-Dark Match-
Heath Slater def. Super Cosmos to retain the Ironman Championship
Following the bell Tye Dillinger attempted to go for the belt, bringing referee Amy Kanazki with him. Zack Ryder had the same idea as he came out with referee Chris Truax. The two men ended up fighting each other, allowing Slater to escape further harm. The two officials managed to keep the wrestlers apart. Big T was there as well and he handed Ryder a mic after calling for one. Ryder asks Dillinger if he’s serious bro for interrupting his chance at regaining the Ironman Championship. Ryder states that it’s HIS belt. Dillinger mentioned that he does not see Ryder’s name on it…he doesn’t even see Slater’s name on it either now he thinks about it. Dillinger tells Slater if he strongly believes that he is truly the man around here to back it up in this ring tonight. Ryder talks it over with Big T for a short moment before accepting the challenge.

-Showcase taping-
Nick Watts w/James R. Kennedy defeated a local area wrestler
Watts came out with the Internet Championship belt and left it with Kennedy during the match, who did guest commentary. During the match Kennedy mentions that he hasn’t heard from Sami Zayn or Jack Swagger on the champ’s, referring to Watts, offer, but he has a feeling both men will show up at Full Metal. Not shown to the live crowd, but did make the show when it aired, Jim Cornette and James R. Kennedy have a crossing of paths backstage. Cornette asks Kennedy what he and Watts are trying to prove by taking Zayn’s belt. Kennedy explains that it’s Watts backing up what he’s always said, he does whatever he wants and if he wants something he will take it. Cornette can appreciate that Watts is one that isn’t just all talk and backs up his words with action, however he mentions that punks like Watts need to be taut a lesson in respect and he tells Kennedy that at Full Metal Jack Swagger will smack Watts back to the stone age. Kennedy replies with a “We’ll just see about that” as he backs away.

Chuck Taylor w/Emma Matthews def. Katie Lea
Shortly after the bell sounded to start the match Taylor asked referee Chris Truax for time, but wouldn’t get a timeout called. Matthews got the apron to demand one for him, however Taylor tagged her in and told the referee he’ll be right back. He takes off and Matthews wrestles in his place. In what was evenly fought between the ladies, Katie went for a pin after grounding Matthews with the ice breaker, but the official would not make a count, ruling a tag was made as Chuck Taylor, now in drag, returned to the ring and made a blind tag when Matthews was shot off the ropes. Katie asked the ref what he was talking about, until she got pulled into Chuck Taylor’s foot, who planted the reigning Intercontinental Champion with some sole food. Taylor with the pin and the win. Following the bell Matthews and Taylor celebrated the win, and Matthews grabbed Katie’s Intercontinental Championship belt and gave it to Taylor and they left with it. Not shown to the live crowd, but did make the show when it aired, Natalya caught up with both Matthews and Taylor backstage and demanded they return the belt. Taylor says he shouldn’t have to, saying he pinned Katie Lea fair and square, and that losers shouldn’t have championship belts. Natalya can’t argue with that logic, however she tells them she does have an idea. This coming week on the Action Zone both Chuck Taylor and Emma Matthews will team up against Katie Lea and a partner of her choosing. Whoever scores the winning fall is the champion. Both seem okay with that. They turn to leave when they see Zack Ryder and Big T passing by. Taylor notices he has a belt in his hands and has brain fart, forgetting for a moment he is holding the Intercontinental belt and not the Ironman belt, and not wanting any trouble he hands the belt to Ryder before taking off with Matthews following. Ryder comments he doesn’t know what that was about but he’ll take it, which Big T comments that isn’t the belt they’re looking for. Ryder looks disappointed and hands the belt to Natalya.

Zack Ryder w/Big T def. Tye Dillinger
The involvement between Dillinger and Ryder that went down at the start of the evening is referenced on the show. Dillinger was in control until he was tripped up near the ropes by Big T. Referee Jimmy Korderas looked in Big T’s direction after seeing Dillinger suddenly fall, but sees the big man looking the other way. Dillinger manages to get back to his feet, however Ryder capitalizes on the opening and grounds Dillinger with the zack attack to score the pinfall.

