RELOADED MATCH #1: Millie McKenzie defeated Kay Lee Ray via pinfall with the Bridging Dragon Suplex for the three. The two shook hands after the match. RELOADED MATCH #2: Josh Bodom defeated Joe Coffey via pinfall when he got out of the way of the Discus Lariat and pulled off the Bliss Bluster out of the corner. RELOADED MATCH #3: The Grizzled Young Veterans defeated The C.C.K via pinfall with their new Assisted Lung Blower double team move; the Ticket To Mayhem. EPW Live #117 After Reloaded ends, the main broadcast opens with a video recap of the conclusion of last week's show which saw The Corporate Entourage brutally attack Pete Dunne and Nick Aldis cashing in his briefcase to win the gold immediately afterwards. The final image of the episode was the new champion being held up by William Regal's corporate team to signify that he was on board with their crusade. Tonight we are live in Sheffield. Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness and Alex Shane welcome us to the show and run down the scheduled card right away which includes The South Pacific Power Couple in mixed tag team action, David Starr vs. Travis Banks, a heavyweight show down between Bram and Wolfgang, El Ligero goes one-on-one with Noam Dar and Nikki Cross and Katey Harvey team up to take on the unlikely duo of EPW British Women's Champion Viper and Klondyke Kate Classic winner Xia Brookside. Boos fill the arena when out walks William Regal to the ring with The Corporate Entourage following behind. The commissioner retrieves a microphone on his way in to the ring before giving a big introduction to the double champion and the crown jewel of 'his' company; Nick Aldis. The National Treasure struts out dressed in a expensive looking suit with one title around his waist and the other over his shoulder. He receives huge boos from the audience. Aldis doesn't care though. All he cares about is that he is now the most valuable asset in English Pro Wrestling. After shaking the hands of several of his new allies, Regal passed him over a microphone to address the 'YOU SOLD OUT' chants being hurled at him. The antagonist from Norwich replied by explaining that he didn't sell out, he bought in. He continued to tell them that he was, still is and will forever be the people's champion whether they know it or not. Apparently the belts need to be over the shoulder or around the waist of someone with class and decorum rather than thugs like Pete Dunne and Drew Galloway. With The Corporate Entourage behind him, he promises to take this company to new heights by being the face of the brand that we all deserve. Heat is at an all-time high. His new associates are eating up every word. Aldis turns to Regal and tells them that he has a gift for them all. The National Treasure wants to show his appreciation to them for being so welcoming. He welcomes out the returning Big Damo who gets a mixed reaction by marching down the aisle. The last time we saw The Beast From Belfast he was dragged out by William Regal's security team and arena security at EPW Live #106. Damo steps in to the ring. The Corporate Entourage all escape to ringside confused at what the hell is going on. As Regal looks up at Aldis who is still in the ring, the champion reveals that he has been in talks with Damo for several days and they have come to an agreement. He is willing to put all the ill will with The Corporate Entourage behind him and re-join them in exchange for the EPW British Atlas Championship. The reluctant boss slowly re-enters the ring. He has a short stare down with his ex-ally before watching Aldis hand over the gold. Regal then offers his hand and welcomes him back in to The Corporate Entourage. After a moment, Damo accepts. The boos fill the arena again as the faction leave together down the aisle and it appears that the champion has done some troubleshooting on behalf of his new crew. TK Cooper & Dahlia Black vs. Rene Dupree & Killer Kelly BUILD: It has been a little while since The South Pacific Power Couple have teamed up. Both TK Cooper and Dahlia Black have been focusing on their singles careers. Black had a run with the EPW British Women's Championship last year however her momentum has since fizzled out. Cooper now has four consecutive victories on television, has put on ten pounds of muscle and is eligible to compete in the Atlas Division after finding little success in the Junior Division. The crowd get a nice surprise when Rene Dupree is revealed to be the first opponent of the duo. He appears humbled by the reaction as he makes his way out to the ring and still looks in decent shape despite not being in the mainstream eye for a while. As he hits the ring, he shakes hand with both TK and Dahlia as a sign of respect. Next out is Killer