RELOADED MATCH #1: Viper defeated The Demonic Sisterhood via pinfall in a Handicap Match with the Double Chokeslam. After the match, Noam Dar came out on to the stage and challenged his ex-girlfriend's arch-enemy to a singles match next week. The fans cheered as she nodded her head and smiled to accept. RELOADED MATCH #2: The C.C.K defeated The Grizzled Young Veterans via pinfall when they nailed James Drake with the Wheelbarrow Basement Dropkick. Zack Gibson smacked his partner around after the match however Mr. Mayhem finally stood up for himself and dropped Liverpool's Number One with the Sitout DDT. RELOADED MATCH #3: Kay Lee Ray, Nixon Newell & Jinny Couture defeated Dahlia Black, Pollyanna Peppers & Session Moth Martina via pinfall in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match after Nixon nailed Martina with the Shining Wizard for the win. Newell pointed out the reigning champ Dahlia Black as she made her way to the back. EPW Live #86 After Reloaded comes to a close, the Live broadcast begins with a video recap of last week's two-hour special showing Big Damo defending his EPW British Undisputed Championship against Marty Scurll followed by Travis Banks teasing a cash in of his briefcase before being attacked by Mark Haskins. We also saw Pete Dunne beat Will Ospreay in a No Holds Barred Match despite being attacked by Dave Finlay and Robbie Brookside mid-way through the match, Dahlia Black scored a 2-1 victory in a 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match over Jinny Couture to retain the EPW British Women's Championship, The Alpha Bastards defeated EPW British Tag Team Champions The Anti-Fun Police however the title did not change hands due to a DQ finish and Rampage Brown defended the EPW British Hardcore Championship. Tonight's show takes place in Reading at the sold-out Rivermead Leisure Complex. Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness and Joe Hendry greet us from the commentary desk and run down the scheduled card; Mark Haskins vs. Wolfgang, two semi-final matches in a Tag Team Tournament in the hunt for new #1 contenders and a yet to be announced main event which will have EPW British Undisputed Championship implications. Before the show kicks off, we also take a look at the upcoming three-hour special dubbed 'the biggest and best show in the history of English Pro Wrestling'. Mauro Ranallo promises the fans that titles will be defended, rivalries will be settled and history will be made at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena. 'Beast' by Neil McDougall blares over the speakers to signify the arrival of the EPW British Undisputed Champion. Out walks Big Damo through the curtain with his title still over his shoulder following his successful title defence against Marty Scurll last week. He stomps down the aisle, steps through the ropes and demands a microphone. Jim Smallman is quick to hand over his. The 300lbs+ monster holds up his champion whilst declaring himself the most dominant champion in the history of this company. You really can't argue with that. The Beast From Belfast has laid waste to everyone that's stood in his way. He claims that every challenger who has called themselves 'real competition' has fallen at his feet. After questioning whether there is any one in the locker room that can stop him, some familiar music plays. Rampage Brown walks out on to the stage. The EPW British Hardcore Champion is cheered as he makes his way down the aisle. He shows no fear as he slides in the ring and goes face-to-face with Damo. These two titans have collided before. It wasn't pretty. The match went to a no contest and it took a legion of security, referees, wrestlers and even police to stop the melee. The tension between these two heavyweight is still high. Once Rampage is passed the microphone, he says that it appears that the two of them have once again found themselves in the position of being the unstoppable force and the immovable object. The Master of the Piledriver then proposes that they finally settle this once and for all. Title for title. His counterpart nods his head. It appears that Damo agrees. Both men lay their titles down in the ring as the crowd explode. As they size each other up, William Regal walks out on to the stage and reminds them that he books the matches. The commissioner tells Rampage Brown that he can't just come out here and start putting himself in title matches whenever he pleases. If he wants one, he will have to earn it. He then announces that our main event this evening will be a Six Pack Challenge in which six of the company's top superstars will compete in an elimination match with the winner earning himself a title opportunity. Regal then says that if the reigning EPW British Hardcore Champion wins and wishes to put his title up for grabs in that match too then he may do so. The other competitors in the match will be announced in due course. As the boss passes back through the curtain, Damo tells his nemesis that he hopes he wins the main event so he can finally put him out for good. We head to our first break as the two stare each other down in the ring. Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final Match Moustache Mountain vs. The Aussie Open The winners of this four-team tournament will earn themselves a title match against The Anti-Fun Police when the company returns home to Southampton at EPW Live #90: When The Saints March In. Trent Seven and Tyler Bate are seen as the favourites in this tournament having a reign under their belt already. They look confident as they make their way down to the ring. Their opponents are Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher and they are collectively known as The Aussie Open. Having moved over here from their home country a year ago, they have been tearing up the independent circuit. It was just a matter of time before they ended up in English Pro Wrestling especially after the success of their New Zealand counterparts; The South Pacific Power Trip. This new rookie duo have the cockiness that the former team displayed when they first arrived. Davis (a.k.a Dunkzilla) is the powerhouse of the duo at just over 240lbs. Fletcher (a.k.a The Aussie Arrow) is a high-flyer and weighs in at just 160lbs. Nigel McGuinness claims that their styles perfectly compliment each others from what he has seen of them. The match begins with Tyler Bate and Kyle Fletcher trading holds on the mat. The Aussie Arrow holds his own for a short while however it favours the 21-year old prodigy who ties him up in a knot on the canvas before tagging out. Trent Seven pulls off a Butterfly Suplex which leaves his opponent to make the decision to tag out. We now have two heavyweights squaring off with Mark Davis stepping in. Dunkzilla has no issue laying in some stiff forearms to his opponent and runs the ropes for a Running Clothesline. The Bombardier of Battery ducks before pulling off a Back Body Drop. As Davis falls back in to the turnbuckles, he is blasted with several overhand chops followed by a Running Overhand Chop. Trent then drops him with a Delayed Vertical Suplex for the first two count of the match. Seven slowly pulls his opponent back up however is dragged up in to a Package Lift and spun in to a Sidewalk Slam. He rolls to the corner. Davis then follows up with a Sliding European Uppercut in to the turnbuckles for a two count of his own. After making the tag, The Aussie Open drop the Birmingham based heavyweight with the Death Sentence for another two count. Kyle Fletcher does a sound job of stopping his opponent from making the tag for a minute or so. He gets his team yet another near fall after executing a crisp Slingshot Somersault Senton. Trent crawls to his corner. The Aussie Arrow tries to drag him back but he responds with a Spinning Backfist. As Fletcher staggers back, Tyler gets the tag and flies in with a Missile Dropkick. The Iron Master then executes a Rebound Lariat, a European Uppercut, a Rolling Wheel Kick and an Exploder Suplex all in quick succession. Moustache Mountain have the fans on their side. Bate takes to the ropes with a Corkscrew Senton Bomb in mind. Once he gets up there, Mark Davis illegally shakes the ropes from the apron to send him falling back down to the canvas. This triggers Trent Seven to run round and a brawl begins at ringside between the two heavyweights. Dunkzilla launches The Bombardier of Battery in to the barricade before nailing him with a Gutwrench Suplex on to the concrete floor. With Trent down, Tyler is in a vulnerable position. Fletcher tags out but he catapults his opponent in to the clutches of his partner who is waiting to drop him with the Pop-Up Powerbomb. He holds on for the pinfall. The referee counts three. The Aussie Open pick up the win. As their arms are raised, the crowd take in this shock result. The newest team have stunned us all by beating the former champions and advancing to the finals of the Tag Team Tournament. The fans don't seem to have taken to Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher though after they broke the rules on more than one occasion. They don't seem to care though as they make their