RELOADED MATCH #3: Drew Galloway defeated Nathan Cruz via pinfall with the Future Shock DDT.

EPW Live #99

The broadcast begins with a video recap of last week's episode showing Jack Gallagher defeating Bram with help from Pete Dunne. We also saw the upcoming Awesome Kong vs. Viper title match given the No Holds Barred stipulation, Australasian Strong Style's newest member Madison Eagles was victorious in her debut outing against Dahlia Black, The C.C.K challenged invaders Austin Aries & Jay Lethal to face them in a tag team match, Marty Scurll scored a submission over Noam Dar and Drew Galloway revealed Trent Seven and the returning El Ligero as his allies in his fight with The Corporate Entourage. Tonight's show comes to you live from the Plymouth Pavilions in front of a venue record setting crowd of 4,000. Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness are behind the announce desk to welcome the viewing audience. We are just one week away from the biggest show in company history; EPW Live #100: This Is England 2. Only two matches have been scheduled for this evening. Travis Banks takes on Mike Bailey and #1 contender Viper will be in action. Jennifer Louise also sat down with Zack Sabre Jr. and Marty Scurll earlier on for a face-to-face confrontation ahead of their Submission Match next week.

'Regality' by Jim Johnston blares across the arena speakers. William Regal walks out on to the stage surrounded by The Corporate Entourage. The commissioner has a microphone in hand and requests the fans show him some respect. They direct an 'ASSHOLE' chant at him which angers him. Eventually the boss decides to ignore them. He continues by announcing two more matches for this evening's show. Joe Hendry will go one-on-one with El Ligero and he promises that The Prestigious One will dominate The Masked Sensation just like he did at EPW Live #94. This time it will be a Regal's Rules Match too. That's bad news for the high-flyer from Mexico. The main event will see all three members of The Sanguinary battle Pete Dunne & Jack Gallagher in a Handicap Match. Boos fill the arena. The champion gets an opportunity to wear down his upcoming challenger with the numbers in his favour. The Bruiserweight will need to ensure he is on form if he wants to be 100% when he battles for the gold next week. As Regal and his faction leave, Mauro Ranallo also announces that Jimmy Havoc vs. Jack Gallagher has also been added to EPW Live #100: This Is England too.

Travis Banks (with Australasian Strong Style) vs. Mike Bailey
The newest faction on the block added their first female member to their ranks last week when Madison Eagles aligned herself with them before stealing a victory from Dahlia Black thanks to outside interference from her new stablemates. Travis Banks has made it his mission to repeatedly call out TK Cooper over the past several weeks knowing full well that his former tag team partner hasn't been here to answer the challenges posed. He is accompanied to the ring by his new running mates tonight; The Aussie Open and Madison Eagles. Collectively they are known as Australasian Strong Style which is a clear rip-off of the now defunct British Strong Style faction of Pete Dunne, Trent Seven and Tyler Bate. The Kiwi Buzzsaw is in for a tough challenge though. Mike Bailey is one of the hottest free agents in the industry right now. The Canadian native is an exciting high-flyer who is also trained in the art of Taekwondo. He seems to be hot at Banks for his recent behaviour. The two exchange holds once the bell rings. It isn't long before the pace gets faster and Bailey wipes out his opponent with a Spinning Wheel Kick. After Banks quickly rolls back in to the corner, he is hammered with several shoot kicks. Speedball then locks him in a Rope-Hung Boston Crab to a cheer from the crowd. He follows up with a Buzzsaw Kick to the back of the head for a two count. The heel from New Zealand is looking in danger here. Bailey attempts a Dragon Suplex. The Kiwi Buzzsaw counters the move in to a German Suplex. As his opponent sits up, Travis then blasts him with a shoot kick to the chest of his own and follows up by rolling in to a Boston Crab. The submission is locked on. Bailey reaches for the ropes but they are too far away for him to get the break. He wriggles slightly. Banks eventually loses his grip and Speedball turns the tables with a Step-Up Enzuiguri. The high-flyer from Ottawa then charges forward to lock on an Octopus Stretch. The Kiwi Buzzsaw looks like he is going to tap out. He does however Madison Eagles has stepped up on to the apron to distract the referee. As she does, The Aussie Open rush in. Kyle Fletcher breaks the submission with a Running Dropkick. Mark Davis then executes the Pop-Up Powerbomb on the rebound. This gives their leader the time to roll over and lock on the Lion's Clutch. They escape the ring, Eagles drops back down to ringside and Mike Bailey has no other alternative than to tap out. Travis Banks steals a victory. His arm is raised whilst The Aussie Open dispose of his opponent. Australasian Strong Style stand tall. Madison Eagles passes The Kiwi Buzzsaw a microphone. Once again he calls out TK Cooper. Just after he brands his former partner a cowardly loser, 'Without You' by Netsky is heard over the speakers. The man himself walks out on to the stage with a scowl on his face. The crowd go nuts. Cooper points at his former best friend and simply mouths the phrase 'next week'. Banks looks back and nods with a grin on his face. It looks like we have a match on our hands. The longest reigning EPW British Tag Team Champions will go one-on-one at EPW Live #100: This Is England 2.

