Riverview Episode #0143 OAD: 7/24/2013 Guest Star: Erin Karplunk as Judge. (Scene 1: Courtroom) (The judge sits at the desk and everyone in the courtroom sits down. Larry is in the audience. Terrance is sitting behind one table. Clark brings Natalie out and sits with her at her side of the table.) Judge: Ok, we are here to day to determine if Ms. Fields here should be released on bail or remain in prison Terrance: That’s correct your honor. Judge: Ms. Fields, why do you feel that you should be released on bail? Natalie: Your honor. The actions that took place I believe happened from my other personality. I know for a fact that I never laid a hand on Mr. Bard that night. I was never there, therefore, if physical evidence suggests that I was there that must mean that my other personality Nancy was the one that committed the crime. Nancy is presently not in control of my body and I wish to be released on bail to seek help for my illness. (Natalie looks to the judge as the scene shifts.) (Scene 2: Francis Mansion) (William enters the house as Jessica comes down the stairs.) Jessica: I just put Charlene down for a nap. William: Well then maybe I could put you down for a nap. (William kisses Jessica’s neck and she pushes him back slightly) Jessica: When did you plan to tell me that you hired Marie as a consultant? (William gives Jessica a disbelieving look) (Scene 3: New York City Hospital) (Marie storms into the waiting room and sees Jake) Marie: Oh, thank god Jake I’m so sorry I was in a meeting with your dad actually. I got the first flight I could out here. What happened? Jake: Some burglar shot her. Marie: Oh my god. How long is the coma supposed to last? Jake: David said no longer than a couple of weeks. It’s a trauma coma so it’s not as long as most. Marie: Can I go see her? Jake: Yes, actually, please do because I have to go to the airport and rearrange our tickets. Everything’s such a mess. Marie: Absolutely, go do it, I’ll stay with her until you get back. Jake: Thanks Marie. (Jake leaves and Marie enters Melanie’s hospital room) (Scene 4: Courtroom) Judge: I don’t even need to hear the prosecution’s side of this argument. Ms. Fields, do you honestly expect me to grant you bail when you have no control over your actions? Who’s to say that tomorrow you wont go out and kill someone else as your alter personality? You are a danger to society until you get help so there is no way I can sign off on you being released into the general public again. I’m sorry Ms. Fields but you’re going to have to wait this one out behind bars. (The judge gets up and leaves as Natalie tilts her head back out of frustration and Clark takes her back to her cell.) (Scene 5: Francis Mansion) William: I don’t know Jessica, probably never I don’t generally pass business decisions by you. Jessica: You don’t think this one would be one that I’d appreciate having run by me? William: I don’t know what you want anymore? Jessica: I want Marie the hell out of our lives. William: That’s not possible Jessica. She’s the mother of my child. Jessica: So am I. William: And I’ve never asked you to do a thing before. Jessica: This isn’t what this is about. William: It is what this is about. Marie is carrying my child. I’m going to support her. Jessica: Then buy her an apartment and pay her bills. I don’t want you working that closely with her. William: I offered, she refused. Plus she’s a consultant Jessica. I email her or call her and ask her for advice. Jessica: Then what was she doing in your office today? William: A meeting. It was the first time we collaborated, I felt like it should’ve been done in person. Jessica: Make me the Riverside manager. William: What? Jessica: I want to do my part and that way I can be in the meeting with you and Marie. William: You want to ultimately be a partner with Marie. You two would have to work together. Jessica: Not exactly, Riverside and The Recovery Room are competing businesses. William: Even worse, you and Marie don’t need to get into a competition. Jessica: Why not? William: It’s not a good business move. Jessica: Screw you William. (Jessica storms out of the room and William shakes his head) (Scene 6: New York City Hospital) (Marie grabs a seat next to Melanie’s bed and holds her sisters hand) Marie: This takes me back. Remember when I would sit by your bed for hours when you were waiting for your plastic surgery? This feels just like it. Only a bit more serious. (Marie chuckles to herself) Marie: Oh, so you cant roll your eyes at me right now that’s why I’m telling you this but William and I are getting closer again. (Marie hears a door close behind her and assumes that it’s Jake) Marie: Wow, Jake that was fast. Look at her. Look at how beautiful she looks just lying there. Mark: She always was my gorgeous baby. (Marie turns and sees Mark standing there) Marie: Dad?! (Marie’s jaw drops as she looks at her father) |

Can't wait for the Marie/Mark scenes tomorrow! Jessica is finally fighting back! I hope she finds a way to either work with Marie or against her! Let the fireworks begin! |