way up the aisle with smiles on their faces. TK Cooper is outside of William Regal's office trying to get in however Dave Finlay and Robbie Brookside are guarding the door and show no signs of letting him in. They ask him if he has a message for the commissioner. The New Zealand native wants an opportunity to prove himself. He wasn't on the show last week or this week and just wants the chance to get back on the ladder to success. Finlay tells him to wait whilst Brookside enters the office to speak to the boss. After a few moments pass by, The Wildcat emerges and informs Cooper that he can have a spot in the Six Pack Challenge later tonight. The wrestler seems elated at getting a shot to earn himself a title match. Brookside then adds that if he loses, he will not be eligible to challenge for ANY title belt for an entire year. TK's head drops. He shakes his head and doesn't know what to think at first. After a while he looks up and tells the two men in front of him to tell Mr. Regal that it doesn't matter who the other five wrestlers in the match are. He intends on finally breaking out just like his girlfriend and his best friend have done. Mark Haskins (with Vicky Haskins) vs. Wolfgang As of late, The Hellbent Anti-Hero has been doing everything he can to make Travis Banks life a misery even going so far as to lay him out before his potential cash-in of the Battle For The Briefcase title shot last week at EPW Live #85: London Brawling. This week Mark Haskins has a big task at hand himself and he better be ready for what is coming. He slowly saunters down the aisle with his wife by his side. As he steps in to the ring, he shakes his head at the fans in the front row who are hurling insults at him. You wouldn't believe that this man was once one of the biggest babyfaces in the company. His opponent for the evening is the big Scottish heavyweight; Wolfgang. The Regulator had a semi-successful run in the tag team division recently with Joe Coffey as The Glaswegian Assembly however were screwed out of their eventual shot at the belts by The Anti-Fun Police. He returns to singles competition here and shows no signs of ring rust. The big man stomps the hell out of Haskins in the corner and then throws him across the ring with a Belly-To-Belly Suplex. As Haskins tries to get up himself, Wolfgang lifts him up to drop him with a Forward Fireman's Carry Slam. He then climbs up to the second rope and lands a Diving Moonsault for a two count. Haskins is in the corner. The Regulator runs at him for a Running Corner Clothesline however the wiley heel moves out of the way. He then delivers a Running Corner Dropkick himself and follows that up with a Spinning Facebuster. The Hellbent Anti-Hero follows up with stomps, knees and elbows to the spine. Nigel McGuinness comments that those strikes will help him if he can lock on the Low Sharpshooter. As Wolfgang finds his feet, he is nearly sent crashing back down with a Running One-Armed Swinging Neckbreaker. The heavyweight pushes his opponent in to the turnbuckles instead. He then pulls off a Sidewalk Slam on the rebound. Wolfgang then stands, howls at the fans and points towards the top rope to signify it's time to finish this. The Regulator leaps through the air for the Howling, his opponent gets his knees up and his back hits them hard. He springs up but falls straight in to the official on his way up. The referee is down. Vicky Haskins sees an opportunity and passes her husband in the steel chair. The Hellbent Anti-Hero stalks his prey. Just before he can hit him, Travis Banks sprints down and takes him out with a Running Spear. Haskins tries to gets away. The Kiwi Buzzsaw drags him back in. He then lifts him up and drills him with the Spinning Torture Rack Slam. The damage has been done. The Battle For The Briefcase winner exits the ring with a smile and turns round to watch whilst he backs up the aisle. Wolfgang is up. He climbs up the ropes and executes the Howling before hooking the leg. The referee crawls over. The count is slow but he reaches three. Wolfgang is victorious. The Regulator salutes the crowd and then gives Banks a nod. The Kiwi Buzzsaw passes back through the curtain having saved the day and gotten some redemption. The Alpha Bastards want to speak to William Regal. Dave Finlay and Robbie Brookside won't let them in though. They explain that they were screwed out of their shot at the EPW British Tag Team Championships last week when The Anti-Fun Police got themselves intentionally disqualified to retain the belts. Iestyn Rees thinks they should have a rematch but is