Undisclosed Location in Chicago, IL.

Melissa Santos welcomes the crowd to the third and final of this years Eddie Guerrero Invitational. She takes us right into the action as tonight will be a long one, wanting to waste no time.

Match One
EGI Quarter Finals Match: Candice LeRae vs. Adam Cole
[30 Minute Time Limit]

The crowd is hot at the start of the evening, chanting "CANDICE IS GONNA KILL YOU". The opening minutes see Adam Cole over power the smaller Candice LeRae. Excalibur on commentary takes a jab at Adam Cole, saying this might be the only match of his career where he will have the size advantage. This doesn't deter Candice from using her speed to throw the cocky, Cole off of his game and connect with a big tilt a whirl headscissors sending Adam Cole retreating to the floor. Candice is able to connect with a big suicide dive to the outside, grabbing Cole in mid air and spinning him around with a tornado DDT onto the concrete floor. Back in the ring, Adam Cole is able to catch Candice's standing rana attempt and drive her into the canvas with a big powerbomb. He rolls her onto her feet, only to drop her with a brain buster onto his knee for a long two count. Adam Cole remains in full control, furious that he hasn't been able to keep Candice LeRae down. This leads to his downfall as he is caught off guard attempting a Last Ride that Candice turned into a Canadian Destroyer from out of nowhere to pick up the upset victory in over 9 minutes.

Following the match, Candice celebrates her victory as the crowd is going ape shit over her pulling off two back to back upsets in the first two rounds. Corey says that Candice is only two more victories away from living out her Cinderella story. Her husband, Johnny Gargano comes out and celebrates with his wife. He tells her that she only has to win to more to bring home the trophy. Adam Cole stomps furiously to the back, almost sick to his stomach at the lovely moment taking place inside the ring. Chicago jeers him out of the building chanting "YOU LOST TO A GIIIIIIRRRRRLLLL".

Match Two
EGI Quarter Finals Match: Rey Fenix vs. (EPW Undisputed Heavyweight Champion) Pete Dunne
[30 Minute Time Limit]

The crowd is split right down the middle between these two, as Corey and Excalibur call this a Dream Match that is taking place on only the second slot of what will be one incredible night. The two are evenly matched early on as every time The Bruiserweight attempts to ground Fenix, the luchadore finds a way to flip and roll himself free. This pisses off Dunne who slaps him across the face. Fenix answers with a flurry of strikes that back Dunne into a corner. Fenix with a loud running corner palm strike knocks Dunne loopy. Fenix springboards onto Dunne's shoulders who catches him in an electric chair drop for a two count. Dunne now attempts to keep Rey Fenix grounded, as commentary puts over Dunne being in more of a sour mood than ever after his teams loss to Bullet Club last night. Dunne stands on the back of Fenix's knees in a surfboard position but just jumps, stomping down on Fenix's knees as he drives them into the canvas. Dunne grabs Fenix in a Boston Crab, looking for a submission victory, but Fenix is able to grab the bottom ropes.

Fenix goads Dunne into the ropes where he kicks his legs out, hanging the Bruiserweight across the second rope. Fenix then rolls under the ropes onto the apron and kicks him in the face. Dunne rolls into the center of the ring, where Fenix connects with a springboard splash for a long two count. A limping Fenix picks Dunne up off the canvas, as Pete kicks his leg out from under him. Dunne hits the ropes and elbows him in the back of the head! Dunne covers but Fenix kicks out at two, who takes his frustration out on Fenix's knees, stomping and pummeling them both. Dunne yanks and pulls at the leg in several positions, and twists it in a leg lock, but Fenix refuses to quit. Fenix slaps away at Dunne trying to get him to release his leg, but instead Dunne spits in his face. Fenix with his free leg begins to boot Dunne in the face until the hold is eventually released. Rey slowly pulls himself up in a corner, as Dunne is already up and runs at him driving his elbow into Fenix's face. He looks for a second one, but Fenix gets his feet up kicking himself off Dunne, flipping over the ropes and landing on his feet on the apron. Fenix blocks a forearm, and kicks Dunne square in the face. Fenix with a double springboard dropkick on Dunne scores him a two count.

The crowd is on their feet, giving both men all of their energy as commentary agrees that this match could main event any show in the country. Rey Fenix leaps off the second rope, looking for a 450 Splash but Dunne gets his knees and rolls Fenix in a tight small package for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Fenix ducks under a wild clothesline from Dunne, and bounces off the ropes right into a tilt a Spinning Tombstone Piledriver from Dunne. Fenix however is able to counter it into a flipping reverse piledriver to the loudest pop of the weekend! Dunne is out cold on the canvas, as Fenix pulls himself up on the ring apron. Commentary is on their feet, saying if Fenix is able to beat Dunne and proceed to win the entire tournament then he would be in line for two separate Heavyweight Title matches for the EPW and Revolution titles respectively. Fenix connects with a double Springboard 450 Splash, and covers Pete Dunne for the 1...2...KICK OUT!

Fenix can't believe it as he chops away at Pete Dunne before sitting him up on the top rope. Fenix meets him up top as both men trade punches and forearms in a dangerous position. Dunne with a headbutt that echoes throughout the small confined basement, knocks Fenix loopy who bounces off the ropes attempting a Spanish Fly but Dunne holds on which causes Fenix to crash and burn on the canvas. Dunne leaps off the ropes connecting with a flying elbow to the back of Fenix's head. He peels Fenix up off the canvas and drives him back down with the Bitter End to secure his spot in the Semi Finals at exactly 20 minutes!

Backstage: Stands one half of the Revolution Tag Team champions, Davey Vega. Davey apologizes to the billions of twitter followers that he has for failing to move onto the Quarter Finals. But he assures them not to worry, clarifying that his fans will still get to see him compete tonight. He announces an Open Challenge for his Tag Team Titles. He admits to knowing his Bestie/Partner, Mat Fitchett is busy in his Quarter Finals Match, but he can't deny Chicago a taste of "Vitamin D". He introduces his partner who is a banged up, Trevor Lee, 24 hours removed from his brutal Ladder War with Super ACH. Trevor isn't interested in anything that Vega has to say. Just telling him that after he helps him successfully defend these belts, that him and Everett get the next title shot. Vega assures Lee not to worry about that, he already talked to Mr. Sapolsky and it's already signed and sealed for the 15th of next month.

