Revolution Wrestling Presents Chapter Eleven: Eddie Guerrero Invitational (Night Two) Undisclosed Location in Chicago, IL. 11.18.17 A rowdy Chicago crowd opens the show with loud "EDDIE" chants as the lovely, Melissa Santos welcomes Chicago to Night Two of the Eddie Guerrero Invitational. She hypes that tonight will see the final six First Round matches to see who goes into the Quarter Finals tomorrow night. Tonight's winner will join Candice LeRae, Rey Fenix, Matt Riddle, Claudio Castagnoli, Pete Dunne, and Pentagon Jr who all qualified last night. Without any further ado, she introduces us to our opening contest of the evening. Match One EGI First Round Match: (Revolution Tag Team Champion) Davey Vega vs. Adam Cole [30 Minute Time Limit] Both men spend more time arguing with the booing crowd rather than their opponent. A fan leads the crowd into a "FUCK THESE GUYS" chant, as both Adam Cole and Davey Vega roll out of the ring and get in the fans face. Corey says that the two opponents seem to be on a cohesive wave right now. The crowd literally boos them out of the building as they both walk off. The crowd pops huge for their exit, chanting "NEXT MATCH PLEASE"! Adam Cole comes back out and demands a microphone. He calls out his scheduled opponent, Davey Vega who comes out to a lot of heat. Cole admits that these fans don't deserve to see two handsome studs like themselves any longer than they already have. But since they don't want to see them wrestle, the best thing they can do to piss them off is wrestle. Davey agrees, saying that makes a lot of sense. The bell sounds, as Cole extends his hand for an honest handshake as he crosses his fingers behind his back. Davey accepts it and both kick each other in the gut. Cole calls Davey crooked, as Vega calls him a fucking prick. Both men begin exchanging right hands in the center of the ring, until Cole fakes out Davey with a superkick and kicks his leg out from under him. Cole follows up with a running knee to the side of the head for a long two count. Cole argues with referee, PJ Drummond screaming "That was three"! Cole makes another quick cover, but Davey kicks out again as Cole screams at PJ that "That was three again"! Cole stomps away at Davey in the corner, and the referee pulls him off as Davey pokes him in the eye. Cole goes into a corner, rubbing his eye as Davey runs at him right into an eye poke! Davey and Cole then exchange eye pokes like forearms, and both push PJ out of the way and kick each other below the belt with low blows! Both men fall to the canvas and rake one another's eyes until the referees pries one another off the other. A blinded Adam Cole and blinded Davey Vega stumble around the ring reaching out for whatever is in front of them. They both find themselves in opposite corners and begin attacking the top turnbuckle. Adam Cole even climbs to the top rope and begins deliver the classic ten punches of death to the top turnbuckle. Davey looks for a corner lariat and hits nothing, running into the corner shouting "You fast, cheeky bastard"! Once both men's vision is back the action finally picks up, with Davey taking down Cole with multiple slingblades. Cole pulls himself into a corner and eats a corner forearm smash. Davey looks for a bulldog out of the corner onto his knee, but Cole blocks it and superkicks the kneeling tag team champion. Cole follows up with a running senton for a close two count. Adam Cole stands on the face of Davey Vega's, as he points to the heavens shouting "ADAM COLE, BAY BAY"! Adam Cole looks for his Tiger Driver, but counters into a quick roll up for a long two count. Cole pops up and runs right into a Code Breaker from out of nowhere! Davey Vega ducks under a right hand, and hits a neckbreaker, face crusher combo, followed by an Ace Crusher for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Vega can't believe it, arguing with the referee but PJ assures him that it was only a two count. Vega shoves him out of the way as Cole takes advantage with a low blow. Cole follows up with the Florida Key to pick up the three count in 8 minutes! Match Two EGI First Round Match: Andrew Everett vs. (Revolution Tag Team Champion) Mat Fitchett [30 Minute Time Limit] Andrew Everett is fresh off his second failed attempt at capturing the X-Division championship from Super ACH, along with his partner Trevor Lee. This tournament is his chance at redemption. Corey Graves says that Everett is a dark horse, not yet scoring a single victory in Revolution. But maybe with Trevor Lee out of his ear for once and focused with his own thing tonight, Everett has a clear mind going into this match. Excalibur says that Fitchett was very much like Everett at the beginning of the year, not winning a single match until capturing the Tag Team belts in a tournament. Graves calls this a battle between the two youngest high fliers in the tournament. A lock up starts us off, as Fitchett gets back away into a corner. Everett clean breaks and does a back