RELOADED MATCH #1: Timothy Thatcher defeated Joseph Conners via submission when he countered a Hammerlock Cradle DDT attempt in to his finishing submission; the Thatcher Stretch. RELOADED MATCH #2: Nixon Newell defeated Pollyanna Peppers via pinfall with the Shining Wizard. The Welsh Destroyer pulled ring announcer Jim Smallman in to the ring to declare her 'the true champion'. RELOADED MATCH #3: The C.C.K defeated The Singh Brothers (with RJ Singh) via pinfall when they dropped Samir Singh with the Wheelbarrow Basement Dropkick. They challenged whichever team wins the title match later. EPW Live #85: London Brawling Once Reloaded comes to a close, a video recap of last week's episode airs showing Marty Scurll securing the #1 contender's spot with a win over Timothy Thatcher. We also saw Will Ospreay defeat Noam Dar before Pete Dunne came out to stalk his arch-enemy with a sledgehammer over his shoulder, Rampage Brown challenged BT Gunn to a match with his EPW British Hardcore Championship on the line after successfully defending the gold against RJ Singh, Jinny Couture pinned the EPW British Women's Champion Dahlia Black during a tag team bout, Travis Banks called out Mark Haskins to face him this week and The Anti-Fun Police were double crossed by the #1 contenders; The Alpha Bastards. Tonight's shows marks the final leg of the tour of London at the sold-out O2 Arena. Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness and Joe Hendry welcome the viewing audience at home before running down this evening's card; Will Ospreay vs. Pete Dunne in a No Holds Barred Match, BT Gunn challenges Rampage Brown for his EPW British Hardcore Championship, Dahlia Black defends her EPW British Women's Championship for the very first time against Jinny Couture in a 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match, The Anti-Fun Police put up their EPW British Tag Team Championships against The Alpha Bastards plus Big Damo goes one-on-one with Marty Scurll with the EPW British Undisputed Championship at stake. EPW British Hardcore Championship Rampage Brown (c) vs. BT Gunn Last week saw RJ Singh unsuccessfully challenged for the gold despite multiple interruptions from his new allies; The Singh Brothers. BT Gunn also took it upon himself to get involved and tried to cost the champion the match. Rampage Brown fought the odds to defend his title however his attention was firmly on The Oddity. He threw down the challenge for a match which has since been accepted via the means of social media. The challenger is the first to make his way down to the ring for battle. He seems ready for the task ahead. The fans don't seem to respond much to the Scottish cruiserweight. The champion is afforded cheers as he makes his way down the aisle with an angry look on his face. It appears he hasn't forgotten about the Gunshot he was forced to endure last week and is out to seek revenge. As he reaches ringside, he starts to launch weapons in from under the ring. BT Gunn catches a baseball bat. Rampage steps in through the ropes and is immediately attacked with it. He falls down on to all fours to give his opponent time to grab a screwdriver. Gunn tries to stab him with it but the powerhouse from Leeds rolls out of the way and then lays him out with a Running Clothesline. The Master of the Piledriver is now in the driver's seat. He picks up a trash can and repeatedly blasts his opponent in the back with it. After placing it over the head of The Oddity, the big man runs the ropes and wipes him out with a Running Spear. BT grabs his mid-rift in agony. Rampage now has evil intentions as he picks up a bag and pours thumb tacks across the ring. This could get ugly. The challenger attempts to fight back but is blasted with a gut kick which is followed by a Running Powerslam on to the tacks. As Gunn sits up, tacks fall from his back whilst blood pours down his spine. He looks up at the champion who mouths to him 'we're not done yet!' The fans cheer him on as he throws the challenger to ringside and catapults him on to the barricade. Rampage then pulls a ladder out from under the ring to a loud pop from the London crowd. Once he sets it up, his opponent climbs up as a way to escape. The big man soon joins him up top. The two combatants trade right hands however it is the champ who comes out looking strong. He then drags his rival over to his side of the ladder, lifts him and then leaps up to drop him through the announcer's desk below with the Piledriver. Nobody can quite believe what has just gone down. The leg is hooked. The official