Kelly. This heavy hitter from Portugal has been impressing many on the European circuit. Now is her chance to impress in the hottest company on the continent right now. She has a similar attitude to that of her partner bumping fists with both of her opponents. MATCH HIGHLIGHTS - The two men go at it at first and grapple down to the canvas to exchange holds. Rene Dupree's strength allows him to gain the lion's share of the offence before executing a Rolling Neck Snap in the middle. - Rene Dupree carries on riding the wave of momentum with a Snap Suplex, a Running Elbow Drop and delivers the Loire Valley Driver for a two count. The fans pop when he then pulls off his French Tickler taunt. - TK Cooper fights his way out of a Camel Clutch. The underdog from New Zealand pulls off a 360 Corkscrew Back Elbow Smash, a Dropkick and a Springboard Bulldog before tagging in his partner Dahlia Black. - Dahlia Black is wiped out immediately by Killer Kelly who takes her off of her feet with a Running Spear. After several mounted punches, the import from Portugal applies an Abdominal Stretch submission hold. - Killer Kelly stomps down on the canvas to signify that she is lining up for her finisher; the Superkick. It is early however she is determined to put an end to the match. She charges forward but is met with a Running High Knee. - The tables have been turned. Dahlia Black jumps over and tags in her boyfriend who charges in. In comes Rene Dupree too. The two exchange blows while Black sends Kelly to ringside with a Cactus Clothesline. FINISH: Rene Dupree sticks his foot up out of the corner to make a last ditch attempt at making a come back for his team. As Cooper staggers back, he is dropped with a Clothesline and floored again with a Spinebuster. The French Phenom is back in control. He locks in his trademark Cobra Clutch; the Bonne Nuit. He rag dolls TK for a while until his opponent counters with a Snapmare. Dupree hits the turnbuckles hard and drops down to the canvas. The former EPW British Tag Team Champion takes advantage by executing the Split-Legged Moonsault followed by a pin. The count is made and the crowd cheer as the official hits three. TK Cooper secures the victory. Dahlia Black eventually joins her partner in the ring and they embrace with a hug before playing to the crowd on the turnbuckles. As they come back down, their opponent have recovered and offer their hand once again to the winners. They accept. The South Pacific Power Couple soon leave the ring to cheers. Rene Dupree and Killer Kelly take in a standing applause after a good effort. Suddenly Jordan Devlin appears behind them in the ring and catches the female babyface from Portugal with a Superkick to the jaw. Dupree is disgusted and throws a Clothesline. Devlin ducks though before drilling The French Phenom with a Corkscrew Roundhouse Kick which sends him staggering. He finally floors him with the Package Piledriver before yelling for ring announcer Andy Sheppard to hand him over a microphone. The heel from Ireland doesn't mess around. He simply stands in the middle of the ring, brings the microphone to his mouth and says 'JORDAN DEVLIN - IMPORT KILLER!' Boos fill the building as he leaves the ring with a grin on his face. He stated last week that he promises to make every import that steps in to an EPW ring feel unwelcome and he's definitely done that tonight. We cut back to William Regal's office where he has summoned Big Damo for a talk to finally settle their issues. The commissioner tells The Beast From Belfast that the EPW British Atlas Championship actually looks pretty good on him which he does not respond to. He then explains that he can still feel some tension and he is determined to right any wrongs from the past before asking the monster what he can do to get him 100% back on board with The Corporate Entourage. The monster strokes his beard and goes over being handcuffed and treated like a dog courtesy of Regal however there is one thing Regal can do to show that he is committed to making this work. The boss says he will do anything before Damo reveals that he wants Fit Finlay, Dave Taylor and Robbie Brookside in the ring tonight. They were the ones who cost him this title in the first place. They were the ones responsible for what happened to him. It's them that have to pay the price. As Regal thinks about it, Damo demands an answer now or he's out. The commissioner caves in and has thrown his security team under a 320lb, angry, frustrated, hell bent on revenge sized bus. The Beast From Belfast swings the title over his shoulder, pats Regal on the back and strolls out of the office. After he leaves, the boss sighs wondering how he's going to break the news to his long time, trusted servants. David Starr vs. Travis