RELOADED MATCH #1: The Dark Horses defeated The Demonic Sisterhood via submission when Laura Di Matteo forced Bea Priestley to tap out whilst Xia Brookside fended off Nikki Cross with a Spear to the outside. This was their first victory as a tag team and the fans cheered them on as they celebrated the win on the turnbuckles. RELOADED MATCH #2: Dave Mastiff defeated Zack Gibson (with James Drake) via pinfall after launching his opponent in to the turnbuckles with a German Suplex and following up with a Running Cannonball. After the bell, Liverpool's Number One rolled out and yelled at his tag team partner for not trying to help him. Mr. Mayhem did not react. RELOADED MATCH #3: The C.C.K defeated Muscle, Steel & Sex Appeal via pinfall with the Wheelbarrow Basement Dropkick on Nathan Cruz. As the winning team had their arms raised, the losing team went on the attack in frustration. They threw Kid Lykos out to ringside before dropping Chris Brookes with the Terminal Velocity to close the show. EPW Live #78 After Reloaded finishes, a video recap of last week's Live airs showing Martin Stone win a 4 Corners Elimination Match to become the new #1 contender to Big Damo's EPW British Undisputed Championship. We also saw Kay Lee Ray defend her title against El Motho, met Chief Deputy Dunne's new partner and co-champion 'Super Intendant' Ryan Smile, TK Cooper pick up a win over BT Gunn, Mark Haskins verbally trashed Jimmy Havoc, The Glaswegian Assembly stake their claim to be next in line for a title shot as they defeated ex-champs Moustache Mountain and Pete Dunne met his opponent for this week's show and English Pro Wrestling's newest acquisition; 'The Alpha Male' Iestyn Rees. This week's episode takes place in Ipswich. Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness and Joe Hendry welcome us from ringside and run down the scheduled card which includes Dahlia Black vs. Nixon Newell, the new EPW British Tag Team Champions The Anti-Fun Police show what their made of in tag team action, Martin Stone battles Joseph Conners and Pete Dunne has his first singles match in over six months when he goes one-on-one with new signing Iestyn Rees. Before we head to the ring for action, we head backstage for an interview. RJ Singh is standing by with Mark Haskins. Vicky Haskins stands alongside her husband as silent and brooding as ever. The interviewer asks his subject why he has recently decided to target Jimmy Havoc and everything he stands for. The Hellbent Anti-Hero fires back by claiming that what Havoc stands for is garbage wrestling which has no place on a professional wrestling show. He continues by saying that time after time he stood in the back to see his name not on the scheduled card but to see Havoc right up the top stinking up the joint just because he is willing to carve himself to bits. Haskins tells everybody who wants to see that to go watch a horror movie or something. That kid of thing doesn't belong in 'his' ring. As the powers that be aren't willing to listen to his requests to bring proper wrestling back to this show, he is going to have to do that himself and the ill-mannered heel promises to do that before the night is through. He storms off ending this interview abruptly. What could The Hellbent Anti-Hero have in store? Non-Title Match The Anti-Fun Police vs. El Ligero & El Motho The new EPW British Tag Team Champions make their way down the aisle to an arena full of jeers. Once they step in to the ring, Chief Deputy Dunne demands a microphone and asks Ipswich for a little decorum. This only adds fuel to the fire. Ryan Smile then takes to the ropes to argue his partner's case. The Superintendent of The Anti-Fun Police's pleas fall on deaf ears though. Dunne declares that despite the two of them never having tagged before, they are the most dominant force in the tag team division. He then claims that the belts prove that. They are soon interrupted by the sound of El Ligero's theme music which pops the crowd. The Masked Sensation emerges alongside his new partner-in-crime; El Motho. These two came out victorious in their first outing together against Kay Lee Ray and Noam Dar. The champions jump them as they step through the ropes to kick things off. The referee eventually settles things and Ryan Smile takes it to El Motho in his corner. As Dunne holds back her hair, Smile then charges forward and clocks her with a Running Forearm. He then lifts her for a Vertical Suplex. She escapes. Smile tries to throw a Clothesline, El Motho ducks and responds with a Bridging Back Suplex for a two count. After tagging in Ligero, the Mexican high-flyer springs off the ropes to deliver a crisp Missile Dropkick to the back of the head of his opponent. He follows up with a Shoot Kick, an Arm Drag and a Handspring Enzuiguri. The Superintendent of The Anti-Fun Police then scurries to the outside to talk tactics with his partner and get a breather. This could prove to be a mistake though. El Motho darts in to the ring, runs the ropes and flies out for a Tope Suicida. They scout it at the very last second and push one another away. Good team work by the champs. Motho is down at ringside and looks hurt. As the heels celebrate their fallen opponent, Ligero dares the cowards to get back in so he can defend the honour of his woman. Chief Deputy Dunne tags in. He and Ligero engage in some wrestling