Match Three
EGI Quarter Finals Match: (Revolution Tag Team Champion) Mat Fitchett vs. Matt Riddle
[30 Minute Time Limit]

Commentary agrees that this is young Mat Fitchett's biggest test to date against The King of Bros. The contest is mostly grounded as both men exchange holds and counters on the mat. This proves to not be the best of ideas for Mat Fitchett, who continues the rest of the contest trying to fight his way off the canvas. Riddle has an answer for every attempt that Fitchett makes, whether it be grabbing an arm bar or a leg lock to keep the Tag Team champion grounded. Fitchett makes a quick comeback with a tornado DDT out of nowhere, Riddle reaches his feet in a corner but eats a running dropkick. Fitchett looks for a second one, but Riddle grabs a foot in mid air, locking him in an Ankle Lock! Fitchett writhes in pain on the canvas, but refuses to give up even when Riddle begins stomping on the back of his head while keeping the Ankle Lock wrenched on. Fitchett catches him with a roll up out of the ankle lock for a two count, as Riddle grabs him in an arm bar! Fitchett is able to reach the ropes, as commentary says that those ropes are Fitchett's best friend tonight.

Fitchett makes another quick comeback with a flurry of palm strikes and then a pele kick to the dome. Riddle is rocked, standing loopily as Fitchett kips up into a pele kick from Riddle! The King of Bros proceeds to dead lift german suplex him into the center of the ring for a long two count out of nowhere! Riddle attempts an Exploder but Riddle rolls him through it and kicks him in the face in a kneeling position. Fitchett bounces off the ropes and Ace Crushes a kneeling Matt Riddle face first into the canvas. Fitchett climbs up top looking for a 450 Splash, but Riddle catches him in a Triangle Choke, which he is able to turn into the Bro-Mission for the submission victory in 12 minutes!

After the match, Matt Riddle shakes Fitchett's hand, leaving him to a well deserved standing ovation from the Chicago crowd.

Match Four
EGI Quarter Finals Match: Jeff Cobb vs. Claudio Castagnoli
[30 Minute Time Limit]

Commentary calls this the second dream match that is taking place tonight, agreeing that this EGI has lived up to the hype already. A lock up begins, as Cobb show his strength shoving Double C across the ring into a corner. On a second lock up, it's the opposite result as Claudio throws Cobb into a corner. The match proceeds to be a proverbial dick measuring contest, as both men exchange attempts to show off their strength. Claudio early on connects with a flurry of short arm European Uppercuts, and then a Stalling Vertical Suplex, holding Cobb up in the air for almost a minute straight. Castagnoli attempts a dead-lift vertical suplex, but Cobb blocks it and clubs away at the back of Claudio's head with his inner forearm. Cobb connects with a squatting German Suplex, tossing Claudio across the ring and almost into a turnbuckle corner. Double C pulls himself up in a corner as Cobb connects with a leaping corner splash, and an over head belly to belly suplex for a long two count. Cobb finds himself in a vicarious position that he's not familiar in, as he leaps off the top rope looking for a Diving Headbutt but Claudio rolls out of the way just in time to avoid it!

Cobb pulls himself up, revealing that he has a bloody and possibly broken nose. Claudio ducks under a clothesline and springboards off the ropes, connecting with a European Uppercut which knocks Cobb off of his feet! Castagnoli holds up Cobb on his shoulders in a torture rack position before slamming Mr. Athletic into the canvas with an Alpamere Waterslide for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Claudio and Cobb exchange clubbibng blows in the center of the ring, with Double C sending him bouncing off the ropes with a Roaring European Uppercut! Cobb responds with a jumping headbutt, drilling Castagnoli in the jaw! Claudio bounces off the ropes into a running powerslam from Jeff Cobb. A standing moonsault from Cobb gets him a two count, as does a standing shooting star press immediately afterwards. Cobb begins to toss Castagnoli around the ring like a rag doll with multiple suplex variations. Corey Graves says that in all of his years in wrestling he has never seen Claudio be man handled like he is now. Cobb looks to finish Claudio off with a Tour of the Islands, but Double C catches him in a backslide out of nowhere to sneak his way into the Semi Finals in 14 minutes!

Match Five
EGI Quarter Finals Match: Bryan Danielson vs. Pentagon Jr.
[30 Minute Time Limit]

The crowd loses their shit upon this match being revealed. Corey Graves and Excalibur are among them, calling this an international dream match of the most epic proportions. The crowd is split evenly down the middle exchanging "CERO MEIDO" and "LET'S GO DRAGON" chants while the two men have an intense stare down in the center of the ring. Pentagon does his Cero Meido taunt, shoving his hand in Danielson's face but Dragon looks unphased by Pentagon's mind game attempt. Pentagon does it again, this time putting his hand right on Danielson's face, pressing hard against it. Danielson immediately grabs the arm, tying Pentagon in a wrist lock and forcing him down onto the canvas. Danielson bends the arm as far back as it goes, threatening to snap it but Pentagon rolls through it to avoid further damage. Corey Graves says that if this company invested in chairs, they'd be going to waste. A grecko roman knuckle lock ends with Danielson forcing Pentagon's palms flat on the mat and stomps on them with both of his feet. Pentagon on both of knees shakes his hands profusely as Danielson puts the back of his palm on Pentagon's forehead, doing the Cero Meido taunt.

Pentagon is clearly upset, feeling belittled as he forces Dragon down onto the canvas. He locks him in a Cloverfield, where he proceeds to tie Danielson into a pretzel on the canvas. Danielson's arms and legs are all tied up in a hig tied position on the canvas, as Pentagon struts around him in the most defenseless position we've seen all weekend. Pentagon then proceeds to stomp a single stomp to the back of Danielson's head, getting a big pop from the crowd. Commentary is quick to mention the crowd being a solid 50/50 in favor of both guys as oppossed to Danielson's First Round match last night against Hero where the crowd was maybe 90/10 in Danielson's favor. Some Lucha like grappling ensues which ends with Pentagon tripping Danielson's feet out from under him, attempting to lock him in his Arm Breaker that's known to snap arms. Danielson however flips out of it, and proceeds to kick Pentagon in the chest at least a dozen times. He goes for the final kick to the head, but Pentagon ducks it and immediately hits Back Stabber for a long two count.

