Reloaded Match #1: Viper defeated Jinny Couture via pinfall with the Viper Driver. After the match had finished, The Vixen of Violence challenged her arch-nemesis Kay Lee Ray to finally face her in a singles match. The challenge was not answered. Reloaded Match #2: Will Ospreay defeated Joe Coffey via pinfall when he countered the No Mercy Boston Crab in to a Double Leg Cradle for the three count. The Iron Man was not happy with the loss and argued with the official afterwards. Reloaded Match #3: Jimmy Havoc, Wolfgang & El Ligero defeated RJ Singh & The Singh Brothers in a Six-Man Tag Team Match after Havoc floored RJ with the Acid Rainmaker, Wolfgang followed up with the Howling and Ligero finished him off with the C4L. EPW Live #89 Once Reloaded comes to an end, the main broadcast begins with a video recap of last week's episode showing the contract signing between Big Damo and Rampage Brown. We also saw Pete Dunne defeat Dave Mastiff in the main event however The Bruiserweight was attacked afterwards by The Front Office, James Drake lost a Loser Leaves Town Match to Zack Gibson to lose his spot on the roster, Mark Haskins attacked TK Cooper backstage and Ryan Smile stole a victory from Kid Lykos. This week's show takes place in front of a sold-out crowd in Bath. Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness and Joe Hendry are on hand to welcome us and run down the scheduled card for the evening which includes EPW British Women's Champion taking on the North American import Sienna, EPW British Tag Team Champion Chief Deputy Dunne battles The C.C.K's Chris Brookes and Mark Haskins goes one-on-one with Tyler Bate. Jim Smallman is about to welcome the first competitor to the ring for the opening contest when the fans suddenly break out in to boos. The Front Office have made their way on to either side of the stage. The sound of 'Regality' by Jim Johnston is heard over the speakers which riles the fans up even more. William Regal makes his way down the aisle followed by Dave Finlay and Robbie Brookside either side of him. The crowd direct 'ASSHOLE' chants in the direction of the commissioner as he is passed over a microphone from ringside. The boss speaks over them, demanding they show him some decorum and reminding them that he has the power to shut down this show if they don't show him the respect he deserves. He announces that Pete Dunne will not be in attendance tonight due to the beat down he sustained at the end of last week's episode at the hands of The Front Office. His two stooges find this amusing and nod their heads in approval. Regal then reveals that The Bruiserweight will be at next week's two-hour special in Southampton where he will be taking on Finlay and Brookside in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. The two veterans rub their hands in anticipation. You can't help but think Pete Dunne will be looking forward to getting his hands on them too though. As the commissioner goes to leave the ring, the music of Doug Williams is heard over the speakers. Rumours have been circulating all week about him being at the show and the fans in Bath welcome The Anarchist down to the ring with cheers. He is passed a microphone from ringside to express his disgust with how Regal has conducted himself over the past several week. Williams and Dunne have never seen eye-to-eye but he can't stand back while the commissioner exploits his position of power. Finlay yells at The Anarchist to get out of the boss's face and to stop disrespecting his authority. The two men begin to square up to The Anarchist. The fans explode at the sound of 'ALEX SHANE WILL STEAL THE SHOW IN FIVE SECONDS...' The countdown is on and Alex Shane emerges from the backstage area to join Doug Williams in the ring. After telling the crowd not to fear because The Showstealer is here, he too claims that he won't sit back and watch the company he helped build get corrupted from the top. He and his former rival stand side-by-side whilst Finlay and Brookside order them out of the ring. Williams then proposes to Shane that they tie up the boots once again to take on The Front Office which the crowd approve of. Our commissioner grants their request but if they lose, they must join The Front Office. They accept and the first segment ends with a stare down in the ring. Non-Title Match Dahlia Black vs. Sienna (with Jinny Couture) The North American import makes a slow walk down the aisle to the sound of boos from the crowd. Jinny Couture is in her corner and the fans don't