until the leader of The Anti-Fun Police wipes out the luchador with a Bicycle Kick followed by a Springboard DDT. The champions are now in pole position. With El Motho not moving at ringside, they take their opportunity to smash Ligero with their Double Superkick; the Killjoy. Chief Deputy Dunne makes the cover. El Motho makes a last ditch attempt to break the fall but is held off by Ryan Smile and forced to watch the three being counted. The Anti-Fun Police win. They aren't done yet though. Smile drills Motho with a Blue Thunder Bomb and the heels line up for the Killjoy once again. Before they can execute, The Glaswegian Assembly charge down to make the save. The Scottish powerhouses make a beeline for the champions who run for the hills. They want no part of this. Joe Coffey is handed a microphone from ringside and warns the champions that if they keep on running, they will catch them in the end. The fans go nuts as The Iron Man and The Regulator stand tall in the ring. The Anti-Fun Police cowardly ignore the challenge as they pass through the curtain. RJ Singh is standing by for another interview. This time his subject is Martin Stone. The #1 contender may have secured his shot at the EPW British Undisputed Championship however still looks focused on the task that lies ahead this evening. The Guvnor admits that for a long time he didn't know whether he had it to compete at the level he needed to. Last week proved without a shadow of a doubt that it is time for him to take back his manor and take his place back on top. He claims to have knocked out bigger, nastier bastards than Big Damo in the past and if he can't do it now then he will walk away. Singh asks about his opponent tonight; Joseph Conners. Stone knows what The Righteous Killer is about. He cuts corners, he takes cheap shots and he does anything to him. Unfortunately for Conners, Stone has been around the block. The Guvnor challenges Conners to bring something new to the table because he is going to have to if he wants to get the win tonight. RJ ends the interview by thanking Stone for his time. Dahlia Black vs. Nixon Newell Over the past several weeks on Reloaded, we saw a gruelling Best Of Five Series take place between Jinny Couture and Dahlia Black in which the valet of The South Pacific Power Trip finally earned her stripes in the women's division as a proper singles wrestler. The three wins she picked up granted her a guaranteed title shot against Kay Lee Ray at EPW Live #80: The Only Way Is Essex. The New Zealand native is all decked out in new ring attire to mark this next chapter in her career and looks completely focused. Her opponent tonight is Nixon Newell. The Welsh Destroyer was the inaugural EPW British Women's Champion however her once innocent, girl-next-door persona is gone in place of an aggressive, entitled antagonist. She gets in the face of Black when the bell rings. Newell shoves her but is then taken down to the canvas in to a Kneebar. The former champion grabs the bottom rope to break. Dahlia takes in some much deserved cheers from the crowd as she awaits her opponent getting up. As the match rolls on, Kay Lee Ray decides to walk on down with Noam Dar by her side to watch her upcoming challenger up close and personal. She doesn't seem impressed even though Black is dominant. The New Zealand native delivers a Dropkick, a Japanese Arm Drag, a Wheelbarrow Bulldog and a Missile Dropkick for the first two count. As she climbs up to the top rope for the Dark Side Of The Moonsault, Newell finds her feet and cuts her off. The Welsh Destroyer then follows up with a Crucifix Powerbomb off the second rope to the canvas to turn the tables before slowly crawling over for the cover. She hooks the leg. Jessika Carr counts. Dahlia kicks out at two. Nixon then sets up for the Shining Wizard. She charges forward. We see Kay Lee Ray and Noam Dar's faces drop as Black catches her in mid-air, drops her with a Powerbomb and transitions in to a Cloverleaf. The submission is locked on tight. The crowd are desperate for Newell to tap but she pulls herself to the rope. The two engage in a test of strength with several forearms. This has been a hell of a contest. After successfully nailing a Spinning Backfist, the #1 contender then floors her opponent with a Spinning Roundhouse Kick. Nigel McGuinness thinks she could have just knocked out Nixon Newell. Black then climbs the ropes once again and this time nails the Dark Side Of The Moonsault. The three is counted by the official. Dahlia Black picks up a huge win. After her arm is raised, she points at Kay Lee Ray who has the belt over her shoulder looking smug. The #1 contender warns the champ that she's coming for the gold but is then hooked from behind in to a Full Nelson by Noam Dar. The Scottish Supernova holds on to his girlfriend's newfound enemy whilst KLR steps in to the ring. She teases hitting her with the gold. Before she can, 'Keep It 100' blares over the speakers. TK Cooper couldn't sprint any faster to his girlfriend's aide. When he reaches the ring, Dahlia nails Dar with a back kick to the groin. Cooper then nails him with the Scissors Kick and they turn their attention to Kay Lee Ray. She has done a runner by this point. The champ left her boyfriend to take the beating but there will be no running in two week's time. RJ Singh is standing by for his