Pete Dunne is in the locker room warming up for the main event. Jack Gallagher approaches him and the two go face-to-face. The Extraordinary Gentleman takes us back to the main event of EPW Live #50: This Is England when he ended The Bruiserweight's six month title reign at St. Mary's Stadium in what many call the biggest match in the company's history up to this point. Next week, the shoe will be on the other foot as Dunne challenges reigning champion Mark Haskins for the gold. Gallagher explains that he has approached his former rival for two reasons. Firstly he would like to thank the brawler from Birmingham for saving him from a beating at the hands of The Sanguinary last week. Also he would like to wish him good luck for his match next week before extending his hand. It appears Gallagher is trying to bury the hatchet ahead of them tagging up in tonight's handicap main event. Dunne takes one look at Gallagher before declaring that he didn't 'save' his former arch-enemy. The only reason he came down was to send a message to Mark Haskins and that's it. If he had the chance to drill The Extraordinary Gentleman with the sledgehammer as well, he would have done exactly that. The grappler from Manchester withdraws the offer of a handshake. He then tells Dunne that it looks like a leopard never changes its spots. These two stare each other down however they will have to find a way to co-exist if they are to survive in the main event.

Regal's Rules
Joe Hendry vs. El Ligero

At EPW Live #94, Joe Hendry was dead set on showing the fans what he was capable of. The Prestigious One not only defeated El Ligero in singles action but also beat him down with a steel chair after the bell whilst targeting The Masked Sensation's ankle. The high-flyer from Mexico returned to the ring last week to reveal himself as the final member of Drew Galloway's team to fight The Corporate Entourage at EPW Live #100: This Is England 2. He enters with new black ring attire as opposed to his colourful attire that we had become used to. Is this a signal that we are about to see the darker side of El Ligero going forward? The crowd give him a warm welcome back to the ring but he will be hampered by Regal's Rules. This means he can get disqualified however his opponent cannot. Joe Hendry walks down to the ring to an arena full of boos. They are not kind in showing their disdain for the heel from Scotland. Mauro Ranallo comments that neither man has anyone at ringside in their corner so there's a good chance we could see a fair contest. Nigel McGuinness responds by telling his broadcast partner that there's nothing fair about Regal's Rules and there's no rules stopping The Corporate Entourage from interfering. If Galloway and Seven try to intervene though, their ally will be disqualified. The two lock up in the middle. Ligero has no time for chain wrestling though. He is here to get redemption and quickly levels Hendry with a Wheelbarrow Bulldog. As Hendry staggers up, the accomplished freestyle wrestler is nailed with a Dropkick, a Japanese Arm Drag and a Handspring Enzuiguri. The Prestigious One rolls to the outside to retrieve a steel chair and is quick to apply Regal's Rules to the match. He goes to swing it at Ligero but his adversary ducks and then pulls off a Tornado DDT on the rebound. The Masked Sensation then hops up to the top rope with a Diving Crossbody in mind. As he flies through the air, Hendry grabs the chair and waffles his opponent with it. The member of The Corporate Entourage quickly executes the Olympic Slam before hooking the leg. The referee counts. El Ligero gets his shoulder up at the final second. The aggressor is fuming. He drags his rival back in to the middle of the ring to apply his finishing submission; the Ankle Lock. Hendry is obviously trying to re-injure that ankle which he did considerable damage to several weeks ago. The fan favourite does his best to hold on. He finally counters out of it sending Hendry n to the middle rope throat first. After he falls back, the high-flyer jumps out to the apron to pull off his own finisher; the C4L. He makes the cover. The official counts three. El Ligero pulls off the shock victory. The crowd cheer as his music continues to play. The victor has his arm raised but trouble isn't far off. Big Damo and Nathan Cruz jog down the aisle with evil intentions. The Masked Sensation quickly retrieves the steel chair however he can only fend them off on his own for so long. Eventually, Drew Galloway and Trent Seven rush down to even the odds. The brawl between the two teams breaks out. We get a preview of next week's Six Man Tag Team Elimination Match. The babyfaces clear the ring after a minute or so. 'Wish It Away' by Psyko Dalek then plays as Galloway takes to the ropes to point out his three opponents for next week's three-hour special. Seven launches the steel chair back down the aisle at the corporate team who are slowly backing away and Ligero is on the turnbuckles too staring down the trio.