Pentagon sets Danielson up against a turnbuckle corner, and proceeds to light up his chest with chops. He takes his glove off halfway through the vicious assault so that it's skin on skin impact. Bryan's chest begins to turn a shade of purple and red, as Pentagon has no plans on stopping. He forces the crowd into silence and runs at Danielson, looking for a running chop but Danielson dashes at him meeting him halfway and driving a flying knee into his face! Danielson is slow to his feet, as he and Pentagon trade European style uppercuts for a chop. That is until Danielson unloads a flurry of European Uppercuts. He hits the ropes right into the loudest chop that even makes the front row cover their ears. Dragon backs away as Pentagon dashes at him but Bryan chucks him through the ropes and to the outside. Bryan with a suicide plancha to the outside takes Pentagon out along with some of the crowd. Bryan lifts Penta up by his mask in a show of somewhat disrespect, but Pentagon superkicks him out of nowhere. Pentagon pulls out a chair and sits Bryan on it. Pentagon goes for a running attack but Danielson pops up out of the chair and delivers a huge kick to the chest that would've shattered the shin and ankle of a normal man, says Excalibur on commentary. Bryan sits Pentagon on the chair and runs around the ring before delivering a running dropkick into his face!

Bryan sends the action back in the ring, and connects with a Diving Headbutt off the top rope for a close nearfall! Bryan and Pentagon begin exchanging weak forearms as Melissa Santos announces that we've reached 20 out of 30 minute time limit. The weak and exhausted exchange ends with Pentagon superkicking Danielson out of nowhere. Pentagon looks for his Penta Driver, but Danielson blocks it and proceeds to elbow Pentagon's inner thigh forcing him onto the canvas. Danielson then wraps a loose arm of Pentagon's behind his back, as he proceeds to deliver blow after blow with the tip of his elbow into the side of Pentagon's neck and jaw, knocking him loopy. This allows Danielson to easily lock him into the Cattle Mutilation for the submission victory in 23 minutes!

Following the contest, Bryan Danielson gets his hand raised in victory as Graves and Excalibur call the round of applause from the loud Chicago crowd well deserved. Dragon helps Pentagon to his feet, and offers him a handshake. Pentagon blows it off doing his Cero Meido taunt, as Corey brings up the fact of Pentagon and his brother Fenix both bowing out in the second round.

Match Six
EGI Quarter Finals Match: Chuck Taylor vs. King Ricochet
[30 Minute Time Limit]

This is a battle among Student and Teacher as commentary brings up that Chuck Taylor helped train Ricochet. They bring up their similar past of growing up together on the Indy scene, teaming together at first. They bring up the fact that it was Chuck Taylor that first shined amongst the group, as he won the 2007 incarnation of this very tournament defeating Arik Cannon and CM Punk in the Finals. However, if you fast forward 11 years after that, it's Ricochet who is the hot commodity on the Indies. This is an actual test for a former tournament winner to show that he still belongs amongst the top 24 talents around the world. Both men are 24 hours removed from their previous round match, with Chuck Taylor making unsuspecting quick work of Dalton Castle and Ricochet having an unsuspecting competitive contest with Lio Rush. Even following the previous star studded contest, Corey calls this match a deserving main event for the Quarter Final Round.

Both men know each other extremely well and they show in the early moments. They counter every single move the other throws at them. Things quickly break down into a fast exchange of Lucha Libre sequences with them ducking and diving under and over varous attacks. This ends in an intense stare down. Chuck eventually catches a rolling rana attempt from Ricochet into a powerbomb against the ropes, which bounces Ricochet off into a giant boot to the face that turns him inside out! Chuck covers for a long two count, before slowing the pace down into a chin lock. Ricochet fights to his feet, and rolls through his own snapmere and kicks Taylor in the face. He looks for a standing shooting star press attempt but Taylor gets his knees up and locks Ricochet tightly in a small package for a two count! Ricochet and Chuck block every single strike they throw at one another, until Chuck boots him square in the chest. Ricochet bounces off the ropes with a spinning kick to the face, and both men are now down!

Ricochet and Taylor reach their feet at the same time and begin exchanging right hands. Ricochet ducks underneath a wild clothesline attempt and drives Chucky T down into the canvas with a backslide driver for a long two count. Ricochet springboards off the ropes, back flipping off onto Taylor shoulders. Taylor spins him onto his feet, never letting go of Ricochet's wrist allowing him to pull him into a Sole Food! Taylor is proud of himself, as he slowly climbs to the top rope asking the crowd "Who do you think taught this spot monkey how to flip?" Before diving off with a moonsault attempt. Ricochet is able to move out of the way just in the knick of time, causing Taylor to belly flop off the canvas. Ricochet connects with a crazy running yoshi tonic on Chucky for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Ricochet with a flurry of forearms and slaps before knocking Taylor loopy with a spinning back fist. Ricochet runs against the ropes, right into a tilt a whirl Awful Waffle from Taylor from out of nowhere! Chucky makes the cover for the 1...2...RICOCHET GETS HIS FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE! However, this doesn't stop Taylor from believing that he's won and advanced into the next round. Referee, PJ Drummond breaks the news to him, and Taylor turns around into a kip up DDT, spiking him on his head. Ricochet connects with a crazy Shooting Star Press to score the three count and advance into the next round around 13 minutes!

Following the match, both men shake hands in a showing of respect. Taylor grabs a microphone, and admits to not wanting to put himself over but he actually won this very tournament over a decade ago. He says that he trained Ricochet, and if there was ever a deserving EGI champion, it's fucking Ricochet. He hugs Ricochet, telling him to take home the trophy tonight.

[INTERMISSION]
The lovely ring announcer, Melissa Santos brings the crowd into a quick 15 minute intermission. She hypes the Semi Finals that are still to come. She also hypes up the next event, taking place on December 15th which will feature THRIVE SUPERSTAR: Cody Rhodes. Also announced for said show is The Young Bucks in action along with Sami Callihan defending his Revolution championship against tonights tournament winner.