Banks BUILD: Since arriving in EPW, David Starr has had mixed results in the ring but there's no denying that his charismatic style is popular with the fans every week. Ring announcer Andy Sheppard is handed the list of nicknames which only seems to be getting longer every week however the crowd are eating it up. Travis Banks will be his opponent tonight coming off a frustrating defeat in the Battle For The Briefcase. The Kiwi Buzzsaw was hoping to retrieve the briefcase for a second year in a row and this time successfully cash in however Nick Aldis did both over the past two weeks. In the mean time, Banks has grown annoyed at his Australasian Strong Style stable mates; The Aussie Open. They have not accompanied him down to ringside this evening however Nigel McGuinness claims he spoke to them backstage earlier and insists there is no underlying tension between the trio. MATCH HIGHLIGHTS - The bout begins with some fast paced counters and reversals. David Starr eventually backs up his opponent in to the corner, delivers some strikes and Travis Banks sends some back his way. - They both end up out on the apron fighting it out. Travis Banks goes for a Bicycle Kick which is caught. David Starr pushes him in to the turnbuckles and drills him with a Superkick on the rebound. - Travis Banks pulls himself up via the barricade. As The Kiwi Buzzsaw turns, he sees David Starr flying at him with a Running Suicide Dive through the ropes so moves. The Product crashes in to the steel barricade. - Back in the ring, The Kiwi Buzzsaw dominates with several stomps to the back of the neck and locks on a Fujiwara Armbar. He works the arm for some time and launches him shoulder first in to the turnbuckles. - The leader of Australasian Strong Style carries on in charge of the match delivering a German Suplex, the Slice Of Heaven and the Kiwi Crusher for a near fall. David Starr shows great resilience moving forward. - David Starr eventually fires back with several stiff elbows followed by the Roaring Elbow. The crowd pop big for his trademark Running Pelvic Thrust. He gets a near fall of his own following the Brainbuster on to the knee. - The Philadelphia native has the crowd on side. As Banks sits up, Starr drills him with a nasty sound Superkick to the jaw. He locks on a Sharpshooter however the warrior from New Zealand finds his way to the ropes. FINISH: Still in control, David Starr motions for the Product Placement. Down the aisle comes The Aussie Open who are determined to redeem themselves to their mentor Travis Banks. Kyle Fletcher gets up on the apron to distract the official. Mark Davis in the mean time is in the ring and throws Starr at the ropes with the Pop-Up Powerbomb in mind. Instead The Product catches the attacker on the way down with a Snap DDT. He quickly blasts Fletcher with a Roaring Elbow off the apron. As he turns, Travis Banks has recovered and drags the valiant babyface down in to the Lion's Clutch. The finishing hold is applied. David Starr tried his best to wriggle out but cannot find a way out. He taps. Travis Banks wins. The Kiwi Buzzsaw releases the hold and proudly gets his arm raised in victory. After joining his interfering allies at ringside, he nods his head in approval before they make a quick exit to the back. David Starr is furious at what's just gone down. He argues the referee's decision however the official had no knowledge of the interference. William Regal is sat in his office when Fit Finlay, Dave Taylor and Robbie Brookside walk in. The commissioner informs them that they will take on Big Damo later tonight to which they flip out big time. Finlay claims he has always been loyal to the boss and now he's throwing the three of them out like sacrificial lambs to the slaughter. Taylor pipes up knowing Damo will be out for blood and they will be the ones to suffer the consequences for doing the job he asked them to do. Eventually Robbie Brookside calms them down trusting the commissioner has done the right thing. The Liverpool Lad asks Regal whether they can have Regal's Rules in their favour which is shot down immediately. The boss orders his three stooges to go prove themselves to him and questions whether they are a valuable asset to The Corporate Entourage. When they argue this, he tells them to go and prove it then to which they are then told to leave. Bram (with The Sanguinary) vs. Wolfgang BUILD: Two weeks ago on Reloaded we saw Bram get a pinfall victory over Joe Coffey which was followed by a post-match beat down. Wolfgang eventually came down for the save. The enforcer of The Sanguinary stood up to The Regulator initially before backing off and leaving the ring. As Wolfgang makes his return to in ring competition, the crowd greet him with cheers and the former