counts three. This match is over. Rampage Brown is handed back his EPW British Hardcore Championship and he raises it above his head whilst the referee raises his other arm. Medics rush down to check on his opponent. The retaining champ doesn't waste any time celebrating and immediately marches to the backstage area. What a brutal way to open this two-hour special. Jennifer Louise is standing by backstage for her first interview of the evening. Her guest is Mark Haskins who has his wife Vicky Haskins alongside him. She asks whether The Hellbent Anti-Hero will be accepting the challenge posed by Travis Banks last week. He laughs to himself before revealing that he has no intention of facing The Kiwi Buzzsaw again because he's been there and done that. The cocky heel continues by explaining that he has nothing to gain by beating up the Battle For The Briefcase winner yet again. When asked why he has been targeting him, Haskins simply tells Jennifer that seeing as he gets zero respect around here it has just been a way to amuse himself. Haskins claims that the New Zealand warrior has had everything handed to him on a plate and it's time he was told no for once. The interview finishes once his usually brooding wife tells the interviewer that they won't be wasting any more time answering these mundane questions. The couple walk off up the corridor to put an end to the segment. EPW British Tag Team Championships The Anti-Fun Police (c) vs. The Alpha Bastards Chief Deputy Dunne secured the belts two months ago with his brother Pete in a Ladder Match over Moustache Mountain. After his partner vacated his half of the championship, the leader of The Anti-Fun Police handed his new associate Ryan Smile the belt. The cowardly champions scraped their way past The Glaswegian Assembly last month in their first defence however they find themselves up against the newest heavyweight team on the block; The Alpha Bastards. Dave Mastiff and Iestyn Rees make their way down to the aisle to a decent response from the sold-out O2 Arena. The people definitely want to see them walk out with gold around their waist. The reluctant heels are next to enter the squared circle with worried looks on their face as the official warns them that he will be watching their every move. Nigel McGuinness even offers to hold on to the EPW British Tag Team Championships himself to ensure that they don't try and use them as weapons for a second month in a row. The match begins with Rees over-powering Dunne during several lock up attempts. He then throws him in to the corner and blasts him with some knife-edge chops. After Dunne staggers out of the corner, he is dropped with a Pendulum Backbreaker transitioned in to a Russian Leg Sweep. The Alpha Male watches on as his opponent climbs to his feet in agony. The big man from Gloucester attempts a Discus Forearm however his smaller opponent ducks and turns the tables with a Running Chop Block. He stomps down on to the leg of Iestyn repeatedly before tagging out. Ryan Smile continues to stomp when he charges in. He then locks on a Single-Leg Boston Crab on to that same leg. The Superintendent keeps the submission locked on. Eventually his opponent powers out and then nails Smile with the Discus Forearm he attempted earlier. Rees then limps over to make the tag to his partner. Dave Mastiff steps in with a grin on his face. As Smile runs at him, he scoops him up and drops him down to the canvas with a slam. He runs the ropes to attempt his signature Big Splash. His opponent quickly rolls out of the ring to safety and the champs discus tactics on the outside for a few seconds. Before the referee can count the legal man out, he slides back in and manages to drop The Bastard From The Black Country with a Low Dropkick followed up by a Tornado DDT. The fans boo as the heel climbs to the ropes for the Frog Splash. Ryan Smile dives through the air. Dave Mastiff moves at the last second to see his opponent hit the mat hard. The Superintendent quickly leaps over to tag out. Chief Deputy Dunne steps in through the ropes but is immediately launched in to the turnbuckles with a German Suplex. The 300lbs+ monster then takes him out with the Running Cannonball and tags out to his partner. They line up for their finisher; the Last Breath. As they lift him, Ryan Smile rolls in and delivers a Double Low Blow right in the referee's sight who calls for the DQ. The Anti-Fun Police may have lost however they are quick to rush out to grab their belts from Nigel McGuinness. The ring announcer announces The Alpha Bastards as