Match Seven
Revolution Tag Team Title Match: Keith Lee & Juice Robinson vs. © Davey Vega & Trevor Lee (subbing for Mat Fitchett)
[60 Minute Time Limit]

Davey and Trevor prove to be a dysfunctional team at the bell, as they argue with one another over who should start the contest. Keith Lee makes the choice for them, interrupting their argument with a double clothesline and tossing Davey to the outside of the ring. Keith deadlifts the bandaged and bruised body of Trevor's and tosses him into his corner. He pummels Lee with chops and short arm clotheslines before tagging in Juice. Robinson unloads a flurry of quick jab, before sending Lee flying seven feet in the air with a big back body drop and Hulk Hogan style leg drop for a long two count! Trevor backs away into a corner, goading Juice into an eye rake. He tags in Davey Vega who pummels Juice with kicks and stomps. Corey calls Trevor and Davey a more cohesive unit than our current thrown together tag champions of Vega and Fitchett. Davey and Trevor work over the mid section of Juice, making sure to make in and out tags and cutting off the ring as far away from The Limitless, Keith Lee.

It proves to be for naught as Juice catches Trevor off the ropes with a back body drop. He jabs away at Davey before clotheslining him over the top rope and to the floor. Juice rolls through a boot from Trevor and makes the hot tag to Keith Lee! Keith with a giant body splash on Trevor leaves him wobbly for a giant samoan drop for a two count as Davey saves his titles by breaking up the cover. Davey with some stiff superkicks, and bounces off the ropes, leaping into the resting arms of Keith Lee. He chucks Davey behind him with a Fall Away Slam throwing Davey into Trevor as they both collide! Lee connects with a corner splash on Trevor, as Juice tags in and takes him down with a running slingshot for a two count. Trevor ducks under a clothesline and Davey kicks a knee out from under him. Davey and Trevor sanswich superkick his head off. Davey looks for a Standing rana on Keith who catches him into a giant Spirit Bomb! He covers him at the same as the referee counts Trevor's pinfall on Juice following a Package Piledriver for the three count in just under 10 minutes.

Match Eight
EGI Semi Finals Match: Candice LeRae vs. (EPW Undisputed Heavyweight Champion) Pete Dunne
[45 Minute Time Limit]

Commentary puts this over as definitely the first, and possibly the last that we will see as THRIVE superstar compete against an EPW wrestler in a Revolution Wrestling ring. They also point out how the crowd has turned on Pete Dunne tonight, him being a heavy fan favorite heading into the tournament, but here we stand in the Semi Finals with the crowd wanting to believe in Candice LeRae's cinderella story coming true tonight.

Candice immediately goads the EPW champion outside of the ring where she disposes him. She immediately connects with a suicide dive through the ropes taking out Dunne! She immediately picks him up, throwing him into the ring and connecting with a senton splash in the center of the ring! LeRae covers for the 1...2...KICK OUT in the opening moments of the match. Candice with a flurry of chops, forearms and any strike that she can throw at Dunne rocks the champ. She bounces off the ropes into a tilt a whirl back breaker across his knee. Dunne immediately locks her in a half boston that he almost immediately turns into an STF! Dunne smirks and grins at him toying with little Candice LeRae. Candice fights her way free and catches Dunne off guard with a spinning headscissors, followed by a spiked DDT! She covers for a long two count, and immediately following The Bruiserweight's kick out, she locks Dunne in the GargaNo Escape! Dunne refuses to forfeit, and to crawl his way to the ropes. Instead choosing to bite the inside of Candice's thigh until she breaks the submission. The two combatants exchange stiff forearms, until Candice unloads on Dunne into a corner. She dashes right into a decapitating lariat! Dunne peels her off the canvas and flattens her into the canvas with the Bitter End for the three count in just under 8 minutes!

Match Nine
EGI Semi Finals Match: Matt Riddle vs. Bryan Danielson
[45 Minute Time Limit]

Excalibur calls this another Dream Match in a string of them this weekend from The American Dragon. Corey argues that every match is a dream match for Danielson following an almost five year absence from wrestling. They call Riddle the favorite having only wrestled a total of about 20 minutes over the past three nights in his previous two matches. This is opposite to Danielson near 30 minute classic with Hero last night which was followed only 50 minutes ago with a 25 minute Dream Match with Pentagon Jr. Matt Riddle on the other hand has only wrestled a combined 22 minutes this weekend, which is less the length of every Danielson combined during the weekend. That's not even adding into the fact that Riddle had a days rest last night, whereas Danielson has wrestled two nights back to back.

The American Dragon is going into this match favoring his neck, Riddle however looks to be at peak condition. Matt Riddle offers a handshake, which Danielson is more than happy to accept. A feeling out process ends with Riddle taking Dragon down with Riddle taking him down with a hip toss. Riddle tries locking him in a Triangle almost immediately, but Danielson fights it off. Both men have a stare down, which ends with Riddle headbutting Bryan directly in the forehead. Riddle hits a series of german suplexes for a long two on Bryan, before locking him in a waist lock immediately. The crowd is solidly behind Bryan at this point, while Riddle rains down elbows to the side of his neck and shoulder. Riddle rolls Danielson up, finally locking him in a Triangle Choke. Commentary calls this a rare occurrence where the crowd is solidly behind the opponent of The King of Bros who has been a heavy fan favorite since arriving in Revolution back at Chapter Two.

Danielson fights to his feet, and headbutts his way free. He runs at Riddle, ducking under a clothesline and bounces back off the ropes driving his knee into the face of Riddle's! Danielson makes a weak cover that only got him a two count. Bryan picks Riddle up off the mat in a waist lock, looking for a German suplex. But Riddle gets free and blasts Danielson on the top of the head with a Pele Kick! Riddle immediately drops Danielson into the canvas with a Fisherman Buster for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Riddle can't believe it, wearing a look of shock as he pulls himself up to his feet. Dragon is slow to his feet, using the ropes in a corner to hold his weight up. Riddle runs at him connecting with a leaping forearm smash in the corner. He runs against the ropes, drilling Danielson with a second one. Riddle looks for the knockout shot, attempting a third one but Danielson catches the arm. He forces himself and Riddle out of the corner with a rolling cross arm bar on the mat! Riddle writhes in pain, fighting to his feet and attempting to lift Danielson up off the mat but Danielson shifts his body, locking Riddle in a Triangle Choke!