third interview of the night. It's been a busy night for The Bollywood Dream. His guest at this time is Strangler Davis who is watching a replay on repeat of him attacking Will Ospreay last week. Singh informs us that The Aerial Assassin can't be here next week due to the belt shot but the EPW British Hardcore Champion claims that the high-flyer is running scared. Strangler continues by telling us that Ospreay got what was coming to him after costing him an opportunity to challenge for the EPW British Undisputed Championship. Davis is sure that he will get another chance so now he wants to occupy his time by finishing the job he started next week. He throws down a challenge to his newfound rival to face him in two week's time in Ospreay's home-town of Essex and he will even put his title on the line. Strangler Davis ends the interview by inviting The Aerial Assassin to bring his friends and family along to watch because it might be their last chance to see him after he breaths his final breath courtesy of the Stranglehold. The champ barges past RJ back in to the locker room. If we know Ospreay, he will be keen to take up a title challenge on his home turf if he is fit enough to compete. Martin Stone vs. Joseph Conners The crowd are well behind the #1 contender. We are slowly getting closer to his stomping ground of London and you can hear the support for him going up as the weeks fly by. In two weeks he will do battle with Big Damo for the richest prize in the company; the EPW British Undisputed Championship. The Guvnor has never looked more motivated. He knows this could be his final chance to reach the top here in English Pro Wrestling and he isn't going to let anything stand in his way. Joseph Conners takes a slow walk down the aisle. The Nottingham based technician looks as tenacious as ever. Many doubt The Righteous Killer will be able to beat his opponent however he could really do some damage just two week's before the title bout. The opening minutes consist of some chain-wrestling on the mat. Conners is holding his own. Stone has a counter for everything though. The cockney brawler is keen to change the style and soon lifts his opponent up to deliver an Atomic Drop. He runs the ropes for a Clothesline however The Righteous Killer ducks. Conners then blasts him with a High Knee. As Stone falls to his knees, he follows up with a Superkick followed by a Running Knee Drop for a one count. The Guvnor kicks out with authority. He gets up quickly but is nailed with several knife-edge chops. Martin Stone may be the #1 contender but he isn't looking strong here. His opponent then pins him again with a Northern Lights Suplex. Once again Stone kicks out before two. Conners then mounts Stone and starts reigning down with stiff right hands. He then tries to poke him in the eye. Stone blocks it though and then pushes him off. When Conners rushes forward for a Clothesline, Stone ducks and then responds with a Lou Thesz Press followed by a Running Elbow Drop. The fans are now chanting his name. With the people behind him, he delivers several Clotheslines and a Running Powerslam. He then tries to lock on the Arm-Trap Crossface which put away Conners last week in the 4 Corners Elimination Match. The heel pulls himself out to ringside for a breather. Stone goes out in pursuit of his opponent but as they hit the ring again, the wiley antagonist catches him with a Low Dropkick. Conners then executes the Falcon Arrow for the nearest fall so far. He beats down on the mat in frustration and then realises what he has to do. The Righteous Killer hooks up the veteran for his finisher; the Hammerlock Cradle DDT. When he tries to lift, the multi-time champion pushes him away. Martin Stone then blasts him with a Lariat to turn the tables in a big way. He hooks the leg. The referee counts. Yet another near fall. Joe Hendry questions what the hell is going to put one of these two down for the count. The Guvnor delivers several European Uppercuts in the corner to Conners. He then executes his finisher; the Tower of London. Stone rolls over for the cover. The crowd count along with the referee. He reaches three. Martin Stone picks up the win. As his hand is raised in victory, it looks like we have company when Big Damo marches down to ringside. He stomps in to the ring with bad intentions and charges towards the #1 contender. Stone pulls the top rope down. The Beast From Belfast tumbles down to ringside. The Guvnor then follows up with a rarely seen Suicide Dive over the ropes to send his enemy crashing to the floor. The multi-time champ knows it isn't the time to fight though. He must wait two weeks until the gold is up for grabs. As we head to the break, the EPW British Undisputed Champion is throwing anything that isn't nailed down in anger at what's just gone down. When we come back from the break, Mark Haskins and Vicky Haskins are in the ring. The Hellbent Anti-Hero has a microphone but the Ipswich crowd don't give him a chance to talk. He simply states that their opinion really is irrelevant to him which only makes them boo louder. Haskins reminds us that he promised to put an end to death match wrestling in this company for good. He doesn't want Jimmy Havoc yet though and announces that the two of them will go one-on-one in 'a proper wrestling match' at EPW Live #80: The Only Way Is Essex. The King