the winner. He also regretfully informs us that the belts will not change hands due to the disqualification finish. Boos echo around The O2 Arena as Dunne and Smile flee up the aisle to the backstage area. The challengers look pissed and argue with the referee. The official made the right call though. Jennifer Louise is in the locker room for her second interview of the evening. She is joined by the #1 contender and the man challenging Big Damo for the EPW British Undisputed Championship in the main event; Marty Scurll. The Villain looks pumped for the task at hand. He knows that every thinks he is the underdog however what people forget that he is no stranger to the danger when it comes from The Beast From Belfast. Scurll has a 2-0 record over the man beast and intends on making it a hat trick tonight. Whether it's been Zack Sabre Jr., Pete Dunne, Jack Gallagher or the current reigning champion, he claims that they've all just been keeping his belt warm for when he is ready to reclaim it. Apparently tonight is that night and the fans in London are about to witness history unfold yet again because it was right here when he defeated Will Ospreay in the original EPW British National Championship tournament to win the title in the first place. Marty stops for a moment to listen. You can hear the 'MARTY, MARTY, MARTY' chants from the locker room. He smiles and finally tells Jennifer Louise that everybody loves a villain. No Holds Barred Match Will Ospreay vs. Pete Dunne This feud all stems from one month ago when The Bruiserweight screwed The Aerial Assassin out of a match in his home town for seemingly no reason at all. Ever since, Will Ospreay has taken it in to his own hands to try and get revenge however William Regal told him that he could face Pete Dunne in a No Holds Barred Match if he just waited until tonight's two-hour special at The O2 Arena. The fans cheer the babyface down to the ring whilst 'Elevated' by It Lives, It Breaths blares over the speakers. After taking to each turnbuckle to salute the crowd in the capital city, his opponent steps out on to the stage to the sound of 'Bruiserweight' by CFO$. He is welcomed with mostly boos with some support from a very small section of the crowd. Despite the No Holds Barred ruling, the two exchange holds for a few minutes to kick things off. Dunne eventually gets bored and wipes his opponent out with a Forearm Smash. He then throws Ospreay in to the corner to reign down on him with repeated stomps. The brute from Birmingham takes control with some rough strikes before launching him in to the turnbuckles with a Scoop Slam. The fans boo. The wiley heel just turns and scowls at them in disgust. As he lifts his enemy to his feet, the high-flyer from Essex begins a comeback. He manages to clip his opponent with a Handspring Roundhouse Kick. Dunne rolls to the outside for a breather. Ospreay isn't done and leaps over the ropes to successfully pull off the Sasuke Special. The crowd go nuts and he proceeds to throw the former champion over the barricade. A Brawl breaks out through the first few rows. The Aerial Assassin tries to launch The Bruiserweight in to a row of steel chairs. It is countered though and he is thrown back first on to a chair with a Hip Toss. Dunne then snaps each finger of his adversary before executing a Rolling Release Suplex on to the concrete floor. The bout rolls on with the ex-champ in control. He pulls out the sledgehammer from under the ring once they reach the ringside area again. Dunne lifts it up in the air with evil intentions. Ospreay manages to avoid the sledgehammer, dash under his opponent's legs, jump up on to the apron and then deliver a picture perfect Asai Moonsault. Another high-risk move pays off for the well travelled junior heavyweight. Dunne is rolled back in. He tries to get to his feet however his opponent is out for revenge for last month. The Aerial Assassin attempt the Springboard Forearm Smash. The Bruiserweight catches him with a European Uppercut on the way down and follows up with a Vertical Suplex Powerbomb for a two count. The frustration in his face is evident. He still has more in the tank though and puts him in position for the Bitter End. Dunne executes it. He hooks the leg. The referee counts again but he is suddenly attacked by Dave Finlay and Robbie Brookside. They reign down on him with stomps and punches until he retreats to the corner. Despite Dunne being a heel, the fans don't agree with this one bit. The veterans don't let up though. They continue the beat down until Will Ospreay finds