Once we return from the break, we cut to the face off interview between Zack Sabre Jr. and Marty Scurll filmed earlier on today in the middle of the ring in the empty arena. The arena lights are off with just one spotlight beaming down on the ring. Jennifer Louise is conducting the interview with just a table separating the two former champions. Footage is shown of Marty Scurll returning to cost Zack Sabre Jr. his title match against Mark Haskins at EPW Live #95: Winds Of Change. The rivals cannot take their eyes off of each other. The tension is already brewing. Jennifer Louise asks Sabre Jr. how he feels about a man he had tremendous success as a tag team with costing him his opportunity to become the EPW British Undisputed Champion. The Technical Wizard claims that it doesn't surprise or shock him. If anything, he should have been ready for this. He believes that the ongoing animosity between the two began many years ago when the two of them were, as Jennifer alluded to a moment ago, achieving huge success as part of The Leaders of the New School tag team. Zack claims that he was offered to go on a tour of Japan which he took up. This was followed up with success in North America. He doesn't deny that Marty eventually went on to achieve success overseas eventually as well but he doesn't believe he ever forgave him for breaking out as a singles star first. As Scurll is asked for his rebuttal, he slowly takes off his sunglasses before staring a hole in to his upcoming opponent. The Villain laughs and asks him if he really thinks this is about some jealous. He explains that whether the English Pro Wrestling fans like it or not, he has been carrying this company on his back whilst Zack has been 'representing' this country everywhere else. The inaugural champion then asks why he couldn't 'represent' British wrestling right here instead before calling Sabre Jr. a selfish fraud who only cares about himself. The technician from Kent shakes his head. The Villain then slams the table with his fist in anger whilst reminding us of when Sabre Jr. returned at EPW Live #21 to leapfrog his way to the top of the company that he rebuilt. He declares that he won't be letting his former friend turned bitter enemy do that again. Whether the people like it or not, English Pro Wrestling will always be his. Scurll soon sits back down. Jennifer Louise then asks that the two shake hands per the request of William Regal. Zack Sabre Jr. slowly stands to hold out his hand. There is a tense few seconds of Marty Scurll just staring at the hand. His rival then asks '...well?' The Villain finally accepts with a scowl on his face before pulling him in a little. The Technical Wizard then pulls back and tells him that he can do all the shoving he likes. The two men then sit back down without removing the eye contact. We fade to black whilst the stare down continues. As we head back to ringside, Ranallo and McGuinness call that one of the most tense confrontations in this company's history. They go up against one another in a Submission Match with so much pride on the line. Both men fight for their legacies.