even more unhappy that they have been left out of the ongoing Tag Team Tournament to crown new #1 contenders. Dave Mastiff wants to talk to the commissioner and he demands to talk to him now. Dave Finlay enters the office whilst Brookside warns them not to go in otherwise they will be suspended. After Mastiff asks who made Brookside the boss around here, Finlay re-emerges. The Belfast Bruiser tells them that Mr. Regal has taken their request under consideration and has asked for them to come back later on. The Alpha Bastards look at one another before walking away. Once they are gone, Brookside looks at Finlay and tells him that they could use a couple of lads like them. The Irish wrestling legend nods in approval as we head back to the ring for some action. Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final Match The C.C.K vs. Muscle, Steel and Sex Appeal These two teams are no strangers to one another. They have fought numerous times on Reloaded over the last few months. Now they have the chance to impress on the main show with a spot in the #1 Contender's Match next week at stake. The C.C.K have already been in action earlier on Reloaded in a win against The Grizzled Young Veterans. The Glaswegian Assembly originally had the spot however Joe Coffey could not make it to the show due to travel issues causing a reshuffle. Chris Brookes and Kid Lykos are over in Reading. The fans cheer them on as they make their entrance. The mood sours when The Gap Band's 'You Dropped A Bomb On Me' plays. Muscle, Steel and Sex Appeal strut out in brand new robes with so much swagger you would think they already had the victory in the bag. The boos just get louder as they take to the turnbuckles to bask in this reaction. Nathan Cruz and Josh Bodom even take a moment to flex their muscles whilst their opponents shake their heads in disapproval. The match begins with Josh Bodom and Chris Brookes chain wrestling. The Blonde Bomber is elated to get one over on his opponent and gets a round of applause from his partner in the corner. He isn't so successful when they lock up again. Brookes throws him in to the corner, nails him with several knife-edge chops and then takes him back down to the canvas with a Monkey Flip transitioned in to a Cross Armbreaker. Bodom manages to grab the rope. The two combatants find their feet. They trade strikes in the middle of the ring followed by a string of counters. The Bournemouth based technician comes out on top again with a Leg Lariat on the rebound. He chooses to tag out whilst in control. Bodom then holds the arm of his opponent whilst his partner springs off the ropes to knock him down with a Double Axe Handle. The Prima Donna then hops up to the second rope. He dives off for a Diving Double Knee Facebreaker however he is caught in mid-air and is dropped neck first on to the top rope. Nathan Cruz then staggers in to an Octopus Stretch. Brookes is an accomplished catch wrestler and manages to force his opponent to the ground with the submission. He then transitions in to a Fujiwara Armbar before stomping on the hand of his opponent. The technician then seeks the perfect opportunity to tag out and The C.C.K drop the only EPW British 15 Champion in history with an Inverted DDT/Frog Splash combination. Kid Lykos makes the cover. It is only a two though. The Dirty Wolf remains in control with his fast-paced offence until he is thrusted in to the opposite corner by his opponent. Cruz tags back out to Bodom who unleashes several forearms to the skull of his opponent. The Blonde Bomber takes a moment to flex to the crowd before nailing Lykos with a Running Leg Drop. He then delivers a Brainbuster for a near fall. The Blonde Bomber sets up for the Bliss Buster from the middle rope. As he goes to drop The Dirty Wolf, the flyweight wriggles from his clutches and then catches him with a Jumping Roundhouse Kick. Bodom staggers back. Lykos then springboards off the ropes and pulls off a Shooting Star DDT which pops the crowd. He hooks the leg. Nathan Cruz breaks the fall. Chris Brookes leaps in and all four men brawl for a moment. The Prima Donna ends up in the corner leading to Brookes blasting him with the Yakuza Kick. Lykos then crawls over for the tag and the momentum is firmly with The C.C.K. The babyfaces pick up Josh Bodom. He is lifted by Brookes, Lykos runs forward and they drop him with their finisher; the Wheelbarrow Basement Dropkick. The cover is made. The crowd count along with the count and we reach three. The C.C.K are your winners and advance to next week's final against The Aussie Open. In what