handspring and slaps Fitchett across the face. Fitchett answers with a slap of his own, which rocks Everett back. Fitchett runs against the ropes, ducking under a right hand and Everett leap frogs over him as he comes back. Everett looks for a monkey flip but Fitchett sees it coming and drops a standing leg drop across the neck of Everett's for a quick two count. Everett crawls under the ropes onto the ring apron, as Fitchett runs into a shoulder block. Everett then connects with a beautiful springboard dropkick to the face, and kips up. Everett follows up with a standing moonsault/shooting star press combination for a two count. Everett begins slowing the pace down, by locking in a side headlock and punching Fitchett repeatedly in the head. Fitchett begins fighting out of it, and Everett slams him back down to the canvas and goes for another standing shooting star press but Fitchett gets his knees up! Everett holds his ribs in a corner, and Fitchett runs into a back elbow. Everett springs onto the second rope, and Fitchett leaps up with a Spanish Fly from out of nowhere! Fitchett makes a quick cover, but only gets a two count. Fitchett with a series of forearms, rock Everett against the ropes but he's able to find enough in himself to back body drop Fitchett onto the ring apron. However, Mat shows off him nimbleness by landing on his feet. Everett cuts his springboard attack off with an enziguri to the back of the head, falling down to the apron. Everett awaits Fitchett to reach his feet on the apron, and springboards over the top rope catching the tag team champion with a DDT onto the ring apron to a huge reaction from the hot crowd! Everett shows off to the crowd, strutting around ringside before picking up Fitchett and rolling him into the ring. Everett covers the loopy Mat Fitchett for a long two count! Everett can't believe it as he argues with referee, Rudy Charles before connecting with a beautiful standing corkscrew moonsault like it was nothing. Everett covers again, but only gets a two count. Everett looks for a handspring back elbow in the corner, but Fitchett catches him with a release german suplex. He sends Andrew Everett flying back first into the corner turnbuckle! Fitchett crawls over for a cover, but Everett gets his foot on the bottom rope. Fitchett lifts Everett onto his shoulders in a firemans carry, but Everett elbows free and spikes Fitchett with a reverse rana! Everett slowly climbs to the top rope, and leaps off looking for a Shooting Star Press but Fitchett moves out of the way as Everett face plants into the canvas. This knocks him out, allowing Fitchett to climb to the top rope and connect with a Shooting Star Press in 12 minutes to secure his spot in the Quarter Finals tomorrow night. Following the match, the crowd gives both men a standing ovation as Excalibur calls that match a barnburner. Graves agrees saying that these two young men just stole the show in our second contest of the evening. They say that many thought that they didn't belong in such a prestigious tournament, but they proved those naysayers wrong. Fitchett celebrates his victory before helping Andrew Everett to his feet. Fitchett offers a handshake out of respect, but Everett spits in his face and stomps to the back absolutely furious. Match Three EGI First Round Match: Keith Lee vs. Jeff Cobb [30 Minute Time Limit] Corey Graves reminds everyone that we're seeing yet another Revolution Wrestling debut tonight in the form of "Limitless" Keith Lee. Excalibur says that 2017 has seen the stock of Keith Lee rise, as he finds himself in the most prestigious tournament in the country. Graves expects a hoss fight between the two biggest competitors in the tournament. The rest of the field was probably relieved when they found out that one of them will have to be eliminated in the opening round. Excalibur adds that he talked to a lot of the combatant and they all said that they believed Danielson and Hero would go the full 30 Minute Time Limit Draw, but they hoped that it would be this one. These two have an intense stare down, which see's Keith Lee spreading his arms out telling Jeff Cobb to bask in his glory! Cobb responds with a stiff push. A test of strength begins the contest the contest which is somewhat even, until Keith Lee's combination of strength and speed is too much for Cobb to keep up with. Lee then gives Cobb a stiff shove of his own, sending Cobb off of his feet. BASK IN MY GLORY; Keith Lee shouts, taunting Jeff Cobb who responds with a kip up followed by a standing dropkick. Cobb then tells Keith Lee to bask in his glory, as a somewhat embarrassed Keith Lee reaches his feet. Both men exchange shoulder blocks, trying to take one another down. Lee bounces off the ropes, and Cobb catches with a squatting overhead suplex! Keith Lee pops up and snaps off a standing hurricanrana from out of nowhere to the awe of the crowd, who wasn't expecting somebody his size being able to pull off such an impressive feat. Cobb gets up