(Terri Conn and Daniel Cosgrove are standing in front of the TopTV studios)
Terri: And now, it’s time.
Daniel: There’s not much to say other than that.
Terri: We got the easiest part of the day.
Daniel: Without further adeu, we’re pleased to present to you The 2013 Top Awards!

(The Awards open backstage as Ingo Rademacher and Melissa Archer are sitting in the make up chair going over lines)
Ingo: These lines are a piece of cake.
Melissa: I know, how good are we that no only do we both have gigs on successful soaps, but we get to host the awards show celebrating all things soaps?
Ingo: It is pretty sweet, especially when you’re celebrating the strongest year the soaps have had in years.
Melissa: At least we have a successful soap that isn’t going anywhere.
Ingo: Well you were unemployed for a bit this year.
Melissa: They killed me off of Heat, but I jumped right over to Riverview seamlessly.
(As Ingo and Melissa are talking they notice a make up artist organizing their shelve)
Ingo: Excuse me? Are you, you look familiar.
(Susan Lucci turns around and looks at Ingo and Melissa)
Melissa: Susan Lucci!?
Susan: Hi guys, I’m just trying to organize my makeup, there’s a big death scene today that I need to get prepared for.
Ingo: Y-you do make-up now?
Susan: I had to. After All My Children was cancelled, I had to get a job somewhere.
Melissa: The market’s that hard?
Susan: Yeah it is! Listen, you two better get out on stage before the network cancels the awards show!
Ingo: They can’t cancel the awards show. There’s already a crowd outside waiting. They’re live.
Susan: Take it from me, the networks can do anything they want. Whenever they want.
(Ingo and Melissa look at each other and leave the dressing room, heading towards the stage. They stop when they see someone on a ladder changing a light bulb.)
Melissa: David Canary?!
(The guy gets off the ladder and looks up and it’s in fact David Canary.)
David: Melissa, Ingo, how are you doing?
Ingo: Well, we’re headed out to host the Top Awards, what are you doing?
David: I just made sure that all of the light bulbs were shining bright.
(Ingo and Melissa look at each other)
Melissa: That’s your job now?
David: Yep, after they cancelled the show they gave most of us jobs back here around the studio.
Ingo: Wow, well that was nice of them. Listen David, we have to go host the awards show, so we’ll talk to you in a bit.
David: Good luck!
(Ingo and Melissa continue walking towards the stage when they see someone mopping the floors.)
Melissa: Erika?!
(Erika Slezak sets the mop against the wall and looks up at Melissa and Ingo)
Erika: Hey guys, you’re hosting the show tonight, right?
Ingo: That’s right, what are you doing here?
Erika: Almost done mopping the floors then I can watch the show.
Melissa: You-work here now?
Erika: Oh yeah, after they cancelled One Life to Live I didn’t know what else to do.
Ingo: Ok, well we really should get going.
Erika: Can’t wait to see you on TV!
(Ingo and Melissa race for the stage)
Melissa: We really need to do a good job tonight or else we’ll be mopping floors!
(Melissa and Ingo step out from behind the curtain and onto the stage to a standing ovation)

Susan: And Melissa, watch your underarms. That’s what got me.
Melissa: Under arms?
Erika: I believe your generation calls them side boobs?
(Melissa lifts up her arms to check her arms)

Wow. First of all what a great awards show, Erik you should be proud. I was laughing all the way through the opening and closing segments, brilliant!

Secondly, you should've seen my reaction when I read that Clark Hill had won those awards. My jaw dropped and I had to check again to make sure I had read it right lol. I know I nominated it but I never actually expected it to win lol (I seem to be the only one who doesn't think Clark Hill is that good haha) especially as the other shows on here are so brilliantly written! Thank you so much :)