proved to be an awesome bout, the fan favourites came out with the win and they proudly celebrate in front of the cheering crowd. Muscle, Steel and Sex Appeal slowly walk away with their heads down. They have squandered this chance. You can't help but feel if they put their arrogance to one side, they might have more success. As we return from our final break, Pete Dunne has snatched a chair from ringside and has placed it in the middle of the ring. The Bruiserweight also has a microphone in hand. It appears that he is out here to protest. He says he isn't going anywhere until William Regal confronts him in the ring. Dunne explains that he is sick and tired of the commissioner hiding behind his goons so he doesn't have to give him answer. The former champion has actually got some of the fans backing him here. The Birmingham based grappler can beat anyone. He wants his EPW British Undisputed Championship match. He isn't leaving until he gets a spot in the upcoming Six Pack Challenge. 'Regality' by Jim Johnston plays over the speakers and it seems Dunne is about to get what he wants. There is no sign of the commissioner though. Instead he is jumped from behind by Dave Finlay and Robbie Brookside. They both pile on him before stomping him in the back and repeatedly kicking him in the mid-rift. The Bruiserweight is down on all fours. He then bursts up to his feet and fires back with punches to his newfound enemies. Dunne throws Brookside in the corner, irish whips Finlay in to him and then blasts them with a Running European Uppercut in to the corner. As they drop to the canvas, he slides out of the ring to pull out his sledgehammer from under the ring. He returns and stalks his prey. Whichever man stands up first is going to get his skull caved in for the second week in a row. A fleet of security then charge down the aisle. At least 20 black shirt security enter the squared circle and restrain the angry former champion. He yells out in frustration as he is cuffed in the middle of the ring. Dave Finlay and Robbie Brookside soon direct the security to carry him out to the backstage area whilst the crowd explode in to boos. Pete Dunne may be villainous but this isn't fun to watch. It is pretty clear that the division between the people in charge and the locker room is getting larger as the weeks go by now and the authority are willing to do whatever it takes to enforce their power over the roster. William Regal has always been an honest, noble, fair commissioner up until now. What has caused this change? Six Pack Challenge for an EPW British Undisputed Championship Match Marty Scurll vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Rampage Brown vs. Timothy Thatcher vs. Fabian Aichner vs. TK Cooper Big Damo has really asserted himself over the rest of the locker room as the dominant champion that cannot be stopped. This match will decide who is next in line to take him on. Marty Scurll is first to make his way out. He was unsuccessful in his challenge last week however nearly had the champion beat with the Crossface Chickenwing. The fans look like they would be happy with The Villain getting a second chance to regain the title he made famous. Jimmy Havoc is greeted with a positive reaction from the Reading crowd. It has been a while since The King of the Goths has fought for the title and it would be interesting to see what he could bring to the table as he has never gone one-on-one with the reigning champion before. Timothy Thatcher gets a mixed reaction during his entrance. The straight-laced Californian import stomps down the aisle knowing this is his last chance to impress in English Pro Wrestling. Another competitor in the match that will not be around any more if he can't pick up the win is fellow import Fabian Aichner. The strongman from Italy has been keen to prove himself in EPW however has only managed to pick up a couple of victories on Reloaded during his tenure. TK Cooper gets a great reaction. Despite his recent bad luck, the crowd are still behind the New Zealand native 100% and would be happy to see his fortunes change. The last man to walk through the curtain is Rampage Brown. The EPW British Hardcore Champion has been tearing that division to shreds since winning the gold several weeks ago. He stated that he is willing to put his title up for grabs too if he earns the match against Big Damo. All six men collide in the ring once The Master of the Piledriver steps in. Marty Scurll and Jimmy Havoc fight amongst themselves. Timothy Thatcher trades stiff strikes with TK Cooper. This leaves the strongman from