Riverview Episode #0154 OAD: 8/8/2013 (Scene 1: Second Townhouse) (Marie storms into the house as Melanie is picking up the living room) Melanie: Where have you been? Marie: Seeing dad. Melanie: You? Visited dad in prison? Marie: Yeah. Melanie: I went to, after your little pep talk. Marie: And? Melanie: I remembered how much I hated him for abandoning us as children. I want him to rot in that prison. Marie: Don’t. Melanie: What? Marie: Don’t press charges against dad? (Melanie gives Marie a shocked look) (Scene 2: Riverside) (Jessica and Ron are both behind the bar doing inventory. When both of their phones go off at the same time. They check their phones.) Jessica: You spill first. Ron: You. Jessica: Fine. William and Marie are having a girl. Ron: He texted you that? Jessica: We aren’t exactly on speaking terms right now. Ron: Gotcha. Jessica: Your turn. Ron: Ann and Jake’s divorce is final. (Jessica looks taken aback.) Jessica: Oh. Ron: You look disappointed. Jessica: Not disappointed, well maybe. I don’t know. I mean I never got to know Ann. She seemed good for Jake. You never want your kid to get divorced, but it seems like it’s better for everyone. Charlene, Ann, Jake, Melanie William and myself, you. Ron: Me? Jessica: Aren’t you and Ann happy together? (Ron gives Jessica an uneasy look) (Scene 3: The Recovery Room) (Jake enters and William’s behind the bar and Jake starts laughing uncontrollably.) Jake: What in the hell are you doing behind the bar? (William holds up the bottle of liquor he’s holding) William: Bartending. Jake: You don’t have any clue what you’re doing, do you? (Jake smirks at his dad who smirks back) William: Marie and Melanie both needed to day off. Jake: Yeah, it’s Mark’s arraignment. William: Well, the CEO of the company that owns your restaurant is cheap labor. Jake: Is that what this is? Cheap labor? Or is this you getting closer to Marie? (Jake glares at William who gives a guilty look back) (Scene 4: Second Townhouse) Melanie: What do you mean don’t press charges. You’re the reason dad’s in jail in the first place. Marie: I know, but after my visit I had a change of heart. (Melanie rolls her eyes) Melanie: Of course you have. Marie: If you press charges dad will mess everything. Your wedding, my daughter’s birth. Melanie: Daughter? Marie: Yeah, I just found out yesterday. (Melanie sighs) Melanie: I’m just supposed to forgive him? Marie: Melanie, he’s our father, and he’s a shitty one, but he can’t work on improving if we don’t give him the chance. Melanie: When do you want me to drop the charges? Marie: Today. At the arraignment. (Melanie glares at her sister) (Scene 5: Riverside) Jessica: Hello? Earth to Ron. You going to answer the question? Ron: We’re fine. Jessica: Really? Ron: Yes. Jessica: Why do I think that there’s something else going on? Ron: I’m surprised that Jake didn’t tell you. Jessica: Tell me what? Ron: Ann and I aren’t actually a couple. We cant stand each other. Jessica: Then why did you publically announce your engagement? Ron: To help Ann get custody of her daughter. (Jessica glares at Ron) (Scene 6: The Recovery Room) William: Jake, your mother is paranoid. Nothing is going on between Marie and I. Jake: If you say so. William: Why are you here anyway? Jake: I was hoping that Melanie would be working. William: You didn’t think she’d be at Mark’s arraignment? Jake: I’m not sure what Melanie is doing? She’s been avoiding me since we came back from New York. William: Oh. Jake: Yeah, I’m sure Marie has filled her into the fact that I with held the information that Mark was the shooter from the police. William: You did? Jake: Yes, I wanted Melanie to determine if she wanted her father arrested or not. Listen, it doesn’t matter. I’m going to go to the arraignment. We’ll talk about this later. (Jake turns to leave and then turns back to William) Jake: Let me know if you need any help “bartending”. Jake smirks at his father as he leaves. William looks down at the bottles.) William: Will do. |

There's an interesting chemistry between Jessica and Ron. I think Jessica is playing with a huge fire and honestly, I think she likes it. This could be her way of getting William's attention. Nice father/son chat. |