as the two exchange chops, until Cobb headbutts him in the chest, and follows up with a german suplex! Cobb with a moonsault/shooting star press combo scores him only a one count as the Chicago crowd pops huge! Both men are forehead to forehead in the center of the ring, huffing and puffing at one another as the crowd is rabid. Corey says that if the crowd doesn't know who Keith Lee was five minutes ago, then they do now. Cobb goes for an irish whip, but can't shift the large mass that is "Limitless" Keith Lee. Lee sends Cobb into the opposite corner with an irish whip and hit a running mongolian chop in the corner which echoes throughout the small compact basement! Keith Lee takes Cobb's head off with a lariat, and follows up with a giant standing frog splash for a two count! Keith Lee pulls up Cobb, calling for his Spirit Bomb but Cobb is able to back body drop the giant body of Keith Lee's. Lee stumbles back to his feet into a belly to belly suplex! Keith Lee pops back up and gives Mr. Athletic a release german suplex, dumping Cobb on the back of his head! Lee and Cobb exchange chops, which turn into stiff forearms, that eventually evolve into headbutts! Lee bounces off the ropes and at full speed and force sends Cobb flying across the ring with a POUNCE! Lee pulls Cobb into the middle of the ring and makes the cover for a long two count! Keith Lee wastes no time arguing with the official, instead goes to lift Cobb up off the mat. Cobb retaliates with headbutts into the groin. Cobb looks for a german suplex, but Lee blocks it and begins to elbow his way free. He tries his finishing Spirit Bomb again, but Cobb is able to spin out of it and drops Lee on the back of his head with a squatting german suplex! Cobb drapes an arm over the chest of Keith Lee's for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Jeff Cobb can't believe it along with everybody else in the building. Cobb gives him a second squatting german suplex for another neatfall! Cobb promises this is fucking it, and proceeds to deadlift german suplex the enormous Keith Lee for a third nearfall in a row! Jeff Cobb can't believe it, as the Chicago crowd sings "OH, BASK IN HIS GLORY"! Cobb sets Lee up for a Tour of the Islands, but Lee bounces off the ropes and boots Cobb squarely in the chest! This rocks Cobb back into a corner, where Lee connects with a corner stinger splash. Lee unloads on Cobb's chest with a flurry of corner Mongolian chops. Lee slams Cobb into the canvas with the Ground Zero which is a fireman's carry powerslam. This scores him the 1...2...KICK OUT! Keith Lee mouths the question that everyone else is thinking, "what's it going to take" as we now reach past the halfway point of the contest. Lee picks up the dead weight of Cobb's off the canvas and up to his feet. Lee wakes him up with a series of stiff forearms. Lee looks for a suplex, but Cobb counters into a stalling suplex of his own to a huge pop! Cobb is slow to reach his feet, as Lee remains off his feet. Cobb goes for his standing moonsault again, but Keith Lee gets his knees up! Keith Lee looks for the Spirit Bomb again, and the third time's the charm as he plants Cobb dead center of the ring! He covers for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Keith Lee pops up to his feet, taking a step back from the lifeless Jeff Cobb almost coming to the realization that it's impossible to beat him. Keith Lee slowly climbs up to the top rope, looking for his signature Doomsault. He backflips off the top rope and belly flops into the mat! Cobb picks up Lee and drives him back down into the canvas with a Tour of the Islands! Cobb covers the 1...2...KICK! Cobb kneels in front of Lee, gasping for air shaking his head in disbelief. Cobb lifts Lee up to his feet, and blasts him in the chin with stiff forearms and finally a headbutt, which rocks Lee against the ropes who bounces back into a Tour of the Islands! Cobb makes the cover to finally end this incredible contest in 19 minutes! After the match, an exhausted Jeff Cobb slowly reaches his knees where PJ Drummond raises his arm in victory. Keith Lee remains flat on his back as the crowd wakes him up with one of the loudest ovations of the weekend thus far. Lee struggles to his feet, and even when he get to them he needs the ropes to hold him up. Keith holds his ribs, struggling to gasp for air. Cobb offers a handshake, and Keith Lee answers with a hug to a huge pop. The crowd chants "KEITH LEE" as Jeff Cobb leaves him to bask in his own glory. Chicago begs for Keith Lee to "PLEASE COME BACK"! Revolution Owner, Gabe Sapolsky even comes out with a microphone and agrees with the crowd, asking Keith to please come back. Lee takes the microphone, hardly able to speak as he says that he just went through war in the hardest match of his fucking life. He's pretty sure he's got a broken rib or three. And everyone is asking him to come back? His answer is "You're god damn, right I'll be fucking back"! Match Four Ladder Match for the