Italy vs. the powerhouse from Leeds to duke it out. They lock up. The two go back and forth. After running the ropes, Aichner attempts a Shoulder Block but Rampage doesn't move. He tries again however gets the same result. When he attempts a Jumping Shoulder Block, he is caught and then slammed in to the canvas with a Running Powerslam. His opponent then grabs him round the throat and launches him over the ropes with a Gorilla Press Slam. The EPW British Hardcore Champion turns round to blast Timothy Thatcher with several knee smashes to the gut. He then drills him with a Delayed Vertical Suplex whilst TK Cooper watches with his mouth wide open. He knows he could be next so rolls outside to safety. Unfortunately, the high-flyer from New Zealand bumps in to Marty Scurll who throws him straight back in the ring. Rampage is there to scoop him up and executes the Leaping Piledriver. The leg is hooked. The referee counts three. TK Cooper has been eliminated. This means he can't challenge for any title gold for a year. He slowly rolls out to ringside and it slowly dawns on him what has just happened once the pain is his neck settles. Cooper sits with his head in his hands before Travis Banks and Dahlia Black come out to help him to the backstage area to console him. Being the first eliminated must be an added blow too. In the mean time, Fabian Aichner has rolled back in and nailed a German Suplex on Rampage. The crowd are impressed by the strength it took. Rampage completely no-sells the move though and climbs to his feet. He kicks the Italian in the gut before nailing him with the Leaping Piledriver too. The leg is hooked. The count is made. Rampage Brown disposes of yet another. He turns his attention to Timothy Thatcher who gives him a little more fight with some ultra-stiff uppercuts and chops. Marty Scurll stalks Jimmy Havoc with a view for the Crossface Chickenwing. As he goes for the kill, The King of the Goths grabs his arm, pulls him in and drills him with the Acid Rainmaker. He isn't going to take any chances though. Havoc follows up with his other finisher too; the Go Home Driver. He holds on for the pinfall. The count is made. Marty Scurll has been eliminated. A fairly early elimination for someone who was dubbed a favourite. The Villain isn't happy. He slams his hands down on the mat before storming out of the ring in frustration. Thatcher's momentum has stopped in a big way now. Rampage clocks him with a Discus Big Boot before drilling him in to the canvas with the Leaping Piledriver. The leg is hooked once again. The three count is made once again. Rampage gets his third elimination of the match. He truly has been the driving force. As he gets up, Jimmy Havoc nails him in the back of the head with a Diving Double Foot Stomp from the top rope. He then follows up with a Curb Stomp which looked super nasty. The King of the Goths makes an ambitious cover. The official reaches two however Rampage kicks out with authority. Havoc tries to hook him up for the Acid Rainmaker. As he pulls him in, the powerhouse from Leeds scoops him right up in to the Leaping Piledriver. The hardcore warrior is out. The Master of the Piledriver makes the cover and the official counts three. Rampage Brown is the winner without a shadow of a doubt. With four eliminations under his belt, he looked strong than any other contender we have seen in a long time. The powerhouse has his arm raised and is handed back his title. The one he really wants is around the waist of Big Damo though. It's official now. It is a Title Unification Match at EPW Live #90: When The Saints March In. Damo vs. Rampage. Two titans clash in the ring. |

As foolish at it may sound, gotta give it to Noam for stepping up to Viper for his gal. A Damo/Brown title for title match sounds like a big one, but Regal's been consistent with having people earn a shot at the top belt, so can't fault him for wanting Brown to ear it. Kind of unsure of what to think of Dunne's protest. On one hand it seems odd of Regal to restort to actions like this, but on the other hand Dunne had this moment coming for a while. Tough break for TK Cooper. While him not being able to challenge for a title for a year maybe he'll have to wait until XCW returns to England and maybe be at the right place at the right time and 'challenge' the Ironman Champion in a restaurant or something. In all seriousness though hopefully he can get Regal's stipulation reversed, seems kinda harsh. Though with what went down earlier in the evening there wasn't any doubt that Rampage would be the one to come out on top. |
