Veda Scott def. Asrial Major w/Kris Wolf in a Survival Qualifying match Scott picked up the win with her plex express. With the win she moves on to the Survival match. Unfortunately for Major, she won’t be. Chuck Taylor w/ Emma Matthews def. Alex Bryce w/Act Yasukawa to win the Ironman Championship Taylor’s reign was a short one as Big T jumped him post-bell, allowing Zack Ryder to pin Taylot and win the belt. The two left the arena immediately after the belt changed hands. Yoshiko def. a local competitor This marks Yoshiko’s first match back since her eye injury at the hands of then Queen of the Ring Kana. On the Showcase Yoshiko made it clear she wants Kana in the women’s Survival match, which their paths might cross as Kana managed to qualify. Her opponent gets a few shots of her own, but after a failed attempt at a double leg takedown things go downhill for the person until Yoshiko forces her to submit to a kimura lock. Alex Shelley w/Chris Sabin def. Damien Sandow w/Dean Martin With one of the MCMG’s challengers in action later tonight, it’s only fair that one of them is as well. Sandow’s apprentice does a good job in diverting the referee’s attention to give Sandow an advantage, but he goes to the well once too often and Sabin makes him pay. Shelley manages to come out on top, finishing off Sandow with the Automatic Midnight. Nick Watts w/ James R. Kennedy def. Kenny Omega Jericho came down for guest commentary and their was confrontation at the table when the action spilled to the outside and Omega spit in Jericho’s face. Omega returned to the ring and it looked like Jericho was going to go after him, however as he was being held back by referee Jimmy Korderas, Kennedy snuck in the ring and delivered a low blow. Omega dropped and Kennedy quickly vacated the ring before the referee could spot him. Watts with the cover and the referee rushes back into the ring after Jericho points out the pin. Despite the low blow, Omega attempts to kickout, but it’s just a little bit late, Watts wins. Jericho returns to the locker room after the match, but before he goes states that he hopes Omega’s mad, because he wants Omega to give him all that he has, and at Survival he will not only send Omega over the top rope, but also send him packing for good. The Rock def. Derek Wylde w/Tye Dillinger At the start of the show Wylde was shown speaking with Eric Bischoff earlier in the afternoon, requesting a match to get him ready for his team’s tag title match at Survival, but not just any opponent will do. He means business and asks Bischoff for The Rock. Bischoff asks Wylde if he’s sure, which Bischoff likes the confidence he hears. There was no doubt on who the winner of the match would be, however Wylde did get a near fall following a top rope dropkick, though that is as close as he would come as the Rock put him away with the Rock Bottom and the People’s Elbow. The Motor City Machine Gunns did guest commentary and liked the effort they saw from one half of their challengers, but wonder how fast he’ll be able to recover before their match. Before the show closes The Rock plugs his match with Barrett, telling the bearer of bad news to shiny up the belt for his date with destiny. Rock also turns to the Motor City Machine Guns and tells them to do the same, because The Rock knows championship material when he sees it, and even though Derek Wylde did not succeed tonight, he feels that both Wylde and Dillinger have what it takes to become the new XCW Tag Team Champions. He raises Wylde’s hand before leaving the ring. Wylde watches the Rock go up the runway before he and Dillinger lock eyes with the tag champs to close the show. |

- Happy to see Zack Ryder win back the Ironman Championship. He is possibly my favourite in the division right now. - Yoshiko looked strong in her return match despite it only being against a local competitor. Kana better watch her back. - Disgusting display by Kenny Omega spitting in Chris Jericho's face. No one wants to see that. Nick Watts got very lucky. - Another win for The Rock. He sure is looking the favourite going in to his title bout. Classy display after the match too. |
