound of 'Purple City' by Joker & Ginz is met with resounding jeers. Mark Haskins walks down the aisle with Vicky Haskins following closely behind. They slowly walk down to the bottom of the ramp before The Hellbent Anti-Hero demands a microphone. He apologises to us all for dropping out of last week's main event because what took place was a disgusting display of garbage wrestling between a past it stuntman and the man that stands before him who he describes as poor excuse for a professional wrestler. The crowd show their disapproval. Haskins continues to explain that he won't allow Havoc's brand of car crash death matches to get in his way to the top. Jimmy fires back and challenges his newfound enemy to join him in the ring to compete in the match that didn't take place last week. After stalling for a moment, Haskins tells Havoc that he won't enter a ring with him until he gets insurance that The King of the Goths can prove he can conduct himself like a proper professional wrestler. The couple leave as we head to the first break. EPW British Women's Championship Kay Lee Ray © (with Noam Dar) vs. El Motho (with El Ligero) What is quite evident from the challenger's demeanour is that her identity is Session Moth Martina. Regardless of that, she pinned the champion last week and William Regal has given her another shot at the title. She has decided to don the El Motho mask once again and she is accompanied by her tag team partner from last week; El Ligero. Kay Lee Ray makes her way to the ring with her gold around her waist. Noam Dar is by her side. The Scottish Supernova argue before the bell however are ordered out to ringside so the match can commence. The champion tries to jump her opponent right away. The #1 contender fights back and delivers a Fall Away Slam. She then throws some overhand chops to send KLR down in the corner. The Queen of Sesh Style tries to follow up with a Bronco Buster early on but the champ gets her foot up to turn the tables. A Sitout Inverted Suplex Slam, several stomps and a Split-Legged Moonsault follows to get Kay Lee Ray a two count. El Motho looks all out of gas. The Scottish alpha of the women's division then chokes her challenger in the corner with her foot. As the masked party girl staggers out of the corner, she is dropped with a Front Facelock Stunner. The champion then slowly climbs the ropes with the intention of executing her finisher; the Swanton Bomb. She dives. El Motho rolls out of the way. Kay Lee Ray hits the mat hard and the comeback is on. The fiery fan favourite follows up with some running forearms, a couple of dropkicks and a Running Bulldog. The crowd are well behind El Motho. El Ligero motions for her to head up top and she pulls off a Frog Splash for the nearest of falls. Even the commentary team called three however the champion kicked out at the very last moment. Joe Hendry proclaims that the challenger winning would be the worst thing to happen to the women's division. His colleagues disagree whilst she lines up for her finishing move; the Satellite DDT. Noam Dar sees his girlfriend in danger so grabs the leg of El Motho to stall the execution of the upcoming move. We see El Ligero charge round to chase him off however it is too late. Kay Lee Ray blasts her opponent with a Discus Elbow. She then follows up with a Gory Bomb to score a three count to retain her EPW British Women's Championship. The champ has her arm raised but doesn't intend on sticking around. As Ligero slides in to check on his ally, Kay Lee Ray and Noam Dar flee up the aisle with the gold. They run out of sight. Meanwhile in the ring, The Masked Sensation helps up the unsuccessful challenger. He goes to leave the ring. El Motho pulls him back in to slap a massive kiss on the lips which pops the crowd. These two are an unlikely couple to say the least. Who would have coupled a Mexican, high-flying luchador with an Irish, beer chugging, bleach blonde hooligan? They then leave arm in arm to cheers from the Northampton fans. RJ Singh is standing by for an interview in the backstage area. He is joined by Chief Deputy Dunne who has an EPW British Tag Team Championship belt on each shoulder after his brother forfeited his ½ of the gold. Dunne explains that he isn't going to let the rejection from his family member keep him down. It is something that has happened for all of his life and he has to keep his sole mission for being here in English Pro Wrestling in mind; to police all fun and add some much needed decorum to the sport of pro wrestling. He announces that he has gone out and found himself who, unlike his brother, stands for everything that he does. Chief Deputy Dunne welcomes to the scene the new recruited superintendent of The Anti-Fun Police; Ryan Smile. As RJ Singh turns round, he bump in to the new co-champion who is all kitted out in a matching police uniform. Dunne passes him the belt which he immediately throws over his shoulder. Smile claims that he's been out in the parking lot all afternoon and he's disgusted by the amount of parking violations he saw. Apparently it is time that The Anti-Fun Police really started to enforce