Riddle tries reaching the ropes as commentary announces that we've just gotten past the 15 minute mark of the match. Leaving only 30 minutes left, but American Dragon is attempting to end this right now. He wrenches the head and torques the neck of Riddle's in the Triangle Choke, but The King of Bros refuses to give up. Matt Riddle tries squirming his way free, while also reaching for any close rope with every free limb that he's got. Danielson grows tired of it, and begins raining down the tip of his elbow in the top of Riddle's head. After a dozen or so, Riddle goes limp and referee Rudy Charles has no choice but to call for the bell, awarding Danielson with the victory via knockout in about 17 minutes!

Match Ten

This one starts off hot and heavy right at the sound of the bell with some lucha libre like chain wrestling and counters. Ricochet bounces off the ropes, right into a giant European Uppercut that sends Ricochet flying into the ropes. Claudio runs at him, but Ricochet side steps the attack causing Claudio to tumble through the ropes and to the floor. Ricochet then connects with a beautiful springboard Shooting Star Press to the outside onto Double C! Ricochet immediately picks up Claudio, rolling him into the ring and immediately connects with a springboard 450 Splash for a long and quick two count in the opening minutes of the match! Corey Graves says that these Semi Finals have been quick, with every competitor wanting to end their matches as quickly as possible. Ricochet with a flurry of forearms, and buzzsaw kicks Claudio in the head. Ricochet bounces off the ropes, looking for a headscissors but Claudio counters with a tilt a whirl backbreaker. He keeps holding onto Ricochet, deadlifting him into another tilt a whirl backbreaker across his other knee. Claudio covers, but only gets a two count. Claudio sets Ricochet up for the Ricola Bomb, but Ricochet spins out and blasts Claudio in the face with a kick! Claudio tumbles back into a corner, as Ricochet takes time to catch his breath. After a quick heartbeat or two he dashes at Claudio who chucks him about twelve feet in the air, blasting him with a European Uppercut on his way down! Ricochet crumbles to the canvas, as Claudio looks for the Ricola Bomb again but Ricochet is able to counter into a Code Red out of nowhere for the 1...2...3 count out of nowhere in 11 minutes!

Match Eleven
Elimination Rules: Dalton Castle, Cedric Alexander, Lio Rush, & Brian Cage vs. Mustafa Ali, Trent Seven, Andrew Everett, & Chris Hero
[60 Minute Time Limit]

Cedric, Lio, and Cage are dressed up as Dalton Castle's Boys, the sight of Brian Cage in the get up draws laughter from Excalibur and Corey Graves on commentary. Dalton Castle, team captain starts things off with Trent Seven with some chain wrestling which ends with Dalton slapping the taste out of Trent's mouth. Castle with a flurry of stiff forearms, and looks for a wild lariat but Seven ducks it and rolls up Dalton to eliminate him in the opening minutes! The crowd cannot believe it, as Castle shows clear frustration over his poor showing this weekend. Corey says that the blood feud with Vega has gotten into his head. Cage enters and quickly takes down both Ali and Everett with a double clothesline. Cage throws Ali into Everett in the corner with a giant buckle bomb. He finishes off Everett with a Weapon X for the elimination and even the odds up in rather dominate fashion. Hero and Cage have a staredown before exchanging stiff blows, it ends with both men booting each other in the face knocking one another out off their feet!

Cedric and Ali make the respective tags, as tag team partners collide! Ali and Cedric counter and reverse everything the other throws at them. Ali drops Cedric on his head with a reverse rana, Cedric pops up looking for one of his own but Ali drops to all fours causing Cedric to leap frog over him. Ali hops back up and spikes Alexander with another reverse rana! Ali looks for his Reverse 450 Splash but Cedric gets his knees up. Lio Rush enters and dashes at Trent, ducking under a lariat and connecting with a running dropkick into Seven's face. Lio kicks Hero in the back of the head who was innocently standing on the ring apron. Lio kicks away Trent, bounces off the ropes where Hero murders him with an elbow to the back of the head! Trent then murders Lio with a Lariat to eliminate him in just over 10 minutes!

Trent and Cedric slug it out in the center of the ring, which ends with Cedric ducking under a lariat and elbows Trent in the side of the head. Cedric connects with a running boot, and looks for the Break Check. Hero enters and boots him square in the face, and elbows him in the back of the head! Hero then begins to brawl with Cage on the outside as Trent connects with a sit out powerbomb for another elimination! The Machine is now a lonely boy up against Trent Seven and Chris Hero. The two pummel Brian Cage, who powers out, throwing Hero over the top rope and to the floor. Cage then no sells a lariat from Seven, and blasts him with a spinning backfist. A Weapon X later evens the odds, leaving us with Hero v. Cage to determine the sole survivor.

The two trade killing blows, with Cage connecting with a buckle bomb/liger bomb combo for a two count. Hero elbows his way out of a Weapon X, and boots Cage in back of the head. A Hero's Welcome score Hero a long two count. Hero tries locking in the Hangman's Clutch, but Cage grabs the wrists of Hero blocking him from locking in the submission. Cage snapmeres Hero to the mat, and connects with a beautiful standing dropkick. Cage goes for a stalling suplex, but Hero blocks it and murders Cage with a series of Roaring Elbows. A boot to the jaw rocks Cage, but he's still standing. Hero runs against the ropes blasting Cage with a sickening leaping elbow to the back of the head! Hero makes the cover for the three count, becoming the sole survivor of the match in just over 20 minutes!

[INTERMISSION]
Ring Announcer, the lovely, Melissa Santos announces a short 15 minute intermission. Half the crowd goes to the bar, while the other half head to the bathrooms. However, the scheduled 15 minute intermission is cut down to only about 8 minutes when The Bullet Club comes out interrupting the schedule. Revolution Heavyweight champion, Sami Callihan leads the pact of Nick and Matt Jackson collectively called The Young Bucks.

Sami Callihan does not look happy as he scares Melissa Santos into giving him the microphone before scurrying out of the ring. Callihan says that they have been waiting all fucking day in the back to see who our opponents will be, but "that fucking pussy, Gabe Sapolsky refuses to let them know". Sami calls this company a fucking farce, they claim to have respect for the guys but because he's not their guy like a Seth Rollins or Chris Hero he doesn't get that fucking respect. Well this weekend The Bullet Club is going to take their respect by force! He calls out whatever trio that Gabe has pulled out of his ass tonight.

