RELOADED MATCH #1: Trent Seven defeated Joe Hendry via pinfall with the Seven Stars Lariat. The Corporate Entourage make their way down to the ring after the bell however the winner doesn't stick around to see what they have in store for him. RELOADED MATCH #2: Jinny Couture, Nikki Cross & Bea Priestley defeated Kay Lee Ray, Xia Brookside & Laura Di Matteo via pinfall with a School Girl roll-up for the three count. Jinny's new nickname is The Million Pound Woman after her antics last week. RELOADED MATCH #3: Jimmy Havoc (with Mark Haskins, Bram & Vicky Haskins) defeated Will Ospreay via pinfall when he avoided the Imploding 450 Splash and then drilled his opponent with the Go Home Driver. The show closed with The Sanguinary standing tall. EPW Live #98 The broadcast begins with a video recap of last week's episode showing Viper eliminate Awesome Kong from a Gauntlet Match to earn herself a shot at the EPW British Women's Championship at EPW Live #100: This Is England 2. We also saw Pete Dunne escorted from the building by police and security, Nathan Cruz defeat Trent Seven when he drilled him in the skull with brass knuckles, Drew Galloway vowed to build an army to battle The Corporate Entourage, Zack Sabre Jr. picked up a victory before he and Marty Scurll agreed to go one-on-one in a Submission Match in two weeks, Austin Aries and Jay Lethal revealed that they are working for Shane McMahon's THRIVE promotion, The Aussie Open scored a tag team win over The Glaswegian Assembly with help from new ally Travis Banks and Jack Gallagher challenged Mark Haskins however Bram told him that he would have to get through him to get his hands on the rest of The Sanguinary. We are live in Exeter this evening. Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness are on hand as usual to welcome us and run down the scheduled card; Dahlia Black will be in action, Marty Scurll vs. Noam Dar, Drew Galloway vs. Big Damo and Jack Gallagher battles Bram in tonight's main event. The crowd are whipped up in to a frenzy when 'Bruiserweight' by CFO$ blares over the speakers. Pete Dunne emerges from the back however the fans are shocked to see him wearing a suit. The longest-reigning champion of the modern era is also without his sledgehammer. He also has his head down and is without his trademark scowl. Jim Smallman passes him the microphone as he steps in to the ring. Dunne begins to talk about being worn down by constantly battling against authority every week and last week was the straw that broke the camel's back when he was carted off by police. He admits that he cannot afford for the same thing to happen in two week's time when he gets his long-awaited title shot at EPW Live #100: This Is England 2. The Bruiserweight declares that if him being 'a model employee' is going to ensure he gets what he wants then that's what he is going to have to do. The fans don't agree with his stance. Out walks William Regal with The Corporate Entourage surrounding him on the stage. The boss claims that he knew Dunne would eventually cave in and respect his authority. There is only so much fighting the system you can do and Regal then informs his enemy that he may even have a spot for him in The Corporate Entourage if he's keeps his nose clean. This statement direct an 'ASSHOLE' chant at the commissioner. He yells at them to 'shut up' whilst Pete Dunne can't help but crack a smile in the ring. Regal spots this. Before leaving, he warns The Bruiserweight that he will still have his eye on him. This may be an improvement however Regal doesn't quite trust him yet. The heels walk back through the curtain before Pete Dunne steps out to ringside and makes his way up the aisle. Jim Smallman then steps back in to introduce the competitors to the ring for our opening contest. Drew Galloway vs. Big Damo (with The Corporate Entourage) Pete Dunne may be willing to play by the rules to ensure he gets to his title match in one piece however one man who isn't looking to stay on the right side of authority is Drew Galloway. The Celtic Colossus has expressed his disgust for the upper brass on several occasions and has even challenged three of The Corporate Entourage to face himself plus two partner in a Six Man Tag Team Elimination Match at the upcoming two-hour special; EPW Live #100: This Is England 2. The commissioner has granted the match on behalf of his group. Big Damo, Joe Hendry and Nathan Cruz will be the trio representing the faction at the