The main show kicks off with an on location pre-recorded edition of the Kevin Steen Show. Like he did last week, Steen welcomes the fans to his show, he’s our host, and soon to be our next world champion, which he then briefly ways in on tonight’s main event chain match by stating the winner of that match in the end will be him as he predicts Smith and Rage will destroy each other and both of them will be nowhere near 100% come Full Metal. He then introduces and welcomes his guest this evening, Kenny Omega. Steen brings up last week’s show where Jericho was in the chair that Omega is in, and gives Omega a chance to respond to his opponent’s comments. Omega heard everything Jericho had to say. He’s heard it before, which he expected more from someone who claims to be a hit musical artist, however he feels Jericho is becoming, if not already is, a broken record. Omega cannot deny his loss at Season’s Beatings, and that memory is something he needs to erase, but with how predictable Chris Jericho can be, Omega wonders how Jericho stays relevant. Omega calls that a great mystery, one that not even the great Sherlock Holmes can solve, but Omega knows that he can solve it. Steen asks Omega to expand on that, which Omega tells Steen if it wasn’t for the fact that there is a camera present he would gladly do so. If it wasn’t for the order by Eric Bischoff to keep away from the ring until Full Metal then he wouldn’t mind sharing a little preview of what he plans to do to Jericho. Jericho is already thinking ahead, which is also not surprising to Omega. Omega admits that nobody has gotten him to think about an upcoming match as Jericho has, which Omega thanks Jericho for opening his mind as he sees things that he never thought possible. Omega is counting down the days until their last man standing match. Steen asks Omega if he has anything he wants to say to fans, which Omega tells them that if they are wise they will go out and purchase any piece of Chris Jericho merchandise they can find, because once he solves the great mystery known as Y2J, anything with Jericho’s name on it will become a collector’s item. They can wear the shirt of their fallen hero and remember the good old days, but that will mean nothing to him. All Omega cares about is two things, the first being that Full Metal is where the career of Chris Jericho goes to die…and from the ashes will rise the phoenix that is the evolved Kenny Omega. Steen wishes Omega good luck in his match before telling the fans that Steen’s guest next week will be one of his Hell in a Cell opponents, The Miz.

Kana w/Karen Sato vs Natalya
The winner will move on to the ladder match at Full Metal. Referee Eddington James knew the importance of the match, thus kept an eye on Karen Sato more so than normal. He was right in his suspicion as Natalya looked to pin Kana following a nicely executed release german suplex, however as the referee was making the count Karan placed the foot of Kana under the bottom rope. Karen got the break, but she also got ejected. She got up on the apron to protest, however Natalya grabbed hold of her, and with the crowd’s approval knocked Karan down with a hard right hand. When she turned her attention back to the match Kana was back on her fist and caught Natalya in the face with some green mist. This was barely missed by the referee and Kana pulled Natalya into a small package, stealing the pinfall win. Kana quickly slides out after the bell. Natalya manages to get back to her feet and starts swinging, unable to see but wanting to strike Kana, though ends up tagging the referee in the side of the head. Eddington James decides to get out of the way in case if Natalya does the same again, despite the evidence being clearly visible on her face. This takes the show to its first commercial break of the night.

When the show returns, area wrestler Tom Morton is in the ring, having made his entrance during the break. After he’s introduced by name the live crowd shows their respect for his opponent when the video screen shows the words ’24 Karat Pictures presents…A Shattered Dreams production” along with the iconic theme for the one known as Goldust. As Goldust make his entrance Don Callis states that he does not need to mention Goldust’s accomplishments as anyone who calls themselves a wrestling fan should know the name of Goldust, and those fans that are new he tells them to google his earlier years.