like it one bit. The Resident Fashionista takes the microphone to formally welcome Sienna to the women's division before warning her that these people will never appreciate that the two of them are just on another level to them and the rest of the locker room. The newcomer nods her head in approval. Dahlia Black gets the opposite reaction when she walks down to the ring. She doesn't trust her former rival Jinny at all and asks the referee to keep her eye on the interfering antagonist at ringside. The champion will defend her gold against Nixon Newell next week. As the two exchange holds to kick the match off, we see a split-screen promo that the #1 contender cut to a backstage camera earlier today. The Welsh Destroyer claims that she is ready to take back the respect she deserves and will be taking back her title in the process too. In the mean time, Sienna has gained the momentum over Dahlia and forces her in to the corner with a Turnbuckle Thrust. She then chokes her with her foot before distracting the referee whilst Jinny locks on a Figure-Four Leg Lock around the ringpost from ringside. The import follows up with the Bridging Saito Suplex for the first two count of the event. The match rolls on and Sienna locks on a Texas Cloverleaf. The submission is locked on. The champion is in pain but finds the energy to crawl to the ropes for a break. The cocky heel from Detroit then looks to throw a Discus Lariat. Dahlia ducks the move, runs the ropes and takes her head off with a Running Leg Lariat. The tables are turned when she delivers a Dropkick, a Hip Toss and a Northern Lights Suplex in quick succession for a two count. The New Zealand beauty begins to climb the ropes. It looks like she has her finisher in mind. Sienna manages to catch up with her and shakes the ropes to stop her in her tracks. The import then launches her off the top rope with a Fallaway Slam for a near fall. As Jinny steps up to the apron to distract the official, Sienna rips the top turnbuckle off and then looks to run her opponent in to it head first with the Snake Eyes. She runs but Black escapes and then dropkicks her in the back. Sienna's face hits the exposed turnbuckle instead. The plan has backfired. The fiery babyface then delivers a Michinoku Driver. After sending Couture back down to the floor with a Springboard Dropkick, she takes to the ropes to execute the Dark Side Of The Moonsault for the three count. Dahlia Black is victorious. Jessika Carr raises her arm and passes her the belt. The gold may not have been up for grabs however the champion will be happy that she got a chance to tune up ahead of the championship bout next week. Jennifer Louise catches up with Travis Banks in the back to ask about the condition of TK Cooper after Mark Haskins beat him down in the backstage area last week. The Kiwi Buzzsaw informs us that it is all in the hands of the doctors. Hopefully his tag team partner will be back very soon to get his revenge on The Hellbent Anti-Hero himself. He is then asked about whether he himself will be looking to get any redemption after the beef he and Haskins have had over the last several weeks. Banks holds up his briefcase before confirming that if putting the title shot on the line is what it takes to get his enemy one-on-one in the ring then he will take it because there is no man capable of taking this golden opportunity from him. He ends the interview by abruptly warning Haskins that he intends on beating him within an inch of his life next week at EPW Live #90: When The Saints March In. Jennifer Louise then thanks him for his time and we head to the ring for the second match of the show. Chief Deputy Dunne (with Ryan Smile) vs. Chris Brookes (with Kid Lykos) The mood sours when 'No Fun' by Hot Tag Media Works plays over the speakers. The EPW British Tag Team Champions walk out to nuclear heat from the fans in Bath. They don't seem to care though. Chief Deputy Dunne will be in singles action against one half of their challengers next week; The C.C.K. We are shown a replay on the titantron of Ryan Smile stealing a victory from Kid Lykos at EPW Live #88 which the duo seem happy to watch again. The #1 contenders enter to a roar from the crowd with Chris Brookes wasting no time running down to the ring to kick the action off. The catch king from Tipton wipes Dunne out with a Running Forearm followed by a Japanese Arm Drag and then a Shotgun Dropkick in to the turnbuckles. The leader of The Anti-Fun Police rolls outside to talk tactics with Ryan Smile. Brookes