of the Goths is going to sit back and watch as he teaches a lesson in wrestling to a man that his nemesis idolised, looked up to and even faced in this very ring a couple of weeks ago. The crowd cheer. Without even saying the name, Ipswich know he is calling out Sabu. The lights drop. The place goes mental. As they come back on, Sabu is armed with a chair in defence of hardcore wrestling. He rushes forward but Vicky Haskins throws salt in his eyes. This gives Mark Haskins the opportunity to deliver a Low Blow, a Pumphandle Half Nelson Driver and then transitions in to the Low Sharpshooter. He pulls back mighty hard on the finishing submission. Vicky then picks up the steel chair and rockets it in to the back of the head of the hardcore legend. Her husband soon releases the hold when 'I Hope You Suffer' by AFI is heard. In comes Jimmy Havoc who doesn't look happy. As he reaches the ring, the husband and wife have stepped out to ringside. The King of the Goths picks up the microphone. He has a few words for Haskins himself. Havoc states that their match may not be a death match however he can still kick his f*cking head in even if there are rules. As he helps up Sabu, he tells Haskins to find a partner for next week because he and Sabu will be bringing the fight to him. The Hellbent Anti-Hero slowly saunters to the back with a grin. He is happy at what he is done however it seems Jimmy Havoc cannot wait two weeks to get his hands on him. Pete Dunne vs. Iestyn Rees William Regal takes a seat at ringside to watch the action from behind the commentary desk. Ranallo, McGuinness and Hendry are pleased to welcome the commissioner to the booth. He seems pretty happy at the arrival of Iestyn Rees to English Pro Wrestling. The powerhouse from Gloucestershire sure has made a name for himself up and down the country as one of the best unsigned talents. Regal expects big things from The Alpha Male. Pete Dunne is greeted with mostly boos. The ex-champion is getting a very small amount of support from a section of the crowd though which the commentators address. Our commissioner doesn't seem too bothered by it. The Bruiserweight hasn't wrestled in singles action for over six months however looked absolutely flawless during the Tag Team Ladder Match at EPW Live #75: Ascension. Joe Hendry claims that men like Dunne never shows signs of ring rust which Ranallo and McGuinness find hard to disagree with it. William Regal stays silent though. The match begins with Rees attempting to lift his smaller opponent. Dunne manages to drag him down to the mat and attempts a Kimura Lock. The newcomer shoves him off before the two collide in the middle with a lock-up. This favours Iestyn who powers The Bruiserweight in to the turnbuckles. As he pushes him back, his opponent grabs at his hand and tries to bite his fingers. Dunne gets a punch in the jaw in response. He is then dropped with a Snap Powerslam. As Rees lights up Dunne's chest with some knife-edge chops, Regal appears very pleased with himself. He then nods his head in approval as the big man executes a Military Press Drop. Many believe the turncoat is getting what is coming to him. The commissioner's face drops when The Bruiserweight bends the finger's of his adversary. He then throws him out to ringside and proceeds to stomp on the hand of Iestyn Rees repeatedly. Before the referee can count them out, Dunne quickly throws his opponent back in the ring. He ruthlessly stomps at the 250lbs brawler in the corner until the referee pulls him back. As Rees gets up, Dunne blasts him with a Running European Uppercut in to the turnbuckles. The former EPW British National Champion has turned things around in a big way. He isn't willing to let this momentum go either. He is relentlessly targetting Iestyn's hand with stomps. The Alpha Male is now on his knees. Pete Dunne shows no mercy blasting him around the face with a Superkick to the jaw. He then turns to Regal and yells 'is this your boy, huh?' whilst kicking his opponent in the back of the head. The Bruiserweight may be got a little cocky though as when he attempts a Forearm, the Gloucestershire based grappler ducks and nails him with a Full Nelson Slam. The new signing then motions for his finisher; the Sitout Powerbomb. He attempts it but Dunne crawls under his legs, gets to his feet and nails him with a High Knee. The Bruiserweight wastes no time in executing the Bitter End which he does successfully to the chagrin of William Regal. He hooks the leg. The referee counts three. Pete Dunne returns to the English Pro Wrestling ring with a victory. His arm is raised but he shows no intent to celebrate. He rushes to ringside to get in the face of the commissioner who is now standing with his eye fixed on the winner of the match. The Bruiserweight delivers a strong message to Regal; he will go through everyone with ease until he gets his title shot. He then stomps to the back with a grin on his face. The show closes with the commissioner pulling himself together after his face-to-face. Edited by UK-Joe, Jan 11 2018, 08:21 PM.

So far the new paring of CDD and Smile is successful, though they'll both chicken shits. Solid ladies contest. The post bell actions gave a little extra fire to the upcoming women's title fight. Would have loved to see an upset in the main, unfortunately that didn't happen and Dunne won. |