Tom Morton vs Goldust
Everyone in attendance knew what to expect from the living legend and he did not disappoint. Referee Eddingon James did his homework on Goldust and warned him as Morton was set up in the corner during the later stages of the bout, ordering him not to go through with the infamous shattered dreams lowblow. Goldust ran in anyway, but instead connected with a corner clothesline. Morton staggered out of the corner and was quickly grabbed by Goldust, who applied a cobra clutch and took him down and applied a body scissors. Don Callis comments on the name of the hold Goldust gave it as Morton taps out, saying “ Hush hush good night sweet charlotte.” Goldust releases the hold after the bell tolls as the fans give their approval, who chant “You still got it.”

Not long after Goldust leaves the ring, Hutch Henries is shown standing by with Alex Bryce. Bryce and Hutch were watching the match on the monitor and Bryce ways in with what he just saw. He agrees with the fans that Goldust still has it. Bryce knows the impact Goldust has made on the sport, both now, and when the world got their first glimpse of the bizarre one and that very few have been able to do what he’s done and succeed. Even though there are times he knows that Goldust wants to separate himself from it, he knows that the blood that flows through Goldust’s veins has a deep history in the sport, which everybody also knows the impact that Dusty Rhodes has made in wrestling, which adds that he wouldn’t be here today most likely if he wasn’t for Dusty Rhodes, which Hutch Henries states the same about himself. Bryce continues that it is clear by the reaction given tonight that Goldust is still highly respected by many, including himself, which is why out of respect he is issuing a challenge to Goldust. While his in-ring career is only a fraction of what Goldust’s is, he’s had the opportunity to face some of the top names in wrestling both here and abroad, and the only way he improve himself and move up the ladder is seek those who have put in the miles and test himself against them. He mentions that both on his tour in Japan and back home he faced wrestlers of various skill, and when someone with name recognition like Goldust comes around, one would be foolish to waste what would be…a golden opportunity. Hutch sees what Bryce did there, but mentions he would like to see that match happen.

Eric Bischoff is in his office speaking with the current Canadian National Champion Brian Kendrick. Bischoff informs Kendrick that he’s been in contact with The Rock this past week about the match both men agreed to last week and he shows Kendrick a match contract. Bischoff mentions that the Rock has already signed, and all Kendrick has to do to make it official is to do the same. Kendrick wastes no time in doing so, stating he’s been waiting for a match like this his entire career. He signs it and once the deed is done Bischoff informs him the match between Kendrick and Rock is now official and it will happen at Full Metal. Kendrick leaves the office with a look of anticipation. A few seconds after Kendrick leaves camera view, Bischoff’s phone rings. He answers and after a short moment he looks pleased with what he hears. He tells whoever he is speaking with that it was a pleasure doing business.

Before things shift back to the ring, Yoshiko catches up with Natalya, who is attempting to wash the green mist out of her eyes. Yoshiko asks if she’s alright, which Natalya responds that she should be. Yoshiko states that Natalya got off easy, bringing up what happened last year when Kana did the same to her. She pats Natalya on the back before heading on her way.

Ross Stevens and Jeremy Dunn w/Jim Cornette vs The Dudley Boyz
With the Dudleys declaring themselves the number one contenders, they find themselves facing former champions this week. When Cornette and his team make their entrance a pre-record self promo spot airs in a split screen as Cornette explains that the Dudleys were in the right place at the right time when they got their shot at the titles, and he is not one to disagree with the talk that the Dudleys are one of the top teams in the history of the sport, however like the Dudleys, his team have also head the tag team titles here, and also like the Dudleys they want to get them back, so if the Dudleys want to walk around and claim to be the number one contenders then they will have to prove it. Stevens and Dunn manage to hold their own, but the experience of the Dudleys prove to be the difference maker, and they even get Cornette to divert the referee’s attention away long enough for them to give the whassup? To Stevens. Dunn ran in after the double team move, but was tossed to the outside. Stevens fed up and quickly sent back down with the 3D. D-Von with the pin, and the Dudleys win this one. Following the bell, the reigning tag champions are shown having watched the match from the backstage area. Sandow informs Martin that they should make note to avoid what should be an illegal maneuver. His partner agrees, and as they are about to leave a member of the backstage crew comes up to Sandow with a box, stating at this came for him. Sandow looks pleased, and when asked by Martin what’s in the box Sandow reveals to get the better of the Dudleys they should study the tapes, literally, he opens the box to reveal a bunch of VHS tapes. Martin notices they’re tapes of some of the Dudleys earlier matches, which Martin mentions Sandow could have gotten dvds, or even stream previous matches of their challengers. Sandow agrees with that, but states that would be too easy, plus he feels this format with give them an experience that is lost on today’s youth.