Johnny Gargano comes running out from the back attacking The Bullet Club, but quickly succumbs to the numbers game. But it doesn't take long for Revolution X-Division champion, Super ACH to come running out from the back. He's bruised, battered, and bandaged up after last night's brutal Ladder Match. ACH tries his best to fight off the trio, hitting Stone Cold Stunners on Nick and Matt Jackson! Sami is quick to take his head off with a giant boot to the face!

The Bullet Club pummel and beat down the duo of Johnny Gargano and the X-Division champion, ACH. The Chicago crowd is almost ready to start a riot. Trash slowly begins to litter the ring, as Sami Callihan screams at the crowd to fucking respect them. The jeers from the fans turn into a thunderous ovation when former/inaugrial Heavyweight champion, Seth Rollins comes running out from the back. He quickly clears the ring of Sami and The Young Bucks. The odds are now even as we impromptly segue into our next contest.

Match Twelve
Six Man Tag Team Match: Bullet Club (Sami Callihan & Young Bucks) vs. Johnny Gargano, Super ACH, & Seth Rollins
[60 Minute Time Limit]

A brawl is immediate with Rollins and Callihan fight on the outside, through the crowd. The Young Bucks battle ACH and Gargano in the ring which ends with ACH getting dumped to the floor by Matt Jackson. Nick Jackson is quickly locked in the GargaNO Escape, but eats a Superkick from Matt who saves his brother from a quick tap out loss. ACH enters with a springboard, but Nick shoves Matt out of harms way saving his brother. This leads to him eating the dropkick to the face. ACH kips up and is on fire, but takes a Superkick of his own from Matt. Seth enters with a huge springboard knee to Matt's head, this sends him tumbling to the floor on the outside of the ring. Seth ducks a Superkick from Nick and kicks out his knee. Seth then blasts Nick with a kneeling superkick for a quick two count, which Sami breaks up with a steel chair.

Sami begins to smash the chair into any part of Rollins' body, just wailing at him with no body part being targeted in particular. Sami swings at Johnny Wrestling who ducks it, this allows ACH to boot the chair into Callihan's face! Matt looks for a float-over X-Factor on ACH who catches him with a running bucklebomb! Johnny then tosses Nick Jackson with a lawn dart toss into the corner into his brother Matt! ACH then blasts Nick in back of the head with a running corner dropkick. Nick rolls to the floor, leaving his brother exposed for Johnny to blast him in the face with a running dropkick! Johnny throws Matt Jackson into a Stone Cold Stunner from Super ACH! ACH covers for the 1...2...SAMI SHOVES JOHNNY INTO ACH BREAKING THE COVER!

A kneeling Callihan gives ACH and Gargano the middle finger as he spits at them both. ACH blasts him in the jaw with a sliding knee, knocking the Heavyweight champion loopy. Johnny and Rollins then blast a still kneeling Sami in the face with double superkicks! Nick and Matt enter and kill them both with superkicks! ACH tries fighting off The Young Bucks, he looks for a Stunner on Matt who blocks it and shoves ACH into a Superkick from Nick! Sami then picks the chair back up and bashes ACH's knee with it until he forfeits into submission in 12 minutes!

After the match, Sami order The Young Bucks to bring in a table and they follow order to a the letter T. Nick and Matt set the table up, leaning against a turnbuckle corner. Johnny Wrestling tries entering but takes a double superkick off the apron from The Bucks. Seth Rollins fights his way through Nick and Matt only to take a sickening chair shot to the head! ACH is being carried to the back by referee, PJ Drummond. Sami takes the microphone, and screams that they rule this fucking company! They don't give a fuck who wins tonight's tournament, because next month they'll be staring across the ring at the motherfucking DEATH MACHINE!

The crowd quickly loses their shit at the arrival/return of Luke Harper who erects from the back. Sami and The Bucks cannot believe it, as Excalibur questions if Gabe Sapolsky has reinstated the what looks to be 'formerly' suspended Luke Harper. Corey says that desperate times call for desperate measure. Nick looks for a suicide dive onto Luke Harper who catches him by the throat with one hand, and Choke Slams Nick onto the concrete floor! Harper hops on the apron, and swats away a superkick attempt from Matt. Harper then throws Matt over the top rope and to the floor. Sami attacks Harper, and the two begin to brawl. Callihan kicks Harper in the balls before running against the canvas but Harper boots his head off! Luke picks up Callihan and throws him through the table set up in the corner of the ring! The fourth Bullet Club member, Adam Cole comes running out from the back. He hops on the apron as if he's about to go toe to toe with the seven foot, Harper. But he wisely hops off and collects his partners.

Match Thirteen
EGI Finals: King Ricochet vs. Bryan Danielson vs. (EPW Undisputed Heavyweight Champion) Pete Dunne
[NO TIME LIMIT]

Corey Graves and Excalibur go over the three finalists' separate paths to this very moment in time. Danielson has spent the most in ring time out of anyone this weekend, having wrestling just under ninety minutes. Hearing that fact, you wouldn't be surprised to hear that is Semi Final match was the shortest of this trio. Dunne made quick work of Candice LeRae, whereas Ricochet moreorless survived Castagnoli's onslaught for 11 minutes to catch him off guard. The Chicago crowd is hyped for this contest, chanting all three mens names before the bell even sounds. And when it does it's almost inaudible over the standing room only audience. The winner of this earns the right to challenge Sami Callihan for the Revolution championship on December 15th at Chapter 13. Commentary also makes sure to clarify that this is being held under Elimination Rules to determine a definitive winner as is tradition of this 4th installment of the prestigious tournament.