his feet. He appears confused. Finlay and Brookside point at the babyface to join them however he fights back against them. The high-flyer nails them with a Running Front Dropkick before dropping them both individually with his finisher; the Oscutter. He makes sure he shoes them out of the ring before turning his attention back to his opponent. Pete Dunne is up. He has the sledgehammer and blasts it around the skull of the man who just saved him from a beating. Joe Hendry reminds us on the headset that no matter what, you always put the victory first. The Bruiserweight scrapes his opponent off the mat to nail an adapted version of his finisher which sees the Pumphandle Lift transitioned in to a Belly-To-Belly Piledriver rather than a Reverse STO. Mauro Ranallo calls it the Better End. The leg is hooked. The referee counts three. Pete Dunne is victorious. Against the odds, it is the longest-reigning champion of the modern era that gets his arm raised. He smiles as he picks up the sledgehammer once again and steps to the outside. Dave Finlay is slowly climbing to his feet. The Belfast Bruiser is knocked out with a sledgehammer shot by the winner of the match. The Bruiserweight then turns to drop The Wildcat with one too. He then marches up the aisle with that famous scowl across his face. This No Holds Barred Match was an entertaining one however the finish was marred in controversy. Jennifer Louise tries to get a word with Kay Lee Ray. The former champion is dismissive and makes it known that she has know time for an interview. As The Killer opens the locker room door, her mouth opens wide. The camera turns round to see the returning Viper standing tall over The Demonic Sisterhood who are laid out in a heap on the concrete floor. The last time we saw the destructive force was all the way back at EPW Live #65 when she was unfairly screwed out of her EPW British Women's Championship after being thrown through the announcer's table by Bea Priestley and Nikki Cross. Kay Lee Ray begs and pleads that she had nothing to do with any of what happened which we know isn't true. Viper stomps towards her with bad intentions however Noam Dar suddenly jumps to save his ex-girlfriend. He shields her from harm. This proves to be a mistake as Viper grabs him around the neck and launches him across the room. As she turns back round, Kay Lee Ray has fled the scene and is nowhere to be seen. Viper is back. The women's locker room better fear because the unstoppable force has returned. 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match for the EPW British Women's Championship Dahlia Black (c) vs. Jinny Couture The rivalry between these two started back three months ago when they engaged in a Best Of Five Series to crown a #1 contender. We saw Dahlia Black win the series by 3-2 and then go on to win the belt last month at EPW Live #80: The Only Way Is Essex. Jinny Couture felt that she should have won the series and gone on to win the belt herself so has made it her business to make the new champion's life a living hell over the past few weeks. The Resident Fashionista has attacked her enemy on numerous occasions as well as getting a pinfall over her in tag team action last week. Tonight's match will be the first-ever female 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match in the company's history. Couture struts down the aisle to the sound of 'Turn My Swag On' by Keri Hilson. The challenger steps through the ropes and steps up to the turnbuckle to an arena full of boos and insults. The mood changes when 'Keep It 100' blares over the speakers. Dahlia storms through the curtain looking like she means business. The champ jogs down to the ring and the two trade punches immediately. She throws Jinny in to the corner to hammer her with kicks to the gut before following up with some overhand chops. The cocky heel responds with a poke to the eye. She then runs the ropes to pull off a Running Neckbreaker for an early one count. The aggressive challenger mounts her opponent to nail her with repeated slaps to the face. After the referee drags her off, she charges back at her and nails her with a stiff boot to the skull. Couture pulls off a Bridging Back Suplex for a two count. Her second pin of the match in the space of a minute or so. Nigel McGuinness that she is desperate to gain the advantage in this best of three situation. It is going to be much harder to keep the fighting champion down though. A nerve hold is locked on. Black manages to fight back with some elbows and locks on a Camel Clutch herself. The challenger