EPW British Tag Team Champion lets out a huge howl when he steps up to the top rope. The arena fills with boos when his opponent marches down the aisle with Vicky Haskins by his side and reigning EPW British Tag Team Champions Jimmy Havoc and Mark Haskins following close behind. It looks like Wolfgang is going to have a tough time fending off the villainous faction. There's no doubt they're going to try and get involved. MATCH HIGHLIGHTS - The two heavyweights spend the first stages of the match in a test of strength before the heel from Chesterfield thrusts his opponent in to the corner. He throws some knife edge chops. His opponent throws some back. - After both men dish out some heavy duty strikes, Wolfgang gets the better of his adversary. He delivers an Atomic Drop followed up with a Clothesline followed by a Fireman's Carry Double Knee Gutbuster. - Wolfgang goes for the ten punches in the corner. Bram counters at eight with a Standing Powerbomb and gets a one count following a Jumping Knee Drop. He then applies a Chinlock with a Bodyscissors to slow the pace. - The Regulator eventually battles back. The brawler from Scotland executes the Wasteland. He then climbs to the second rope to fly on to his opponent with a Moonsault for a two count. The Sanguinary pull Bram out to safety. - Back in the ring, Wolfgang sets up for a Spinning Side Slam however Bram escapes the move. The Chesterfield Plague nails a Spinning Sitout Jawbreaker and a Vertical Suplex dropped in to a Neckbreaker Slam for a near fall. - Bram attacks his opponent in the corner with repeated elbows, several stomps and a nasty looking face wash. Wolfgang tries to fight back but is distracted by Jimmy Havoc who tries to get up on to the apron. FINISH: Bram remains in control applying the Chinlock with a Body Scissors for a second time. It appears that Wolfgang is fading away at first until he rises to a vertical base and escapes the hold with some elbows to the ribs. The Regulator turns the tables with an Uppercut, a Spinebuster and a Sidewalk Slam. The fans in Sheffield rise as the babyface climbs the ropes once again. This time he intends on executing his finishing move; the Howling. The largest flyer in English Pro Wrestling is up top however The Sanguinary decide it is time to get involved. Mark Haskins is up on the apron to distract the referee whilst his wife quickly rushes up to crotch Wolfgang with a Low Blow. Jimmy Havoc follows up with an Avalanche Frankensteiner which puts the victim in position for the Brighter Side Of Suffering by Bram. He hooks the leg. As Haskins climbs back down, the official counts three and it is over. Bram steals this one with help from his stablemates. The Sanguinary stand tall in the ring. After they shoe Wolfgang to ringside, Jimmy Havoc is handed a microphone and demands the attention of the crowd. The King Of The Goths declares that they own the tag team division. Apparently there is no team in the locker room that has proven themselves worth enough to share the ring with them and those that have ended up the victims of a humiliating beating. The champions leave the ring having made a statement. The fans don't like them but there's no denying the dominance of The Sanguinary. Jennifer Louise is standing by for an interview in the backstage area. The House Of Couture are her guests at this time and their leader doesn't give the interviewer time to pose any questions before snatching the microphone from her. The Resident Fashionista gets straight down to business. Jinny expresses that it is her opinion that Katie Lea simply got lucky last week against Chakara. Unlike the veteran, the rookie has never been in a Tables Match before and she claims that things would have been different in a straight singles match. Couture doesn't want to get mixed up in all that though. She wants to look ahead. On behalf of her associate Laura Di Matteo she wants to challenge Katie Lea to a Submission Match next week. As The Sicilian Shooter nods her head in approval and begins to shadow box, Jinny predicts that the Italian enforcer will teach the experienced Katie Lea a lesson. Finally she explains that this is a new era in the women's division and there's no place for Katie Lea. A shorter version of the vignette that aired at EPW Live #114 hyping the upcoming debut of April Davids with footage of her choking out trainees plus kicking and punching the hell out of a punching bag. Apparently The Yorkshire Terrier will be arriving in English Pro Wrestling in two weeks with the tag line; 'NO ONE IS SAFE'. El Ligero (with Joe Hendry) vs. Noam Dar BUILD: The past several weeks has seen a change in behaviour from El Ligero which was explained two weeks ago that Joe Hendry has a dark secret over The Masked Sensation