the law because the fans and the wrestlers in the locker room have been engaging in far too much fun as of late. Chief Deputy Dunne then pipes up once again and claims that the only way that the heavy hand of the law won't be dealt is if nobody has any fun then nobody will get hurt. Singh reluctantly thanks the champions who then order him not to smile whilst they walk away. TK Cooper (with Dahlia Black and Travis Banks) vs. BT Gunn The South Pacific Power Trip all enter together to the sound of 'Keep It 100' by Grandtheft & Keys 'n' Krates. Dahlia Black is fresh off her deciding Best Of Five Series victory over Jinny Couture earlier on reloaded with a guaranteed title shot in the bag and Travis Banks has his briefcase in hand which he won in the Battle For The Briefcase Ladder Match two weeks ago but tonight is TK Cooper's chance to finally prove himself in singles competition. The fans welcome them with cheers. The mood turns sour when 'Psycho' by Psyko Dalek blares over the speakers. BT Gunn walks out with a hood over his head and finally pulls it back when he climbs up on to the ropes. The Oddity hasn't had the best of luck since splitting from The Tartan Rebellion with a string of losses under his belt. His desperation to change that is evident when he attacks his opponent before the bell. Gunn reins down on Cooper with several stomps before Steve Lynskey can drag him back. As the official finally calls for the bell, BT goes back in for the kill and nails stomp after stomp in the corner. He then chokes TK with his foot until the referee drags him back once again. His opponent rises to his feet. The Oddity then charges forward for a Running Corner Clothesline but misses which gives the New Zealand native a chance to fight back. After a few stiff forearms, he runs the ropes to pull off a Running Neckbreaker. Cooper then follows up with a Springboard Dropkick for an early two count. He is clearly still focused on winning when he delivers ten punches in the corner. Dahlia, Travis and the fans count along in unison. As he drops down, BT Gunn responds with a Superkick out of nowhere. Cooper manages to stay on his feet but is taken to the canvas with a Brainbuster. The Oddity gets a two count of his own. He mounts his opponent after the kick out and blasts him in the face with rights and lefts. Gunn slowly gets up with evil intentions. He attempts to spring off the ropes to execute the Gunshot. As he does, TK pushes him over the ropes to the outside. He then follows up with the Loverdose Corkscrew from the top rope down to ringside which pops the crowd. The former EPW British Tag Team Champion takes in the chants from the crowd before rolling BT Gunn back in the ring. He takes to the top rope with a 450 Splash in mind. As he dives, his opponent moves and leaves TK crashing down to the canvas. The Oddity springboards off the ropes. He executes the Gunshot to full effect. BT hooks the leg. The official count. The New Zealand native kicks out just before three. Nobody can believe it. Nobody has kicked out of the Gunshot before. The Scottish heel is out of ideas as he pulls his opponent back up off the mat. He decides to attempt a German Suplex but TK Cooper elbows his way out and sends him dizzy with a Bicycle Kick. The former champ then pulls off a Scissors Kick on the rebound, hooks the leg and scores the three. The rest of The South Pacific Power Trip pile in to the ring to join TK Cooper to celebrate his win. Travis Banks and Dahlia Black raise his arms in the middle of the ring before the victor takes to the ropes to bask in the cheers. Pete Dunne has been summoned in to the office of William Regal. The commissioner asks The Bruiserweight how he feels about seeing the title he earned being just handed to a new face by his brother. He doesn't seem to care much however Regal informs him that he might care about another new face that he has signed to a contract over the past few days. Dunne appears intrigued. The troublemaker wants to know what difference is this 'new acquisition' going to make to him. Before revealing who it is, the boss tells his long-time nuisance of an employee that he may not be able to cancel his contract however he will make sure he makes life as tough for him as he made life tough for Regal, the locker room and the entire English Pro Wrestling fan base during his reign as champion. He then welcomes the newest signing and Pete Dunne's opponent next week in to the room. In walks the 6ft 4in, 250lbs+ alpha male Iestyn Rees who some fans may be familiar with. The heavyweight was a well sought after free agent until the commissioner secured his services last week. The Bruiserweight looks up at his upcoming opponent who towers over him and warns him that he's beaten bigger men than him in the past and left not just bodies but careers in tatters. The former EPW British National Champions calls him just a hyped up bodybuilder. Iestyn Rees doesn't take too kindly to the insults though and pins Dunne up against the nearest wall. The newcomer then tells him that he intends on showing everybody that the true alpha male has arrived in EPW by teaching