looks in pain. She is asked whether she wants to quit. It looks a distinct possibility until she powers back in to a pinfall whilst hooking the legs. The tights are hooked. The referee is out of view though. Jessika Carr counts three for a shock first fall. Jinny Couture is 1-0 up. Could we see a new champion? She attempts to stay in control with several stomps and shoot kicks to the chest. Jinny nails her opponent with a Snap DDT for another two count. The Resident Fashionista sits Dahlia up on the ropes with a Superplex in mind. As she attempts to lift her, the champion holds on and lifts Couture on to her shoulders. She then drops her with a Michinoku Driver all the way down to the canvas. Black then climbs the ropes again and executes her finisher; the Dark Side of the Moonsault. The leg is hooked. Jessika Carr counts three. It is 1-1. With the two females tied, they both show signs of fatigue. Both competitors slowly climb to their feet and then begin to trade right hands. Jinny then headbutts her opponent to send her staggering around the ring. She then nails her with the Fashion Statement and rolls over for the cover. The referee counts. It is almost three. Dahlia pulls her arm up to stop the count. As Jinny argues with the speed of the count, the champion slowly climbs to her feet and tries to catch a breath. She is hammered with some stiff forearms by Jinny who is showing no remorse. The arrogant antagonist grabs her opponent around the throat for what looks to be a Choke Hold STO attempt. Suddenly, the champion counters in to a Kneeling Fujiwara Armbar. The submission is locked on. The challenger has nowhere to go. She tries to fight out but is eventually forced to tap. Dahlia Black wins the match 2-1 and retains her EPW British Women's Championship. Jinny Couture gave it all she had but it wasn't enough to stop the champ. As Dahlia is handed her belt, she drops to her knees. This took it all out of her. She doesn't have the energy to celebrate however the fans give her a standing ovation whilst she is checked over by the referee. Jennifer Louise is standing by for her final interview of the night. Pete Dunne is her guest and he isn't happy one bit. The Bruiserweight is launching bags, bins and anything not nailed down around the locker room. He yells that he got back in this company fair and square and he should be treated the same way as everyone else in this locker room. Dunne knows that William Regal hates him with all his being and the feeling is mutual but to send down his newfound stooges to the ring to try and screw him out of his match is taking things to a whole new level. The former champion warns the commissioner that there is nothing he can do to stop him getting back what should be his; the EPW British Undisputed Championship. It doesn't matter whether it's Big Damo or Marty Scurll or whoever has the gold around their waist. He intends on beating them within an inch of their life. The Bruiserweight reminds us that he proved out there that loyalty means nothing to him. Will Ospreay tried to help him and he still caved his head in with a sledgehammer to prove to the entire locker room that not one single wrestler is safe. He finally turns his attention to Dave Finlay and Robbie Brookside. The Belfast Bruiser and The Wildcat are warned that if they even think about carrying out any of William Regal's dirty work again, he and his sledgehammer will be waiting to take their heads off their shoulders once again. Dunne then tells Jennifer Louise to clear off which she does with haste. EPW British Undisputed Championship Big Damo (c) vs. Marty Scurll The Villain has beaten the reigning champion on two occasions. Once way back at EPW Live #25 and then also recently at EPW Live #79 (with a little added help from Martin Stone). He earned this title shot after going on a winning streak over the past few months. Nobody can seem to stop the inaugural champion as of late. The Beast From Belfast is the current holder of the gold. He is fresh off of one month's vacation and has been watching the #1 contender tear it up from his home in Ireland. The man beast from Ireland has been an unstoppable force since winning the title however Nigel McGuinness claims that he could see himself on the losing side if ring rust is a factor. Marty Scurll makes his way down to the ring with the full support of the crowd. He is pumped up for this opportunity and has his eye on scoring a third win to secure himself a second reign with the gold. Big Damo marches down the aisle for his first appearance since he