quickly hops over the ropes on to the apron, charges forward and nails his opponent with a Superkick. He then follows up with a Diving Senton on The Superintendent. The fans go nuts for the quick-fire offence. Once Dunne gets back in the ring, he almost falls victim to the Yakuza Kick but responds with a boot to the face. The champ then turns the tables with a Running Neckbreaker. He then turns to Kid Lykos and taunts him from the ring before stomping down on his opponent repeatedly. The straight-laced heel from Birmingham pulls off a Springboard DDT for a two count. He then mounts his opponent to reign down on him with rights and lefts until he is dragged off by the official. Brookes sits up. Dunne charges forward for a Superkick. His opponent manages to avoid it and pulls off a Gutwrench Suplex followed by a Standing Moonsault for a two count of his own. Ryan Smile is spotted at ringside by Kid Lykos about to throw one of the title belts to his partner in the ring. The Dirty Wolf runs over and launches himself off the steps to pull off a Tornado DDT. Meanwhile, Dunne has swung the momentum back in his favour with a Low Dropkick and a Running Neckbreaker for a two count. His frustration is growing. He slam down on the mat in anger giving his opponent time to recover. The champ then sets up for a Frankensteiner from the top rope. As he jumps up to execute the move, it is countered in to a Powerbomb on to the canvas. Chris Brookes has the crowd's support as he takes to the top ropes. He pulls off a Frog Splash and hooks the leg but it's another kick out at two. Dunne finds his feet in the corner. Brookes charges forward with the Yakuza Kick in mind once again. It is avoided yet again. The catch king is scooped up in to a Powerslam position however counters down in to the Octopus Stretch. The hold is locked in. Whilst he has the submission applied, the babyface manages to nail him in the ribs with some elbows too. Chief Deputy Dunne is in agony and taps out. Chris Brookes picks up the victory against one-half of the EPW British Tag Team Champions just a week ahead of their title bout. This has to be a huge confidence boost for the challengers. As his arm is raised, Kid Lykos joins the celebrations. Dunne and Smile are not happy as they exit up the ramp. They turn round to take one last look at the #1 contenders. Dave Finlay and Robbie Brookside are stood outside William Regal's office when The Alpha Bastards approach. The two stooges tell the tag team that the commissioner has been expecting them before allowing them to enter. The camera follows and the boss doesn't look happy at them. He tells them that he gave them one thing to do last week and that was to take out Pete Dunne. As he stands up from his chair, he gets in their faces whilst relaying the previous week's events. Regal claims he has no time for weak links. Mastiff then turns on his partner and reminds the commissioner that it wasn't him who allowed himself to get jumped backstage before the match started. Rees then fires back that if he had been the one in the ring with The Bruiserweight then he would have got the job done. The boss then yells at them to shut up. He had planned on using his 'executive influence' to give them a tag team title shot but they have proven that they aren't up to it after making fools of themselves last week. Iestyn Rees tells Regal that he's done kissing ass and he can stick his title shot. As he goes to leave, Dave Mastiff blasts him from behind. The 315lb monster then launches him in to the wall before stomping a mud hole in to him. He then turns to the commissioner whilst yelling 'IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?!' The Bastard From The Black Country is then told to get rid of the dead wood and then they can talk. After shaking hands with the commissioner, Mastiff drags Rees out of the door to presumably throw him out of the venue. This looks like the end of The Alpha Bastards and it could very well be the end of Iestyn Rees in English Pro Wrestling. Tyler Bate vs. Mark Haskins (with Vicky Haskins) Earlier tonight we learned that Travis Banks was willing to put his Battle For The Briefcase title shot on the line to get his hands on his arch-rival. Mark Haskins entered the ring looking very smug with his wife Vicky Haskins in tow. The Hellbent Anti-Hero is intent on taking The Kiwi Buzzsaw's golden opportunity from him however he has a tough task ahead this evening. Tyler Bate is one of the best up and comers in British wrestling period. The 