I'm sitting around today plotting story and I started to wonder about everyone else's writing. For me, I know were a lot of my stories will be going into summer but I'm plotting February Sweeps right now. So I'm curious, how far ahead are you guys with your writing? How far down the line do you guys know where your story is going? Let's Discuss.. |

With Riverview I actually don't plot in advance. I know where things are headed and I have points that I want to get to like 'by February, I need to be here' and then I just write. I used to plot two months in advance when I wrote AMC/OLTL but I felt like it was too hard to adjust stories based on fan reaction. |

i'm writting one month further and because i'm not that english i have to think about my stuff twice how i can write that in american because i'm german.. it's not that simple because america has other traditions than Germans or british People.. i have to think about american stuff and than my characters.. and on ATWT i have planned my Show until August and thinking about taking a break in September for 4 weeks like GTST in the netherlands from july to September.. but not sure.. and i already know how my Storys end but sometimes i Change some things here and there. and i finished corville season 2 in december and created my own universe to not think about random stuff like traditions and all this stuff. i just care about my characters and how i want my season arc to end and what twists i Need/want to add Edited by ZackMallory, Jan 12 2014, 09:45 PM.

As for Restless Style when it comes to February Sweeps I have plans here and there but my stories will be taking off into the months ahead as it heads into May Sweeps so hopefully by summer my storylines will take off even further from there |

I plot my show far enough along that I know how i'll start and wrap a story before I start writing. |

With Fatal Mistakes, I usually pick out things I want to happen in the season while there are other times where I'm jotting down notes, so I do plot and outline far ahead to the end of the season, and have an idea what the next season might be. But I also noticed it has its ups and downs. With FM, because we have such a complex story were telling, its better to tackle one at a time than going all over the place or jumping right to the end of the season, so now with the re-writes I am going as I write/outline the episodes. Life In Port Charles - Since I am heavily behind, and currently in Dec 2012 episodes, I Have episodes plotted far in advance to April 2013. Never Going Back - I don't go far in advanced because I never know if something could change or fan's reactions so I usually go at least 1 or 2 episodes ahead but that's it. Crisis - I at least know what the first arc of the season is, nothing more. So I don't far heavily far with Crisis either. |

With my old shows I would plan ahead and write brief summaries of what I would do for each episode, but I didn't really like that. So now, I basically just plan how the pace will go in my head. LOL. |

Co-sign with Nate. I did this at a site before and was really unprepared. Since I'm doing two shows, I going to try an outline strategy. |

I would usually think of some new stories for Justice & Love from my head. |

For me personally I think it varies, some story lines I have planned right up until summer 2015! But then with others I have only planned a few weeks. I suppose it's just depends on how I'm feeling about a certain storyline. Other times (and I know I probably shouldn't do this as it can make the episode look sloppy) with the smaller stories, I get the ideas as i'm writing the episode lol