Viper vs. Bea Priestley
Awesome Kong is already sat at ringside to watch the following contest. Bea Priestley makes her way down to the ring to her own music and ring attire again. It appears as if The Demonic Sisterhood may have been quietly split. This is a big opportunity for her to prove herself as one of the top females in the company if she can pull off a shock victory. This seems like a near impossible task though. Viper makes her way out looking like she means business. With the champion watching on, the #1 contender has her opportunity of making a statement just one week away from her shot. Priestley approaches her opponent immediately but is blasted with a Headbutt. The Vixen of Violence then follows up with a Corner Slingshot Splash, a Running Powerslam and a Seated Senton. She hangs on for the cover. Jessika Carr counts. Viper then pulls the shoulder up before the third count to signify she isn't done yet. After pointing out the champion at ringside, she hangs her adversary in a tree of woe and then delivers a Running Cannonball in to the corner. There are some crossed words between Kong and Viper. The #1 contender turns her attention back to the match to finally end it with the Viper Driver for the three count. Viper wins convincingly. The challenger dares the champion to come in ahead of their No Holds Barred Match next week. Security are quick to intervene though and don't even allow Awesome Kong time to get in to the ring.

When we return, Jim Smallman is in the ring to welcome the two teams down for the main event when the ring is suddenly invaded by Austin Aries & Jay Lethal. The duo are in THRIVE t-shirts and Aries wastes no time wiping out the ring announcer with a Discus Elbow from behind. He then grabs the microphone to tell the booing fans that 'the real international stars have arrived'. A Double gets straight to business to accept the challenge laid down by The C.C.K for an EPW British Tag Team Championship match next week. Lethal then takes the microphone and says the pair of them don't give a sh*t about the belts. All they care about is the heft bonuses that Shane McMahon is going to give them when they lay those titles on his office desk. 'The Squid and The Wolf' by Hot Tag Media Works blares across the speakers. The champions have had enough. Chris Brookes and Kid Lykos march down the aisle looking to shut the mouths of the THRIVE wrestlers. As they reach the ring, they are immediately attacked and their rivals get the better of them. Aries nails Brookes with a Brainbuster before throwing him out to ringside to thrust him in to the steel steps. His partner executes the Lethal Combination on Lykos before applying the Figure-Four Leg Lock. In the mean time, Aries climbs the ropes and then dives on to the Dirty Wolf with the 450 Splash to end this beat down. They pick up the EPW British Tag Team Championship belts before slowly raising them above their heads. The fans express their disapproval. Could this be the fate of the tag team division?

3-on-2 Handicap Match
The Sanguinary (with Vicky Haskins) vs. Pete Dunne & Jack Gallagher