20-year old prodigy is a former EPW British Tag Team Champion and one of the finest technical athletes on the roster. As the match kicks off, the two combatants put on a wrestling clinic for a good three to four minutes. It is fairly even however Tyler eventually manages to get the upper hand when he pulls off a Seated Dropkick. He follows up with a Running Forearm, a Dropkick and an Airplane Spin. Haskins quickly escapes afterwards in to the arms of his wife at ringside. Bate teases a Suicide Dive however Vicky pushes Mark to safety. Tyler Bate being the gentleman that he is didn't dive. The Malvern based heel rushes back in to turn the tables with a Discus Elbow Smash to the back of the head. He then targets the right leg with some ground-based offence before applying a Stretch Muffler. The submission is effective. Bate isn't even close to tapping though. He eventually rolls out of it and snatches back the momentum with a Rebound Lariat. Haskins tries to fight back with a Clothesline. Tyler ducks and floors him with an Exploder Suplex. The fiery babyface then takes to the top rope to pull off an incredible Corkscrew Senton Bomb for a near fall. He then tries to follow up with the Big Swing however Haskins manages to roll out in to a Death Valley Driver for a two count of his own. The angry antagonist unleashes several stomps and then blasts his opponent in the skull with a game-changing Running Double Knee Smash in to the corner. The Iron Master looks seriously dazed. The Hellbent Anti-Hero is not done yet though. He nails his opponent with repeated knee drops to the back. McGuinness cites that he has that Low Sharpshooter finisher in mind. Tyler eventually staggers to his feet. He is majorly groggy though. As he tries to grab his opponent, he falls to one knee and is dropped with the Kiwi Crusher. Travis Banks will be watching this fuming that his rival has just nailed his signature move. The former fan favourite then applies the Low Sharpshooter. Tyler Bate looks for a way out. The submission is locked on slap bang in the middle of the ring though and he has no alternative but to tap out. Mark Haskins is the winner. The crowd don't like it one bit. As the official tries to raise his arm, he snatches his hand back and exits up the aisle. The Hellbent Anti-Hero has his match next week in mind. Tonight has proved he is focused. As we return from our final commercial break, we hear the voice of Zack Gibson echo from the backstage area. The crowd go nuclear as the most hated man in the company walks out from the curtain with a microphone in hand. After claiming to be Liverpool's Number One, he predicts that he will soon be recognised as English Pro Wrestling's number one and then will go on to become the world's number one. The Grizzled Young Veteran declares that now he doesn't have to carry any dead wood around, he is the hottest commodity in the singles division. Apparently it's only a matter of time before he takes his place as EPW British Undisputed Champion. The fans go ballistic as Rampage Brown appears at ringside. The Master of the Piledriver has jumped the barricade with an evil look in his eye. He slides in to the ring and Gibson turns around to go face-to-face with the heavyweight. The Liverpudlian nervously tells Rampage that he hopes that he wins the belt next week. As Rampage vacantly stares him down, Gibson holds out his hands for a handshake. The powerhouse from Leeds looks around at the fans to seek their opinion but then chooses to shake it. Gibson then yells at the fans in Bath that Rampage Brown is smart and knows that he is a superior human being to everybody in the building tonight. Rampage then quickly drags him in to nail him with the Leaping Piledriver. Liverpool's Number One is out like a light. The EPW British Hardcore Champion stands over his body with his arms raised in the air. 