that he will reveal to the world if he doesn't follow his and The Corporate Entourage's lead. The masked high-flyer seems reluctant to even make his way down to the aisle with his master barking orders in his ear to ignore the fans. The commentary team explain that Noam Dar has been outspoken in the back throughout the day that he may have sympathy for Ligero's predicament however he can't afford to pull any punches. The Scottish Supernova is desperate to get back in to the title mix in the Junior Division. He was screwed out of his shot at Josh Bodom's gold several weeks ago and is desperate to get back in the hunt. Noam Dar offers a hand shake before the bell. It appears that El Ligero wants to accept however Joe Hendry orders him not to and instead slap his opponent across the face. He does so which the grappler from Scotland doesn't take lightly. MATCH HIGHLIGHTS - Noam Dar goes in hard with the strikes including uppercuts, chops and shoot kicks to get redemption for what happened before the bell. He executes a Dragon Screw Leg Whip too early to set up for the finish which is countered. - El Ligero fires back with a Running Forearm, a Dropkick and a Handspring Bulldog. As his opponent sits up, he dishes out a Buzzsaw Kick to the jaw which pleases his master who applauds him from ringside. - The match rolls on with The Masked Sensation taking it to his former friend. With The Prestigious One yelling at him to get more aggressive at ringside, he applies a Camel Clutch to exert the energy from his opponent. - The Scottish Supernova fights back with even more strikes followed by a Running Single Leg Dropkick to the leg of his opponent. The Champagne Super Kneebar is teased for a second time but Ligero manages to escape again. - The masked high-flyer turns the tables with a Spinning Back Kick. He then executes a Sunset Flip Powerbomb for a two count. Ligero awaits Noam to stand so he can nail the El Booto. Dar moves and pulls off a Russian Leg Sweep. - The fans are well behind Noam Dar. He sends his adversary dizzy with an Airplane Spin transitioned in to a Northern Lights Suplex for a two count of his own. The Scottish Supernova remains in control of the contest. FINISH: Noam Dar runs the ropes with the intention of pulling off the Nova Roller. Joe Hendry trips him from the outside allowing El Ligero to hammer him with several shoot kicks whilst he is in a seated position. The Masked Sensation executes the Shiranui for a near fall which angers Hendry. The Prestigious orders him to hit his opponent harder which he does in the form of several shoot kicks. The Scottish Supernova eventually catches one and sends him crashing down to the canvas with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip. On the third attempt, he finally locks on the Champagne Super Kneebar. El Ligero taps. Noam Dar picks up the win. He has his arm raised and takes to the turnbuckles to celebrate his victory. As he looks down at his fallen opponent, he goes to help him up however is jumped from behind by Joe Hendry. The furious heel beats down the victor with mounted punches until he is pushed away by El Ligero. The loser pleads with his ally to stop. Hendry ignores him and sends Noam Dar down to the canvas with the Olympic Slam. He then drills Ligero with an open hand slap. The two exchange words in the ring. Before any thing gets physical, Hendry points towards the back and Ligero slowly bows his head. The Masked Sensation leaves with his tail between his legs again. The Prestigious One watches on with a huge grin on his face. We return from the break where Josh Bodom has made an unexpected entrance to the ring. The EPW British Junior Champion ducked a title defence last week with a 'sick note' however he looks fit as a fiddle right now. The Blonde Bomber explains that seeing as no man in the locker room was worthy to challenge for his belt he had to look further and defend against international competition in the form of Angelico two weeks ago. He still stands in front of the fans as champion and makes the bold claim to be the greatest Junior Heavyweight in the world right now. Apparently there is no man that can take the gold from him. Groans are heard from the audience who are fed up of Bodom's boasting week in week out. Bodom calls the fans a disgrace for not showing him the respect he deserves. Some unfamiliar music begins to play to which the crowd turn their attention to the video screen. The name on the screen reads 'KUSHIDA' which gets a pop from a large portion of the crowd. Mauro Ranallo yells out 'MAMA MIA!' before Nigel McGuinness explains that Kushida is arguable one of the finest junior heavyweights in the world right now. The Time Splitter eventually emerges from the backstage area and he's