Three united men take on two partners who don't quite see eye-to-eye. The only thing that brings the babyface team together is their mutual hatred for their opponents. Mark Haskins has been lucky to keep hold of his title since cashing in the briefcase at EPW Live #90: When The Saints March In. The Hellbent Anti-Hero has aligned himself with the relatively new partnership of Jimmy Havoc & Bram who vowed to strike fear amongst the locker room. The group slowly enter to the sound of 'Stitches' by Acid Nymph with Vicky Haskins by their side. The red-headed vixen will also be looking to give her team assistance at any chance she gets. Jack Gallagher walks through the curtain full of energy reading for this difficult task ahead. The Extraordinary Gentleman is cheered on his way down the aisle and thinks better than to step in to the ring without his partner. The crowd erupts when 'Bruiserweight' by CFO$ is heard. They come unglued when Pete Dunne marches down to the ring to kick this match off. The brawl begins immediately to which the heels use their numbers to get the advantage in the early stages. Once the referee gets some order, Gallagher and Bram are the first legal men in the ring. The Chesterfield Plague was beaten on last week's episode by his adversary so takes time to get some revenge. He drills him with a Short-Arm Clothesline, executes an Exploder Suplex and then delivers a Jumping Knee Drop for a two count. The 240lb man beast tags out. In comes Jimmy Havoc who pulls off a Diving Double Foot Stomp whilst his partner holds him in place. He doesn't want to pin him straight away. The King of the Goths wants to wear down his opponent before ending this. After rag dolling Gallagher for a while in a Grounded Sleeper Hold, he pulls off a Roaring Elbow and then stomps him in the gut several times in his team's corner. The champion then tags himself in before confidently coming in to try and finish what his partner had started. Mark Haskins executes a Vertical Suplex Powerslam for a two count. When his opponent finds his feet, he tries to send him down with the Dragon Screw Leg Whip so he can apply his finisher; the Low Sharpshooter. Gallagher counters out of it with an Enzuiguri. He then dives over to the corner to tag in Pete Dunne who is eager to get his hands on the champion. The Bruiserweight storms in however Haskins quickly scurries over to tag out to Bram. The big man comes in with his eye on the #1 contender. He grabs him around the throat and goes to lift him for a Chokeslam. Dunne lands on his feet. The former champion then blasts him with a Forearm Smash, pulls off a Running High Knee and then gets hold of his fingers to pull them back. The fans wince as Bram yells out in pain. The Chesterfield Plague battles back with some strikes. He drags him down in to a Chin Lock with a Bodyscissors as Havoc leans over to tag himself in. While the submission is still applied, The King of the Goths lands on the #1 contender with a Running Senton. He follows up with the Acid Rainmaker for another two count for his team. The Sanguinary just can't seem to put their opponent. Mark Haskins is keen to get back in with his upcoming challenger down. Havoc tags him back in and The Hellbent Anti-Hero drills him with a Hesitation Dropkick in the corner. Haskins then applies the Stretch Muffler which looks to do considerable damage. Dunne fights back with several desperate kicks and then executes a Rolling Release Suplex. As he tries to grab hold of the champ's fingers to bend them back, Vicky Haskins pulls her husband to safety. The Sanguinary then talk tactics at ringside whilst the babyface team argue. Gallagher wants a tag. Dunne wants to remain the legal man. The Extraordinary Gentleman eventually tags himself in which creates friction between the duo. The underdog drags Haskins down in to the Achilles Lock which could easily end this. The hold is broken by Havoc which causes Dunne to rush back in and both teams break in to one huge brawl. The Bruiserweight executes a Tiger Suplex on Jimmy Havoc. Bram then sends himself and Dunne to the outside with a Cactus Clothesline. Amongst all of this, Vicky Haskins managed to pull off a Low Blow through the ropes on Jack Gallagher. The referee didn't spot it. Mark Haskins uses the advantage to quickly pull him down with the Dragon Screw Leg Whip and applies the Low Sharpshooter. His partner tries to slide back in to break it. Dunne is held on to by Jimmy Havoc & Bram on the outside. Just as he breaks free, Gallagher taps out and Haskins quickly escapes the ring. The Sanguinary win the match. The trio and Vicky Haskins all meet at the end of the aisle to celebrate. They begin to back away whilst watching an angry Pete Dunne losing his sh*t in the ring. He then turns round to see the EPW British Undisputed Championship still sat at ringside. Mark Haskins shouts for the referee to get it back for him but the renegade hoists it over his head. The show closes with Pete Dunne throwing the belt from the ring back to his arch-enemy and claiming that he will be taking it back next week.

Some may see it as a slight demotion, some may feel it’s a bit out of place, having Big Damo in the opener of RELOADED is a strong way to kick off the night’s action and give the show some ratings points early on…at least I think it would.

Regal's Rules? Is that anything like Duchess of Queensbury Rules?

Nice to see TK returning (and while I missed in last week’s show at first, it wa s agood sight to see his g/f sticking up for him, even though it was a losing effort). Hopefully he’ll put an end to things at #100.

At least Dunne is honest with what he told Gallagher backstage.

Surprising win for El Lirgero given the situation. Surprised Hendry didn’t use more of the rule set to his advantage than what he did.

Nothing against Bea, but this was simply a warm up for Viper.

The main could have went either way, nothing wrong with the way out he ended. Haskins is lucky to get his belt back before the show went off the air.

Good build up overall for #100, you set the expectations for a major show for you higher than normal, looking forward to it.