him a lesson next week. Dunne slowly backs away but doesn't take his eye off of Iestyn Rees. Moustache Mountain vs. The Glaswegian Assembly Trent Seven and Tyler Bate are desperate to get back on course after losing their EPW British Tag Team Championships two weeks ago however the newest team in the division stands in the way in the form of Joe Coffey and Wolfgang. The Glaswegian Assembly beat The Grizzled Young Veterans in a convincing first showing. Moustache Mountain enter to a great reaction from the Northampton fans but their opponents have their fair share of supporters too. Tyler trades holds with Coffey in the early stages. The Iron Man tries to wipe him out with a Clothesline to which Bate ducks and pulls off a Rebound Lariat. After executing a Running European Uppercut in to the corner, he tags in his partner and the ex-champions deliver the Whirling Dervish for a two count. Trent delivers a Running Overhand Chop. Joe Coffey responds with three knife-edge chops followed by a German Suplex. As Seven falls back in to the turnbuckles, The Iron Man lands on him with a Running Corner Splash and tags in Wolfgang. The Regulator storms in with a streak of aggression. The Scottish heavyweight unleashes a barrage of stomps, follows up with the Wasteland and then climbs to the second rope with a Moonsault in mind. He dives but there's nobody home when he hits the canvas. Trent dives over to his corner to get the hot tag. Tyler Bate charges in and immediately floors Wolfgang with a Rolling Wheel Kick. The crowd pop as he then executes a flawless Standing Shooting Star Press for a two count. After the kick out, he climbs up top and nails a Corkscrew Senton Bomb. He doesn't have enough time to hook the leg though. Joe Coffey is back in the ring and drags his opponent back to his corner. He then tags himself in to pull of the Big Swing in the middle of the ring. The crowd count along each time he swings his opponent around which totals to ten times. The Iron Man then applies the Boston Crab. His much smaller opponent debates whether to tap but is willed on by Trent Seven to hang on. Bate eventually finds the bottom rope. Coffey lifts him up for a Powerbomb. The 20-year old prodigy fights his way out of it and dives over for the tag. His opponent grabs his leg but is blasted with an Enzuiguri. Trent Seven comes back in full of energy. The Bombardier of Battery unleashes several forearms to Coffey before launching him in to the ropes with the Seven Stars Lariat in mind. He nails it. He also hasn't realised that Wolfgang tagged himself in during the irish whip. As Trent makes the cover, Wolfgang enters and lands on him with the Howling. The Regulator knocks his other opponent off the apron before hooking the leg for three. The Glaswegian Assembly pick up a second victory on the bounce looking even stronger than they did last week. Joe Coffey and Wolfgang's arms are raised in victory by the official. As they take to the ropes, they motion title belts around their waist. It seems their focus is firmly on the reigning EPW British Tag Team Champions and who's going to deny these Scottish heavyweights a shot at the gold? RJ Singh is standing by for an interview in the backstage area. He is joined by Big Damo who is looking as evil as ever. The Beast From Belfast is asked about the upcoming #1 contender's match and who he would rather face. The champ doesn't seem to give a damn though. He promises that whoever is the last man standing in the main event is signing his own death warrant as he will be forced to go one-on-one with the most dominant champion in the history of this company. Damo runs down each of his four potential challengers. He calls Strangler Davis a mid-card champion before questioning what Joseph Conners has even done to earn himself a spot in this match. As the big man looks down at the gold on his shoulder, he claims that he would take great pleasure in squashing Will Ospreay like a bug given the opportunity. Singh then asks about the possibility of Martin Stone becoming #1 contender to which Damo lets out a huge laugh. The unstoppable force reminds us that The Guvnor has been given chances time after time and has proven each and every time that he can't hang with the rest of the locker. He predicts that despite the other men in the match being out of his league, the mention that Stone is going to get another title match is laughable. Big Damo ends the interview abruptly. The four competitors in the main event are shown warming up for the match ahead before we head to our final break of the evening. They all look focused for the task ahead with a shot at the EPW British Undisputed Championship at stake. 