Revolution X-Division Title: Trevor Lee vs. © Super ACH [60 Minute Time Limit] The commentary team discuss the history between these two men, whose hatred is at such a boiling point that they've turned down spots in the tournament to settle their score this weekend. It started in June at Chapter Two after ACH became the first X-Division champion. Trevor Lee and Andrew Everett were scheduled to compete but pulled out of the match due to "travel issues" which was proven to be a ruse as they showed up after the match to attack the brand new champion. Trevor Lee took the championship and has had it held hostage ever since calling himself the real champion, even after ACH defeating him at Chapter Five in a title bout. ACH said that he'll do anything to get his rightful belt back, which Trevor accepted the challenge which Gabe made a Ladder Match to finally end this five month long rivalry and see who grabs that championship and claims it as the rightful owner! Things immediately break down at the bell, as the two men slug it out in the center of the ring. Trevor kicks him in the thigh, and runs at him but get chucked through the ropes. ACH connects with a plancha to the outside. ACH is on fire in the opening minutes. He's the first to bring out the ladder, and uses it as a weapon as he tosses it into the face of Trevor Lee's. This immediately busts Trevor Lee open, as ACH leans the ladder up against the ring apron. ACH places Trevor leaning against the ladder, where the champion chops away at his bare hairy chest. ACH gains some distance before sprinting at him and getting back body dropped into the ladder and sliding down onto the concrete floor! Trevor is relentless as he continues his assault on ACH, pummeling him with forearms to the back of the head. Lee sends the action back into the ring finally, and body double stomps a ladder onto the chest of ACH's. This allows Trevor to be the first to finally attempt to climb the ladder at the five minute ACH is quick to stop Trevor, by grabbing him by his foot and yanking him off into a giant uppercut that knocks the Caveman out cold. ACH folds up the ladder, and sticks his head through it holding it over his shoulders like he's Terry Fuckin' Funk! ACH runs at Trevor, driving the ladder into his challengers already bloody face! ACH begins to spin around, with the ladder going round and round and round the ring at full speed, Trevor ducks it and pops up to get clobbered in back of the head with the revolving ladder. ACH wedges the ladder into the turnbuckle, as Trevor Lee pulls a spike out of his boot. He runs at ACH with it, who drop toe holds him face first into the freshly wedged ladder. ACH begins to climb the beaten ladder, but a third the way up it the worn down ladder finally gives and buckles under ACH's who crashes to the mat. ACH kicks the ladder off of him furiously, having just been screwed out of the belt by sheer chance. And luck on the challenger's part who is quick to take advantage by trying the spike into ACH's forehead repeatedly the champion wears the same crimson mask that Lee is wearing. Trevor rolls out of the ring and brings a fresh ladder into the ring before setting a table up at ringside so that it's facing a turnbuckle corner. Trevor Lee stomps away at ACH the back of the champions head repeatedly before setting the ladder up in the center of the ring. Lee goes back to those vicious stomps to the back of the head before starting to climb. ACH stops him again, by grabbing him by the boot. Lee hops off the ladder, and elbows viciously in the back of ACH's head, and smashes him face first into the ladder. ACH connects with a stunner from out of nowhere in a move of desperation. Both men lay bloody on the canvas, until ACH slowly pulls himself up by the ladder and slowly begins to climb it. Trevor clenches the metal spike laying on the mat, and pulls himself up. He begins to stab it into the thigh and leg of ACH's, haulting him halfway up the ladder. Trevor begins to climb the opposite side of the ladder, as both men exchange right hands at the top of the ladder. Trevor looks for a superplex off, but ACH punches his way free. ACH looks for a sunset flip off but Trevor headbutts himself free. ACH blocks a right hand and sends eachother crashing down into the canvas from the top of the ladder with an ACE CRUSHER! The crowd can't believe it chanting "HOLY SHIT"! Both men find each other on the outside of the ring, where they exchange right hands. Trevor kicks the lacerated and injured leg of ACH's out from under him and viciously blasts him in the jaw with a forearm. ACH powers up though, and fires back with right hands. ACH then gets back body dropped onto the broken ladder from earlier in the contest! Trevor Lee then pulls out duct tape from under the ring, and proceeds to tape the champions wrists around the bottom rope outside of the ring. This leaves ACH nowhere to go as he watches his arch rival slowly climb up the ladder towards his championship. ACH though