biggest show of 2018. The Beast From Belfast has been given the task of teaching their newfound enemy a lesson tonight in singles action. He is joined by Hendry, Cruz and William Regal's security team who are all in his corner. This doesn't seem fair at all. Galloway makes his way to the ring on his own and immediately begins to brawl with Damo when he reaches the ring. He takes it to the 320lb monster for a moment before being booted in the gut and launched through the ropes in to the ring post. As Drew drops to ringside, Damo's associates quickly lay in some stomps while the big man distracts the official in the ring. They then throw the Scottish heavyweight back in the ring. Damo lays down some stomps himself. He follows up with a Powerbomb and an Elbow Drop to the chest for a two count. After placing his opponent in a tree of woe position on the turnbuckles, he charges at Galloway with a Running Cannonball in mind. The Celtic Colossus pulls himself up sending Damo crashing back first in to the turnbuckles. Galloway then turns the tables with the Claymore. The leg is hooked. The referee counts. The man beast from Ireland kicks out with authority at two and climbs to his feet straight away. Galloway goes in for the Scot Drop but receives several elbows to the head before releasing his opponent. Damo then blasts his adversary with a stiff headbutt. He then executes the Belfast Blitz for a near fall. As Galloway is dragged up to this feet, Damo tries to trap the arm to drag him down in to the Cu Chullain's Wrath. The Celtic Colossus rolls out, hooks the arms of his opponent and drops him with the Future Shock DDT. The crowd are on their feet. The referee goes down to count. When he reaches two, The Corporate Entourage fill the ring to beat down their mutual enemy. This is a 6-on-1 ambush. The official throws this one out for a DQ. He calls for assistance from the backstage area. Trent Seven is the first person to charge out but he is quickly overwhelmed by the numbers. Suddenly the music of El Ligero plays. The last time he was seen was when he was taken out with a steel chair by Joe Hendry several weeks ago. The Masked Sensation sprints down the aisle with his own chair in hand. He swings the weapon towards the man who took him out but The Prestigious One jumps to the outside to avoid the attack. The high-flyer from Mexico drills each member of the security team with a chair shot to send them bailing to ringside. In the mean time, Galloway and Seven send Cruz over the ropes with a Double Clothesline. Big Damo is the only member of his faction left. El Ligero swings the chair once at his skull. The man beast staggers but doesn't fall. He is struck once again however stands tall. Ligero then runs the ropes and wipes Damo out with a diving chair shot to send him toppling out of the ring. The Corporate Entourage gather together on the aisle. They decide to slowly back away whilst Drew Galloway requests a microphone. The Celtic Colossus declares that it appears he has found himself some team mates for two week's time. As he points at his rivals, he tells them that they better be ready for a war because the three of them intend on bringing the fight to them. His music begins to play and the fans are well behind the babyfaces. They play to the crowd as we head to the first break. Pete Dunne is sat in the locker room watching the show on a monitor. The Bruiserweight has loosened the tie on his suit and taken off his blazer. He doesn't have a match tonight so can relax. The Sanguinary then wander in to approach the #1 contender. Dunne immediately stands up as his rivals enter the room. Mark Haskins gets in his upcoming challenger's face and jokes about how cheap his bargain suit looks. The champion then questions whether everybody's favourite rebel has finally sold out for an easy life. The #1 contender responds with a scowl. The Bruiserweight tells Haskins that a man's got to do what a man's got to do however he will be beating him to reclaim 'his' belt at EPW Live #100: This Is England 2. This statement gets The Sanguinary's backs up. They begin to shove Dunne around before he pulls his trademark sledgehammer from under his chair. As he holds it up to defend himself, the trio back away slightly. Haskins tells Havoc and Bram that they will strike when the time is right. Dunne then puts his weapon of choice down once they've left and utters under his breath 'not if I deal with you first'. The Sanguinary