'Beast' by Neil McDougall then plays and out stomps Big Damo. The EPW British Undisputed Champion steps in to the ring to which he and his arch-nemesis exchange a few words. They cannot get physical though otherwise the title unification bout next week will be cancelled. What Damo can do is lock Zack Gibson in the Cu Chullain's Wrath with absolutely no remorse. After the victim has passed out, the two heavyweights go face-to-face once again before security hit the ring. It appears that no punches will be thrown but it is better to be safe than sorry. Only one monster will be left standing next week when the two collide in a Last Man Standing Match. The Front Office (with William Regal) vs. Doug Williams & Alex Shane The fans were thrilled to see the return of two legends earlier on. They are even more excited to see them return to the ring. Doug Williams is the first out and he is in terrific shape. The Anarchist sure hasn't been skipping days at the gym whilst being semi-retired. Alex Shane is also looking as big as ever. The Showstealer takes to the ropes as the fans sing along to the words of the chorus of his famous theme song. Dave Finlay and Robbie Brookside enter together with William Regal right behind them. As they step in to the ring, he puts on a headset at ringside to join the commentary team. Ranallo and McGuinness politely shake his hand however Hendry is desperate to praise the commissioner as soon as he comes down to ringside. The match begins with some chain wrestling between Williams and Brookside which the crowd appreciate. The Wildcat soon tags out to The Belfast Bruiser when his opponent gets the upper hand. Finlay tries to keep up with Doug however is forced to resort to some more heavy-handed tactics. He nails a European Uppercut, a Double Foot Stomp and a Short-Arm Clothesline. The heels then isolate their man in the corner with multiple tags and double team moves. Finlay scoops Williams up for a Kneeling Reverse Piledriver. The Anarchist manages to escape and delivers a European Uppercut of his own. After dropping the brawler with a Running High Knee, he then climbs the ropes to execute the Bomb Scare Knee Drop for a two count. Alex Shane is then tagged in. Finlay quickly tags in Brookside who walks straight in to a Clothesline, a Big Boot and then a Chokebomb for a two count. The Showstealer then teases the One Night Stand before The Wildcat takes him out with a Chop Block. He then quickly pulls off his finisher; the Iconoclasm. McGuinness jokes that it is the first time he has seen that in years before Hendry quickly defends the move as 'one of the greatest manoeuvrers in British wrestling history'. William Regal watches on as his stooges regain the momentum and beat down Alex Shane in the ring. Finlay catapults Shane in to the turnbuckles. The referee was in the way though. The official is sandwiched between The Showstealer and the turnbuckles. He falls in to a heap which sees the heels take advantage. They both jump the legal man however Williams is quick to even the odds. William Regal then dumps down his headset and rushes over to ringside. He passes Robbie Brookside over some brass knuckles to huge heat from the crowd. The commissioner orders him to strike their opponents. 'Bruiserweight' by CFO$ then blares over the speakers to the biggest pop of the night. Pete Dunne charges down the aisle with his sledgehammer in hand. He chases Regal around the ring before the commissioner flees up the aisle. Dunne blasts both members of The Front Office with his sledgehammer. Some redemption for the attack last week. As he leaves the ring, he leans his trademark sledgehammer over his shoulder and walks back up the aisle. Regal soon disappears to the back with an angry look on his face. Meanwhile, Alex Shane hooks the leg of Robbie Brookside. The referee eventually shows signs of live. He counts three. Doug Williams and Alex Shane are victorious. As the fans cheer, they take to the turnbuckles to celebrate. Pete Dunne took his chance to gain revenge on the men that attacked him last week. Regal's authority has once again been disrespected. What will the consequences be? The show ends with the fans in Bath giving Williams and Shane a standing ovation whilst Finlay and Brookside stagger to the back. |

Not surprised KLR wouldn’t want any if Viper, especially right after Viper came of a win. With Regal’s heel turn his theme’s more fitting now. Nice involvement with Alex Shane and Doug Williams. Not sure how they’ll do against Regal’s crew, but good to see people from the old guard wanting to do what they feel is right, even if Regal makes the stakes high. Hopefully with what went down in the Brooks/Deputy match happens again when the gold is on the line. Saw Rees’ release before checking out the show, but forgot about it until the segment with him and his former partner wrapped up. Rough way for him to be shown the door. Gotta feel for Zack Gibson being pwn’d by the Hardcore and Heavyweight champions like that. Good thing Shane and Williams won, albeit with a huge assist to Pete Dunne and his ‘little friend.’ Had it gone the other way who knows how Shane and Williams would have reacted. |