retired Martin Stone. His aura hasn't wavered in the slightest though. The Beast From Belfast's presence still sends shivers down the spines of all as he steps through the ropes. The bell rings. The two lock up. Bad move by the challenger. He is launched across the ring by Damo who has the size and strength advantage. The junior heavyweight tries to find a way to get one over on his opponent but is getting thrown around like he's nothing. Damo blasts him in in the mid-rift with knee smashes. He then sits Scurll on the ropes however The Villain responds with a rake to the eyes. After nailing the champion with several kicks, he then executes a Front Missile Dropkick to send him down. The Irish heavyweight is straight back up to his feet though. He attempts a Running Corner Splash. Marty dives out of the way and then clocks him with a Rope-Assisted Enzuiguri. As he tries to follow up with a Tornado DDT on the rebound, it is countered in to a Belly-To-Belly Suplex across the ring. Damo then delivers a Powerbomb in to a Boston Crab. The submission is locked on. The challenger looks in serious pain. He is showing no signs of quit though and the champion eventually becomes impatient so releases the hold. The 300lbs+ monster lifts his opponent up in to an Electric Chair position. It looks as though he is set to execute the Ulster Plantation. The wiley challenger reverses it on the way down in to a cradle. Damo kicks out at two though. As he sits up, Scurll blasts him with the Just Kidding Superkick. Damo is still on his knees. Marty nails a Tornado DDT to transition it in to the Crossface Chickenwing. The finisher is locked on. The crowd are going nuts. He pulls back and forth to try and choke the life out of the champion. Could the unstoppable force be finally stopped in his tracks? Damo shows signs of life though. He stands up but his opponent still has the hold applied whilst sitting on his back. The beast staggers around the ring. As he drops once again, the fans go nuts. The referee lifts the arm once. Then twice. Then a third time but as it drops, Damo holds it up and fights back. He stands up once again to chuck Marty off of his back. He hits the mat with a thud. Marty then walks straight in to a Big Boot, is landed on with a Running Senton and scraped off the mat to fall victim to the Ulster Plantation. The champion goes in for the kill. His challenger is down. The Beast From Belfast applies his finishing submission; the Cu Chullain's Wrath. As he yanks back on the hold, his opponent fades. It is clear that he has passed out. The referee awards the match to the champion. Big Damo retains his EPW British Undisputed Champion. The reign rolls on. He stands up from the canvas and has his arm raised. Damo's attention then turns to the stage when the music of Travis Banks plays. Could this be the cash in? The Battle For The Briefcase winner emerges from the back to deafening cheers. He holds up the briefcase at each side of the stage before pointing towards the ring. Damo shakes his head in disapproval and watches as The Kiwi Buzzsaw starts to march down the aisle. Out of nowhere, Banks is jumped from behind by Mark Haskins before he can reach the ring. The Hellbent Anti-Hero nails his arch-rival with a German Suplex on the ramp before locking on the Low Sharpshooter. Vicky Haskins slowly saunters up to watch with an evil grin on her face. In the mean time, Damo has stepped out of the ring and stomps past the two of them before passing through the curtain. The show closes with security and referees trying to pull Haskins off of Banks. Tonight's two-hour special ends with more questions than answers. |

Solid Reloaded card to kick things off. Having Nixon being declared the true champion is a pretty bold statement to make, it could backfire on her. At least she sounds confident. Expected Brown to retain the hardcore belt, though Gunn didn't go down quietly. That was a low way to end the tag title bout...no pun intended. Finlay and Brookside's involvement in the no holds bared match was confusing. The match was a good one up until that point. Someone get the measuring tape and see how far Viper tossed Noam. Nice segment. Possible show stealer with the ladies, could have went either way. Given Dunne and Regal's history I can understand Dunne feeling it was Regal's doing. Wondering how this will play out. Marty's a worthy challenger, but glad to see Big Damo retain the gold. Was a bit concerned with the sight of Banks potentially cashing in and though O'Connor was going to get screed. Glad that didn't happen. |