4 Corners Elimination Match Will Ospreay vs. Martin Stone vs. Strangler Davis vs. Joseph Conners The winner of this bout will receive a shot at Big Damo's EPW British Undisputed Championship at EPW Live #80: The Only Way Is Essex however the reigning champion has promised that the victor will sign his own death warrant by winning this match. Strangler Davis makes a slow walk down to the ring. The EPW British Hardcore Champion has his title around his waist but looks to add to his title collection with a win tonight and a win over Damo in three week's time. Joseph Conners is greeted by boos from the Northampton fans and shows even more intensity than usual. The Righteous Killer is not fazed by the negative reaction from the crowd. Martin Stone stomps down to the ring. The Guvnor has doubted the future of his career over the past few weeks but a win here could really put things back on track for him. Will Ospreay is afforded a fantastic reaction from the crowd as he storms down the aisle. As he reaches the ring, he is attacked by Joseph Conners to kick this match off. Stone and Davis brawl amongst themselves. The referee isn't going to be able to order any decorum here. These four men are desperate for the title shot that hangs in the balance. After Conners launches Ospreay in to the ring-post, he and Strangler decide to join forces to beat down Stone. The Guvnor falls victim to a Double Suplex and a Doomsday Device for an early two count. Both heels take turns to take him down a peg with strikes in the corner. Their alliance doesn't last much longer when The Righteous Killer starts yelling at fans in the front row. The EPW Hardcore Champion rolls him up for a two count. Both men then get up to their feet and fight between them. After trading several right hands, Ospreay comes back in to the fray with a Diving Front Dropkick to the two heels. He follows up with a Dropkick, a Running Forearm and a Handspring Enzuiguri to them too. Conners and Davis both roll out to ringside. This leaves The Guvnor and The Aerial Assassin face-to-face. They trade right hands which favour the cockney brawler. He delivers a European Uppercut, a Lou Thesz Press and a Running Elbow Drop. The multi-time champ looks to waste no time when he lines up for a Running Lariat. As he charges forward, Ospreay blasts him with a Superkick. He follows up with the Essex Destroyer for a near fall before the veteran rolls to ringside. In the mean time, Strangler Davis launches Joseph Conners in to the steel steps at ringside. He then rolls back in the ring and sneaks up on the Essex based high-flyer with the Stranglehold. The Aerial Assassin counters in to an Inside Cradle. The referee counts three. Strangler Davis has been eliminated. The EPW Hardcore Champion is furious. He can't contain that anger though and quickly wipes out Ospreay with a Running Big Boot. The brawler then finishes what he started by choking out his newfound rival with the Stranglehold. Once referees reach the ring, Davis escapes. The damage has been done though. Joseph Conners quickly slides in like a snake. He makes the cover. The referee is forced to count three. Will Ospreay is eliminated in controversial fashion. As he is helped to the back, Davis comes back through the curtain and kicks him between the legs. The Aerial Assassin falls to his knees. The champ then strikes him with his belt to end this vicious assault. The match continues on in the ring. Joseph Conners rolls Martin Stone in from ringside. After the Nottingham born technician keeps The Guvnor grounded with rest holds, he picks up the veteran to execute a Reverse STO. Boos echo around the arena as he stalks The Guvnor. The Righteous Killer follows up by delivering his finisher; the Hammerlock Cradle DDT. He hooks the leg. The referee counts. Martin Stone gets his shoulder up at the final second. The aggressor is furious but is forced to watch as his opponent fires up. The legend knows it could be his final chance to get to the top and throws several forearms. As Conners attempts to fight back, he is pulled down in to an Arm-Trap Crossface. Stone pulls back. The Righteous Killer tries to find a way out. He can't and is forced to tap. Martin Stone wins. The Guvnor rises from the canvas and is announced as the new #1 contender. After the official raises his hand, he takes to the ropes to celebrate but his attention is diverted to Big Damo standing on the stage. The reigning champion is holding his belt high in the air. The final image of the show is Martin Stone pointing right back with no signs of fear for what lies ahead. Edited by UK-Joe, Jan 11 2018, 08:18 PM.

Not sure of what to think of the out come of the best of series on if she'll give the champion the tougher fight or not, but it was a closely fought series, I'll give Black that. Martina going for a masked look was a bit amusing. Even though the match didn't go her way it seems what went down post bell did. Not sure what to think about Ryan Smile, can't say I've heard of him, but I got the feeling him being handed half of the tag titles won't go unnoticed. Though I suppose CDD could have done worse. Could you imagine him alligning himselg with anyone from the attitude era with the RTC gimmick? That would be such a mood killer. Ress is a new name to me (I noticed he has been around the UK scene for some time though) but I'm alright liking him for the way he stood up to Dunne. Simple but good promo spot with Big Damo. Wouldn't mind him seeing him hold onto the belt for all of 2018. With that being said though Stone should give him respectable challenge. |