sure riled up Pete Dunne. Things nearly got physical there. It's not often you can say a sledgehammer defused a situation though. Marty Scurll vs. Noam Dar As EPW Live #100: This Is England 2 draws closer, the card is shaping up to be one of the company's most historic. The feud between Marty Scurll and Zack Sabre Jr. has been reignited as of late and they will clash in a Submission Match which is sure to be a classic encounter. Both men are keen to prove to the other that they are the better wrestler. It is hard to make a prediction. The Villain will be in singles action tonight. He makes his way down to boos from the fans in Exeter. His opponent is another submission specialist who could be compared to Zack Sabre Jr. in many ways. Noam Dar enters to cheers. The Scottish Supernova has been receiving some great reaction as of late after some impressive showings recently. He really seems to be maturing as an in-ring performer. The match begins with some chain wrestling. Scurll takes his opponent down to the canvas however they exchange holds in the early stages. The technician from Scotland manages to apply an STF in the middle. Marty manages to counter the move and then pulls off a Rope-Assisted Enzuiguri to turn the tables. He then follows up with a Hesitation Dropkick in the corner, nails him with a Brainbuster and then starts snapping at his fingers one by one. The fans wince at each finger being snapped. Noam Dar rolls over clutching his hand in agony. As he rolls out to ringside, The Villain hops out on to the apron and then blasts him with a Super Kick before rolling him back in for a two count. He approaches for a Crossface Chickenwing when his opponent makes it to his feet. The Scottish Supernova pushes him away. He blasts the inaugural champion with a Discus Elbow Smash on the rebound and then executes the Nova Roller for a two count. With not a lot left in the tank, Noam Dar applies his finishing submission; the Champagne Super Kneebar. Scurll is in tremendous pain. The crowd begin to believe that The Villain can be beaten here. The underdog pulls back on the hold while his opponent pulls himself round in desperation. The mood turns sour when the wiley heel counters and pulls off a rake to the eyes. With Dar staggering back in to the corner, he is then drilled with a Running Corner Dropkick. Marty hoists him up to drop him with the Bird Of Prey. On the way down his opponent reverses it in to a roll-up. The referee counts. He almost reaches three. The former champion kicks out. As he pulls himself up in the corner, Noam comes forward for a Monkey Flip but is blasted with the Just Kidding Superkick. The Villain takes his opportunity. He locks on the Crossface Chickenwing with reckless abandon. It doesn't take his opponent long to tap out and he is tossed to one side when the bell ring. Marty Scurll is victorious. The referee raises his arm but he looks down with a sinister grin. The dastardly submission specialist can't help but apply the Cross Armbreaker. This is the trademark hold of his future opponent Zack Sabre Jr. Two more referees run down to eventually pull The Villain off of his prey. It appears he has sent a message to his arch-rival of anything you can do, I can do better. We will find out if that's the case at EPW Live #100: This Is England 2. Jennifer Louise is standing by in the backstage area where she is joined by The C.C.K. She questions the reigning EPW British Tag Team Champions about their feeling towards Austin Aries and Jay Lethal who jumped the barricade to attack them three weeks ago and then last week declared that they are working for THRIVE owner Shane McMahon. Chris Brookes looks fired up. The grappler from the Midlands was excited when he heard about the launch of THRIVE Wrestling and thinks that Shane McMahon is going to do great things going forward. He appreciates that they need to make a statement however he doesn't appreciate them doing at the expense of English Pro Wrestling. For almost two years this locker room has created a buzz that not only spreads up and down the United Kingdom but has travelled around the globe. As champions they represent EPW with pride. Brookes declares that they refuse to roll over and let Aries & Lethal use them to get in their new boss' good books. They challenge the outsiders to come to EPW Live #100: This Is England 2 to face them for the EPW British Tag Team Championships. Chris Brookes finishes up by telling his newfound