here in Sheffield tonight. Josh Bodom asked for competition. He certainly has it. As the Japanese competitor steps up to the top rope, he looks over the cheering crowd with a smile on his face and is certainly made to feel welcome. Josh Bodom looks concerned as he is approached by the Japanese star. Kushida takes the microphone from the champion who appears disgruntled at being disrespected. The Time Splitter follows up by saying 'You Junior Champion? Me Junior Heavyweight... You want competition? KUSHIDA IS COMPETITION!' The fans approve of the statement. He wants a shot at the title. Bodom begins to back away however tries to blind side Kushida with a shot with the title belt out of nowhere. Kushida manages to duck just in time, grab a hold of the arm and drags The Blonde Bomber down in to the Hoverboard Lock. The crowd are on their feet whilst the champion yells for help. He eventually taps out and Kushida releases the hold. Bodom flees the ring holding his arm in agony. In the mean time, The Time Splitter picks up the belt in the ring to look at himself. A replay plays on the video screen of him making the champion tap. He eventually throws the championship out to the champion who makes a hasty exit. Kushida plays to the crowd in Sheffield and then leaves himself. It appears that Josh Bodom has a new contender for his gold. Viper & Xia Brookside vs. Nikki Cross & Katey Harvey BUILD: All four of these women have a lot to prove at the moment and what a great move it was by Sweet Saraya to give them that proving ground by making this tag team match. Nikki Cross lost her final title shot two weeks ago despite putting up a great fight doing major damage to the champion's knee. Her partner Katey Harvey managed to get a cheap non-title victory over the champion three weeks ago thanks to outside interference. If she can follow it up with another win this evening, that must really put her far ahead in the queue for a championship shot very soon. Xia Brookside has been on a roll as of late winning the Klondyke Kate Classic to put herself in the mix too. The Wildcat was warned by the champion last week though that her luck will run out if she decides to step in the ring with her who coincidentally is her partner this evening. The heels enter together. They appear thick as thieves and on the same page. Alex Shane predicts that with Cross's ruthless streak and the Harvey's willingness to do whatever it takes to get the win that this duo are a real force to be reckoned with. Brookside enters to cheers and isn't afraid to enter the ring where her opponent are. The heels try to psych out the 19-year old prodigy however she responds with a smile when her partner's music echoes around the arena. Viper storms out looking like she means serious business. The crowd are happy to see the champion in action and hope she can do some damage to the two heels who have proved to be a royal pain for her in recent weeks. MATCH HIGHLIGHTS - The heels use bully tactics to dominate the first half of the match keeping Xia Brookside cornered. They keep her isolated and also deliver a variation of the Hart Attack to gain a two count in the opening minutes. - Xia Brookside keeps attempting to get the tag however is repeatedly cut off. The Wildcat comes close after delivering a Running Leg Lariat to Nikki Cross. Just before she can get to her corner, Katey Harvey comes in to drag her back. - Nikki Cross floors Brookside with a Scoop Slam. The Queen Of Chaos takes to the ropes, flies off and no one is home when she hits the canvas. This gives Xia the time to finally get her hot tag to the fresh Viper. - Viper storms in with a Clothesline, a Back Body Drop and a Vertical Suplex. Katey Harvey then launches herself off the ropes for a Diving Crossbody. She is caught and nailed with a Running Powerslam. - The champion remains in control until Nikki Cross escapes a Samoan Driver attempt to work the already injured leg of Viper which she targeted two weeks ago. She even applies a Single-Leg Crab in her corner. - Katey Harvey continues to work the leg of The Vixen Of Violence. The hot head from Ireland dives off the ropes with a Diving Elbow Drop on to the knee leaving the champion in a vulnerable state looking for a tag. FINISH: Katey Harvey continues to try and keep the champion down. Eventually Viper pushes her way up. The Vixen Of Violence launches Harvey in to the corner before executing an Running Corner Splash. She tags out to Xia Brookside who immediately makes an impact with a Missile Dropkick. Nikki Cross steps in but is planted with a Dropkick to the outside herself. Harvey tries to hook Xia for a German Suplex however the Klondyke Kate Classic winner elbows her way to safety. The Wildcat turns the tables with the Ace