A three way lock up begins, as the crowd continues dual chanting the three men's names. Commentary points out the impossibilities to pinpoint a favorite solely based on fan support. Dunne is quick to catch Ricochet in a roll up, but Danielson hops on his back with a Rear Naked Choke. Ricochet blasts Danielson with a buzzsaw kick. Dunne doesn't appreciate the help as he blasts Ricochet in the jaw with a stiff forearm. Ricochet and the EPW Heavyweight champion begin exchanging strikes in the center of the ring. Danielson enters the fray, throwing a European Uppercut to both his opponents. Ricochet looks for a Pele Kick on Danielson who ducks it, and he blasts Dunne in the side of the head. Danielson immediately grabs a leg of Ricochet's, locking him in a knee bar. Ricochet writhes in pain on the mat, as he quickly scratches and claws his way to the ropes as fast as possible. Ricochet pulls himself out of the ring on the apron, he blocks a forearm from Danielson. Dunne comes sprinting at him but eats a kick to the side of the head, rocking him backwards. King Ricochet connects with a picture perfect springboard double lariat onto both Danielson and Dunne.

Dragon and Bruserweight roll out of the ring to the floor on separate sides of the ring. Ricochet connects with a handspring moonsault over the ropes and to the outside onto Bryan Danielson! He slides right back in, and looks for the same thing but notices Dunne moving out of the way. He fakes Dunne out, flipping over the ropes onto the apron on his feet. Dunne grabs him by the ankle and yanks Ricochet down into a flatliner on the hard flooring! Dunne grabs Melissa Santos' chair, and sits Ricochet on it as he stiffs him with forearms. Dunne looks for a running forearm, but Danielson catches him with an exploder sending Dunne flying into the seated King Ricochet. This flattens the chair like a pancake underneath the impact. Danielson picks up Ricochet, who is pissed and palm strikes the fuck out of The American Dragon. He sends Danielson back into the ring, and goes for a springboard attack but Dunne pulls him down to ringside. Danielson looks for a running suicide dive, but gets hung up in the ropes with a stiff forearm from Pete Dunne. Ricochet then kicks Dunne in back of the head, and blasts Danielson with a springboard lariat inside of the ring! Ricochet covers, but Danielson kicks out at two.

Ricochet forearms a near drained to death Danielson into a corner. The King sprints at Danielson who moves out of the way causing Ricochet to eat a stiff forearm from Dunne on the apron. Dunne quickly climbs to the top rope and dives over Ricochet, who ducks under him as Dunne connects with a senton splash on Danielson for a two count. Ricochet then hits a running shooting star press on Dunne for a quick two count of his own! All three men lay on the canvas motionless, and nearing exhaustion just over ten minutes into the contest. Ricochet then plants Danielson into the canvas with a dead lift german suplex for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Ricochet and Danielson pull one another up by using one another's help. They begin trading strikes, as Dunne enters back into the ring only to get chucked back to the outside by both men. Danielson blasts Ricochet in the chest with repeated sparring kicks causing Ricochet to drop to his knees. Danielson doesn't let up, unleashing a half dozen more kicks to Ricochet's chest. Danielson looks for the final kick to the back of Ricochet's head, but he's able to pop up with a rana out of nowhere for a quick two count!

King Ricochet goes onto the apron and slowly makes his way to the top rope, where Dunne grabs him by the foot. Ricochet punches him off of his leg, before kicking Dunne off the apron and back down to the floor. Ricochet pulls himself back up and leaps off the top rope for a picture perfect Shooting Star Press, but Danielson catches him down below in a Triangle Choke! Ricochet tries struggling his way, but can't find a way out. Instead, he must waste precious energy just attempting to reach the ropes. Thankfully, Ricochet is able to successfully grab them. Dunne from the outside begins to bite the knuckles of Ricochet's that clench the bottom rope. Danielson then blasts him with a big baseball slide, sending Dunne into the crowd! Danielson looks for a Dragon Suplex on Ricochet who counters into a roll up out of nowhere for a two count. Ricochet ducks under a clothesline from Danielson and eats a forearm from Dunne as he attempts a dive through the ropes! Dunne throws Ricochet back into the ring, where Dragon covers for a long two count.

Dunne and Danielson exchange forearms, until Dunne stiff him with a boot to the jaw. This rocks Dragon backwards, as Dunne hits the ropes Danielson drop toe holds him into an STF! Ricochet then connects with a Running Shooting Star Press onto both of them! Ricochet covers Danielson for a long two count. All three men pull each other with one anothers help, Ricochet misses a kick on Dunne and blasts Danielson sending him to the apron! Dunne attempts a release german suplex but Ricochet lands on his feet. Ricochet snaps off a standing reverse rana on Dunne, which rocks the EPW Undisputed Champion loopy! Ricochet bounces off the ropes, only to take a stiff European uppercut from Dragon on the apron. Ricochet falls back into the Bitter End from Dunne! The Bruiserweight covers Ricochet for the 1...2...3! King Ricochet is eliminate at 23:09.

We are down to the final two men in the fourth Eddie Guerrero Invitational ever! Bryan Danielson versus Pete Dunne to determine this years champion. The crowd gives a respectable "THANK YOU, RICOCHET" chant as he's helped to the back by PJ Drummond. Dunne blasts Danielson with stiff forearms, and bounces off the ropes. Danielson knocks him out cold on his feet with a stiff forearm of his own. American Dragon bounces off the ropes, coming back right into a stiff forearm from Dunne! Both men then blast each other at the same with forearm shots, this knocks both men out as we are nearing the half hour stretch. Senior official, Rudy Charles begin to count both men down, but they reach their feet at his count of seven. Both men aren't even standing as much as they are leaning on one another. Dunne grabs Danielson by the jaw and smacks him in the face with palm strikes. Dunne bounces off the ropes but eats a headbutt to the jaw which echoes throughout the building. Danielson runs against the ropes, and eats a boot to the mouth followed by a lariat from Pete Dunne! Both men are down again!

The two finalist reach their feet at the count of nine before trading forearm blows. Dunne attempts a discus forearm, but Danielson grabs him in a tazz mission on the mat. Dunne reaches for the ropes, but is too far away and decides to roll backwards into a pinning sutuation. The cover is only enough for a two count. Danielson grabs Dunne by the jaw and unloads with palm slaps. Bryan bounces off the ropes into a stiff elbow that rocks Dragon into a Dragon Suplex for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Dunne grabs Danielson by the wrist, and boots him in the face several times. Dunne pulls him up into an End Time attempt, but Dragon counter in a roll up into a triangle choke! Danielson wrenches the hold on as he begins delivering stiff elbow to the top of Dunne's dome. Dunne, however is able to power Danielson up and buckle bomb him into the corner and blast him in the jaw with a wild right forearm shiver!