rivals that they don't intend on letting the company down that gave them the platform to become the best tag team on the continent. Jennifer Louise thanks the duo for their time. Dahlia Black vs. Madison Eagles (with Australasian Strong Style) Travis Banks and The Aussie Open walk out on to the stage to nuclear heat. The Kiwi Buzzsaw has a microphone in hand and welcomes out the newest member of their group; Madison Eagles. The Punisher joins her new allies as they make their way down the aisle to the sound of Run The Jewels – Close Your Eyes. Once they reach the ring, Banks begins to take digs at TK Cooper for the third week in a row. The last time we saw his former friend and tag team partner was when Travis beat him down backstage at EPW Live #95: Winds Of Change. He continues to run him down however is interrupted by TK's girlfriend Dahlia Black. The former EPW British Women's Champion has had enough of seeing her man get verbally trashed every week. Now she has someone to take it out on in the form of Madison Eagles. Dahlia immediately wipes her opponent out with a Running Spear when she reaches the ring and hammers her with some right hand. She then thrusts her in to the corner to choke her with her boot. Jessika Carr pulls her off at the five count. Eagles then charges out of the corner to pull her adversary down with a Running Neckbreaker. As Black sits up, she is nailed with several shoot kicks to the chest. She is then dragged up and drilled with a Brainbuster for a two count. The Punisher continues to control the match for a could of minutes. Travis Banks, Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher look impressed with their new stablemate. The 15+ year pro from Sydney places her opponent up on the top rope. She attempts her trademark German Superplex. Dahlia manages to land on her feet and turns the tables with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. The ex-champ who lost her title just a few weeks ago still has plenty of life in her as she locks on the Kiwi Cloverleaf. As she pulls back, Madison debates whether to tap or not but finds the strength to pull herself to the ropes while her three new associates cheer her on. Dahlia Black decides it is time to go up high for her finisher; the Dark Side of the Moonsault. The Aussie Open both head up to the apron to distract the referee on the other side of the ring. Jessika Carr demands they go to the backstage area immediately. While her back is turned, Travis Banks slides and drags his ally's opponent off the ropes by her hair. The Kiwi Buzzsaw quickly executes the Kiwi Crusher before scurrying to the outside. Davis and Fletcher conveniently stop distracting the official. Eagles climbs up to drop Black with her Death Valley Driver on to the knee finishing move; the Hellbound. She hooks the leg. The damage has been done. Jessika Carr counts three. Madison Eagles has her arm raised as the winner. Travis Banks joins her in the ring to congratulate the newest member of Australasian Strong Strong. He then raises her arm himself as the fans shower them with boos. William Regal is sat behind his desk with Big Damo, Joe Hendry and Nathan Cruz all talking in his office. In walks his security team who have Awesome Kong with them. The reigning EPW British Women's Champion expressions her frustration at what went down last week. Kong claims that she is the alpha female of the women's division and Viper should be treating her with the respect she rightfully deserves. The two will be going one-on-one for the title at EPW Live #100: This Is England 2. The commissioner reminds her that she will get her chance at revenge in two weeks. He even ups the ante by making it a No Holds Barred Match. The champ seems happy about it. The boss then thanks her for joining English Pro Wrestling and elevating the women's division. Kong then says she isn't her to kiss his ass like all the men in this room. She intends on kicking ass and she intends on holding on to the belt for a long time coming. The self-proclaimed alpha female then storms out of the boss' office. Joe Hendry jokes that we could have finally found a girlfriend for Big Damo. The Beast From Belfast doesn't look happy and grabs The Prestigious One around the throat. The rest of The Corporate Entourage quickly pull back the Irish heavyweight. Hendry clears his throat, apologises and then claims he was only joking around. Regal demands they shake hands which they eventually do. Jack