Crusher out of nowhere to a big pop from the crowd. The referee counts three as the crowd count along. Brookside deals the win for her team and once again proves that she has a real bright future in the women's division. After taking to each turnbuckle to celebrate, she hops down and is confronted by Viper who has her title on her shoulder. The Vixen Of Violence slowly nods her head. The two exchange some words before Xia Brookside opens the rope for the champion who is clearly favouring her knee. As Viper accepts the token gesture, she keeps her eyes on Brookside who continues to celebrate in the ring. Jennifer Louise is in the backstage area for her final interview of the evening. Zack Sabre Jr. and Will Ospreay, collectively known as Hybrid Theory, look like they have a lot on their mind. They apparently requested this time to talk. Zack Sabre Jr. speaks up about hearing what The Sanguinary had to say earlier tonight about the state of the tag team division. The group claim they have beaten every one however The Technical Wizard looks around and sees plenty of teams ready and waiting for an opportunity including them. He respects that Havoc and Haskins have beaten some of the best but reminds them that they haven't beaten them. Will Ospreay chimes in with his opinion. The Aerial Assassin believes that the champions are all talk. If The Sanguinary truly believe they are the best, he asks why they seem to cut corners every time they defend the straps. Ospreay tells us he isn't demanding a shot. He just wants the champions to step up and give them and the rest of the division a fair shake. At this point, The Grizzled Young Veterans turn up both slow clapping. Zack Gibson reminds Ospreay that they talk a big game but if he recalls correctly it was him that lost to his partner James Drake in the ring last week. The interview ends with Gibson turning to the camera and claiming that if any team in this division deserves a shot at the belts then it is The GRIZZLED...YOUNG...VETERANS! 3-on-1 Handicap Elimination Match Big Damo vs. Fit Finlay, Dave Taylor & Robbie Brookside BUILD: These two parties may be a part of the same faction however the war between them dates back a couple of months now. Big Damo was suspended indefinitely after causing mayhem following William Regal's security team accidentally costing him his opportunity to become the inaugural EPW British Atlas Champion. After a couple of months past, he returned earlier tonight receiving the aforementioned belt as a gift from Nick Aldis in exchange to wipe the slate clean with The Corporate Entourage. He accepted however told commissioner William Regal later on that his animosity towards his security team was still very much there and he wanted them in the ring as a final apology for the way he had been treated. The reluctant boss obliged. Finlay, Taylor and Brookside don't seem too happy with this ruling and were even told by their leader to go prove themselves otherwise they could be ex-communicated from The Corporate Entourage altogether. This would mean them out of the jobs. Even on their way down the aisle, the trio are arguing amongst each others and nerves seem high. Big Damo doesn't seem nervous at all. He is out for revenge. MATCH HIGHLIGHTS - Big Damo knocks all three down with a Clothesline and a Scoop Slam each leading to them rolling out to ringside to talk tactics. They slowly climb up to the apron to reluctantly resume the match in official capacity. - Robbie Brookside charges in swinging with multiple lefts and rights. The Beast From Belfast wipes him out with a Lariat before unleashing several chops on him in the corner. Brookside staggers out and comedically drops face first. - The Beast From Belfast drags Brookside up by the back of his t-shirt, hoists him on to his back and delivers the Ulster Plantation for the pin. The referee counts three. Robbie Brookside is eliminated from the match. - Dave Taylor is dragged over the ropes immediately with a Belly-To-Belly Suplex. The experienced grappler pulls himself up but is sent launching in to the corner with Damo's trademark Bicycle Kick; the Barn River Boot. FINISH: Big Damo laughs to himself as he watches Regal's stooge squirm in the corner. He drags him in the middle and locks on the Cu Chullain's Wrath to which Dave Taylor taps out with immediate effect. Fit Finlay bravely charges in with a boot to the back of his opponent's head. The Beast From Belfast no-sells it as he rises back to his feet. Finlay is launched in to the turnbuckles, drops to his arse and is nailed with a Running Cannonball. He locks on the Cu Chullain's Wrath again which literally sends the veteran to sleep. Damo with possibly one of the most convincing wins in company history. As his arm is raised, The