is able to grab the spike with his feet, and cut himself free from the makeshift handcuffs. ACH surprises Trevor Lee who was a fingers tips length away from grabbing the belt by tipping the ladder over. This sends Trevor hanging over the ropes and bouncing the outside of the ring onto the set up table at ringside. ACH slowly climbs the top turnbuckle and 450's off, splashing the challenger through the table. Both men lay in the rubble of broken wood, as the crowd cannot believe the punishment that they are witnessing. ACH of course is the first to his feet, pulling himself up by the ring apron. He crawls into the ring through the bottom rope, and begins to climb the ladder on one leg. His bloody and battered left leg just hangs off the side of the ladder. Trevor Lee begins to resurrect from the rubble, as he drags his body into the ring. He begins to crawls towards the ladder, and pulls himself up to the third step so that he's on his knees. But the champion is able to capture the hanging title to end this brutal display of recklessness in 23 minutes! Following the war, and amidst the destruction of broken ladders and rubble of broken tables. Pools of blood and broken bones surround the ring and ringside area. But standing atop the ladder, the victor, is the defending champion who after five long months is finally reunited with his championship! ACH poses with the championship humbled by the moment as the crowd. A bloody Trevor Lee walks away to the back defeated, knowing that it's going to be a long, long time before he ever receives another shot at the championship that he's gotten use to carrying around undeservingly for five months. ACH says that even though he's not competing in the weekends tournament, he dedicates his victory to Eddie Guerrero. ACH brings us to an intermission. [INTERMISSION] During the twenty minute duration of the show, Melissa Santos hypes up the next show which will be Chapter Thirteen. Already confirmed for the event is The Bullet Club's, Young Bucks and Sami Callihan. Callihan will defend the Revolution Heavyweight championship against this weekend's tournament winner at the event! Also scheduled to appear is the debuting "American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes who interrupts the crowd not in person but on the shitty, beer stained tron which is just an old and dirty backdrop. VIDEO PACKAGE: In a pre taped video, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes himself interrupts sitting in his lovely home. His lovely wife; Brandi Rhodes sits beside him holding her body against his. Cody thinks of how disrespectful it is that Revolution Wrestling has the audacity to call him, asking him to show up for an event. He agrees after hearing about this prestigious tournament. And imagine his surprise when he found out it wasn't going to be for the Eddie Guerrero Invitational, where twenty four of the supposed "best" wrestlers from around the globe compete. Cody calls it a travesty to the highest degree of the law, saying he should've been invited to the tournament because he is god damn walking royalty. People will be building sculptures of him and holding tournaments and shows dedicated to him, and that's all in the next year! After thinking on it, he doesn't know if he even wants to show up next month. Saying he's got better things to do on Christmas time, and bigger paychecks to cash at lesser pigpens. Match Five EGI First Round Match: Dalton Castle (w/ The Boys) vs. Chuck Taylor [30 Minute Time Limit] Excalibur calls this a dream match to some, as Corey doesn't think Dalton is prepared to be in the ring with twenty three top athletes. He admits himself that he went to another place last month in his Death Match against Davey Vega. Dalton Castle went to war, and Corey believes that he's suffering PTSD. He questions if The Party Peacock even knows how to wrestle anymore. Excalibur says that he looks fine, being his flamboyant self. Corey says that everyone hides how they feel behind some kind of façade. During his entrance; Dalton Castle sends his Boys to the back respecting the strict rules of the tournament of no interference. The Boys kiss him on both cheeks goodbye as he enters the ring, they leave one their giant feathered fans as a relic. Both men are massively over with the crowd as Excalibur says that we saw the two biggest men in the tournament do battle (Keith Lee/Jeff Cobb), but now we're going to see a showdown between the tournaments biggest personalities. A lock up begins and former tournament winner, Chuck Taylor gets the strength advantage and trips up Dalton to the canvas and covers for a two count, keeping grecko roman knuckle lock. Castle bridges to his feet impressively and takes down Chucky T with a quick hip toss. They trade arm drags until Taylor snaps off a standing dropkick to the face of Dalton's. Castle rolls to the outside, embracing the safety of the fans that surround the ring. The crowd begins to fan The Peacock down like his Boys