Heath Slater is shown leaving the locker room area when he stops to ask venue security to escort him to his car. He dodged a bullet on the pre-show and doesn’t want to risk being jumped for his championship on his way out. Another guard joins the walk from behind, though it’s obvious that it is Tye Dillinger in disguise. He has referee Justin Kronan behind him, whispers for the ref to be quiet. After approaching the car and putting his stuff inside, Slater thanks the guy who he did see with him, though looks surprised to hear someone behind him say “No problem.” Slater turns around and sees Dillinger, and an impromptu fight is on. As they went at it, Zack Ryder was passing by with Big T. They noticed what was going on and joined the battle. Slater had Big T on him when he told the big guy “Dillinger’s got the belt, he’s the one who want.” The bluff worked and Big T turned his attention to Dillinger, who was dealing with Ryder. Slater managed to get hold of the belt and quickly gets in the car and drives off before the jig is up. Big T and Ryder get Dillinger down for a pin, but the referee won’t count and states that Dillinger’s not the champion and Slater is. Ryder and Big T look pretty cheesed off at the news. They talk off and leave Dillinger where he is.

When the show returns following a short break Hutch Henries is shown standing outside of Eric Bischoff’s office, standing by with Bischoff himself. Bischoff is pleased to announce that as of this moment CM Punk has officially signed a contract with the company. He gives Punks manager Paul Heyman credit, calling the bargaining process a little more complex than he was originally expecting. Bischoff also confirm that Punk will debut at Full Metal.

Yoshiko vs Mari Apache
Yoshiko gestures for her opponent to come at her after the bell sounds to start off what is the final qualifying match for the Ladder Match at Full Metal. So far Charlotte, Act Yasukawa, and Kana are in, and the winner of this will join them. As Don Callis runs down Apache’s in-ring resume, Apache is jumped from behind by Kana and Karen Sato. Referee Amy Kanzaki calls for the bell as the assault continues. Yoshiko looks unsure of why Kana and Karen are attacking Apache as the two are quick to toss her to the outside and resume the beating before sending her into the ring steps. The referee goes to check on Apache’s condition after telling the ring announcer her decision, which is becomes clear to Yoshiko than the two intended on screwing her out of a potential shot at the title as by disqualification Apache is ruled the winner. Kana and Karen look back at Yoshiko with a smirk, but soon retreat with speed as Yoshiko steps through the ropes and proceeds to go after them.

A pre-recorded segment featuring the Miz airs after Yoshiko left the ring in pursuit of Kana and her right hand. Like last week he talks about his latest project, though is tight lipped on what it actually is. He does comment on the upcoming chain match between Rage and Smith that is still to take place earlier in the evening. While Kevin Steen’s thoughts on it weren’t made at the time of this recording, he and Miz have a similar mind set that Rage and Smith are foolishly letting their pride get in the way of being smart and conserving their energy for when it counts, but if they want to go at it like dogs and entertain the fans in the process then more power to them. He tells the fans he will give them a reason to tune into next week’s show as he will guest start on the Kevin Steen show, the number two talk show in pro wrestling, and the number one being Miz. Calmly he finishes the spot by saying because he’s the Miz, and he’s awesome.