Corporate Entourage fill the ring. William Regal has the microphone announcing Damo as the winner of the match and then officially fires his security team who were just made a complete show of. The commissioner declares that what stands before you is the most dominant force in the world of wrestling. They are in possession of the most prestigious prize on the continent and more importantly they hold the power. He warned everybody that if they didn't follow his lead then they would suffer the consequences. Nick Aldis is passed over the microphone. The EPW World Undisputed Champion reveals that after giving Big Damo his other title belt, he is in a fairly giving mood tonight. The National Treasure has heard that Pete Dunne isn't in a great way after last week however states that he will give The Bruiserweight another shot at the gold if he can find the cahonies to return to the ring within the next month. Regal looks over confused and wonders what the hell Aldis is doing. The champion assures his boss that The Aldis Crusade will roll on and Dunne with be left at the bottom of a mounting scrap heap of men that dare stand in the way of The Corporate Entourage. The show ends with William Regal and Nick Aldis hugging as the rest of The Corporate Entourage applaud. |

Glad to see the big man back, but something doesn’t smell right. He doesn’t seem to be the type of guy to side anyone, and I doubt he’ll drop interest in the top belt just for the Atlas strap. I guess we’ll see where this leands. Got the feeling Dupree will be just putting people over, but his effort in this one looks respectable. Glad to see TK’s comeback still in motion. On that note, kind of unsure what to think of Jordan Devlin’s declaration on targeting import talents. Does he fear job security that much? Kinda don’t blame Regal for giving Damo the match, the man is one person’s bad side you don’t want to be on. Have a feeling it’s only a matter of time before whatever the masked one’s secret gets revealed, one way or another. Didn’t expect to see Regal fire three guys to have just Big Damo replace them. Though if Regal can keep him happy then the move could pay off, but long term that’s easier said than done. Good luck to the boss though. |

- An interesting unity between Aldis and Damo. Reminds me of Braun/Dolph in my league - a good opener, set the foundation for the angle.- The tag match was an interesting match, but didn't really capture me for Rene Dupree's debut. Though, I'm a big fan of Jordan Devlin and I guess using the match to get Devlin over is A-OK in my book. Though, personally, I hope to see Rene do something cool - he's a REALLY fun heel, but I think he'll be wearing a babyface role here - which is something I'm not sure about just yet. - I liked the set up for Damo vs. The Corporate Entourage. Damo has this really great 'tweener' gimmick going into his return that I'm digging. - Starr vs. Banks was okay. I did really like the Suicide dive/guard rail spot. Banks winning was no surprise, as David Starr is more of a midcard face that wins some/losses some to me. - Bram vs. Wolfgang was okay, but seemed too familiar to the Starr/Banks ending - wherein the numbers game and outside interference played into the ending. I would've liked to have seen either Bram or Banks take the L for a botched interference or something. - Ligero/Noam is, thus far, my favorite bout. It was simple, but told a good story. Ligero/Hendry story is definitely one to look out for. I've been enjoying the slow burn on that angle. - Bodom/KUSHIDA build was perfect. I actually am hoping to see KUSHIDA pull off the win and be a more permanent fixture in EPW. He's one of my favorite cruiserweights in the biz today. Good job on this booking! - Viper vs. Xia is going to be epic. I love the subtle message that Xia was the one who saved the match for them, and that while respecting Viper, she is taunting her. Viper, who is used to being the stronger of the women, now is watching as this young lion is seemingly surpassing her - begging the question "Who is the REAL underdog?" Viper going in with a knee injury also tells me Xia will be her hardest opponent to date. - Nicely done with the Damo stuff. For a second, I thought we'd see Damo go face - but looks like he's still with the group. And it's actually the 3 guards that take the fall. I get the feeling Damo is doing what Dunne could not - killing the team from the inside. Which will pose an interesting face-off between Damo/Dunne in the future. Overall, fun show. Some "off" bits, but NOTHING that turned me off. Again, EPW is one of the feds where I really feel every match matters. And while other angles are happening, it's clear who the main eventers are. It helps the pacing of the show immensely. |