would be doing at ringside. Dalton slowly slide back into the ring, as fakes out a lock up by puffing his chest out like the proud peacock that he is. This causes Taylor to regroup on the outside. Chuck enters the ring, and a second lock up begins and Chucky again outwrestles the former amateur wrestler. Castle eventually stiffs Chucky with an elbow, and takes him down to the mat and pummels him with right hands. Chuck holds his arms up, trying his best to protect the blows. Dalton forces himself off of The Kentucky Gentleman. He seems to be fighting his own emotions as he kicks the bottom rope, trying not to let out what he became at Chapter Nine. Castle can't stop himself, and stomps away at Taylor in the corner. Chuck counters a T-Bone Suplex into a Sole Food, and rolls up The Party Peacock for the victory out of nowhere in just over six minutes to the shock of everyone in the building except for Corey Graves. After the match, Chuck Taylor rolls out of the ring, letting The Party Peacock deal with whatever he's dealing with. All Chucky T is concerned with at the moment is that he's advanced to the Quarter Finals. And is one step closer to becoming a two time Eddie Guerrero Invitational winner. A distraught Dalton Castle has no idea what went over him, as Excalibur says that he doesn't want to call the outcome an upset since Chuck Taylor is former tournament winner. But nobody expected such an abrupt ending so early on into the contest. Match Six EGI First Round Match: Lio Rush vs. King Ricochet [30 Minute Time Limit] Excalibur and Corey Graves debate with each other on if the ceilings are tall enough to contain these men. Corey believes that there is no such thing as a limit for how high these men are capable of flying. Ricochet is treated like the King that he claims to be upon his entrance as the crowd gives him a loud welcoming applause. Lio Rush the underdog is the youngest at 23 years old and the least experienced in the field of 24. Excalibur says that he had a talk with Ricochet earlier, who was excited for this contest. As Lio Rush is seen as the best new highflier in the business but Ricochet is prepared to show him who is still the King. A handshake begins the contest as both men give each other a show of respect. A quick and intense lock up begins, and Rush immediately rolls up Ricochet for a quick nearfall. Ricochet flips onto his feet, and immediately gets slapped across the face by Lio Rush. This shocks the crowd and commentary. Ricochet look of awe turns to a grin, as he looks for a flurry of Donnie Yen style strikes but Lio Rush avoids them like he's in the fucking matrix. Rush looks for a leg sweep, but Ricochet leaps over it and looks for a punt kick which Lio Rush front flips onto his feet to avoid it. They then get right in each other's faces, and both bounce off opposing ropes and boot each other in the chest. This knocks one another back into opposite corners. They dash at one another, and Rush slides under Ricochet's legs, who back flips catching Rush's head with his feet. He looks for a rana but Lio Rush lands on his feet. A leg sweet attempt from Lio Rush is counters as Ricochet just stomps him in back of the head! The crowd boo's Ricochet, who soaks in the jeers and sorrow of the crowd. Ricochet picks Lio Rush up in a corner, calling him "kid" as he does it. He proceeds to chop Lio Rush's chest until it begins turning shades of red and purple. Lio Rush throws some forearms, trying to fight out of the corner but Ricochet blasts him in the side of the face with a spinning superkick. Rush tumbles through the ropes and to the floor, as Ricochet looks for a handspring dive over the ropes and to the outside, but Lio avoids and kicks Ricochet in the gut. Lio dashes into the ring and bounces off the ropes but before he knows Ricochet is already in the ring and cuts him off with a bicycle style knee strike, turning Lio inside out. Ricochet covers for a quick two count, as Ricochet kicks and chops away at Rush in the center of the ring. A spin kick to the midsection, followed by a kick the face rocks Lio Rush. Ricochet looks for a handspring Ace Crusher, but Lio Rush catches him with a release German suplex! Ricochet is groggy in a corner, where Lio Rush connects with a running cross body. Ricochet tumbles to the mat, as Lio Rush climbs to the top rope and dives off connecting with a sky high Frog Splash for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Lio Rush pulls Ricochet up in a full nelson hold, and attempts a dragon suplex but Ricochet blocks it and elbows his way free. Ricochet looks for a kick but Lio Rush catches it and back flips Ricochet onto his feet. Rush looks for a standing rana but Ricochet catches him and chucks him halfway across the ring into a corner turnbuckle with a running buckle bomb. A groggy Lio Rush is out on his feet as Ricochet snaps off a beautiful standing rana; shouting "this is how it's done, rook" mid manuever. King Ricochet follows up with a Standing Shooting