Dunne looks for a piledriver but Danielson spins out of it, keeping hold of Pete's wrist and pulls him into a tight small package for the 1...2...KICK OUT! Dunne blasts him with a forearm, boot, and discus forearm combo in the jaw of Danielson. An End Time is blocked by Danielson as he forces Dunne into the canvas. Dragon attempts the Cattle Mutilation, but Dunne is able to roll with it into a cover for a two count. Dunne attempts a wild forearm, but Danielson pulls him into a cross arm breaker! Dunne rolls through it into an End Time attempt. Danielson flips Dunne backwards with a back body drop, rolling with it and boots Dunne in the face. Dragon immediately locks him in a Triangle Choke! Dunne tries struggling free, but when he realizes there's no escape he begins reaching for the ropes Danielson begins delivers elbow after elbow to the top of Dunne's head forcing him into submission in just over 40 minutes!

After the match, both men lay in the center of the canvas on the verge of being completely knocked out. Rudy Charles raises the arm of American Dragon's to a loud standing ovation. Gabe Sapolsky comes out, carrying the enormous trophy and awards it to Daniel Bryan. Bryan remains on his knees from pure exhaustion, thanking Gabe with a simple nod. Pete Dunne is slow to reach his feet, as he also receives a polite ovation from Chicago. Dunne, holding the back of his head walks over to Daniel Bryan staring him down with an intense look. Dunne reaches his hand out for a handshake, and Bryan accepts! Dunne leaves the ring without saying a word, grabs his EPW Undisputed Title, and screams back at Bryan, inviting him to come down to the UK and they'll do it again, next time for the championship!

Dragon takes the microphone, promising to keep it quick because of how late it is and his chest feels like it's about to cave in, and his jaw hanging by a thread. He thanks the crowd for their support over the past couple years during his retirement. He calls it the most difficult time in his life, but tonight made those years' worth it. He calls this weekend his redemption, and thanks Gabe, the fans, and Revolution Wrestling for inviting him into this tournament. He says that he didn't just win this thing for himself, but he did it for his wife, Brie Bella who is amongst the ruckus Chicago crowd. He did it for every fan that believed in him, and next month he promises to do it again and win the Revolution Heavyweight championship!

Great opening bout - that was honestly the best match to pick to start things off. I’m a fan of intergender matches done right, and this was booked well. I would’ve liked to have seen some sort of friction where Cole looked ready to attack Candice post-match, but Gargano and her stand side by side or something. Just so Cole can get over a bit and build a year long tension between Cole/Gargano for maybe next year’s EGI.

• Dunne/Fenix was well booked. I liked that Dunne had no chance against Fenix’s speed, but that his hard hitting style and “big move” reversal got him the win

• Sadly, I don’t know who Mat Fitchett is, and the match didn’t really introduce me to him, so Riddle winning was the right move.

• Cobb vs. Cesaro is a personal dream match of mine - so this was a pleasant surprise. Cobb missing the headbutt was a nasty spot - I liked the realism there, that maybe he fucked up in-ring. The end was a bit confusing. I have no idea how the Tour of the Islands got reversed into a backslide - would’ve been nice to get a litte more descriptive on such a unique reversal. Good match - only nit picky thing is I’d like to have seen some sort of post-match between them.

• Pentagon vs. Danielson is an AWESOME match - never thought of it. Again, you have a knack of making matches that match everyone look good. Penta lost by submission, but still looked strong. Well done.

• Richochet vs. Chuck Taylor - not a huge fan of Chuckie T like most, so this match didn’t do much for me. I’m REALLY happy RIchochet won.

• Rev Tag TItle Match - I’m really confused as to who won this match. Was it a draw?

• Dunne vs. Candice seemed like it wasn’t 8 minutes - it actually came off much shorter. The way I read it, Candice controlled because of pre-match attacks, and lost pretty quickly. I think this made her look a bit weak after such a showing to Adam Cole. Then again, Pete Dunne is EPW Champion - so he’s like the UBER MEGA BOSS at the end of the game, so it may just show that Candice isn’t ready for that kind of main event status yet. If that was your intent - very NJPW-ish booking there (and that’s a complement)

• LOVED RIddle/Danielson - my fav match on that card. I could see it play out just as you wrote it.

• RIcochet vs. Claudio - interesting mix of styles and a surprising ending!

• I’m not a huge fan of elimination matches and the big one didn’t seem to have a reason for it, so I couldn’t get into it much

• I dug the Bullet Club match - Sami as part of the group is a good fit. Also liked how Harper is being booked - he has SO much potential to be that big main event star and it shows in this segment.

• I had a feeling Danielson was going over in the tournament - he was definitely booked the strongest. I’d imagine it was done because of his recent ‘coming out of retirement’, so it makes sense. I REALLY like the heat with Dunne/Danielson - I’d be pumped to see an EPW vs. RevPro showdown super show headlined by those two - particularly if Danielson gets the RevPro title.

I’ve missed the EGI tournament shows, really fun read for my first full show in FBL :)

- Candice's run in the EGI has been fun. Fitting seeing her lose to a legit finalist in Pete Dunne.

- Loved The Bruiserweight's road to the final. Don't mind him coming short at all after the impressive showing he put on over the weekend.

- Would be interested to see a Claudio/Cobb rematch. Castagnoli has the ability to work with anyone well and this was a great bout.

- Keith Lee and Juice Robinson are an odd couple however gave the reigning tag champions a run for their money.

- The 8 Man Tag was all kinds of fun. I think Chris Hero could come out of the weekend with a case for a title shot with that win.

- Brutal finish to the Bullet Club match. Callihan is a relentless leader. I am excited to see who puts them in their place.

- The main event was terrific. Danielson was a worthy winner of the EGI. I wouldn't be opposed to Danielson/Dunne again either. :)

I probably should have clarified that Davey Vega and Trevor Lee won the match. The show was running long, so was trying to avoid writing more than necessary. Really glad you guys liked the show though. Besides my "Have A Nice Day" show, this was the most fun I've had writing since rejoining.

I tried to keep a 13 match card as brief and easy to read as possible. lol.