Before things shift back to the ring, referee Eddington James is in the locker room area with both Harry Smith and Rob Rage. The official reminds both men of the rules for their main event match. The only rule being that the chain must remain connected to both men at all times. Other than no disqualications, no countouts, falls count anywhere. Rage states he has the largest arms in the world and he doesn’t need a chain to put this dog down, however it will make the job way easier and way more fun. Smith tells Rage to laugh all he wants. Smith has been looking forward to this match all week, as it will serve as a preview to what will go down at Full Metal. The two start to exchange words back and forth at the same time, and the referee has the difficult task of keeping between them as things are getting pretty heated back there now.

Matt Hardy w/Jeff Hardy vs Damien Maxwell
Last week the owner of XCW was part of a six man tag in tune up for his match with AJ Styles. This week Bischoff puts him in a singles match, but against a tougher opponent. AJ Styles is shown watching this one on a monitor backstage a couple of times throughout the bout. Both men keep things even, neither one managing to get an extended advantage until Damien has Matt in the corner and gets dumped over the top rope in the middle of delivering ten corner punches. Damien finds his footing, but is dazed momentarily. Matt decides to go high risk as he rushes to the top rope and leaps off, however Damien manages to telegraph it and Matt lands hard against the guard rail. Jeff rushes in to check on Matt, as does the referee. Damien away as this goes on. Referee Eddington James looks like he might stop this one. Before he can even consider the thought he and Jeff are pushed away as Matt gets back to his feet, letting out a loud ‘”Yeeeaaazzzz,” as if landing against the railing woke him up. Before Damien can react to this Matt’s back on him, sending Damien back inside. Don Callis questions what Matt’s skull is made out of as Matt has the tabled turned in his favour. Hardy keeps the offence going until he goes for the twist of fate. Damien escapes the attempt and connects with a lariat, which takes Matt down. Damien quickly grabs hold of Matt before he can get back to his feet and connects with a Canadian destroyer. Damien with the cover, hook of the leg, this one’s over.

When the show returns Hutch Henries catches up with Goldust. Hutch mentions the challenge issued by Alex Bryce earlier in the evening and asks Goldust if he’ll accept. Goldust mentions that while he has not seen Bryce on screen as of yet, he has read the reviews however, and he is intrigued with what he hears. With that being said Goldust accepts the challenge.

Chain Match
Rob Rage vs Harry Smith

As expected, this one was hard hitting between both involved. At point during the bout the two got in a test of strength tug of war like battle, which ended when the wrist strap for the chain on Rage came off. Smith was surprised by this, but before he could react further to it Rage took him down with a spear. Referee Eddington James attempted to get Rage to settle down and to get the strap back on, but Rage would have none of that and sent the referee over the top rope. Rage picked up the chain and wrapped it around Smith’s neck before tossing him over the top rope, but held on to the chain so he could choke Smith out. Rage refuses to let go, even when more referees come out in attempt to put a stop to this. Eventually Rage does let off, causing Smith to fall to the floor. No official decision is announced, however the announcers feel it’ll be a no contest. Rage calls for the mic as the officials check on Smith. Rage states this is what happens when one thinks they can match up and surpass the Supernova of Superstars, when you Rage sees red, you’re dead. He drops the mic and returns backstage. He stops to look down at Smith, with referees between the two of them. As Rage passes he tells Smith “You’re nothing! And I…am everything!” He holds his arms triumphantly to close the show.

- I figured Kana would pick up the cheap win. This upcoming ladder match is definitely going to be a fun bout. The qualifying matches have all been decent too.

- Goldust is a welcome addition to the roster. Liked the new submission he used to end the contest. Interested to see where you go with The Bizarre One.

- The Dudley Boyz are awesome. Was debating bringing them in on a touring deal after GCW closed. Happy to see them win on their arrival as well.

- Yoshiko definitely has revenge in mind. If she plays it smart, she will deal with Karen Sato first so she can get her hands on Kana without interference.

- Love a good chain match. Gutted it was a no contest though. Rob Rage definitely looked like a winner though as the show went off the air.