Star Press but Lio catches him in a school boy from out of nowhere for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Ricochet pops right up and murders Lio with a stiff kick to the face. Ricochet looks for the Benadryller but Lio reverses shifting his body midair and catches Ricochet with a Meteora on his way down! Ricochet and Lio Rush are both down on the canvas at the same time for the first time as we are close to reaching the halfway point of the thirty minute time limit. Ricochet and Lio beat the referee's ten count, and begin trading forearms and chops. Lio blocks one and blasts Ricochet in the jaw with roaring back elbow. Lio Rush then drops Ricochet on the top of his head with a leaping piledriver! Luckily for Ricochet, the damage has been done to Lio Rush who is unable to capitalize with a cover. Lio crawls towards Ricochet, and then over him. He pulls himself in a corner as Ricochet lays motionless on the canvas. Excalibur and Corey question Lio's life decisions for not wanting to make a cover. Lio slowly climbs to the top rope, and take a heartbeat or two to find his balance before he leaps off looking for a Shooting Star Press but Ricochet moves out of the way! Ricochet picks up Lio Rush immediately and kicks him in the face with a Benadryller! He picks Lio Rush right back up for a second and more impactful Benadryller! Ricochet finally puts an end to Lio's misery with a 630 Splash for the three count in 17 minutes! After the match, King Ricochet gets his hand raised in victory as he holds his neck before picking Lio's body up off the canvas. Lio is groggy and has no idea where he's at, but see's the hand of Ricochet's waiting in front of him. Lio accepts the handshake, and Ricochet leaves the ring to Lio Rush for the crowd to show him the respect that he deserves! Ricochet looks back at Lio and calls him the future, but the future just isn't today. Match Seven EGI First Round Match: Chris Hero vs. Bryan Danielson [30 Minute Time Limit] Excalibur puts this match over as the most hyped First Round Match of the weekend. Corey calls this Bryan Danielson's return home to the US Independent scene. The Chicago crowd treats American Dragon like a fucking God, chanting his name which begins to irk Hero. Hero offers a stiff handshake, which Danielson accepts. These two spend most of the opening moments on the mat, chain wrestling and countering one another. Neither competitor is able to gain a clear advantage for the first several minutes. Hero grabs a Cravate on Danielson, who is able to quickly spin out of it and attempt and fujiwara arm bar, but Hero is quick to grab the bottom ropes with his feet. A more intense Hero grecko roman knuckle locks Danielson, with both their hands clenched together as they vye for the advantage, attempting to force the other back. Hero gets Danielson completely bridged on his back, and Danielson uses his core strength to power back up to his feet. He leg sweeps Hero who is quick to kip back up and blast Danielson in the jaw with an Elbow! This rocks Danielson to a knee as the crowd begins to boo Hero. Hero grabs a Cravate on Danielson putting pressure on Dragon's neck which he has a long history with. Hero refuses to relinquish the hold, instead tightening his grip as he keeps Danielson down on his knees. Hero begins to headbutt Danielson in the back of the previously injured neck. Danielson is able to catch Hero with a jaw breaker, but Hero quickly grabs a Cravate again and suplexes Danielson across the ring from the Cravate submission. Hero covers, but Danielson kicks out at two. Hero keeps his focus on the head and neck of Danielson, as Corey Graves questions if Hero is trying to maybe frighten Danielson into submission here. Saying that Hero may be hoping that there is butterflies of nerve fluttering around the stomach of The American Dragon's. Hero with a front face lock, and pulls Dragon up to his feet and forces him down into the canvas with a Hero's Welcome for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Hero picks up Danielson, offering an apology before spinning around, looking for a Roaring Elbow into the jaw and face of Danielson's. The Bullet Club stands tall amidst the carnage, until The Bruiserweight hops up onto the ring apron. He stands alone, staring down his three adversaries across from him. The Bullet Club are licking their chops, knowing that Dunne stands no chance against the three of them. But that doesn't stop the EPW Undisputed champion from bum rushing the group, he tackles Sami to the canvas and pummels him with right hands and forearms. The Bucks double superkick Dunne in the face, knocking him out on top of Sami, who rolls his limp body off of him. Flash looks for a Springboard attack on Sami, who ducks under it and The Bucks double Superkick him in mid air! They tell FMW to "SUCK IT!" As the crowd jeers the trio. The Bucks hold down Dunne, as Callihan unbuckles his belt and begins to lash The Bruiserweight across the back with it. Trent