Gallagher vs. Bram The beef between these two stems from a few weeks ago when Jimmy Havoc decided to start a crusade of his own in which he enlisted the help of Bram to assault Jack Gallagher from behind at EPW Live #95: Winds Of Change. The two aligned themselves with EPW British Undisputed Champion Mark Haskins to form The Sanguinary. The Extraordinary Gentleman has been one of the only men on the roster to stand up to the group. Some would call him brave. Some would call him stupid. He challenged the champion to a match however Bram accepted instead claiming that there would be nothing left of the former champion once he is done with him. The Chesterfield Plague is the first to make his way down to the ring. There is no doubt that this newcomer is one of the most physically imposing men on the roster. He wastes no time in shouting at the fans in the front row when he reaches the ring. Jack Gallagher is welcomed with an arena full of cheers. The Extraordinary Gentleman is an unorthodox competitor and he is going to have to pull some tricks out of the bag if he wants to walk out with the victory. As he steps up to the turnbuckle to salute the fans, he dives on to Bram with a Diving Crossbody to get this match started. Gallagher attempts the ten punches in the corner. He is soon shoved down and then wiped out with a Running Clothesline. The heavyweight then nails a Short-Arm Clothesline, an Elbow Drop and a Vertical Suplex dropped in to a Neckbreaker Slam for a two count. After the big man launches the ex-champ in to the turnbuckles, he nails him with repeated kicks to the gut before rolling him down in to a Chin Lock with a Bodyscissors. The crowd boo whilst their hero is down. He begins to show some fight though and escapes the hold. Bram grabs him by the hair but is then blasted with a headbutt out of nowhere. The Sanguinary's muscle staggers back. He is groggy. Gallagher uses this advantage to battle back. He pulls off a Twisting Bodyscissors Monkey Flip, a Running European Uppercut in to the corner and then drags his opponent down with a Guillotine Choke. Bram is in pain. He uses his strength to stand though. The big man eventually grabs a rope before throwing his opponent off of him. The Chesterfield Plague retains momentum with a Spinning Heel Kick. The heavyweight takes great delight in playing with his opponent. Bram then executes a Spinning Fireman's Carry Cutter for a near fall. His frustration shows when he starts yelling at the referee. Jack Gallagher recovers and then blasts his opponent with the Gentleman's Dropkick from behind. The Extraordinary Gentleman did not know the official was in front of Bram meaning that Steve Lynskey was caught in the cross fire. With the referee down, it doesn't take long for Mark Haskins and Jimmy Havoc to rush down with evil intentions. Jack Gallagher tries to fight them off however they get the better of him. The duo repeatedly stomp down on him whilst Bram recovers. They then throw him to the proverbial wolf who executes the Brighter Side of Suffering. Bram makes the cover. He looks over at the referee who still isn't moving. The crowd then goes nuts when 'Bruiserweight' by CFO$ blares over the speakers. Pete Dunne jogs down with his sledgehammer in hand. The Sanguinary all try to attack him but are floored with a shot to the skull with Dunne's trademark weapon. He looks round at the cheering crowd before dumping Gallagher on top of Bram. As The Corporate Entourage begin to make their way down the aisle, The Bruiserweight quickly escapes through the crowd. They try to chase him. The referee shows signs of movement in the ring. He crawls over and counts. The fans in attendance count along. It's a three count. Jack Gallagher is the winner. He slowly climbs to his feet whilst his music is played. The show closes with him climbing up to the top turnbuckle and saluting the cheering crowd in Exeter. |

Regal’s wise not to trust Dunne’s new look. After a few seconds or so after Dunne came I had a feeling this may be a setup of some kind. Good see Drew getting guys willing to help him out in the six man tag. Got a slight feeling the outcome of said match may result in the big man leaving Regal’s group. Regal making the women’s title match a no holds barred match is a good decision. Got a slight kick out of Hendry’s joke (good thing Kong didn’t hear that though). Even though it resulted in Gallagher picking up the win, didn’t expect Dunne’s new image to last. |