grabs the belt from Sami and whips him across the chest with it and Sami goes running through the ropes holding chest, letting out a loud "FUCK!". Trent ducks under a double superkick from The Bucks, and begins chopping Nick and Matt Jackson until both their chests turn a shade of red and purple. Trent then locks Matt in a standing rear naked choke, but Matt wisely backs him into a corner where Nick runs at them and Matt moves out of the way so his brother could knee strike Trent in the face. Nick then connects with an assisted Standing Sliced Bread with the help of Matt and they cover Trent for the 1...2...FMW BREAKS THE COVER! The Bucks immediately pummel Flash in a corner with stomps shouting "JUST DIE!" Nick bounces off the ropes as Matt snapmeres Flash out of the corner, and knees Flash in the face. Matt bounces off the ropes and connects with a running knee of his own to Flash. Callihan finishes it off with a running boot directly into the mouth of Morgan's. Sami covers, but Dunne breaks it up by smashing a steel chair across the back of Callihan's. Nick runs at Dunne who smacks him over the head with the chair. Sami, seated in a corner is in shock at the ruthless Bruiserweight standing over the moaning and groaning Nick and Matt Jackson who writhe in pain on the canvas. He then repeatedly forearms Callihan in the face, bounces off the ropes with a running boot and decapitates him with a rolling lariat! Dunne makes the cover, but the Revolution champion is able to kick out at two. Dunne sets Sami up for the Bitter End, but Callihan is able to squirm his way free. The two exchange brutal forearms and elbows in the center of the ring, as Sami gains the advantage with a leaping bicycle kick to the jaw. Sami holds the loopy Dunne by the hair, and goes to toss him into a pair of Superkicks from the Bucks on the outside, but Dunne reverses it, sending Callihan into the superkicks! Flash is using his speed to confuse the frustrated Callihan, who when he catches him drives him into the canvas with a vicious powerbomb that shakes the ring, and rolls FMW onto his feet and murders him with a vicious knee to the face and covers for the three count in 23 minutes of carnage! Following the contest, The Young Bucks help Sami Callihan up to his feet who has a look as if he is possessed. He demands his "fucking belt", as he snags it out of the hands of ring announcer Melissa Santos. Sami takes a microphone and calls himself the fucking man around here. He warns tomorrow night's EGI tournament winner that on December 15th. He calls The Bullet Club unbeatable, and tomorrow night they're going to clean sweep this whole fucking weekend to prove it. No matter who the fuck the random trio is that Gabe Sapolsky pulls out of his ass. |

- The opening contest looked like it might not happen at first. Convincing win for Adam Cole in what turned out to be a solid bout. - Fitchett/Everett really picked up the pace imo. For me this was more of an opening match than the previous one but no complaints. - Shit. Cobb and Lee had a hell of a match. It was truly a test of strength through and the right man advanced to the next round. - The X-Division Title match was ridiculously good. Love a good Ladder Match and this delivered without question. - Didn't see Dalton Castle getting eliminated this early. Glad that it ties up in to an evolving storyline though. - This was exactly what you would expect from a Lio Rush/Ricochet match. Some great sportsmanship post-match too. - The finish of the Danielson/Hero bout took me off guard but it was fitting. The American Dragon could go all the way imo. - The main event was crazy. I loved it. Euro Scum really put up a fight here and I have no complaints on them losing to Bullet Club. |

Davey Vega and Matt Fitchett's wins seem a little bit surprising given who they were facing, but no objections here. Even though he went down in defeat, Keith Lee made Jeff Cobb earn this one. Can Cobb use this win to his advantage as valuable momentum? The ladder match could have gone either way, as is usually the case. A well earned win by ACH. As much of a Chuck Taylor fan I am, I'm a bit surprised he got past Dalton Castle so quickly. I know Castle's one of your main guys, but as it's been mentioned, Taylor's won it all before, he's on pace to do it again. Ricochet made a lot of noise with his first round win. Props to billing him as Bryan Danielson. Not hating Daniel Bryan, but this feels more fitting for him. With that being said I'm more of a Chris Hero guy, but the right man won on this night. As mentioned on night one, The Bullet Club success lately hasn't been much. You could compare their down moments overall to (these might seem like unfair comparisons, but the names did come to mind) that of what EPW's TK Cooper is currently going through, and what The Miz recently recovered from. However in night one, as well as night two, they have shown to still be a dominate force. Can their momentum continue on night three? |
